Good Morning Ladies...well Lori anyway!;)

I've decided to do an STS rotation. I've done the first 3 discs of Meso 1 so far. I'll probably loosely follow the rotation or simply do my own cardio. When I get my Insanity discs back, I'll be using those for cardio too.

I ran for the first time in while yesterday, 3.5 miles. I had to talk myself into going for a short run. I really didn't want to...which is why it wasn't pretty. I felt pretty good at the 1 mile mark, but ended up walking a bit at 1.75 miles, finished up using the walk/run method. Oh well, I may head out again this morning, and hit disc 4!

I need to pick DS up at the airport this afternoon. Hopefully he'll text me back soon and let me know what time his flight arrives.

Lori-it sounds like you had a fun trip and made it home safely. Do you have any plans for today?

Wendy-how was Atlantic City? Hope you had a great time!

Laura-how was your weekend?

Hey from the road...
Sat workout..speed n agility and total body sts ...barely survived..then spwent afterrnoon n night hanging by the pool w the family cooking out...Sun went ti Biloxi...me n dh..awesome time..on way home now..almost there..had a blast.. I lost he won..then this mrng took last little money to high limits..won my money back...yesssssss

Diet was blown to hell and back....MAJOR DAMAGE CONTROL WILL HAVE TO GO INTO AFFECT TMRW..YIKES

Hope everyone had a greay long weekend....
 
Heeeey Ladies! I'm baaaaack! :D

Had a fantabulous weekend of food, drink, gambling, dancing, shopping and just general fun! I did NOT work out sat or sun but I DID w/o today after I got home. I didn't think I would have the energy but I had some so I went for it. ;) I did Imax Extreme and it was great! Just what the doctor ordered to drop-kick me back into reality!:p Now I get to go food shopping so that I know that I'm REALLY back home again! :rolleyes:

I'll come back later or tmrw and catch up on personals and such but for now I really should move my tushy!

Good Morning:)

I'm home safe and sound:) Made it home last night around 10'ish by the time I unpacked and got into bed it was midnight. I have a day full of appts but no training until later today.

So I went with the girls and picked up my race kit. Thought it was just as well I got my t-shirt I paid for. That was a little sad. I was surrounded by runners and I couldn't run. The girls didn't enjoy the run at all. My running partner had a injury and I would have been highly surprised if she didnt' hurt herself even more and that's exactly what happened. She wanted to finish with a better time so she would have been in a different category when registering for Boston but that didn't happen. She needed a 3:45 and she finished in 4:07. She took a lot of walking breaks and was in a lot of pain. She said that if she had seen us at some point she would have stopped. The other girl, for some reason, just hated it and its not the first one she's done. It was wet and muggy and she just wasn't feeling it I guess. Its a good thing I didn't do it b/c the temp wasn't idea for a pregnant lady!:confused: So I shopped instead.
Lets see....what did I buy....I went to lulu twice:eek: I know, no one is shocked. The first time I bought 2 pairs of capris that will be good for when my belly grows and a lose tank top. The 2nd trip I bought 2 more tank tops that were flowy and good for later. I bought 2 pairs of jeans b/c I had a hole in the crotch in the ones I was wearing that day:confused: Pair of Pumas for all of us. Tons of clothes for DS, some for DD, bought DH some treats. And I even bought some maternity clothes. I know its early but there is no where around here. I can go into the city but they don't have thyme anymore and the quality of Thyme is so much better.

I got two runs in. I did 10 on Sunday and 8 yesterday. I am looking forward to hitting the weights today. Im not even sure what I want to work...I feel like I need to work everything! DD has an eye appt at 8:30 but I think DH is taking her, DS has the behavioral specialist @ 10:30 and then speech @1 and I'm going to get my blood work done then as well. So I am going to get DH to take DD to her eye appt and I can start my workout.

Wendy** Sounds like you had a awesome weekend!

Laura** I hear ya on the damage control...as much as I can control it anyway. It will be nice to get back to a normal routine.

Diana** I had an awesome time. It was a great bunch of girls. Our faces hurt from laughing!

Quick Check In to say I did 4DS Bootcamp + K/B (minus w/u and arm drills at end) + abs from same disc. Good stuff.

