(Not So) Good Morning All. :(

I have been awake since about 2:30am. I am NOT happy. :mad: I am tired but couldn't sleep so by 9am I am going to be a zombie. :confused: I suppose I couldn't pick a better day for it (outside of a sat or sun when I have nothing planned) since DS isn't home and DH is going bowling tonight. This means there will be absolutely no guilt involved if I choose to pass out super early this evening. :p

So yesterday at around 4pm I started feeling YUCKY. I took 2 advil at 5 as I was leaving work. When I got home I took Airborne and then had a glass of red wine with dinner. Ended up feeling like a champ by the time I was done eating! Go figure! LOL My only concern is that if there is a "bug" that is attempting to get me, the lack of sleep is going to give it the upper hand. :( I even purposely went to bed early last night to rest and this is what happens. UGH!

So this morning's work out will be Step Blast. I hope my brain is awake enough for this! It's not one of her more complicated routines (can't be or I wouldn't like it! LOL) but I haven't done it in ages so I have re-learn it. This could be bad on very little sleep! :p

Okay, I will stop the incessant babble and get this posted and then come back for personals! :)
 
Tonique did a number on the legs. SORE this morning! Hoping SB will loosen things up for me!

Diana:: Insanity's Recovery Work Outs are quite challenging. I recall them causing me lots of pain and shaking and swearing...really no different from the rest of the program! :p They are excellent work outs. I wish I had the patience to include them in a rotation-Insanity or not! Sorry about the headache. I hope you found relief rather quickly! I will let you know what I think of PS. Jen said she got awesome results with it (and really liked it) some years ago. She had it on VHS only though so she re-purchased it with her pre-order on DVD so she could do another similar rotation. That being said, I was quickly enabled to get it myself and give it a go! Not surprising, huh? ;)

Jacque:: DH is friends with a couple (well, they are divorced now) who had a hot tub in their back yard. We went over a few times and hung out in it and had drinks. It was fun. The heat (I assume) really heightens the buzz! lol I also did that in Atlantic City with my GFs one time. We all went down and went to the indoor pool at the hotel the first day we were there in the afternoon. Before you know it we are in one of the hot tubs there drinking and having a blast. I was drunk at 4pm! It was awesome. ;):D Yeah-Bob's shorter work out on his cardio dvd doesn't make sense. Laura said it's a good w/o but I had assumed/hoped/thought it would be a shorter cardio...not a lower body work out!?!? Wierd. :confused: I have only done the cardio and the strength dvd one time each so far. Too many options. I will get back to Bob some day though. lol

Step Blast the entire way through. Yes, even the Blast Challenge! :p Plus abs and inner thighs. DONE!

Now I can lapse into my sleepless night coma and not have to worry about anything else until tmrw. ;)
 
Hi Ladies,

I slept pretty good last night and headache is gone. I didn't make it to bootcamp, oh well, it happens some times.

If I do anything this morning it will have to be short. DS needs a ride to school today and I didn't get up in time to do my hour long Insanity Max Cardio Circuit today. Well I'm up, but would have to leave in the middle of it.....not worth it IMO.

Wendy-sorry about not sleeping. SB is a fun one for me....love the challenge. Glad you decided to give stepping another go...it really can be quite fun! I've only done BH hourl long weight w/o and hour long cardio once, and babck to back to boot. Had I realized the cardio incorporated weights, I wouldn't have done it that way. Hope you feel better today and get to be early tonight.

Jacque-You have been quite busy at work lately. I certainly hope all your additional responsibilites is rewarded with a big raise. I'm hopefull I'll get one at the start on the new year. I will probably go to HR if I don't a promotion. Hate to be a squeeky wheel but at some point will have to stand up for myself.

Morning Ladies ! (Only skipping the good for Wendy's sake!:p)

I was awake intermittently last night but don't feel too bad. The day after my 'headache recovery day' always feels good - reminds me that many people live with constant pain and I shouldn't complain when I get it once in a while! :confused:

4DS KB done - KB portion only - will do legs at lunch. Supposed to get to 105' today so don't want to wait until after work. Y'day was only 97' but for some reason it didn't seem that hot? Perhaps the hormones are used to a higher body temp - this that is the case as I'll go to work when it is 55' outside with sleeveless tops and it doesn't bother me in the least.

Wendy - sorry about your lack of sleep - you know I understand. Will think of you in a few hours when I start yawning too ! ;) Good job on the w/o - that should help with a good night's sleep tonight. Yes, hot tubs are the ultimate IMO - I love it, even without company. My fav is at night when it's really dark looking at the stars, listening to the world go to sleep. . .

