Damage Control Week of June 6th

Hi Girls:)

Thought I was going to get to check in yesterday but that didn't work out to well. I was soooo moody whenever I saw someone coming my way. I just wanted to sit and do my work....I didn't want to be interrupted!

Yesterday and today I am feeling the pregnancy bug. I am fine when I am eating...which isn't a good thing b/c that means I will want to keep eating:eek: Yesterday I didn't think I was going to make it through the day without throwing up but I did...and now today I am feeling the same way. Maybe working out will help some. I will probably do GS back and bics and 30 mins on the TM. I may hop on the bike for a little while too.

Wendy** I noticed on FB that you did a body rock workout. So it didn't kill you?? So you don't have to make away with Diana either?;)

Laura** Were you pregnant in your dream as well? Coming along for the ride, hey? Congrats on getting your arse out of bed this morning and getting that workout done!

Diana** Good job with the scale:mad:;):) I'm joking. Mine is going up and down now but hasn't went up pass the up in a while. Makes me feel alittle better. I was just freaked out not knowing when it was gonna stop. I should have kept a journal when I had DS, atleast I would have had something to gauge it on.

I will bbl to report my workout. No real plans here this afternoon.

Diana:: Yay for a fixed AC! Speaking of AC...our temps will be 95-100 today!!!:eek: My poor DH!:confused: Sorry Intensity didn't go well for you today. Sometimes the coordination just isn't there. It happens to me too. In fact it happen to me today on the last step routine in LIS. I felt like I had 2 left feet all of the sudden. :eek: TY for answering my question on the 600 rep work out. I will follow the order of the video then. :) I really liked this morning's BR work out! At first I was thinking it wasn't so hard but the 2nd exercises is burpees and by the time I was half way through those I had changed my mind! :p Good stuff! I will keep it for future use for sure! ;)

Lori:: Some people are never happy-jeesh! You do not feel sick so you think something is wrong and now that you are nauseus you are going to complain!? :rolleyes::p:D Thankfully I didn't deal with that at all during my pregnancy and would not want to. Some people have it really bad to the point where they are constantly feeling sick and tossing their cookies. :eek: Yep-I survived this morning's BR work out so Diana is safe....for now! LOL

Wendy - I printed out the written sequence - soooooo ??? - I dont really think it matters - cause it is more of a circuit kinda thing anyway .. prbly could mix them all up and it dont matter - DOMS? NOPE unless from the killer pushup totrure but like Di said it is just mostly interval cardio w/a focus on the core!! your legs will feel it in the plyo lunge/kicks and the sumo squats - and so will your heart!!! LOL

Di - most of my class loves the bodyrock twist - we do a lot of those moves - just not quite the same as she does ... so it is different and therefore creates an entirely different shock to the system! Of course Zuzana takes something that is already pretty hard and finds a way to make it just a little bit harder and tweak in the core ..... :confused: :p

Lori- my dream was vague - yes i was preggers - but not .. ?? IDK weird!!! I figured the sickness stage wasnt far away ... hang in there!
 
Laura:: Okay okay, stop describing the work out or I will surely chicken out! :p You dreamt you were pregnant!? :eek:

Diana:: IKWYM about the scissors which I assume are the jump lunges in the work out? I had to do them this moring and they slay me for some reason! :eek:
 
Hey--terrible news here.

We just got a phone call that our house in Uganda burned down!! :mad::mad::(:(:(:(

OK. There are just not enough emoticons to deal with something this huge.

One of the first things I thought of was my ENTIRE collection of Cathe DVDs, my step, my high step, my NEW STS tower . . . .

Our important paperwork was saved--but that's about it.

I'm trying not to plunge into emotional eating, but it's hard--and I'm stressed, so it's hard to make good food choices.

Working out is a blessing right now, though. We're in Utah and went on an awesome hike with the kids yesterday.

Friends are pitching in to help out, so financially-logistically we will be fine. My biggest concern is making sure I and the kids are healthy--physically and emotionally.

Wow, what a bombshell to drop on y'all. Just needing to touch base with my Cathe community where I find stability for my physical wellness--in good times and bad!
 
LauraR:: OMG ((((((HUGS))))))) Any idea how it happened!?!?! How awful!!!! I'm soooo sorry! :(:(:(:(:( I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now! Keep us posted on how you all are doing please!!!!!
 
Wendy--It was an electrical fire. Our co-workers and the fire department both responded quickly, but the ceiling caught on fire and made the house unsafe very quickly. The whole house burned in under an hour.
 
