Damage Control Week of May 30th

Hey .. we did S90- tris, shoulders and chest - UMMMMM tonight's plank torture is gonna be tougher now!! :confused: and yes it was a HOT workout!!! we should have left air on for tonights class ... I dread tonight - the air is so thick out it is NASTY .. you feel your skin moisten and hair fall the minute you walk out!!! UGH@@@@
 
Hey Ladies,

I'm getting lots of laundry done since I'm working from home today! I eating a healthy lunch, a green salad with salmon-yummy. So far so good on this clean eating challenge! It is only day 1....and only lunch time. My problem time is afternoon.

Laura-OMG, 100....that's way to hot for this girl! Your class last night sounds so good...you really to need to record it and share with the rest of us. Good luck with plank torture after S90 tri's, shoulder and Chest! We are supposed to be in the 90's, but it's been overcast most of the day so it's not too bad.

Wendy-I did click on that link and give my email addy etc. I haven't received any emails yet. I thought it would be auto-generated and sent immediately. I may see if my library has it or go buy it this weekend. Let's see how many diet books do I have...all Tosca Reno's, Atkins, Paleo, Eat for your blood type, Eat to Live (vegetarian focused). Do I really need another one?

Thought I would check in while I am waiting to make dinner. I wish DS would come inside so I could sit and close my eyes for 10 mins but his energy is endless.

Wendy** Nice job on getting that scale to move downwards. Always a nice feeling. Mine will slowly be going up now:eek: I'm thinking of doing STS but not really upping my weight much, if at all. I know when my friend got pregnant she struggled with her normal weight and there is a good reason for it....just not sure what it was:rolleyes: The Dr told her she should be fine after a couple of months but I don't think she ever got back into it.

Laura** I don't know how you workout in that heat without throwing up!:p I would wanna barf. My mother is a very strange character.....I will never figure her out.

Diana** Working from home def as its benefits! We don't need a/c here....later this summer it will get pretty warm upstairs. Your salad sounds yummy! When are girls coming this summer?

I have a dr. appt tomorrow afternoon to check out my shoulder pain. It is not getting any better. Lifting or pulling towards me (opening the refrigerator) is really painful.

Lori-sounds to me like you need a nap! Boys seem to be able to run around for days...I don't miss it! DS3 just drove us too his friends house. Is your DD learning to drive? I had a mojito last night and my weight was up this morning...booh. To be expected I guess.
 
Good Morning:)

I was hoping to wake up earlier so I could have my workout done before my 9:30 arrived but now I know that's impossible. I should have realized that last night b/c I wanna do cardio and legs...that's a 2 hour job. Its 7:30 now so I might manage to do something before she arrives.

DS came out into our bed again last night. That's two nights in a row:confused: So sleep wasn't the best!

Diana** DD won't learn to drive until she turns 16, which will be in March. My niece is 17 and as no desire to drive:confused: I don't get that at all. Let us know what the Dr says!!! Hope you get it figured out!

When I was in Ottawa there was a wrap I wanted at lulu...(SHOCKING I KNOW) but I didn't buy it b/c it would do me this fall when I was pregnant. I looked online last night at there was a similiar one marked down to $59 from $118....so I snatched it up. They had a lot of good sales yesterday! I also ordered two more bras for $29! Im gonna need the support later:eek:

KCM Split Sessions Lower Body work out for my endurance leg work + KCM TLC Athletic Conditioning for my cardio which also included some nice upper body conditioning and abs as well! Great combo! 60 minutes and worked everything! :D

Diana:: Keep us posted on that shoulder! So as per the WW thread you are doing well with the Mitch's Ladder challenge I see. Good for you! Have you made a decision on the Dukan Diet yet? I couldn't do it but I've said that already! :p

Lori:: I just worked legs and cardio in 60 mins girl! :p DS has NEVER slept in our bed. DH wouldn't allow it. Not even after a bad dream. One of us will take him back to his room and sit or lay with him for a few mins if need be but then it's back to your own room! He will lay down in our bed to watch tv on occassion and may even fall asleep for a bit while he's there but he's not allowed to be in our bed at bed time. It's everyone goes to their own quarters then! LOL You are a shopping fool! I think you knew what you were doing when you took up the training thing! ;) Wait until you are certified! Then you can start charging even MORE $$$! :D

Morning Ladies -

had a SWEAT FEST last night - wow - it was hot in class - but I did reg mish mosh - I had a return student this week (was a regular but had kids and has missed for 9 - 10 years) - she sent me the SWEETEST email this morning - first complaining of having a "falling onto the potty kinda day" :p ya been there for sure!!! But said she LOVED the class and has missed it - and that I havent changed a bit since she has been gone - my body hasnt changed in 20 years :eek: OMG .. I NEEDED THAT SO BAD - that just made my day!! :D:D:D:D:D

Lori - good deals ystdy - my cyber shopping spree sent me coupons for $20 off next purchase .. OH YA I DID - LOL I got me two more tops and a new bikini!! :eek: :D:D

Di - hoping for good news on the shoudler - it sounds like a tendon problem :confused: hoping for maybe just tendonitis tho!!! let us know what the doc says! i checked out the Duncan diet - that is the one that Kate Middleton followed before her wedding - GMA just did a story on it - wasnt a RAVE review either :confused: I am all for more protein - but ALL PROTIEN one day once a week :confused: ummmmmmm dont think I could do it w/o a fruit or a carb thrown in!!!

