Im just getting us started! I was going to read yesterdays thread to see what I missed but we made it to 3 pages yesterday!!!:p I don't have time to read all of that!

Im heading out for my run but I will check back in when I get to work!

Good Morning!

Well, another partyin' pound has been successfully washed away! :D

Today's work out is Pure Cardio and my first shot at Cardio Abs. It's a 16 minute ab routine. The first part is standing and incorporates some cardio moves thus the name. The second part is floor work. It's probably TOUGH. I'm in pain just thinking about it! :eek:

Lori:: Excuses excuses! :p

Diana:: I wrote back to you last night regarding Insanity. So you will take spin at the rec center?? What time is the class and when do you start? Spin is tough but it's an awesome work out. I did it for several months a couple years ago. I was going to a weekly class while doing the X back in 2007. Ofcourse, just when I was thinking it would "stick" so I was considering getting spinning shoes, I stopped going and haven't been back since. I'm such a dork. :rolleyes: Thank goodness I dropped it BEFORE I spent the $100 on the shoes though! :eek:

Jacque:: Yuppers, BB is in Cali some where girl! You could potentially go work out with Toni Horton (hubba hubba), Chalean Johnson or even Shaun T. perhaps in person if you wanted to! :)

Jen:: I remember your all or nothing attitude when you were doing WSFL!!! You were on THAT godforsaken diet and you actually STUCK TO IT! I do not know how you managed that one girl. You are GOOD! If you can stick to that then you can do ANYTHING! Three cheers for Jen! :D

Laura:: So how are you going to manage doing Insanity and still teach your classes? I considered for a brief moment attempting to go into teaching classes but I am stingy and snobbish about my work outs. I want them the way I want them and teaching a class would mess that up and make me mad. About the only thing I think I would teach that wouldn't interfere and probably even help would be the Centergy class at my gym (yoga/pilates mix) but I am soooo not a yogi so I'd probably never even be able to get certified! LOL

Wendy: I go through spurts where I can commit to something and where I get lazy. I've decided to commit. Now, WSFL was only one month, this is two, so it's TBD if that's going to make a difference. I guess we'll find out just how long my attention span is :p Way to go on gettin' rid of those party pounds! I haven't hopped on the scale in a few days. I considered it this morning but decided to wait until I officially start my Insanity rotation. I'll take official weights and measures then. Looking forward to your report on the ab workout (ugh, I hate abs.)

Off to push a few papers, but will bbl~

Glad to see you are all waking up:) I don't feel so alone now:p

I had a great run this a.m. Im thinking I did about 14-15 kms which is really good for a early morning run, sometimes I am lucky if I can make it pass 10 kms. I must have slept good or something.

Wendy** Ah poohie on you!:rolleyes: Hope your abs are good and sore after:eek: hehe! Im not sure where the summer as gone. It went by pretty fast. Despite all of the rain we have had recently, we did have a really nice summer. Perhaps we will have a really nice winter...if thats possible!

Jen** Hmmm...your gonna get your workouts me for me!! Wahhhhh:(:(:) To be expected I suppose considering I DO live in another country and all.

Jacque** Did you get your shipping notice yet? Diana as me alittle worried.

So tonight we are playing cards. Im kinda looking forward to it:) I usually get into a fit of laughter at some point during the game and Im usually laughing at myself:rolleyes:. We will be playing at the same spot for a full yr. The girl who is hosting tonight was just sentenced to a yr of house arrest:confused: I know...sounds like I hang out with gangsters, doesn't it? She was charged with theft from her last work place but claims that she is innocent. She is a single mother and couldn't afford to fight it any longer. If she wanted to fight it it would have cost her 10 G's for sure and she didn't have the money. She is after draining herself as it is trying to fight it this long. I don't know if she did it or not but it really doesn't make any dif to me, she didn't do anything to me, right?

I received another parcel today as I was heading to work. Two pairs of jeans from american eagle and they both fit.:) One more parcel left to come and then maybe those jeans that I just received will be to big for me:eek: I kinda hope not! LOL Whats the use in having jeans if you can't wear 'um. Im happy with the size...2;) Who wants to be a 0 anyway...thats just nothing:)

Must go do some work I suppose!

Morning Ladies,

Bootcamp was super tough last night. Run 10 lenghts of the soccer field, 25 pushups, 1 hill, 5 dips. Second time through 9 lenghts of the field, 25 pushups, 2 hills, 5 dips. Third time was 8 lengths, 20 pushups, 3 hills, 10 dips. When we got to 7 lengths, we had to jog to the mid line and sprint to the finish on the odd number. I made it throuh five and we had one girl who actually ran the 4 lengths.

Then when I got home, Jerod and I did the first workout of Insanity. He said "how can you just go on continuously like that?" We only did about half the workout and we were both sweating like pigs. I'm hitting that one this morning and plan on doing the whole thing and then some abs too.

