Good morning ladies !

OOPS - started the thread on last weeks so pasted here . . .

Y'day was a no w/o day . . . time got away from me. AM was DH's Hot Wheels trek to open new boxes but then we went to the beach and had brunch. It was a beautiful day so after brunch we walked the beach and wharf. Then did our weekly shopping. Did some of my reading, prepped some food, made flash cards and it was dinner time !

So this AM I did a "Wendy/Lori" type combo: TM 15 min w/u, L&G 3 exercises, TM 5 min, L&G 3 exercises, TM 5 min, L&G 4 exercises and TM 5 min. By that time my HRM was showing 700 cals . . . probably a bit high but it was an hour w/o and being out of shape I did check my HR and the HRM was correct.

Laura - hope the game was a win . . . and that you are feeling better !

Lori - good to hear all is well with you. LOL at the 20 lbs . . . it might be a little harder but I am sure you will be able to get it off ! Nice that you can still get a few w/o's in per week. Imagine how it will be when you go back to 2 hrs a day ! Bummer that your clients can't get their #$%^ together and don't pay you. It is their dime they are wasting and they need to be honest with themselves. You are doing all you can. I thought lots of cardio would help but am now trying to add a little more weights in addition to see if that might kick up my metabolism. I might be losing a little fluff - will measure again next week. No major changes in how my pants fit but oh well. No worries . . . I am doing a great job at whining lately too !

Wendy - mish mosh crazy lady ! ! ! It is kinda fun and makes you think a little. I am so used to just popping in a DVD and following along . . . too many other things to think about that I don't spend time doing it with my w/o's. How was Lion King in 3D ? I saw the movie and the play . . . haven't even seen a 3D movie yet. LOL about the drinks for you and DH !

Diana - did ya ride your bike this weekend? what else ? ? ?

Super late check in for me. I should have been in bed an hour ago. :confused:

Today's work out didn't get done til after dinner which is a rarity for me anymore. I would have considered skipping it but I just took and unscheduled rest day on Friday so I couldn't let that happen! :eek:

My work out was as follows:

BR- Haters work out using 8# med ball and high step in place of UGI.
MMA Kickboxing-1st 2 combos wearing weighted gloves.
B&G-Ankle Weight Work (2# weights)
Criss Cross Cardio-Standing obliques holding 3# db's

Not sure what tmrw will bring....

Finally getting a UGI ball! So excited!!!! I posted about not being able to justify the cost on FB and within a couple hours DH saw my post and ordered it for me!!! I never expected it!!! :D:D:D:D

K, off to bed with me before I am unhappy in the morning....

Morning Ladines,

I've been gone all weekend, ate out a ton...and no workouts-UGH:mad::mad: What happened is we ended up picking MIL up from the hospital and staying the weekend to take care of her. DH's sister was supposed to stay but called at the last minute and said she couldn't make it and asked if we could stay. We couldn't say no at that late time. On top of that, Saturday was our 23rd anniversary. Now we are trying to pick another weekend to go celebrate.

Fortunately I'm back to clean eating today. I went grocery shopping at 8pm last night and got my meals prepared for the week. Hopefully my stomach will feel better soon. I'm also looking for some raw food diet books. I want to read up on it and see if it's something that I could incorporate for my family, not just me. Not sure we could go totally raw, but am interested in trying out some recipes.

Wendy-Nice score on the UGI ball!:p Oh, way to go getting your w/o in even it was late. Now I've had 2 days off and am having trouble getting started this morning. I'm going to check out the Haters BR w/o.

Jacque-It sounds like you had a great weekend! Your mish mosh sounds awesome.

Lori-In your free time you wanna create a rotation for me???? I need to focus on weight loss, legs/abs all while keeping up my UB too. I doubt you will have any trouble losing the baby weight!

Laura-Glad you are starting to feel better!

Today's work out was S90 Cardio Challenge. Kept it simple today. ;)

Diana:: Wow what a huge upset in your weekend. Not that you weren't more then willing to care for MIL but that's a lot to take on at the last minute! It would make me cranky! :mad: Sorry you had to miss celebrating your anniversary! 23 years? That's awesome! Congrats!:D BR Haters was a pretty intense 10 min challenge!

