Damage Control . . . Week of July 24

I am in safety syposium today...

Did heck of a mish mosh plyo class ...was a sweatfest ..and I survived...felt great...I did get up this mrng..did week 2 bis,tris n shoulders this mrng ..added a bit of weight...felt great...I canceled clss shld get out if here early..n get to go home..so thnk an asylum cardio is order for this afternoon..

Di..keeping fingers crossed for your job..

Wendy...our next casino trip will b in the winter I guess...

StepBlast Done! It was tough too. I think I need to take regular rest days. Sometimes I go 15-20 days without a rest day and it's affecting my workouts, like struggling in bootcamp.

Wendy-I haven't done PS in a very long time. I'm thinking of using pinto beans for the sandbag and putting them in a backpack. We buy them in 10# bags. They have a 20 or 25# bag at costco. I struggle with using the kettlebells holding them in the "clean" although I've done it that way in the past.

Good Lord this site is still freaking out! Came on before and the page just kept reloading itself over and over and over....:confused:

Checked out tmrw's BR work out. Looks interesting but I need to watch the video to really understand some of the exercises and can't do that from here. Guess I'll check it out over my wine glass later!;)

Diana:: I have been doing sb moves with db's and kb's and find it's very doable so I'll just stick with that...atleast for now...if I come across the correct size duffle bag (has to be small) for cheap one day I will pick it up and try using it with the weights I have from the weighted vest I never used. Let me know how your answer to the sandbag works out!

LauraT:: Bet you'd rather be at work right now! :confused:

1) PS Warm Up + Biceps
2) BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv
3) 10 minutes of jump rope
4) STS Extended Stretch
5) Fall down on the floor in a puddle of sweaty limp mush! :p

WW weigh in this moring: Down 1.4 pounds from last week (this seems like a lot to me but I won't argue!)! Only 1 pound left to get to goal! :D TERRIFIED of maintenence though!!!!:eek:

Good Morning Ladies,

My whole body hurts this morning. Bootcamp is getting harder and harder. We started off with a warmup lap around the football field.
  1. sprint to the 10yd line, walking lunges back to the 0
  2. run 10 hills (we all said in unison...How Many???)
  3. 10 pushups/10 dips.
  4. Repeat increasing sprints by 10 yards , increasing pushups and dips by 5, decreasing hills by 1. All this until we are sprinting 100 yards, running 1 hill etc. We did a variety of different pushup positions and dips too. My legs were jello by the end.
This morning will be the next STS disc CSB. I weighed this morning and am down a total of 7.2#'s and 2.6 for the week. I broke my plateau, but my body is hurting. It's all about the food though. Preparing my food for the week really helped out. I always plan and prepare my food when working, but not usually when I'm off.

Wendy-How are you liking following the BR w/o's? The ball exchange (can't remember what zuzanna called it) looks super tough with a weighted ball. Oh yeah, and I bet your inner thighs were already sore from yesterday's w/o and today you have the skaters with a weighted ball.

Diana:: Awesome job on the weight loss! I KNEW you could do it! REST if you need to. As long as you are stringent about the food you'll be fine. :) Wow BC sounds super tough! Sound like the extra long version of BR! :eek: I am LOVING this BR rotation! Fantastic! Thanks for introducing me to the site! :D I TRIED the ball pass with my 8# med ball and um...NO WAY! :eek: Ofcourse my abs worked hard y'day and on Tuesday so it might have something to do with it. I even tried with a 4# med ball but decided to stick with my light little rubber ball I got from BB. I think it might weigh 2# if that!? It's not a med ball or anything. I felt it though so I don't care! :D Used the 8# med ball for the skater lunge move and tried to use it for the elevated leg push ups but it was too small. Ended up using my highstep topper with one riser underneath it. Worked out much better! :)

So ystsy I ended up doing asylum speed and agility AND relief!!! :D DOMS: shoulders and tris (from sts)!!!! TODAY IS TOTAL REST DAY!! TMRW: I will be AT HOME .. woohooo ... got loads of housework to catch up on .. and plan on (at the moment) doing STS plyo legs and maybe STS chest and back .... ??? THEN SUN prbly BH cardio!

Di - BC sounds brutal .. ya .. imagine jelly legs were warranted!!! WOOHOOOO on the weight loss!!! WTG - that is AWESOME!!! I am still doing major damage control from my terrible eats on my vaca!!! ugh

Wendy - I have got to get back to BR and see what her new stuff you have been whipping out is!