I'm still considering going back to WW. I've been at my goal weight 3 times using WW. I don't want to have to depend on WW, as I've never kept the weight off. I obviously need to do something...and I don't mean just buying bigger clothes! I'm pretty sure Insanity will be helping get some of the fat off.

My facial and pedicure appt is at 11:45 and I'm so looking forward to it. I may also head to the store and pick up a new desktop. Our desktop is pretty old and needs to be replaced. Once I transfer everything to the new pc I'll just wipe it and give it to Jerod. I'm sure he'd prefer a laptop over the old big, bulky desktop but he's not getting one.

Lori-hope the weather and temps are good for you run today.

Jen-I browsed through the nutrition book and it looks pretty easy to follow. It's basically 5 meals a day of around 300 cals. They provide you with several choices for each meal, and also how to healthfully increase that meal to 400 or 500 cals if you need to. They use the Harris Benedict formula to determine your calorie requirements. I plan on taking measurements and doing the fit test this next weekend.

Wendy-Good job on the weightloss! At my rec ctr, the instructors teach classes, but do their own workouts separate from that. I think I may have CLX sold to another Catheite. I won't feel so guilty for getting Insanity once its sold. These are tough w/o's. I'd take Imax 3 anyday! The spin class is on Sunday's from 4-5pm. It's an 8 week class, actually called spinning for weightloss. Hopefully my crosstrainers will work fine. It's my forfoot that gives me problems so spinning may not be for me anyway. I figured I'd be more comfortable taking a spin class after taking this beginner class and understand how to adjust the bike settings for me.

Jacque-Maybe you live to close to the distribution center that you will have it before you ever get a shipping notice! Part of the problem is I haven't been tracking my food the last couple weeks. When I was I realized my cals were only around 1100 which is way to low for me. My target intake is 1650 and that should work well for me. I'd been on vacation for a week, then in a training class etc, and high stress at work. It's all food related for me. I love a tough workout and eat good most of the time. I do have a tendency to snack on chocolate chips....not the best choice I know!

Laura-I previewed some of the Insanity dvd's last night and did part of one..OMG is all I can say. These are tough w/o's, its a good thing they are short. The warmup is even tough.

Lori: I kind of lol'd about your friend and her house arrest. But then, yikes! Can you imagine being stuck in the house for a whole year?!? With kids no less? Ugh, that's bad. Anyway, I hope you have a blast playing cards tonight.

Diana: I didn't realize today is the day! A giant HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you. Sorry I don't have all the fancy smilies Jacque does (show off!!! ;)). Enjoy your pampering today. How you managed to get through Bootcamp class and then do an Insanity workout is beyond me, but you go girl! Good job.

Jacque: Thanks for the very flamboyant reminder :p;):) Where do you get all those fancy smilies anyway? I probably shouldn't even ask though...I'd likely use them so much I'd become obnoxious!

Oh, forgot to mention earlier that my workout this morning was MM Upper Body premix. That was a burner.

I got down to my goal weight using ww after having DS and I often wondered if the weight would creep back on after I gave it up. There is no way I only eat a measly 30 points now. The problem is never taking it off, its keeping it off, right? Let us know how you enjoy your workout!

Morning Ladies!!!

Well I LOVED the recovery disc .. got a good burn in my quads .. I did some power yoga and LB/UB work in class last night :D .. I really expected to have major DOMS today . my calves are still crying a bit .. but LOTS better than before .. My shoulders and back are twingy from the power yoga .. but all is good!! Today .. no INSANITY w/o .. but will do my own insane PLYO class ..

Wendy .. it is gonna be tough combing my classes w/the INSANITY b/c it is so demanding .. think SIL and I are gonna alt teaching some classes and do the disc on our own once a week .. thenthe plyo class tonight I am gonna try to lower my reps and do some back to back .. my plyo class has mainly the harder large movements like jump squats from floor touch to reach up - Plie's plyos reaching up - plyo lunges - flying jacks etc .. so I may have to add in some NOT SO hard ones and combine it w/a hard one to make it super hard combo (insert evil grin .. errrr .. changing to sidways smirk hoping I can make it thru w/o passing out in front of class) .. hey and yoga certf. .. not as hard as you think .. you dont have to be a "yogi" .. b/c the practice of yoga is so varied now .. unless you pick a "specific" practice .. look into it!! If you are like me .. you would only enjoy teaching the power yoga that moves quicker w/stronger holds ..

Jen .. whoohoo .. almost here .. wish i could stick to a diet .. w/my work - travel - and classes it is almost impossible to plan and stick to a specific diet .. MAJOR KUDOS for anyone who can ..

