Today's work out was PS Triceps, BR July 27th Death to Fat Work Out and 5 mins of jump rope cause it's all the time I had to spare...Good stuff!!! :D

And 2 of the 4 pounds of bloat from saturday's party is already gone! WOOT WOOT!
 
Morning Ladies,

It's back to work for me today, although I don't really feel rested from taking last week off. Today is Plyo Legs and bootcamp tonight! I did 85# for chest press and rows yesterday and am definitely feeling it. I think I could have gone a tad heavier for chest, but no way for back. I took my measurements for the start of the 12wk challenge. I'm down about a half an inch in most places from the end of May when I started STS. I take measurements again in 2 weeks when I finish up STS.

Wendy-OMG, Death to Fat sounds scary. I'll have to check that one out later today. I need to drink tons of water today to eliminate my weekend bloat as well!

LauraR-did you make it home from the RT? How was the RT? Can't wait to here all about it.

LauraR-how was your weekend and what are you up to today?

OMG I failed to mention earlier...my obliques are on FIYAH! I feel like I could crack in half today! :eek:

Diana:: High fives on losing inches with STS!!! Now you'll lose MORE with the challenge you are going to do! :D 85# for bb chest press? WOW. I think I maxed out at mid to upper 60's (or MAYBE low 70's) and for back it was mid to upper 70's IIRC. Death to fat isn't nearly as scarey as some of her other work others. I really liked it but it wasn't ridiculously hard or anything. A good solid work out though! ;)
 
MONDAY .. and the FIRST of month .. aaggggghhh!!

WOW .. we are busy today!!!! First of month .. short handed .. busy .. but NO PIA .. :D .. I am still smiling!!! DH was on nights this weekend - spent a much needed quiet weekend at the house - although we went shopping yesterday (and out to eat at Olive Garden :eek: OMG it was wonderful and SOOOO FATTENING) - SAT managed STS plyo legs AND Asylum relief :D didnt have time for a workout ystdy - planning on teaching all four nights this week!!

Wendy .. how long are your BR workouts - on average ... just curious if you are doing them as she does .. max being about 20 min or so ... or if you are adding on??? talked to the crossfit trainer here - he says his class are NO LONGER THAN 17 MINUTES :eek: WWHHHAATTT???? I cant imagine!!!!

Di - so the DGB's have gone home?? I nkow you enjoyed your time .. but Iknow you have got to be tired too.. congrats on the inches lost!!!

LauraR - know you had a blast at the RT!!!! do report!!!!!

OK .. so tonight's class is mish mosh of circuits, plyo step and some BR stuff thrown in for fun!!! tmrw mrng planning on STS chest and back ... ok .. taken forever to write this .. really busy .. have a great one!! will try to BBL to check in w/you girlies!!!
 
LauraR:: I do the Body Rock work outs as is, whatever length they are and then usually will add on my own thing afterwards if I have the time and the energy. Right now I am adding on one upper bp per day ala Pure Strength plus extra cardio and/or some ab work if there is time. I do not mess with the set up of the BR's though. I do them exactly as she has them written. Hope that helps. :)
 
Hi Ladies,

I have to be to work early tomorrow so I'm checking in now.;) Tomorrow will be a cardio day and I'm leaning towards Intensity...as much as I can get through. If I'm really short on time then I'll do one of HIIT's instead.

Tonight was the first night of August bootcamp. Our trainer will be on vacation for the next 10 days so we will have a sub for the next week. Football practice is starting so we are now at a nearby park. We did suicides in the parking lot, walking lunges....forward and backward, run ups/downs on the curb, burpees, pullups on the park benches, squats on the benches, (bbt's-barely butt touches:p). It was a good class, but not killer like last Thursday.

Laura-Oh yeah, some of the BR w/o's are super intense. I've seen them anywhere from 10-40 mins, they vary each day. Did PIA move to another department? I haven't tried Asylum Relief yet. I'm starting a p90x/Insanity hybrid rotation when I finish up STS. I'm actually looking for to Tony and Shaun.