Lori:: I shopped this weekend too! Love it! :D I bought shoes, a summer dress, a Michael Kors purse and matching wallet (purse/wallet are belated b'day present from DH even though he wasn't with me when I bought it. LOL) and candy for my son, my DH and myself! :p

Hi Girls,

Workout is done. My morning wasn't that crazy after all. I had DH take DD to her eye appt and around 10ish, the behavioral specialist called and said she wasn't feeling well. I am happy that my workout is done and out of the way though.

I did GS B,S,B, 3 miles on the TM and 25 mins on the bike.

Wendy** I am guessing what you bought don't add up to the amount I spent:eek: I was nearing the 2G mark. Oh well..ya only live once right? LOL I hate trying on clothes but love buying for others, esp DS b/c he has to wear whatever I buy!!!

Hi Ladies,

Not sure if you all saw my post, but I started STS Meso 1 and have completed the first 4 discs. Today is a cardio day, DWP is sounding good.

Our temps are going up this week, 68 yesterday, 80 today, and 90's for the rest of the week-yikes.

Jerod has football camp for the next 2 weeks. Thankfully it's in the morning from 8-11, it's going to be hot.

Laura-It sounds like you had a wonderful long weekend.

Wendy-wow, that's great that you banged out a tough workout when you got home!

Lori-lulu twice...why am I not surprised!:p I'm sure your family will be happy with all their new stuff from your trip! You managed to get your runs in even without running the race!

Lori:: I don't think I've EVER spent that much $$ in one shopping trip! Not even when I go Christmas shopping! :eek: I probably spent between $250 and $300 I think on everything. The pocketbook and wallet are my belated b'day gift from DH. That was most expensive thing I bought. Everything else was relatively inexpensive. Ofcourse I bought a $15 pair of shoes and then had to spend $40 to find something to match them so I could wear them to dinner that same night! LOL :p

Diana:: Good job jumping into STS. Are you doing to do Insanity with it like you talked about?

Well while you ladies power shopped - I CYBER POWER shopped last week - got some AWESOME deals - and got one set of stuff in FRI - the other is due in tmrw!! :D yes .. items to wear to Jamaica mon'!!! CUTE stuff and at a GREAT price!!! I did get my WearFit outfit in too - NOT LULU quality - so LORI .. no I wouldnt reccommend them to a LULU LOVER!! they run small- they are CUTE and flattering - but not as good support on the top - and the bottoms were cute .. but SMALL - they fit - but maybe need a size up ?? not sure tho b/c a larger size may gape>???? IDK .. will let you know how the hold up to my workouts!!! :confused:

Wendy - sounds like you had a blast and were not quite as BAD as I was - my eats were terrible!! but the fun factor was AWESOME!!!!

Lori - well sounds like you didnt miss an awesome race - in fact sounds kind of miserable - your poor buds!!! OK - think LuLU has ruined us BOTH from liking any other kind of sports wear!!!

Di - 68 - 90 degrees - wow - sounds like our weather - it is to hit 99 degrees tmrw :eek: :confused: YIKES - gonna be a scorcher!!

OK - so I am in major damage control mode here!!! gotta make up for some very bad food choices this past holiday :eek: :confused: :eek: OK - have a great one - we are busy - end of month - tmrw will be a B### LOL!!
 
Laura:: Oh trust me, I was bad! I just haven't publicized HOW bad! :p Actually though, I tried hard not to over-eat. I ate all the wrong stuff but didn't stuff myself w/the exception of brunch on Sunday. OTOH, I drank like a freakin' fish! Captain Morgan and diet cokes were goin' down smoooth every night before, during and after dinner! Probably had a half dozen of them each night! :eek: Okay-maybe a bit less Sunday night and a bit more Saturday night but I am sure it all evened out to A LOT in the end! :D:p
 
LOL Wendy - I think I did worse than you on CABS .. we didnt get in bed till 3 SUN night/morning :confused: I LOST COUNT :eek: :p

I did heavy legs in gym today at lunch - it was HOT as H### in the gym - NO AIR AGAIN .. :mad: .. ggggggggrrrrrr saw it is up for sale now .. so I gotta work on getting my personal stuff outta there!!!

OK .. gotta jet .. realized I hadnt posted my workouts .. LOL ... so tonight is circuit with focus on CARDIO .. will be a Hiit step/floor combo class :eek: - yes because I WAS bad .. my class gets punished :eek: :p hey but they reap the benefits too!! ;) c ya!
 
Hi Ladies,

I'm starting a two week eating challenge with a FB group...starts tomorrow. We are only to eat foods on Michi's Ladder Tiers 1 and 2. I"m going to give it my best shot.