Wendy -I dont think I could do a diet that restricts whole food groups either!!! I dont know details of diet - but from the bit I have read sounds mostly HIGH protien and no/limited carbs!!!

OK .. I have a luncheon to go to today - have ordered a litely blackened grouper and salad :D ... no workout at lunch - but tonight is PLYO!!!!! woot woot!!!

This is all I need to read to know that I couldn't do this diet! No further details required! :p Wow how great that someone came back to class after all of that time! Just shows you how loyal your clients are! You are good at what you do and it shows! Good for you!!!:) The body fat compliment didn't hurt either I am sure! ;)
 
Hi Girls,

Workout today was GS legs and a hour of cardio. I started off running but I was having some cramping so I thought I'd stop and do legs first. I hate working legs first. Anyway...by the time I started running again it was gone. I just ran for a while and then walked some hills. Didn't do any crazy sprints or anything that left me gasping for air.

Wendy** DS is usually pretty good to sleep with but I know at one point in time his feet were in DH's face and his head was pushed against me. I haven't been to tired today though.

Laura** More stuff!:eek: LOL As if I have to right to act surprised! Glad you received that email from your student. I can't believe you have been teaching that long. Im with Wendy on that diet....there is no way I could low carb anything!

I'm feeling weird today....kinda emotional like. I guess its the hormones but I feel as if I need to have a good cry or something. I know everything is a long ways away but I almost feel disorganized or something. I feel like I need a plan of attack! And maybe its just something I am going through now and tomorrow I will be fine again! Ugh!

OK .. it is freaking steaming outside - yesterday was 102 - today's high was to be 98 .. but I just came out from my car and my car temp said 108 :eek::eek: WTH??????? which i am sure it is around 100 and the sun made the car temp go up .. but CRAP!!!!! it is JUST NOW the first of JUNE - hate to see what the rest of the summer is gonna be like! the LIGHT wind blowing feels like a blowdryer in your face - it is that hot!! ugh

Luncheon was great - had a low fat meal - BUT my BAD co-workers ordered desserts (bread pudding - strawberry cheesecake ) and my FAVORITE ALL TIME - KEY LIME PIE - :mad: - *sigh* resistance was futile!! I ate ONLY 2 BITES - and OMG .. it was FIIIIIINE - home made real KEY LIME pie .. YMMMMY .. I could have devoured the entire thing - but I did restrain somewhat!!!

OK .. gonna have to pay for lunch and my dessert tonight!! Watch out plyo class!!! :eek::p

Lori - prbly hormones - hang in girl - I could be super enabler and say go LULU shopping that will help the feelings - (please dont tell your DH I am enabling an already obsessed LULU addict) you will be fine - hang in!!!

Hi ladies,

I didn't have time to post this morning. I did Imax 3, one of my fav's. OMG, I hate my friggin' HR monitor. I thought I had it working, but it reads "00" half the time, sometimes its working, other times it reads "210"...so sick of it not being accurate. Not sure if I should send it in or just get a new one. It's was a pretty nice one when I bought it, a polar F11.

Although I haven't told my coworker, there just isn't anyway I can hang with such a restrictive diet (Dukan)...and all that protein. I don't like to cook that much...and meat is expensive. I need my fruits/veggies/fiber. This is day 2 of Michi's ladder and it is very doable. It is also day 2 of NO CHOCOLATE...what Wendy's been telling me to give up for months. Just hoping it doesn't lead to a binge. I also started using fitday again (yesterday) so I can track my macros.

The AC is running now, but the guy will fix it correctly next Wednesday. Not sure what he did to get it running...I think he said the motor was covered with dust/lint....duh...it's in the laundry room.

I had my shoulder looked at today, the diagnosis is Bicipital Tendonitis. It's basically tendonitis in the tendon that connect the bicep to the front of the shoulder. I chose the physical therapy route to start. My other option was a cortisone shot.

Laura-How nice to get a compliment from someone who hasn't been to class in 9-10yrs! You look amazing! Your already in the 100's, UGH...and it's still early in the summer. I can only imagine it getting hotter for you. Hope you have a kick ass plyo class!!

Lori-I always prefer lifting before cardio. Nice w/o, love GS legs. It's normal to be emotional. Once you are farther along, have a due date etc. you can plan the nursery, when to finish your course etc. My DH was like Wendy's, the kids never slept with us...back to their own bed...much to my chagrin at times.

Wendy-Day 2, no chocolate. Can you believe I'm drinking green tea instead of eating chocolate at night....let me tell there is no comparison...but I will do this for 2 weeks.