Jacque:: 3d is the new thing! What are you waiting for?? We've seen several movies in 3d format over the last couple years. Some are impressive, some not so much. I love Lion King no matter what-the 3d part was not impressive though. Sounds like you had a good saturday with DH. Love doing that kind of stuff. Mish moshing keeps boredom at bay for me. I can only handle work outs straight up for so long....
 
Hi Ladies,

I ended up doing Original Bootcamp, Cardio/Legs/Abs only. I need to focus on my lower body and abs. Tomorrow should either be Shaun T. or Tony, can't decide what to pick the rotation back up with.

Wendy-I previewed the Haters w/o this morning. Looked pretty tough. How was S90 cardio? I haven't done that one yet. I think I've only done legs and core from those discs. I'm jealous of your UGI ball on the way. You'll have to let me know what you think of it.

Today was P90X CST. For some reason the disc wouldn't play in my dvd player so I used my laptop instead. I'm not sure why it wouldn't play since I'm still using the same dvd player and I've done this workout before.

I wanted to do S90 Legs this morning but last night some crazy severe DOMS started in my back last night after I got home from work. It lasted all night. I couldn't roll over without waking up coz it hurt! I figured hefting heavy weights wouldn't help it so I nixxed that idea....

Luckily for me though, the Hands Free BR which I hadn't done yet is lower body focused so that's what I did instead. Great work out! Real Burner and no weights used!!!!:D

Diana:: Good job with that BC premix! I considered doing the leg/cardio premix myself the other day. I like S90 Cardio Challenge. It's 30 mins long and a mix of cardio drills done both with and without weights. It's kinda like BH's work out but I like this one. Never cared for BH's for whatever reason.

UGH .. hey ladies ..

WELL .. DH found out he got off shutdown/long hours SUN .. so I called took vaca MON and we took quick trip to Biloxi :eek: SUN afternoon .. WOOT WOOT .. had a blast .. BLAST!!! I WON!! DH lost but then won some back!! FUN FUN FUN .. stayed out till 4 in mrng :confused: got up ystdy and started again~WE HAD A BLAST!!! That being said .. FRI i ran 6 miles - SAT NO w/o - game day AND WE LOST :(:(:( oh well .. SUN ran 5 miles before we left .. MON no w/o and BAAAAD eats ... :eek: but fun :pToday is back to reality - tonight gonna be a mish mosh class

Jacque - we didnt win .. our first loss in 19 games I think .. :( what was hard to take we were 21 to 7 at the first quarter .. we were whooping butt .. but then tables turned and they got their act together and we fell apart .. TUFF and SAD game!!!

Wendy - gotta check out the new w/o on BR .. hands free hmmmmmm .. and lower body focus .. sounds fun and soemthing I would like!

Good Morning Ladies,

Shaun T. kicked my butt with Max Interval Plyo this morning. After I dropped DS off at school I did 2 segments from Hot Body Bootcamp dvd with Amy Bento. I did Ab Assault and lower body, the name escapes me. I guess there okay if you only have 10 mins, but I have plenty more ab/lower body w/o's I'd prefer. I'm trying to go through some of my rarely used DVD's and try them out and sell/give them away if I don't want them.

Although I'm holding steady with my weight, I feel like my weight is shifting to places I don't normally carry my weight. I'm a pear shape with pretty flat abs...(not necessarily flat, but no muffin top) but now I feel like I'm getting this jelly belly thing going on...can't have that.

Laura-It sounds like you had a wonderful long weekend. Wow, I didn't know you had started running again-6 miles is awesome. Now that the weather is cooling down a bit, I'd like to run once or twice per week. Our anniversary will be celebrated at a later date.

Wendy-I just previewed the No Hands workout....looks tough. When Zuzana is stopping to take breaks its definitely going to be hard to keep up with. Please let me know what you think of the Ugi ball when you get it. What kind of mish mosh did you do today? btw, have you heard from our African Cheetah...Laura??? I'm hoping they made it back to Africa and their house was rebuilt.