I had a chair massage today and the lady really got into my sore shoulder. At the time I thought it helped, but now I need ibuprofen and ice. I'm definitely calling for an appt tomorrow. The massage lady was telling me there are ligaments that attach the clavicle to the shoulder and mabye I strained or tore one or more of these ligaments.

Lori-you are quite the shopper. The only time I spend that much money is at Christmas. Then the credit card company usually calls and wants to verify the activity-LOL. What did you decide about the car, are you getting something new? You have Jeep right...how do you like it? We've had several, most of the bare bones models have been good (for the boys). I'm still hoping to get a smaller SUV next year some time if we can swing it.

Laura-Maybe a new owner for the gym is a good thing. They may fix it up for yah!;) Sending positive new owner vibes! When I walked in the house tonight it smelled like something was burning. DH just said he thinks the blower burned out. Although our furnace is about 16yrs old, he's hopeful that we just need a new blower and not a whole new furnace. UGGGHHHH...and we are going to be in the 90's with NO AC. Love you are punishing your class for your overdoing it...:D

Wendy-I haven't added in Insanity yet, hopefully I will get them back on Friday and can start using them as soon as this weekend. I'm trying to convince myself to run again. I just don't seem to be motivated to run, not sure what the problem is. Tomorrow is either B&T or Legs, I'll decide when I get downstairs. I prefer to do legs in between the UB w/o's. Just my preference. It gives me leeway to throw in another leg w/o if desired.

Well, I can't believe its the first of June! This year is almost half over:eek:

I am up before anyone else this morning. I lay down with DS at 9:30 and fell asleep, DH woke me at 11 and I had my 2nd nap on my own bed. Woke up again at 1:13 and finally crawled into bed, so I had lots of sleep. I will probably regret getting up this early later today.

I had my blood work done yesterday and then a guy from our insurance came to the house last night and we had to have our blood work done again:confused: Its a good thing needles don't scare me.

I am thinking about going for a run outside before DH goes to work. Not sure how long I will go for. And I am debating doing legs or GS C&T. My bics are very sore from yesterday's work.

Wendy** I had to shop to cheer myself up:p One of the girls saved all her $ to go so she kept adding up her bills. She then tried helping me justify my shopping. She said that the kids clothes don't count cause they need clothes and that I would have needed mat clothes eventually....LOL. DH didn't even ask how much I spent.

Laura** While we were shopping I said to the girls "isn't in funny that we are getting coupons for every other store,except lulu" LOL Everytime we paid for our stuff we received a coupon for a certain date...but not lulu. I tell ya...whoever came up with lulu was brilliant! He doesn't need to discount it. There was a wrap I saw but figured I would wait until the fall to get it. It will do me for when my belly starts getting round:confused:

Diana** I *think* we may have made up our minds. For one thing, I think we have a buyer for the jeep. The payout on the jeep is over $21. Of course the car dealerships were going to rip us off a little so the leftover amount will have to go added to the loan. We took out two other cars yesterday and they were quit nice. I like the fact that DS can get in and out himself. In the meantime I do love the jeep but its almost $600/m to take me back and forth to work and its a pig on gas. We will probably save about 3-400/m not having it. Are you excited about starting this new plan???? Im excited for you! One of the girls we were with this weekend said that she had ordered the 6 week body makeover...no clue what it is. I told them that I was on the 35 week body makeover;)

Just a thought...what do you guys think of me doing STS over the next little while? I usually do a lot of weights in the run of a week and now I am trying to figure out a healthy way of staying active, without over doing it. My cardio (for now) will remain at 30-50 mins long. No more HIIT or 4DSBC. It will be runs, (that aren't as fast) bike, or low impact step workouts. I am really going to try and keep this weight gain under control


Alright...I am going to get my butt in gear. Its sunny here but I won't let that fool me...I have a feeling its still chilly!

Hi Girls,

Just finished my workout long enough to shower. I did GS C&T, 20 mins run,20 mins on the bike and then 20 mins of walking on the TM. I also called the Dr's office to confirm I'm pregnant b/c my mother won't rest until I'm throwing up. She calls EVERY morning and EVERY night to see if I'm sick and b/c I'm not, she says "maybe your not pregnant then":confused: Ugh!

