Dani--you ran faster than you think you did!!

Just an FYI--
Your timing chip on your shoe starts timing you once you step on the pad as you go across the starting line--you will have 2 times when you get your results--"chip time" and "gun time"(or whatever they call it--when they actually start the race with a gun or cannon or whatever they did to let everyone know the clock had started to run the race).

So, subtract 20 minutes from your 5:56:00--you actually did it in 5:36:00--it makes it more fair for those of us who start farther back in the pack but run just as fast as people who are ahead of you in the starting line and are running the same "pace" as you--make sense??

EITHER WAY!! Congratulations, it is a MAJOR accomplishment to complete a marathon and Chicago is up there as being one of the most popular, along with New York, Twin Cities and a handful of others.

You go girl!!

THANK YOU MARY!!!!!!! ;)

I just saw this post! :)I'm just glad I ran fast enough to get a medal!!!!!!! YAY!

I was slower than expected because of my knee injury. I'm determined to try again and beat my time.

Ha! You've caught the marathon bug!!
The first one really helped me do things a little differently for the second one, not MAJOR things, but just a tweak here and there in my training.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself(knee and all)--it'a an amazing achievement!!

Mary:)