Jacque .. work is STILL insane .. I finally got almost caught up now the boss is out sick .. still short 2 employees .. so I am traveling from office to office now .. having to haul butt back to town to be able to teach my classes .. ack .. sending positive healing vibes for you doggie!~~~

LOL .. jk :p

Di .. come on w/the bootcamp w/o you do .. you will LOVE INSANITY .. alhtough I agree w/Jerod .. how does he keep on w/o stopping .. if you look a LOT of his class is NOT doing all the reps or the speed he is .. there are only a couple that keep his pace the whole time .. ya .. like I said these w/o are gonna increase my cardio three fold .. LOL ... but I LOVE IT ... and admit it .. you are just as warped as me and Wendy .. LOL :p:p:eek: .. you are gonna do fine!!! But I wouldnt look ahead .. b/c the second month I peeked at a couple of them .. :eek: :confused: .. dont see how it is humanly possible .. so just take ONE disc at a time .. LOL!!!!!

OK girlies .. it has taken forever to write this gotta run . FIRST of the month and a FULL MOON .. OH MY .. you know INSANITY is gonna be my work asylum for the next couple of days~!!!! :confused::confused: have a great one!!:D

Thanks so much for the Birthday wishes!!! Such a nice surprise...thanks Jacque. I can't even imagine how long that took, but it is much appreciated.

I just came up from the basement...where I did Plyo Cardio Circuit and Cardio abs. I definitely need to work on the level one drills. I pretty much sucked on those. For those that don't know, you drop and do 4 push ups, 8 runs, jump togther and stand up and repeat forever. Hoping to see huge improvements on that part in the next few weeks. The cardio abs was pretty good and not a crunch to be had! The calorie burn for PCC was 367. I haven't heard anyone talk about adding leg weights to this rotation and now I can see why. With all plyo moves I'm hoping to slim down everywhere, especially my thighs.

Lori & Jen-I have no idea how to do all those smilies, cakes etc either.

Lori- you are too funny dear. I could get by great on 30 points, but unfortunately I'm only supposed to have 19.

Jen-I need to get in an upper body w/o soon. I've never done that premix but is sounds good...for another day though.

Laura-I haven't even previewed all the first month discs and don't think I will. Although today's w/o was a little easier than last night. Probably because I saw most of the moves before...and it wasn't after bootcamp class. I know this is the busy time of month for you so don't forget to breath!

Time for me to shower and head to the spa.:D

Jen:: I didn't really look into the Insanity "diet" but I'll bet there is a TON more sustenance there then there was on WSFL so I am quite sure you'll probably be fine. I am just too darned lazy to make new recipes half the time. Actually, the BIGGEST problem I have is being prepared. I never remember to make the list of stuff I need (cause I never just happen to have it all on hand) and am not a last minute run out to the store in order to make dinner tonight type of gal. If I have to do that in order to eat dinner then I will just go to a restaurant or have a sandwich instead. LOL That being said, I probably WILL look through the recipes to see if anything looks good and then never make it. I did that with CLX and P90X too!:p:p:p So what time do you normally get your deliveries? In other words, will you be going INSANE at some point tmrw or will it have to wait until Thursday? ;)

Lori:: I guess if this gal is your friend and you believe in her innocence then that's all that matters! Have fun playin' cards tonight! I used to play poker with friends. So much fun! Unfortunately I don't hang with either group of those friends anymore. Both sets were boyfriend's friends and when we broke up obviously his friends went with him. *shrugs*

Diana:: BC sounds like it was crazy tough! You are sooo cut out for Insanity it's not even funny with all of the crazy cardio you do. You'll see. You'll be tearin' through those work outs like champ in no time! :D Yes, ITA level 1 drills are tough but level 2 drills are even TOUGHER! ;) You are a real go-getter doing Cardio Abs before it's even called for in the rotation! I added in my own (and no doubt EASIER) ab work up until now! LOL

Laura:: Good idea to alternate teaching classes with your SIL while doing Insanity. I still won't look into instructor cert b/c I highly doubt I'd be any good at memorizing the routines. I don't know how you gals do it!!! Most of the instructors at my gym teach more then one type of class too! Holy cow I'd be sooooo confused! :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Okay, gotta jet. Bringing Joey to the park for a bit and then coming home to work out before getting dinner ready. DH is working a couple hours O/T today so I won't be looking to have dinner ready quite as early as I usually do....