Alright...not sure what the plan is here today. Its chilly out but I may take DS somewhere or I may poke him in the hot tub and watch from the window! LOL

This morning's work out was Interval Max 1-3-5-7-9 plus abs from KCM's NYC Body Sculpting. Good stuff. ;)

Scale is back down to the # from 2 Friday weigh in's ago which makes me happy to have recovered from the weekend and TTOM so quickly as well as hopeful to see a loss this week! Fingers crossed! :)

Lori:: As long as you do not intend to increase your weight loads in STS to a new high then I think you will be fine though I am not sure I would attempt M3 while preggo. Might stick with M1 and M2 and keep the weight loads at a maintenance level. I think that's the rule of thumb for ALL exercise while pregnant. Work to MAINTAIN the fitness level you were at when you got pregnant. Do NOT work to INCREASE it. :)

Diana:: Speaking of legs, I wanted to throw in 30 minutes of endurance leg work this morning since I didn't get to do it last week but ofcourse I didn't have time for that AND cardio so I opted out of it. :rolleyes: Gotta remember to start doing that again once M3 starts this weekend.

Laura:: I guess your class always knows when you've cheated on your eats/drink a little TOO much huh? :p Yeah, I wasn't up until 3am at all over the weekend. I made it til 2:30 saturday night but only b/c we went dancing that night at the club in the casino we were staying at. 70s and 80s music. Such fun to dance to!:D

Hi Ladies,

Just finished Disc 6, Legs. It was a goodie and now I remember why I love this series.

I tell yah, everything is falling apart at my house. DH turned on the AC last night and the blower burnt out. Well at least he's hoping it's just the blower and that we won't need a whole new furnace....even though the furnace is 17 or 18 yrs old. I have the house open for now, but will close it up in an hour so.

Wendy-Nice workout this morning. Have you looked a the Dukan Diet, the one Shereta is following? It is somewhat similar to Atkins, although Atkins allows you to have fats. It looks very restrictive to me. I always think I'm going to get an extra leg w/o in, but most often do not.

Lori-Do you have a Dr. appt to confirm your pregnancy? I was quesy with my kids, never really sick...well maybe a few times. ITA w/wendy regarding STS. Do what you can to maintain your fitness level, obviously only what you feel comfortable doing.

I need to get showered and get logged in to work! bbl

Hey girlies!

well last night class was awesome - I did circuites of: dance step cardio / triple sets UB / plyo step cardio / triple sets LB .. one of the girls said I KILLED her .. she knew I had been NAUGHTY over this long weekend :p :D DOMS a bit into bulb of quads above knee - and shoulders!

Lori - LOL I know LuLu maybe expensive it is SO WORTH it - I am trying out the Fitwear shorts tonight . soemthing tells me I will be tugging at them all night .. SIl may end up with them :confused: we will see!!! I think you could do STS - just keep weights lighter - not really go for strength improvements .. just maintenance!! LOL about your DM .. that is FUNNY!! she is not gonna be happy till you are puking your guts out .. LOL!!! :p

Di - BOOOOO on the burnout - well at least it is not the whole unit - but sounds like it is lasted a long time - we are to reach 100 today - gonna break records :confused:

Wendy - YAYAYAAYA on the damage control!!! WTG!!!! I wish I had of danced some this weekend that owuld have helped some .. :p LOVE 70 and 80's music .. THE BEST!

OK .. so SIL and I are meeting at lunch for S90 UB - will be sore again!! it is gonna be HOT workout tho :( - then tonight is mish mosh class!! OK it is FIRST of month gotta jet . have a great one!;)
 
Diana:: I looked up that diet that Shereta is doing when she first mentioned it but it wanted my email addy or something in order to get more info on it so I clicked off of it. I can't follow plans like that anyhow. I am not one for being so restricted unless I am doing it to myself. I can't handle a diet telling me I CAN'T have this or I am NOT ALLOWED to have that. Just doesn't work for me. Sorry about your AC. Here's to hoping it's a simple and inexpensive fix!!!:eek: I am able to get the extra leg work outs in during STS by using 1/2 of one of my cardio days for 30 mins of leg work and the rest for cardio. If not for that, I wouldn't be able to fit it in either and if my work out schedule gets crunched for time somehow then the extra leg w/o is the first thing to go. It can be very tough to fit it all in. That's for sure! :confused:

Laura:: Enjoy S90 today with SIL! Exactly which work out is it this time? 100 degreees? Ew! We are in the 80's w/humidity though so that's not much better. :rolleyes:
