Damage Control...Week of March 6th

Good Morning Ladies:)

I didn't get here while I was at work. I had a few things to do and then my friends would call me to talk b/c it was the only place they could catch me:confused: That doesn't sound that great:p I also didn't get any studying done...didn't open the book once!:mad: But I do have all of this week to dig my heels in again. Once I am past this chapter the more interesting stuff starts...thank goodness!

So yesterday's run was the longest run I had done in a long rime. I ran for 61 mins and covered 7.3 miles. I also did HR UB and abs. I have to say, when I flex I love my arm muscles. I can really see the fine detail....more so then before. We still haven't booked our trip but I went ahead and ordered 4 new bikinis:) My eating hasn't been that great over the past couple of weeks so I will get that back on track starting today. I am usually pretty good anyway but I have been picking a little to much lately.

I will bbl! I am going to get my workout started.

Hey Girls

I had a pretty good workout this morning. Lets see how my legs feel tomorrow. I did 25 min (3 miles) on the TM, 15 mins on the bike, bics and shoulders (with my sil) HR LB and PH LB...and PH and LIC abs. I know...a little all over the place. I remember when I would refrain from doing lunges...HATED THEM. Now I look for dvds that have them! Its weird how you go from hating something to loving it. I guess you love what it does for your body.


Wendy** Sounds like you enjoyed the hockey game!! I don't care if the stadium is warm...which they all are now. Around here though, there are still some stadiums that are pretty cold. But you also not dealing with NHL either, just common folk having a game!

I will probably bbl. The guys have left me alone. They were telling blonde jokes and just jokes in general for about 30 mins. They were pretty funny though.

Hi Ladies,

No workout to report for yesterday. I was just busy doing tons of laundry and running errands. I have more errands to take care of today, but they will wait until after my w/o.

This morning I plan doing Muscle Max and Imax 3 or another cardio of choice. We are having a 10 week activity challenge at work. I signed up and it should be fun. The goal is to get folks to be active for 1hr, 5 days per week. I've got that covered already!

Lori-Nice w/o this morning. I love lunges and squats-I just like working lower body in general. I'm still holding at 8lbs lost. I weigh at home and it's 3-5lbs less than what I weigh at my WW meeting. I weigh naked at home and obviously I'm dressed for the meeting.

Wendy-glad you enjoyed the Hockey game. They are a lot of fun IMO. Actually, all professional sports are better in person. I love the atmosphere, the sounds and smells....and people watching of course!

Hi Ladies,

Back to report my w/o. I did MM as planned but opted to do CCC instead Imax 3. I'd like to do some of Cathe's newer w/o's that I didn't do very many times before starting STS. CCC kinda sneaks up on you. You don't think it's going to be too bad...but the second round of each cardio is tough...but doable.

Goodness, my hair has been falling out a lot for about the last year. Not sure what's going with that. It is also very dry. I'm sitting here with my hair drenched with olive oil wrapped in a towel. I did this last weekend too. I'm sure it is partly due to wearing ponytails everyday but my thick hair is becoming thin and so dry. I've only been drying about 3 times per week, the rest of the time I leave it curly and use a hair clip/comb. Lori-do you have any suggestions?

What is everyone up to today? I'm heading out to return some stuff, stop at Costco, the grocery store and the library.

Good Morning!:)

I am up a little earlier then I need to be to get my workout in. I am thinking about running outside. I know that winter is far from over but its suppose to be in the pluses all week:eek:. We have a lot of snow but it won't take long to melt with rain and plus temps.

My bum hurts from all those lunges yesterday! LOVE IT!:D They actually hurt before I went to sleep last night. So today will be my run, then training, then UB after that sometime. Probably wouldn't hurt to do some house work either:confused:

Diana** That's awesome that you are keeping those lbs off. As for the hair, have you changed your diet or is work still stressful?? That would do it. I lost alot of my thickness through out the years and I was a little worried about it but then it stopped. I still have tons of hair so it didn't bother me at first, then I started having dreams that my hair was falling out!

So this week I am going to the travel agency with my MIL to see what :mad:our options are for our trip. She told me that everything was selling out and then I quickly reminded her that there was more then one airline going south! I found an awesome place and its only $2700 for both of us for a week. I will be so excited when we book it!

I'm back from my trip. It was great, and I did a pretty decent job keeping up with workouts.

Hi Ladies,

I guess this morning will be Imax 3. I'm just drinking my coffee and waiting for the caffeine to kick in. I may try to hit the rec ctr later today too and then bootcamp class tonight.

I weighed this morning....and am up a couple a pounds. I'm sure it's just water weight from having pizza and pasta over the weekend. DH doesn't get the whole carb thing. I didn't say too much since he made dinner both Sat & Sun.

