Morning Girlies! :D

Well, with the way this week is shaping up I'm gonna be all over the DAMAGE CONTROL come Sunday when I get home! :eek: I don't think I OVER-ate y'day but the eats surely weren't good. I ate a burger n fries for lunch, an ice cream sundae about 3pm and then a meatball sandwich for dinner. :eek: It's not like I ate myself silly. I never felt stuffed or anything but still. UGH! Now tonight I am going to MIL's for dinner. Tmrw has to be STELLAR cause then Saturday I will likely go COMPLETELY off the wall with Jen in CT....just by virtue of our drinking plans alone! :D Tmrw is supposed to be a rest day for me...I'M SKIPPING IT!!!! I think it'll be a good day for a nice LOOOOONG run to make some room! ;)

So my lats are on fire today but I have no idea why!? Not complaining mind you! LOL Today's work out is Tear It Up. It's a long one so although I'd LOVE to add on a short cardio (ala' CLX perhaps!) to burn off some of y'day's eats, I'm not so sure I'll have time but we'll see....:)

Jacque:: Congrats on the 1 pound loss! WOOT WOOT! I see good things comin' your way girl! You WILL lose those pesky 5 pounds! :D

Jen:: Well I'm bringin' my camera and have a pic phone too so with those and your phone, we should have it covered. ;) I'll email ya any pics you want anyway. Not sure when I'll order Insanity. I really need to wait until this weekend is over with and I see how much cash I go through. I may need to wait a bit longer. LMAO about your reaction to my thread title y'day. Sorry about that. I was obviously not awake yet! :p Glad you enjoyed Cool It Off. I don't have the patience to do nothing but stretch for an hour. You are better then I!!!

Diana:: Yes, I do believe we are basementless (wait, is that a word? LOL) because we are right by the water in a flood zone. I say a big PHBBBBBBT to that! Looking back on it, we really should never have purchased this house but hey, we learn from our mistakes, right? I don't care if I have a dining room or a big EIK. I just want enough room to entertain. I feel bad having more then 1 or 2 people at my house to eat because it becomes so squished. We barely fit everyone! So didja have time for your work out yesterday?
 
Good Morning DC'ers!!

Wendy: I don't even have the good excuse like a fun day at the zoo to explain my horrible eating the past few days :eek::eek::( Come Sunday, It's going to be complete and utter detox for me!! I was wary about Cool it Off yesterday, and I thought about skipping it, but I gotta tell ya...I've had the strangest DOMS since starting SS. Not painful per se, just...fatiguing. (Yeah, that's prolly not a real word, but it's the best I can come up with at this time of the morning. ;)) So once I decided to just do it, I was glad that I had. And today I have to say I'm feeling better. Less stiff and sore. That said, I didn't do Tear it Up this morning because I didn't get myself out of bed on time for it. I opted for a run on the treadmill and that likely has something to do with my "looser" feeling today :D I'll be bringing DSO's camera with me to the casino, btw, so we'll be ALL SET!!

Hello to everyone else! I'll bbl after I catch up on yesterday's thread. I only have three files left to prep for tomorrow's meetings, so I'm golden right now and should be popping in quite a bit today ;) Yay me!

Oh yeah, and my workout this a.m. was a 45 minute run on the tread, part SS, part sprints.

Woo Hoo Happy Thursday - I can't wait for tomorrow ! ! ! :eek:

Got my ME in yesterday - darn DVD is freezing at a couple points in my workout room player - one in the family room works fine ! :mad: At least it was mostly through the push ups which I skip these day so . . . got a good workout in anyway. Scale is down another lb too ! :confused: By the end of the day I was putting everything but the kitchen sink in my mouth and was askeered to even check? Barely ate less than GWF showed I burned. Please cross fingers and toes for me that this continues ! Thanks !;)

Wendy - so how was the zoo besides the food? :p Sounds scrumptious and not all that bad. By the way, I joined you in the ice cream as yesterday was our office August birthday celebration. Birthday boy is gluten intolerant so ice cream it was. Had a bowl of light vanilla and skipped the fudge, etc. but boy was it scrumptious. Mind you it was only an hour after I stuffed a cup of cottage cheese, cup of spinach, cucs, peppers, tomoatos into my mouth and was so full I felt bloated. Didn't keep me from eating the ice cream though ! :rolleyes: A run sounds like just the thing for you today. Don't fret - you'll be fine. You are so good at keeping things in check after times like this week will bring. Heck - just look at that new gorgeous avatar you got posted ! :p

Jen - hope those files get prepped soon ! I bet the stress of the week is what has kidnapped your eating habits this week? It does that to me either by making me eat horribly, drink more CABs or just not want eat or exercise at all. Keep a chugging and celebrate this weekend with Wendy ! I am sooo jealous of you girls ! Can't wait to hear the reports and see the pics.