Me again...really. Where's our early birds Lori and Wendy?

Heading down for Back and Triceps, can't remember the disc...maybe 5. This would complete M1W2 since I did legs already.

Doing good on the diet front, down a total of 2.8#. Still within my range I flunctuate within. If this plan really work, better said...If I work the plan hopefully be mid to end of next week I will get below the plateau wt. Not holding my breath, but will stick to the plan.

TGIF!!!:)
 
Good Morning.

No work out for me. It was in the plan but I woke up to an attack of the osteoarthritis I have in my neck. I am in unbelievable pain right now. :eek: I guess I should be thankful that it hasn't bothered me in a few years but by the same token, because of that, the meds I have to relieve it are VERY expired! :( When I wasn't having problems I didn't get the prescription refilled b/c why bother? Well I took the expired med anyway. Hoping..no praying it will help!:(:(:( The drive to work was NOT fun at all!!!

Hey Gals,

I had a early morning training and then off to Mcds with DS to meet a friend so he could play. As soon as I got home I started my workout. I did 50 mins on the TM, most of it was running but I did walk some hills near the end of it, then I did MM S,B,T and HR S as well.

Laura** I don't know how you guys cope with that heat. We never see that here and when it was nice and hot in the DR we had a pool near by. Even when it warms up here its kind of hard to get use to b/c we aren't near water. Thanks for the idea of looking for more lulu to cheer me up! LOL

Diana** Sorry I wasn't around to talk to you today;) I would never in a million years be able to follow something that was strict. I liked ww's b/c if you wanted to waste your points on a treat then you could. I guess I will have a different ww's program to follow after the baby!

Wendy** How can you even work like that?? Will you go to the Dr or pray it eases up on its own?

I will probably bbl. Not sure what the plan is here this weekend.

Lori:: TBH, I'm AT work but I'm NOT working. Can't concentrate. Fidgety because it hurts. Can't get comfortable. Laying down for a bit would be nice but that's an impossibility here. :( Ultimately I need to get to the doc so I can get my script renewed. Probably won't make it in time to help THIS flare up but I guess I need to have it on hand for the future, just incase. Without meds, it should slow go away on it's own over the course of a few days so in other words I'll suffer through the weekend just in time for a full recovery come Monday morning!:mad: Have fun w/DS at McDonald's. My son loves those tubes they have! Nice work out! Nothing can slow you down!:D

Diana:: I seriously don't miss the chocolate now that I've kicked the habit. I still crave sweets but now that I'm on WW I stick to Skinny Cow and WW brand desserts. So easy to account for, minimal damage (I generally stick to desserts with 2 points per serving!) and super tastey too! I am not surprised that the green tea is no comparison for chocolate!It WOULD, however, be a great accompaniment to it! :p Hope this challenge helps you break through that plateu finally!

Laura:: Ew the heat! You poor thing! :eek: We are having beautiful 80 degree weather here right now! Not sure how long it will last though!:rolleyes:

Getting in regular workouts has been hard, but I'm doing what I can. Even with sporadic workouts and a crazy schedule (everyone who invites us over wants to feed us peanut butter pie and chocolate cake!) I have maintained my weight. Hurray, hurray. What a big success!

Also, DH and I biked across OK last week with his boss. Do you think that gives me a leg up on try-outs for Cycle Max. ;):p:D
 
Lori-sounds like you had a nice morning! Your workouts are amazing, would love to have that much time to w/o! A little jealous here. You just keep up your workouts and you won't have to worry about WW.

Wendy-sorry you are in so much pain. Definitely call the dr. and see if they can get a scrip for you today. I really wanted chocolate last night and was still a bit hungry, but I opted for 3 boiled egg whites and green tea...go me!

LauraR-so nice to hear from you. You definitely have a leg up on cyclemax!;) Great job maintaining your weight with all the desserts your being offered. Where are you headed off to next?

Wendy - POOR BABY - omg you sound like you are in agony!! Call the DR asap! My mother has osteo-arthritis and she suffers - mainly her hands, knees and hips .. sending healing vibes your way and quick releif meds vibes I hope!!!

Di - yes this heat is oppressive - 101 again today - and we have BROKEN the HIGH TEMP record EVERY day for the past 8 days now :confused: {insert dehydrated crying fit in here) no relief in sight either to be 100 again tmrw .. but at least I will be by the pool!!! :cool:

LauraR - HELLLLOOO nice to hear from you!! missed ya! YES cycling around OK gives u upper hand on cycle tryouts ... go for it girlie!!! LOL .. where are you now??

DH on nights - so will be 1/2 way quiet weekend - I am planning on cleaning house - exercising and lounging around the POOL :cool: - my trip is rounding the corner .. want to work on my SAVAGE TAN .. LOLOLOLOL .. the only way I can lounge by pool in this heat is lounge IN THE POOL .. LOL ...

OK .. gotta get .. less than an hour and I am outta here .. CABS CALLING MY NAME!!! :eek: :p :D