That coworker I was having so much trouble with, well she gave her 2 weeks notice on Friday. DH said my smile was priceless!

Mama got a new phone this weekend. Out with the blackberry and in with the motorola atrix 4G. Wow, it's an amazing phone! DS has a droid so he gave me a quick tutorial to get me started. I have a lot to learn, but can email, text and make calls...and facebook!

LauraR-glad you are back and that you had a great trip!

Lori-Actually, I'm eating better...more fruits and veggies, less processed foods. Work is stressful because I'm still trying to get that darned promotion. Why does your MIL want to join you and DH on your romantic vacation? booh.

Good Morning.

Quick check in for work outs since I went MIA y'day. Will be back in a bit for personals...

I am pretty sure I checked in Saturday but I'm not positive. I did D11 + abs that day. I should have done cardio too but it didn't happen.:rolleyes:
Y'day was supposed to be D12 but I was tired and lazy and ended up skipping weights :eek: and doing P90 Cardio Challenge. Good work out but not what I should have been doing. :confused:
This morning (thank goodness) was D12 and abs. No time for cardio ofcourse but I expected that. Cardio and STS will never happen on a weekday.

Tomorrow was supposed to be a rest day but I will probably do cardio to loosen up the legs a bit and then rest on Wednesday instead.

ONLY ONE MORE WEEK OF MESO 1 TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
 
Diana--Congratulations on some tough workout combos and maintaining the weight loss. I need to clean up my eating (it's been merely "tidy") and lose another 5 pounds before we head to the States. It's very hard to eat clean when we're traveling so much!

Lori--Glad you're feeling your leg workout today!! I'm waiting for the day that I love lunges!

Wendy--Hope you had fun at your game. Did you recover from your 2am wake-up the other day? Sounds like you need some time-release melatonin.

LauraT--Hope your quad gets better. You're right to baby it to avoid an injury! Wildlife? Well, besides the 3 in my raft ;), we saw monkeys and lots of birds. No hippos or crocs in that section of the Nile, because of the rapids.

So, I managed to fit in STS disc 26 Thurs morn before we left. I was a little bummed that, since we were so pressed for time, I couldn't fit in an ab workout. Needn't have worried. Between every rapid, our kids hopped out and swam. Getting out was no problem, but getting back IN the raft is tough. So guess who got to haul them? Moi! The guide just sat there and watched me. OK. Sure, he was piloting the whole raft. But not even a finger of assistance, even with the 90-pound 10-year-old. So my whole core was on fire the next day. I got my ab workout! :D

I ran 3 miles on Friday--so happy for my Garmin that lets me know how far I've run, even if I'm in a totally new place

No "real" workout on Saturday, but I did lots of craft shopping, and I walked--and I hauled all my own bags. So I got some pretty good shoulder work in. :p

So that's my report. Low Max was great today. That one sneaks up. For about the first 3 cycles I thought "oh, bum" this is going to be too easy, now that I'm running. But, no, by round 7 I was toast--in a good way. :)

Morning ladies! it is COLD out today .. bbbrrrrr

Had a BLAST of a weekend - DH surprised me w/a gambling trip .. we had a BLAST .. I was up and down the whole time .. got to play lots of "bonuses" ..was up SAT .. but then played it back it .. but hey .. it was SO MUCH FUN!!! :D NO workouts to report .. :eek: .. but it is just as well .. as to let the bum leg heal!!

LauraR - your trip sounds amazing!!! WOW the guide was kinda a jerk huh?? WOW ...

Lori - where are you planning your trip to??? I am afraid w/gas prices rising everything like flights and vacations are gonna rise too ... we went ahead and booked our Jamaica trip JIC prices skyrocket!!

DI - I had to LOL when you said that about your smile upon finding out your work PIA is leaving .. I bet your were doing the happy dance all over the office :p :p :p and LOL about the hubby not getting "the carb thing" .. LOL .. My hubby doesnt grasp the FRIED thing...:confused: ..

Wendy - woohoo almost done w/meso1 .. WOOT WOOT!! let me know if you ever get that lat explosion I was talking about :eek: :p

OK . . the diet was NON EXISTANT this past weekend :eek: but OMG .. the food was TOO AWESOME :p :D will have to get my arse back on track today!! LOL .. but I am STARVING .. LOL ..
 