Lori - oops, not yet? uh oh, where are you ? ? ? :rolleyes:

Diana - good to hear the head is better - it so sucks when they are bad ones so you can't workout! :mad: Even more of a bummer you missed your fav BC class. Well no raise yet - another thing I need to work on - a plan for myself - hoping our training consultant can ease my boss into it. At this point I'm helping his managers (my peers) work with their employees since they are saying he isn't helping. :confused: Kinda my story right now - helping all the managers whose bosses aren't managing them to do what they need to do. I feel like the VP's should be a little more accountable since my 'status' has not changed and I'm a peer rather than someone who should be holding the VP's direct reports accountable. (Not sure if that makes sense - but I'm trying to make those on my level do their job and it is their bosses who should be doing it). ITA with you if you don't get a promo after all you have been doing. Are you documenting your accomplishments and revising your job description so you can show your added value? That is the best way to get HR to listen.

Anyway, off to post my favorite read from Sat on FB - check it out if you have a chance. . .
 
Diana:: I guess my loused up BB was good for something! ;) It's what basically forced me to start stepping again b/c I needed to stick with low impact aerobics for all that time!I had fun this morning. A lot of the routine was still familiar to me even after all this time. :) Glad the headache is gone. Sorry you missed BC class. I know how much you enjoy it. I don't blame you for not wanting to start a w/o you can't finish. What did you end up doing if anything?

Jacque:: Thanks for leaving the GOOD out this morning! ;) Glad you enjoyed 4DS k/b. I really like that one and I will be doing it soon! I'm doing k/b add ons w/PS Back and Bi's every Wednesday. I think tmrw is CTX k/b-as much as I have time for anyway. Should be fun! :)
 
So my patience and tolerance level seem to be high regarding learning/re-learning choreography this week ie: RS and SB. I have IMAX 2 scheduled for Thursday. I am wondering if I should bite the bullet and give IMAX 3 a go instead? I can always keep IMAX 2 as my back up plan for if I really get irritated, right? ;)

Well DOMS report: butt and hamstrings ..I'm baaaaaaaack :p yup not as bad as I was expecting but a bit of moaning when I get up and down :D last night did mish mosh of plyo, weighted LB, high rep/no weight LB, 2 sets weighted UB in circuits ending w/plank core torture and leg walk core torture .. set my abs on fire .. they were poking on out there too .. the pants waistline is fitting a bit too snug for my liking too :mad: guess you gott pay if you are gonna play :( :eek:

Wendy ... stepping?? wow girlie .. I have not done IMAX in a while .. maybe I need to break it out this weekend and change things up .. I usually teach step on MON .. but my brain was still on vacation scared I would mess it up big time!!! And I am RIGHT THERE W/YA on the NO SLEEP .. :(..I have been up for the last THREE nights at 2:30 a.m and can not go back to sleep .. drives me NUTZ!!!

Di .. glad the head is better .. man headaches are a drag big time .. my DB is having migraines .. he has all his life but I think they are caused by his STRESS on the job .. he is to see a DR about them today ..

Jacque .. saw your temps are high .. the evil aunt does not have an a/c unit .. so I did a little evil grin when I watched the weather for CA this morning .. :eek: .. sorry .. forgot you would suffer too ... Yes my class DREADS when I get back from vaca b/c they KNOW I indulge .. and they know I kick my w/o in the arse to make up for it .. {insert another evil grin} .. but most of my ladies are like you .. most say BRING IT ON!!! :eek:

oh and the BH shorter w/o on the DVD .. ya it is NOT cardio .. it is LB work .. but it is a good workout .. perfect for a short lunch workout .. but shouldnt be classified as "cardio" .... and the yoga w/o OH MY it is good .. BH managed to fit some classic yoga in but takes that and manages to contort your body into doing, lunges, squats, and pushups WHILE in yoga poses :confused:

Hello to Lori .. where r u??? hope everything is fine!!

sooooooo had a new student last night one of SIL friends .. she is young just married .. and has the post wedding "happiness pounds" we seem to find after marriage .. she did good .. and although sore she says she is gonna come back tonight .... we will see .. tonight's class: mish mosh KB and plyo and weight torture .. ;) ... Cathe so needs to get an evil grin icon .. I would use it a lot!!! :p ok have a great one .. better jet!!