Lori-Glad you have a plan to finish up your PT training. We have to pay up front for our personal training sessions. You might want to consider that so your not working for free. I can look up what the cost is in my neck of the woods. I'm sure with your DH owning his business he can help you get all the details worked out.
 
Good Morning.

Today's work out was 100 reps of jump rope for a warm up, 3 tabata drills from the Breathless Body dvd and then 400 more reps of jump rope to finish it off. Short but kick azz! :D

My back is better today TG. Have some DOMS in my legs but nothing too intense. I can handle it! :cool:

Diana:: I haven't heard from African Cheetah Laura but did see a pic on FB of her and her family waiting at the airport to fly home a while back...Yes, Hands Free was a goodie! I really liked it! Hoping to tackle her new Wicked things w/o tmrw. Looks like a beast! :eek:

Laura:: Glad you had fun at the casinos! I'm heading there next weekend for some girls fun! Five of us are going for the weekend. Can't wait!:D

Morning Ladies ..

I am in a BLAH mood - :( - IDK why - my upcoming milestone BDAY perhaps :( 45 - EEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK :( :( although I will say I feel stronger at 45 than I did at 30 :D more wrinkles - weight shifted some - gravity is cruel - but stronger none the less!! :p Speaking of strong - I taught a kickarse class last night - mishmosh at its finest - get this did circuits of: cardio step//plyo w/LB focus//burpees//repeat plyo w/LB focus/ repeat burpess add advanced move // and LB exercise - about 5 rounds - the burpess I would do all different - ranging from using step - to adding knee in - to adding side burpees - side burpees w/knee in - burpees w/pushups and knee ins .. etc .. AWESOME if I do say so myself :) - I was POURING sweat!!!! Tonight is another mish mosh focusing on body shaping!

DI - I just started running on FRI :p but felt strong - :p are ya'll gonna do anything special for your anniversary???

Wendy - the hands free w/o looked awesome - she is awesome!!! We had a blast at the casinos - I KNOW you will - GIRLS TRIP - woot woot!!!

Good morning ladies !

Been uber busy . . . Mon was Step Blast, Tues could not wake up ! ! ! Tues was Push Pull and then the eve was Sharks autograph/scrimmage night. Wed AM was so tired and then class last night so no w/o. This AM a bit tired so did Step from SJP and will do the JP when I get home tonight since DH has hockey. That will be the entire Body Blast set in a matter of 8 days. Feeling good but not much leaner.

Work is very crazy - am hoping to take a break and BB for personals later today.

Oh yea . . . on the way home last night one of my co-workers was in an accident - she is OK but it sure made me think about how yucky commuting is ! :( Scary to say the least.

OK .. I am a bit better today .. last night class was kicked up a notch and worked out some stress!!! :eek: I did another mish mosh .. this time .. (4)segments of: Jacks(60) - KB swings - light plyo cardio - plank/core/UB work - light plyo cardio - Trple set LB exercise! :eek: ended last 15 minutes of nonstop jack/light plyo cardio combo {{ insert very evil grin }}:D:D:D yup the sweatfest made me feel better!!! :p

Jacque - scary about your friend - please be carefull - I have only been to CA twice - but the traffic scared the crap out of me :confused:

So today the plan is to TRY to catch my desk up - I am sossosososossoooo far behind in my work!!!! Tonight is full out PLYO class ... OK .. will BBL to see what everyone is up to! ;)

Today's work out was a jump rope warm up, Wicked Things BR, TLC KCM Express Cardio Premix + a few mins of my own ab work.

Laura:: No worries about that 45th B'day! Age is just a number. You have NOTHING to worry about!!!! My 40th is coming up fast but I won't let it bother me! We could both run circles around 20 somethings you know!!!:cool::)

Jacque:: And so the madness continues for you huh? Sorry. :( Hope you can catch a break soon! Good job bangin' out the BB series!!! What's next? :D

Morning Ladies,

I'm having a hard time getting motivated to go workout. I took yesterday off, just didn't feel like w/o and didn't even go to bootcamp last night. I think I just needed some time to catch up on stuff at that house since we were gone last weekend.