Laura, Ooh the casino! Always gotta love that! Glad you had fun! :D Yep, I am very excited to get started on M2! From all accounts, it sounds like I'll love it! :) LOL re the lat explosion. I'll keep ya posted! ;)

A few mins to check in. Actually,I feel like I could use a coffee right about now! Maybe I will:D

Sooo....my friend who borrowed my GS workouts dropped them off today. I only had intentions of using C&T but you know what its like when I get started...who knows when I'm gonna stop :eek: So then I did back ,shoulders and bics as well. I know I am going to be hurting tomorrow. I can tell I am stronger then I was the last time I did those dvds. I use to struggle during overhead press for the last couple of reps, but not today. And not to mention side lateral raises. I grabbed 12's for the 1st set and quickly went to 15's. Then I did B&G's abs...and a 4 mile run on the TM:)

Diana** That is priceless about the smile! Love it!:) These is nothing better then when a nagging coworker takes a hike. We use to have a girl that worked with us years ago and she was so weird. She was on all kinds of meds and I never knew what kind of mood she was gonna be in. When she went packing, I loved it! Glad you are enjoying your new phone!!!

LauraR** Love the story about you hauling those kids up! I think most men think we are weak, its nice to show them up sometimes:D

Laura** Sounds like you had an awesome weekend. We are leaning towards Cuba. I can't wait to book it. I am gonna be sooo excited!

Wendy** You have been quiet the last couple of naps, probably busy taking naps:D LOL Did you like my comment on FB? hehe!

Lori:: You are exactly right! Unfortunately I WAS busy taking naps!!! I had no energy this weekend!!! :(:confused::eek::eek: Nice weight selections for GS today! Enjoy the DOMS that's comin' your way tmrw! I'll be suffering with you but I'll have toilet seat issues while you have coffee cup raising issues! :p
 
Di--Sorry about the weekend pounds from the carbs! We started posting at the same time (mine took a couple tries to upload), so while I was congratulating you on last week's success, you were posting about a weekend downturn. :( Sorry. I know it'll come back off!

Wow, the DOMS from D12 is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be! It's very tolerable! We'll see if it stays that way though! :p

I debated getting up this early but then DS woke up...so here I am. I have someone to train at 8:30 so that gives me 90 mins or so. Not nearly enough time for a workout.

We went the travel agency yesterday and then our friends came for a visit last night. I think we have the resort picked out. Our friend is gonna make a quick call today to see if he can get it cheaper and if so he is just gonna book all of it on his cc and everyone pay him back. Sooooo....by the end of the day I may have a trip booked. Ahh....sun,sand and kid free:eek:

I have some major DOMS going on from yesterday's workout. Loves it! I am thinking I will do the GS series once a week until we go away and now I have to decide what other workout I wanna tack on. Maybe I will just stick to HR b/c of the fact that its lighter weights and I don't wanna bulk up. Im not sure what today's workout will be. Probably cardio and abs. I will probably save legs for tomorrow b/c I just did those on Sunday.

Wendy** I love naps but never get to take them anymore. So maybe my responses were b/c I was jealous:p Crossing my fingers that your pain gets worse...we are some sick individuals...LOL

Alright, I will probably bbl. Today isn't gonna be a crazy one. Without work thrown in there, it usually isn't.

Lori...That's right! Be jealous of my naps lady (LOL) but you bring it on yourself! I don't think it's possible for you to slow down! :eek: Maybe you need to quit drinkin' coffee! :p
 
Good Morning Ladies,

I was so tired last night I skipped bootcamp and went to bed early! This morning will be original bodymax, not including UB weights.

The snow missed us and our temps are supposed to go back up to the 50's and 60's starting tomorrow. Those are some good temps for running. I'm going to try to get 2 30-45 minute runs in this week.

I'm going to switch my WW from meetings to online. I haven't been to a meeting in more than a month. I just stop in and weigh. I'm going to purchase the 3 month online version and see how that works out for me.

I've signed up for a couple of classes at our local college. They are for resume' writing, cover letters, general job search etc. Also 2 are for interviewing, one is basic interviewing and the other is practice. The last one is on using LinkedIn for finding jobs. I may have to leave the company to make more money. I've been there for 20yrs and it may just be time to move on.

Wendy-Girl, I've been to 4 targets and 3 walgreens looking for supreme 90 and haven't had any luck. I may just purchase it online. I just hate to pay for shipping on a $20 item. I've been looking at cardio surge on the collage site.

Lori-so were you able to talk MIL out of coming on vacation with you? I love the GS series too!

LauraR-glad you enjoyed ME this morning. Wow, I haven't done that one in a long time.

LauraT-sounds like you had a fun weekend. Hopefully your knee will feel better since it's had a few days rest! Oh yes....the happy dance for sure!

Diana:: You know what they say...STOP looking for S90 and you'll find it! ;) Jen (Irish Rose) is doing WW online and loves it! Hope it works for you too! Great way to prepare for a job search after 20 yrs by taking those classes. I hope things work out the way you want them to. :)