Wendy-do you preview the BR workouts first? I'm not familiar with all their moves so I pretty much have to.

Lori-I saw on FB you got to go see Bono! How was it...where was it???
 
Good Morning.

Didn't sleep well last night for the 2nd night in a row. Been a while since I've had to deal with this. I don't like it so I hope it passes quickly!

Today's work out is going to slay me. I have BR from 7/29 on tap which is called "300 Reps of Brutality" but then I ALSO have leg day afterwards! :eek: I am not using PS for it though. Too long and over kill I'm thinkin' so I'll do a Tonique Premier Segment or some BBL I think. Either way, I am pretty sure I won't be able to move when I am done and will need a wheel chair by midnight! :eek::p

Diana:: Yes, I always preview the moves from BR before doing them. Even the ones I *think* I know-just incase! ;) I have screwed up a few new moves even after watching them and writing brief descriptions of how to do them. :p

Morning ladies - did awesome class last night - it was PACKED too - circuits of: step, plyo, weights, plyo step .. then ended w/60 reps of full body roll up abs alnt side/frnt/side :eek: DOMS: CORE and legs!!! :D Got up this morning did STSS meso3 week 3 - chest and back - upped weights again .. already feeling the chest - and about the second to last set I DROPPED MY 25# dumbbell ON MY PINKY FINGER :confused: :eek: :mad: EEEEEOOOOOOOOOUUUUUCCCCHHHHHHH!! I hope i dont loose my nail .. thought it was broken .. but I can move it .. but it has a heartbeat in it and it is throbbing!! _{{{ insert crying fit }}}

Wendy - I looked at the brutal workout ystdy - looked good!!!! yes your butt and legs shoudl be fried!!!

Di - glad you are enjoying BC - wish I had a sub for my classes when I am out .. but I dont :( .. PIA is in another department now {{happy dance - untill she audits me - that is right - she is AUDITOR now :confused: }}}

Lori - how was Bono? always wanted to go to one of his concerts!!

Laura:: OMG I've clocked my fingers on db's, banged my nail into them, and gotten them squished between 2 dbs as well. I've also banged db's into my legs or knees. IT ALL HURTS LIKE HELL!!!!!!!!!!:eek: Hope your pinky is okay!!!!!!!!!!! The brutality work out was pretty brutal, I must say! ;)

I woke up with serious leg DOMs this morning. I ended up doing 4ds Kickbox cardio only and taking ibuprofen!:p

I'm shopping this afternoon as our team is purchasing school supplies for the less privileged. We try to do a few of these types volunteering activities throughout the year.

Laura-ooohhh, ooowwieee...I feel your pain! Hope it feels better soon.

Good Morning Ladies,

Today is back to STS, Shoulders/Bi's/Tri's. My legs aren't so sore today thank goodness.

Yesterday I had a chair massage and she really worked on my shoulder. Hopefully between having a weekly massage, doing my physical therapy and not picking up the girls, my shoulder will be back on the mend soon.

Good news, I have another interview next Monday. It will be with the same folks I had the phone interview with. I'm not holding my breath as I haven't interviewed in years and I'm very nervous. It will be good practice for me regardless. I'm kind of looking forward to getting a new job now.

What's everyone else up to today?

Good Morning.

Rest Day for me today. I'm not sore from y'day's work out and I am shocked! :eek:

Tmrw I start the 2nd week of one body part per day in combo with BR. Going to switch over to GS for a week and see how that works out. Wish me luck! ;)

Got on the scale this morning and I am an unofficially at my goal weight now! :D Let's see what happens on Friday though!

Diana:: Good luck on the 2nd interview! That's great news! I'm sure you'll do fine.