I wrote down the BR hands free and wicked things w/o so I can do one of those this morning...just need to get down stairs.

Wendy-I may be doing the BR Wicked Things w/o this morning too. Thinking it might be time to change my rotation since this one is not motivating me at all. I re-injured my shoulder last weekend and it's really bothering me.

Laura-all this time I thought we were the same age, ends up I'm a year older than you so quit your fussing! You are in great shape and look amaziang! You class sounds awesome.

Jacque-you've jumped right back into exercise, way to go! Do you plan on selecting another series next? Scary about your coworker. The traffic is CA is unbelievable.

Lori-How are you and what are you up to?

I used two 15# kettlebells for the squats in part one and a 20 and 30# bell for part 2. I alternated use of the 2 bell weights for each exercise. Good stuff. Short w/o today but I sure don't feel like a slacker! I was workin' it! :cool:

Diana:: You needed a rest day. No worries. I should have rested today but I'm pushing my rest day off to Monday. It's just a better day for me so I will push through and work out until then. Enjoy whatever BR you decide on today. Yeah, change up from the X if you are not into. Not worth it....
 
TGIF .. and .. my birthday weekend ..

EEEEOOOUUUCCCCH - YIKES - my LB is SCREAMING at me : DOMS: hammies, BUTT, quads and core :eek: :confused: so what I didnt FRY WED night I finished off last nigth .. full out plyo w/plank crawls and walks in between sets :eek: {{insert evil grin AND laugh }} but eeeooooouuuccchhh!! which translates to a TOTAL rest day today!!!! :)

Di - I had a dream all of us were together at Cathe's studio and ya'll wanted me to lead a class - had a packed house (like a road trip crowd) and it was awesome - taught my plyo class like we did last night - we all rocked it but others were dropping like flies :p :p we all finished covered in sweat high fiving each other while others were laying on the floor .. LOLOLOLOL ... I woke up giggling!!!! :p (guess my body was still working out and DOMs-ing in my sleep)

Wendy - gotta go check out that BR workout .. WOW you are rocking some heavy KB weight!!! WTG girlie!!!!

Good Morning.

I've decided to follow Zuzanna's BR w/o schedule. Our rest days will be different but I am going to do the w/o's she posts that she is doing starting with today's...the 60 get up exercise challenge. I will also add some cardio to it. Considering BR's interval cardio but that could change at any time!:p

Tmrw is Zuzanna's rest day so I will do a kettlebell work out.

Monday is my rest day so I will do her Monday work out on Tuesday and follow along from there with add ons of my own as I see fit.

Anyone want to do it with me? :cool:

Laura:: Love that dream you had!!!;) Enjoy the lower body DOMS! I'm right there with for DAYS now!:D

My work out is done!

I did the get up challenge and followed it up with about 20 mins of cardio from Circuit Burn by KCM. Good stuff!

I used a kettlebell in place of a sandbag for the get ups since I first saw the get up done in kb work outs. Initially I was holding the bell in the clean position but then remembered that it's traditionally done with the arm extended straight up from your shoulder when you are lying down and it goes overhead as you stand. Tough little work out. I used a 15# KB for most of it but dropped to a 10#'er for about 10 of the reps. I also had to alternate sides every 10 reps. My arm holding the bell couldn't handle 30 reps on one side non stop. OUCH!

Hey ladies...

I got up started laundry..and stuff as dh sleeps..then went for a run..about 6 miles..and it gotHOt..I felt strong...but the heat did make a difference..was gonna try to come back and start sts..but I am spent...had to eat smpthn...now dh is up..so I am about to start cleanmax on the house..it needs it..

Toots is in heat...Buster hasn't lost his mind yet....but it is coming...he is showing he age..poor baby..his breathingisnt right...hope this heat cycle don't give him a heart attack...