OMG LAURA!!!!! I am SOOOOO sorry!!!

that is HORRIBLE!!! {{{{{ HUGS }}}}} and prayers and comfort to you!!! I can not imagine - no there are no words or anything - bless your heart!! Just be glad you and your family were not there and all of you are safe and sound.

Oh my heart is breaking for you - you and your family do so much good in this world!! Bless your heart!!! I am praying for you!! Hang in there!!!

OMG LauraR, I just saw your post. I'm so sorry...I cannot even imagine what you and your family are going through. Seeing the pictures is heartwrenching to say the least. I'm so thankful that no one was hurt in this tragic incident. Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers! Is there homeowners insurance....can you rebuild? My heart goes out to you and your family.
 
No insurance, but our churches are taking care of us.

We rent the house, so the landlord will have to decide if he wants to rebuild. We're hoping he will!
 
Good Morning:)

The thing about going to bed so early is that I am getting up early...not real early but earlier then I need to on my day off. Coffee isn't going down to great today.

LauraR** This is terrible news! How are you and your family doing today? Sometimes sleep helps...and it gives you more time to think. This is just devastating! When do you go back? I am so thankful that no one was hurt! Thinking about you and your family! You will get through this!!!

Yesterday's workout was GS bic and back, 4DS shoulders, and 45 mins on the TM. I usually run to the 30 mins mark, then I take some walking breaks, and run for another couple of mins. I try to keep moving for 45-60 mins anyway. DS and I walked to the playground after I worked out. I felt the best yesterday evening. If this is as bad as it gets I can handle it. I can still function, workout and eat....there is just a lump in my throat when I do it, that's all.

So I have opened up to the option of getting a van. DH has wanted me to get a van forever and I probably do need something a little bigger then a car but I wanted a car before I got pregnant again. I still think we could manage just fine with a car plus it's cheaper on gas. Yesterday evening we drove around for a while and went to the car dealerships. I saw one that I liked but there was nice price sheet on the window and according to how it looked on the inside, it was expensive.

Wendy** I am allowed to complain!:p That's right....'never happy' can be my two middle names right now. I am not even going to do you the honors of leaving this thread....I am just going to stay here and whine and whine and whine. Eventually you will stop reading my post and just ignore me:eek::eek:

Laura** Maybe not being able to remember your pregnant dream is a good thing:rolleyes: DH asked me yesterday if I was getting depressed...LOL. I just keep thinking about all the work that is about to come my way again AND just getting pass this icky feeling is good enough for me right now. I can remember with DS, I loved going to bed b/c I had another day punched! I feel the same way this time.

Diana** What's on the workout agenda today??

I think I am going to do a run/walk like yesterday again and then LBB. I have a workout session at 11 and I am taking DS to the play ground at 1 with a friend. I may go test drive vans after that......

Hi ladies,

I worked from home yesterday and was starving...so I ate a few things that are not on Michi's Ladder, but am back on track today. I opted not to weigh this morning. My weight was up .5 yesterday.

Due to my eating yesterday I was planning on doing cardio this morning, but I don't really feel like it. I may go do some abs and a HIIT if I can talk myself into it. Otherwise bootcamp will be it for me today.

LauraR-I hope the landlord rebuilds too. I'm glad to hear that your churches will be taking care of your family. So nice that you have them to help you out during this tragedy.

Wendy-what w/o did you do this morning...another bodyrock perhaps???

Lori-I've seen some very nice vans, but never wanted on for myself either. I prefer an SUV. Vans can usually carry more people and have more room for stuff too. I can see the advantages, carpools, playdates, etc. I hope you find something you and DH can agree on. Have fun at the park with DS.

Laura-what's are you up to today?
 
Ok, I'm back....

So obvioulsy I did it, LauraT!! Body Rock's 600 Rep Fat Burner W/O! I didn't have enough time to do every rep as the work out is written. It calls for 10 exercises at 30 reps each x 2 rounds = 600 reps. I did 1 round of 10 exercises at 30 reps each but then for the 2nd round (to save time since I KNEW I wouldn't finish) I did 15-16 reps for 6 of the 10 exercises and did all 30 reps for the other 4. This totalled 510 reps I believe. I finished the work out with 3 minutes to spare. ;) I gave myself 60 minutes to do the work out not including w/u and stretch. In order to complete it in full I would probably need another 15ish minutes so I will keep that in mind for next time. :)

LauraR:: So nice to see that your Church is going to take care of you. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. When do you return to Africa?

Lori:: How about an SUV instead of a van? That's what I would do. No mini van for me. NO WAY! :p

ETA-Diana:: We were posting at the same time. The occassional cheat is no big deal. What did you have? Hope you enjoyed it! :D

Morning Ladies!!