Well I was only able to finish 2/3 of the workout this morning due to time. I was able to go really heavy (for me anyway). Not sure why I was so strong this morning. Tonight I will do the last grouping of exercises. I know splitting the workout like this isn't ideal, but its just how it worked out today.

Wendy-Woo Hoo on being at your goal wt! Congrats. I'm still up 3# from last friday's weigh in. I think my Friday weigh ins are low because I do two cardio w/o's on Thursday's, my bootcamp night.

Where is everyone today?

THIRD of month .. and insane at asylum here .. ugh!! last night did mish mosh class - jack series, KB swings, plank work, high reps UB and LB - ALL compound moves ...most all focused on core work!! UGH .. DOMS: CHEST (sts) CORE (me) back (me and sts) Hammies and inner thigh (me) -I got up and did PLYO legs meso 3 week 3 - that is tuff w/o for me in a.m. wee hours .. ugh .. I have been STARVING all day ... :mad: .. feel drained and beat up - the busy day isnt helping either!!!

Di - hoping the shoulder therapy works - and hoping the interview goes (went) well!!!

Wendy - WTG on the weight loss goal - I will never get there - ugh - but will keep on keeping on!!

OK .. too busy to chat - gotta jet - only one hour to go - tonight is gonna be 1/2 cardio and 1/2 yoga! :D my body is SCREAMING for some relief and yoga!!!! have a great one!;)
 
GS Back + BR Aug 3rd Ball of Fury for me today....Kicked the crap out of me. I'm exhausted. Last night makes 4 nights of insufficient sleep now...this needs to stop!:(
 
THURS - ugh I am draggin!

Hey ladies -

last night - I taught 40 min nonstop cardio (drill style) and 20 min power yoga an power abs - felt great - was a sweatfest! Got home - ate - watched my shows - then RIGHT BEFORE I went to bed got a ffffffn migraine :mad::mad::( it came on fast and hard - and my head was poiunding .. couldnt find my meds - found one bottle - God knows how old it was - ONE PILL in it - but I took it - I fully expected it not to work - and fully expected not to make it in today - but finally eased up I got some sleep and this morning - I am weak - ILL - and still have a slight headache - but NOT migraine level - called my script in to get some more - if it gets worse during course of the day I am gonig home - needless to say no workout to report this morning - Tonight is to be full out PLYO IF the head allows it!

I liked doing the drill style cardio - you sweat a ton and dont feel exhausted aftewards (like u do after plyo class) - it was a good class - one of my regulars said "well - WHATEVER that was - it was KILLER" .. LOL

I am at my desk playing catch up today - ugh

Wendy - no sleep ?? feel your pain .. my sleeping has been MINIMAL of late - could be what built up the migraine for me :( I felt off all day ystdy but blamed STS mrng PLYO LEGS and it being the 3rd of mnth - guess it was the migraine all along.

DI - did you have BC last night? has the sub started yet???

Hi Ladies,

I did Imax 3 this morning and did great. I'm very nervous about this 3 hour interview next week. This nervousness is wreaking havoc on my stomach, but I must have plenty of nervous energy. I lifted really heavy yesterday and felt strong all through Imax 3 this morning.

I just got home from getting Jerod registered for school. Oh my, he has full and tough schedule for his sophomore year. DH and I told him it's better to have full schedules now so you can relax a bit in your Sr. year.

Tonight is Bootcamp class and we will have a sub tonight and again on Monday. I never did finish the last grouping of exercises for SBT last night. Ended up taking DS to the library and to kohl's. Not sure how to make that up or if I will just let it go.

Laura-so sorry to hear about the migraine. I hope you feel better soon. Maybe you should stay home and rest.

Wendy-I checked out your link on FB and even though it's a short w/o...my oh my, that ugi ball lift and jump squat looks killer. She really does work your body from all angles in her w/o's. You should try some melatonin if you aren't sleeping. I only take one at night and only after a few days of not sleeping well. Your body needs the rest.
