Damage Control....Wonderful Wednesday!

Good Morning Glories. :)

Today's work out is the second Body Blast Time Saver that works Back/Core. The cardio that is included in it is one segment of Step Blast plus 2 segments of the hi/lo from SJP. Although I would enjoy doing SB again, the SJP hi/lo was never a fave so I'm skipping it all and will give my best shot at doing CTX Allstep instead. It's been years. I hope I can (still) do it! That step routine took me FOREVER to learn the first time! :eek: After that I will move on to the weight work of the timesaver work out and then if I have time I will add on some BBL or Tonique. ;)

Diana:: I don't blame you for not wanting to do CC&B 6 days in a row. I think it's a great work out and really enjoyed it but there is NO WORK OUT that I would want to repeat that many times. When I did my Insanity rotation last year I did it 3x and then did some thing else the rest of the week. Sorry about your knee pain. I hope the icing does the trick! Good luck to Jerod w/the football! If he's good at it and he loves it then you just might have a future NFL player on your hands! ;) I've been cutting back on the starchy carbs for a long time myself but what I did y'day went way beyond that. It was super low carbs of ANY KIND! Very hard to do but I actually survived the day! I was going to do it again today but now I am going to my mom's for dinner so I think I will try it again tmrw! I got on the scale y'day morning and evening and it was the same (good sign!) and this morning it was 1.5# down. :) Hopefully doing it tmrw will battle the bloat I KNOW I will end up with from dinner tonight! :rolleyes: I could see myself doing this a couple days a week to battle bloat but I could NEVER do it every day and long term to lose weight.

Okay, I guess that's all for now so I'll wrap this up until I get to work later! :)

Work out is done!
It was awesome and fun (and All Step was a success! YAY!) but I could definitely feel the difference in my energy levels after going low carb y'day. I got very tired a lot sooner then I normally would have but I finished so I'm happy! :) No leg add-ons today. I didn't have enough time. Doing All Step made the rest of the work out longer. It was about 50 mins instead of 40. Oh well. No biggie!

Good Morning:D

I wasn't ready to get up when DS woke me but oh well...had to start my day some time and it was 8 o'clock! I'm not sure what is on the agenda today, other then the jewelry party I have tonight. I am co-hosting it with my SIL and we get some free stuff (depending on how much is sold) and we also get to choose certain items for 16.50....I can't wait cause there are a few braclets and rings there that I would never pay full price for.

Also not sure what my workout will be...def weights and a run I would imagine.

Wendy** Sounds like you had a good workout this a.m. Arent you proud of yourself? We are just getting up and you have your workout done! I can't wait for this week to be over so the bloat goes away. I am realizing that its mostly b/c TTOM is around the corner!

Diana** Can you workout with a bad knee? Maybe it is a good week to take it slower. Oh yes...we had quit the adventure. It maybe like child birth though and quickly forgotten.

I had two dreams last night, one...I got a new car b/c we are thinking about getting rid of the jeep and we have no clue what we would be getting in place of it. And two....I didn't get a job interview for the job I applied on:( Both of these dreams really could come true!

Lori:: Let's hope the first dream comes true :D but that the second one does NOT! :( Enjoy your work out and TRUST ME, if I had a choice I would soooooo rather be working out when the sun is up instead of being the first one done all the time! :p
 
Hi Ladies,

I don't need to be to work early..so her I am. My legs are pretty sore from lifting yestd'y so no run for me this morning. Instead, I'm leaning towards KPC, hoping that the kicks don't bother my sore knee.

My body is really changing and it's got to be the combo of weights and Insanity. I did not have these results when doing either one of these rotations separately. My arms are even changing...I'm so happy. I haven't stepped on the scale since last week, but doubt there is much change there. All my clothes still fit, some are much looser in the waist and hips...other just fit better. This rotation will go through mid September. It sounds like P90X may be next.

We have a team lunch planned, no afternoon w/o for me today.