I DID IT AGAIN!! I managed to get up and knock out my STS tris, chest and shoulders :D:D:D:D yyeessssss!!!! the arms are officially TOAST!!! I managed to go heavier than the last time I did STS :D :eek: :D - I will run errands at lunch - and then tonight is PLYO! I gotta get someone to take pics in class for the article coming up in our company newsletter - I really would like to get some shots of me and class IN MID AIR - like w/the X plyo jumps - or the LONG and HIGH squat leap up ... we will see .. wish me luck!!

Last night DH and I went out to eat - went to a place we havent been in forever - they used to have these TO DIE FOR chicken skins appetizer - I usually only eat one - but that was main reason we went there - well I just be dang if they werent BAD - spoiled even!!! :mad: We waited forever and then they come out and were bad!! GGRRRRRRRR- of course we sent them back and didnt have to pay for them - but GGRRRRRR DH had ordered hot wings - so I had 3 of them but PI$$ED b/c the only reason we went there was for my favorite indulgence - guess it wasnt meant to be - saved me the calories!! but still :mad:

LAURAR- those pictures BREAK MY HEART - made me sick to my stomach - I cant imagine what ya'll are going thru .. and to be so far away has got to be added torture!! Hate to ask what about your furbabbies??? are they ok? Thank God for your Church - Hang in there sweetie!

Lori - glad the morning sickness isnt TOO bad on you!!! My friend has a Chevy Equinox mini-van .. and I drove it last week - and it drove like a car .. turns on a dime .. smooth ride .. and good vision .. and the inside was like a car - she loves it!! I think it is pretty affordable too .. check into it! Hey .. also the Nissan Murano - AWESOME suv/minivan - not too big - not too small and sporty!!

WENDY -- WOOOT WOOOT!!! so it was an @$$ buster huh?? I KNEW IT - I was thinking it would be about 60 - 65 minutes total!! she is freaking awesome - and YOU are freaking awesome! GREAT JOB.. and I am goind to pop over and look at the next challenge .. I cant do it till next week .. but I am in!!! :p ;)

Di - GMA had a segment the other day on THE best diets - of course Weight Watchers was #1 b/c of convenience, nutrition, and ease of use - but the OVERALL best diet for overall health was the Dash diet - it is basically low fat - low sodium - clean eating.. but you may want to check it out!!! it was designed to lower blood pressure and cholesterol .. but also is great for insulin control ... looks very doable!!!

OK ... soooooooooo I am on VACA tmrw .. DEEP SEA FISHING I will go - yes first OFFICIAL display of BIKINI body this year (family pool time doesnt count) :eek: I am askkkkeeerrreeed!!!! :eek: :p not really - I am READy - ready to fish - bask in the sun - enjoy!!!! the workouts will be NONEXISTANT for next few days - but fishing counts!!!!! b/c you know I am gonna be reeling in the BIG ONE!!!! :p :cool::cool::cool:

OK.. ready for a killer plyo class (may sneak peak and see if Zuzana has something I can add as a sick twist tonight) .. gotta jet .. have a great one!!

Hi Girls

I had a all bran bar before my workout this morning but about 30 mins into my run I started to get hungry and sick. So I had to eat again before I could do legs. Its like Im a bottomless pit all day and then dinner time I am not hungry and I don't eat anything else for the rest of the evening. I guess I can't sleep and eat, can I? I keep looking for something with substance that will stick with me for more then an hour but it's hard to find. I am wondering if I am not famished b/c I go so long in the evening without eating...from 7-7 really and then when I wake up my body needs lots? Plus I workout on top of it?
So far today I have had:

All bran bar
Toast, 1 egg, 1 white, orange
10 crackers and cheese
bagel with butter ( I know)

And its only 12:30:eek:

Alright...so my workout was 45 mins on the TM and LBB standing work.

Laura** Happy Holidays!:p Hope you enjoy your vaca! NIce job on getting up early again to workout. You just getting into the groove and now your going on vaca!?;)

Wendy** Sounds like you enjoyed your workout. I would love to do it with you...but I can't:p Have you ran lately at all? Will you get back into it this summer?

Diana** My days are always hungry days;) So if you need someone to listen to your problems, then I am your friend:)

Thanks LauraT for the kudos. I was cursin' you out thru the entire work out though! :p;) I have to find time to squeeze in this other 600 repper I found but with M3 starting Saturday it could be tough to do.:eek: I will have to do some re-arranging to make it work! Will you do it with me? :cool: ENJOY YOUR FISHING TRIP! :D