One more INSANITY question for Wendy ... (I have gotta get the chart for the workouts) ... (we did up to recovery disc)the next disc that we are to do is PURE CARDIO right??? I viewed it and YOWZA > >>> errrrrr no rest at all for the weary???

if that is the case ... I guess we both will do MY PLYO w/o tonight .. then tmrw SIL will do the Pure Cardio if that is what is next .. she will teach for me THURS and I will do pure cardio THURS .. :confused: .. then FRI we both can do the NEXT disc up .. although doing it this way we will not have an OFF day .. :confused::confused: but that is the only way I can swing it .. that I can figure out.. if you get a chance just let me know is Pure Cardio next ... lol .. SIL is NOT a masterminda t rotations :confused:

Just got back from the park and am downing a snack. I am thinking that I will flip-flop today and tmrw's work outs. Not in the mood AT ALL for all out cardio right now so I will do the Cardio Abs work out, a short n light endurance leg work out (probably Jackie's one on one training) and chest and back ala 4DS I think. Not in the mood for the X's C&B either. :confused: Then tmrw I can do Pure Cardio and I'll be back on track. This means skipping Cardio Recovery but that's okay. I'm not doing cardio today except for whatever short bit is in the ab work out....

I am a princess, or at least I feel like one anyway! The hour long facial was divine to say the least. I got a new color on my toes, its called black cherry. It's kind of a dark purple with a hint of deep red to it. I really like it.

Wendy-thanks for the Bday wish. Actually the warmup to the ab disc is harder than the ab routine. Shaun is all about the plyo, cardio killing stuff! Oh, and he's nice to look at too. Let me know what you think of the warmup.

Laura-Wow, you are going to be one tired and sore girl. Good luck trying to fit it all in. Take a day off when you need to...and I mean it missy.

I'm along the lines of Laura & Jen right now and have too much "stuff" to do at work to "play" alot - ran errands at lunch which is usually when I catch up.

So quickly . . . Supposed to do Step Max tonight - thinking I may sub an IMax instead? :eek: That would help prep for the Insanity askeerdness I am totally feeling right now ! :p

And if you all are really serious I would be happy to put down step by step instructions on the Smileys . . . :D It is kinda fun !

Lori - yep Wendy kinda gave it to you in the chops this AM as you dashed in and dashed out. Must I remind you that your post was at 2 AM my time so good luck getting me outta bed to post with you that early ! ! ! :eek: Size 2 huh? And that's all I'm gonna say ! LOL ! Your cardgame tonight sounds like fun ! Too bad for your housebound friend. Those attorneys are scam artists and so are the courts who allow cases to linger on costing way too much $. I dropped about $100K in my divorce and it is just absolutely ridiculous. I even stopped fighting at one point but that is just what it took not to go bankrupt and to be able to half way take care of my kids through the whole thing. Talk about Insanity ! ! ! Have a fun evening !

Not hard either but I prepped a bit last night so I could "present" to you today. Sometimes I almost feel like posting before my bedtime which is actually after midnight for many of you ladies - I could really be the first one though I'd be going to bed and you'd be getting up ! Ha ! So was Plyo Circuit an STS workout? I think I've only done 2 Plyo STS so far. Enjoy the remainder of your day - hopefully the "boys" will treat you extra special tonight !

Laura - wowie you've been getting in some great workouts. Will be interesting to see how long it takes you two to get through the Insanity discs. Thanks for the well wishes for my fur baby - the cytology tests were inconclusive but the lump is still going down and not too visible at all. It is still draining and she is lying on it alot so I'll take her in on Sat and have is lanced and cleaned out. Hope your baby does OK tomorrow too ! Do you have an end in sight for the insanity at work? Will they be rehiring?

Wendy - Well perhaps I should have just gone and picked up my discs? I'll have to check to see where they are - perhaps the LA area? Hmmmm . . . Curious, does Insanity feel like too much cardio or just that you "aren't feeling it" today? (Or want to skip rest days ! :p).

Jen - I like the idea of staying away from the scale until it's time for Insanity. So your's is coming tomorrow? Ahhhhh . . . will you be willing to start next week hoping that mine really does come in 5 - 7 days?

Diana: Sounds like you had a great afternoon! The color you chose for your toes sounds gorgeous.

Wendy: I have tracked my package and know that it is in the state! My UPS guy usually doesn't arrive until about three. Not that it matters because I'm not home anyway. I'll proobably just take in the reading material tomorrow night and then do the first workout on Thursday.

Laura: I think your class groupies might like you doing Insanity if it means you reduce the intensity of your classes a bit! Though from what you describe, that doesn't sound like your intention at all :D You evil woman ;) I think with all the working out that you do, a "diet" is the last thing you need to worry about.

Yay, it's FIVE!! Finally. Off to the market for school lunch stuff, because school finally starts tomorrow, woo hoo! My kids aren't as happy as I am though, go figure :rolleyes: BBL chicas ~

Oops, Jacque, you snuck in on me!

I was actually thinking about waiting for you to get yours before I start an official rotation so that we were on the same page throughout. What say you? I'm up for that if you are! I'll bet yours will be there sooner than you think. My original ETA was 9/7, but UPS is working much faster than that and is getting it to me 5 days early.