Good job on the run this AM - ITA about loosening up after a run - helps me too. OK this SS series gets more interesting with odd types of DOMS popping out here . . . :rolleyes: :confused:

Jacque: I'm not sure what has gotten into me re: the diet, but I think it might have something to do with how tired I've been. I do fine during the day but all bets are off once I'm home, and because I've been so tired I haven't been putting a lot of thought into what I'm making for dinner. It's more about how fast it can get thrown together :rolleyes: Today is a new day, though, and I'm taking your advice and chugging the H2O! Great job getting ME in yesterday :) I want to know what your trick is to see the scale dropping like it is! Good for you! My fingers are tightly crossed that it continues. And btw, there's still plenty of room in my suitcase for any stragglers that might want to stow away ;)

Hi Ladies,

I just finished painting DS1 old bedroom. The bedroom change is back on. It only took an hour and 15 min to paint, it was really pretty easy since it's totally empty. I think this weekend DS2 will be moving to DS1's old room on the main floor. We probably won't move Jerod over to the larger room until labor day weekend. That way we will have time to paint ds2's room before Jerod moves over. We also have to have an internet connection put in upstairs. It's all good though.

No workout yesterday other than cleaning the carpets. I don't think the GWF picked up all my steps as they were very small while cleaning the carpet...That rug dr. is pretty heavy when it's full of water. I wanted someone to come clean the carpets, DH wanted to rent a machine. Of course half way through he was exhausted. We could've paid someone and they would've been done in a couple of hours....instead we spent all day!

After I shower the kids will help get all the furniture back where it belongs! Then it's off to run some errands. I may even try to get in 2 4DS weight w/o's (yesterday's and today's rotation) and then I have bootcamp for cardio tonight.

Wendy-I hear you on the damage control. I've been doing pretty good but had DH order in last night. He chose chinese which I love, but sesame chicken (my fav) isn't the healthiest. I had a terrible stomachache all night and only slept about 41/2 hrs.

Jen-It's nice to see the calorie burn is pretty high this week, on my vacation no less. My house is going to look so good though. We really should have the inside painted again...can't do everything in one week! Nice workout today. I'm famished today and I know its because I didn't sleep very well last night.

Laura-I'm so jealous, make sure you put up lots of pics! It sounds like you are having a fab time!!!!!

Jacque-nice job on the weightloss!!! I'm not weighing after my salty sesame chicken. Maybe Sun I will weigh again.

Hey Gals!

I didn't get back to this joint yesterday!:( My boss was here all day and I was kept fairly busy. I went for a run last night after DS went to bed, around 12 k and then I had to get ready to come back to work...and I have to come back here again tonight! But there is a refueler here with me all day so I may able to get out of here alittle early...considering I have to come back tonight;)

DH took DD to the city last night to catch the flight early today...but she didn't make it on the plane!:mad: It was a standby ticket and she couldn't get on! I was sooo mad! I don't know why I even went along with it. I should have told them that if they wanted to see her,they needed to buy her a ticket. Im sure they feel like crap and so they should!

Im hoping to get another run in tonight before I have to come back here but we will see what happens.

So yes...today is THURSDAY ;) and I am happy about that. Its my looong weekend off and I am not back to work until Mon night! DH and I are going camping..can you believe that??? I am sooo not an outdoors person but I guess I will have to do something that he likes every once in a while!

Wendy** Im guessing you have the days of the week allll figured out?? hehe! We are allowed to be confused sometimes..we can also blame it on men! According to FB you were going for a run? How was it? Im hoping to get out tonight! Woo Hoo! I love running in the evening...all by myself!

Jacque** I can't even find my ME dvd! How weird is that? I wanted to do ME abs last night but I couldn't find the dvd...I have the case, just no dvd. I have been in the mood to eat today, if that makes you feel any better. Prehaps I am just thristy?