LauraT:: WTG on the Asylum work out! I will never buy that series b/c I barely touch the original Insanities right now :eek: and said I would NOT buy Asylum until I did another full Insanity rotation. Once again it comes back to so many work outs, so little time...:confused: Yes, start doing BR's again! Misery loves company after all! :eek: LOL Just kidding! :p No really! I swear!!!!;):D
 
Hey Wendy - thing about Asylum v/s Insanity - NO COMPARISON - NOT EVEN close - I dont think I will ever do Insanity again - but Asylum is such a better workout - well rounded - more controlled - more emphasis on actually DOING the workout and doing it CORRECTLY than flailing around - it is sports oriented and never boring or monotonus!! :) I know - there I go enabling - but in the choice between the two - HANDS DOWN Asylum - it is not only the better, more efficient, better executed workout but it is better and more than that WELL ROUNDED - focuses not only on cardio but weights and strength and using your own body weight - NO COMPARISON!!!;)

I cant wait for Cathe's new workouts - and doing a Cathe LIIT / asylum / STS rotation :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: :D:D:D:D:D I know I am warped that way!!! :p
 
Hi Ladies,

My girls are down for a nap and I just made two desserts. One is a triple berry crumble made with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. The other is called Reese's Peanut Butter bars made with butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, all melted and mixed together with melted chocolate chips on top. We are going to MIL's for dinner tonight.

Tomorrow we need to leave for the airport at 6am. Poor DS won't even be home from work until 1 or 2 am. It sure makes for a long day for him. His flight is at 8:25am and his return flight is at 2:30 and he gets home at 6 something. I will be packing the girls stuff after dinner tonight. We had them gather up all their toys and pack their backpags for the flight.

Laura-I tackled Disc 30 today, Shoulder/bi's/tri's. Nice job with the workouts. You've been in vacation and anniversary mode for the past month time get back on clean eats wagon! With all your w/o's you will catch up in no time. You definitely need to check out the BR site, amazing is all I can say!

Wendy-ITA w/Laura, Asylum is totally different from Insanity and is more sports and agility focused. I'm off to find the p90x/Insanity hybrid rotation.
 
Hi ladies....me again...really. Where is everyone?

DS and I packed up the girls and headed to the airport early this morning. Of all things, my car died about 200 yards from the parking garage. DS had to push it to the side of the road and we had to walk down the road, over a hill and then into the airport. DH came to rescue me but ended up having to call a tow truck anyway. He sent me on my way and said he'd stay with the car. I'm waiting for him to call so I can pick him up at the garage.

Not sure how the day will play out, but it should be a cardio day. We'll have to see how the day unfolds.

Hey Diana! OMG what a terrible time for your car to die! Good thing you have such a good guy there in your DS. He saved his mom! :)

This morning's work out was PS Chest only + Step Moves after I went food shopping.

I'm showered and dressed and just ate lunch. We are headed to a pool party shortly so you may not hear from me again until tmrw!

Good Morning Girls!

So yesterday we went to a pool party. Had a great time! Spent 8 hours eating and drinking and lazing around outside and now I am paying for it this morning ofcourse. :rolleyes: I'm tired and fat now. :( Gained 4# overnight. :eek: Gotta love it. :eek: I know it's just bloat that will go away but it's still super annoying. :mad: K, I'm done complaining now. :p

Today's work out will be PS Shoulders + cardio and possibly abs as well.

Guess that's all for now...BBL or tmrw!:cool:
 
Good Morning Ladies,

Yesterday ended up being a rest day for me. I managed to do a bit of cleaning after the girls left yesterday. Today will be major cleanmax that is way overdue. We've been keeping up with the bare minimum while the girls were here.

It's back to STS, Chest and Back today. I'm also starting a 12 week challenge with one of my FB groups. The challenge starts tomorrow, Aug 1st. Wendy, are you participating in this challenge? As soon as I finish up STS I will be starting the p90x/Insanity hybrid rotation. I'm going to have to print off the p90X worksheets soon. I hope the Insane cardio helps me get the weight off and the X will help me keep my muscle from STS.

Wendy-glad you had a great time yesterday. I didn't eat very good yesterday either. It started out with 1 boiled egg/2 boiled egg whites and a banana. Lunch was a subway club sandwich and dinner was tamales...yummy! I will take my measurements today for the start of the new challenge, but use my weight from tomorrow;). I also need to do the same in two weeks for the end of STS.

LauraR-hope you had a great weekend on the Cathe RT. I think we should all meet up at a RT...even at LauraT's Gym.. Safe travels back to TX. When do you head back to Africa?

LauraT-how is your weekend playing out?

Lori-How are you feeling these days? Are you back to working out regularly?

Hello. :)

So I dragged my tired buns into my work out room around 9am or so and did PS Shoulders followed by BBC Back + Shoulders cardio and standing abs.
After a shower, some food and little play time on the pc,l I got dinner simmering in the crock pot... Slow Cooked Black Eyed Peas with Ham | Ginas Skinny Recipes ...and then we went to the outlets for a bit this afternoon. Now I'm ready for bed! :p

Diana:: No, I'm not doing the FB challenge. Too much pressure! :p Good luck to you though! I'm sure you'll do great.