DH just left to take Jerod to his first day of High School! He also took all his football gear to put in his football locker. He said the freshman football team has about 50 players. I'm sure there will be some players that don't even play.

Wendy-good workout this morning girl! Oh yes, I too remember struggling with the CTX step w/o's myself. Glad to hear the low carbing is working for you. Well it is quite motivating when I read your w/o and that it is already completed!

Lori-have fun at the jewelry party! A new car would be so fun! I certainly hope you get an interview. My knee isn't terrible and it's doesn't hurt too bad, its more sore and sore to the touch. Almost like bruise, it hurts to rub it which if it was muscular...I would think that would feel better.

Jacque-hope you had a productive trip and made it home safely.

Well I may have to cut my w/o short, but really want to do the kicking/punching combo's...bbl
 
Diana:: Yay for a later start today and double yay for the awesome results you are seeing! I added weight training to Insanity and saw great results. Not sure if it would have been different had I NOT included the weight work but I don't think I will ever be able to try it that way. It makes me nervous. :confused: Keep up the good work! Very exciting and motivating, isn't it? :D
 
Good morning ladies !

I'm home but it was not until 10 PM last night. Tired and trying to wake up and decide what to do. Am a little behind in my rotation - this week is 4DS w/o's with other cardio added in - no rest day for this week. Though I shouldn't do an entire hour's workout based upon how late it is, I am thinking I may just do it anyway and go in late.

Wendy - I do fine without the starchy carbs - most days eat only that one piece of bread. Key for me is to eat enough calories which is harder without the starches, but I usually up my proteins a bit - fruits help too ! Good to hear you made it and had enough energy to make it through your workout. I do remember carb loading for runs when I trained for the 10K - could really feel it if I didn't have rice or potato for lunch when I ran after work. That would be nice if you go get Joey for the weekend !

Lori - Have fun at your party tonight ! I love those types of parties but don't typically wear much jewelry - buy for gifts instead. Did you get your run in? ITA that deleting carbs and adding them back in is an art. I only did it when I needed to drop weight and lean up. What also works for me is not to eat them at night but for breakfast or lunch.

Diana - Wow that was a heavy leg wt day y'day ! What is the incline leg press? (think that is what you said?) So nice to hear again that your workouts are making great differences in your physique ! Way to go and stick with it ! Nothing better than a morphing body to keep you motivated. :D

Jacque:: I do okay with very little starches too but this normally means that I load up on veggies w/some fruit as well. Yesterday was not like that. It was tough! :eek: Today I will be in the middle between y'day's super low intake and my norm. I was going to do another day super low but as it turns out I am going to my mom's for dinner tonight and can't go low/no carb there so I will save it for tmrw. Friday thru Sunday I will eat normally and then see how I feel and what I want to do come Monday morning. Y'day's eating really affected my work out this morning so I have to be careful with that too. :confused: Enjoy whatever work out you decide to do today!
 
Hi ladies,

Glad I threw my w/o bag in the car this morning....Our lunch plans have been rescheduled. Will be doing shoulders and triceps and the rec ctr. Ended up doing a premix on KPC, it was 40 minutes and consisted of the w/u, all 3 combo's and abs.

Jacque-Did you get your w/o in?? Hope so since you didn't get home until late anyway. Instead of the straight leg press, you are pressing your legs up at an incline. Hey girls,

This AM ended up doing only the HIS portion of 4DS but while I was "desweating" I fixed my salmon salad so finished the C & Back work a few mins ago and am downing my salad as I relax a bit before heading back to the office.

Wendy - so you mean you went low carb including not many veggies/fruits? That would kill me ! Only ate proteins? Can you say ketosis?
I have tried that, but doesn't work well for me. Enjoy dinner at Mom's !

Diana - smart girl you are. TG you did plop your bag into the car. Hope you got a good workout in ! Ah, that is a machine I used when I had a gym membership over 10 yrs ago. Liked it cuz it was easy to do calf presses and plyos as well !