Diana** I thought about painting DD's room while she was gone, but she wasn't gone long enough. Are you doing it yourself? I enjoy painting but I don't like painting neat the ceiling cause thats where I make a mess:D

3.5 miles in the bag thanks to Miss Grace. ;) I took Jen's lead and blew off Tear It Up today. I will do it tmrw for sure though. Actually, I would do half of it right now (and the rest tmrw) but I just don't have the time...:(

Lori:: LoL, Yeah I'm all straight with my days now. :p Sorry about your DD. That stinks. She'll bounce back from it though.

Diana:: Yeah, men tend to want to do household chores like that themselves even if it's not the brightest idea in the world. LOL I know mine would cause he'd be too cheap to pay someone! :p Sorry about the bellyache. That stinks. I had a bit of a bad belly after lunch at the zoo y'day. Thank goodness it wasn't intense and it passed quickly.

Jacque:: Barely less is STILL less!!!!:) You know it's the few pounds I've recently lost that made all the difference in the world. Without that I NEVER would have taken much less POSTED a pic like the one in my avitar! A little goes a loooong way on a shorty like myself! :p People tend to :rolleyes: at me when I complain over a couple of pounds but they don't understand that when you are short, not overweight but just looking for that lean and toned look, a few pounds can make a HUGE difference! The zoo wasn't bad. I posted pics on FB of it. Nothing worth posting here...well, there IS one thing but I won't post it here. It's a little...um...off color shall we say? LOL

Jen:: Ok cool. Glad you have a camera to bring with you! I found the address for Foxwoods in my GPS so I should be good to go! :) Looks like a lot of time spent on ONE highway which is good...less chance of making a mistake! :eek: Sounds like blowing off Tear It Up for cardio was the right choice for you this morning. So I guess we'll be doing Tear It Up tmrw instead? I may also take a pilates class in the evening tmrw. I am gonna be STIFF AS A BOARD by the time I get to Foxwoods on Saturday! :p

Alrighty chicas, got lots to do and not much time to do it in....BBL tonight or in the morning!

Back for a quickie:

Jen - I'm not sure why I am down as much as I am but basically my only change is eating more - I typically eat pretty healthy and always workout if not 6 then 5 days a week alternating weights and cardio. My workouts have been kinda haphazard and more circuit/FB than 1 or 2 parts per day. Cardio mostly running but a little more step recently? Oh, and have been off BC pills for a week. That could be part of it too. Since GWF, cal deficits are typically 500 - 750 per day, a couple days though I was barely under. Lots of H20 also - man by noon I had downed half a gallon at least. That equates to stairs every time I need to go . . . :p I sure wish you girls were closer to this side of the world ! :confused: Thanks for the suitcase ride offer though. :D

Diana - Wowie, a new house pretty soon . . . I am like your DH and clean my own carpets. Bought a Bissell at Costco and know just how long it takes. Kinda nice for spot cleaning in between though. Well that sesame chicken sounds scrumptious ! I usually weigh after something like that or else I wouldn't tow the line ! :eek: The scale does help me stay accountable to myself. Hope Bootcamp is enduring so you can get a couple days workouts in all at once ! ;)

Lori - Well so you totally skipped letting us know how your jewelry party went ! :( Nice you have a loooong weekend coming up. I missed where DD was going for her trip? Hope she isn't too disappointed. Well as hungry as I was yesterday, today it is thirsty. I feel like I'm refilling my mug every half hour or so ! Only pain is then I need to get rid of it almost as fast ! :rolleyes: Hope you found time for your run.

Wendy - yup I know the "small person" syndrome and it just being a few pounds - I DO GET IT ! :p Now I also have the "old lady" syndrome thing going ! :eek: That's what's nice about these forums, yep ! Well apparently it is going to be time for me to join FB if I ever want to see pics, huh? One of these days I'll take the time.

Supposed to bike for 45 min today - it's pretty windy outside and my tires aren't pumped up so may just hit the TM for SS/interval run. Or perhaps something with a blast routine in it. Hmmmm. . .
 
Jacque** Sorry! My jewelry party went really well. I think she sold over $1400 b/c I get to get 10% of it in free jewelry! Yeah me! We weren't totally finished with the orders so I have to wait for her to call me on Sun to see what I want in free stuff. Out of all of it I only have one thing picked out for myself, the rest is christmas gifts...cheapskate, hey? :D DH is the money man so he will only be to proud of me! haha!

Wendy** I was just looking at your 18 miler thingy...do you have any races planned for this yr? I know you were thinking about a marathon? Have you thought about it since? I would consider coming down and doing the NY marathon with you!!!!! Seriously, I would. I have a feeling that you wouldn't cut me up into little peices and put me in your freezer!:p
