Damage Control...Thursday!

Okay, I'm back. Just wanted to be sure I beat Lori here this morning. :p

So today's work out is supposed to be PCC but I'm not so sure I'm feelin' it. I may switch up to something more appealing sounding like an HiiT, a straight step w/o or an Imax. Not sure why an HiiT would sound more appealing then Shaun-it's torture just the same (LOL) but maybe just because it's a different work out. Who knows. Time will tell what I do!

I think DH and I are going to take the 'vette for a joy ride tonight w/the top down. The weather's supposed to be nice and we have an awesome route along the water we can drive. Can't wait! :cool:

Diana:: Lucky you that you had your w/o bag in the car and the meeting got rescheduled. That worked out well for you!

LOL-yup that's what I mean, girl and TRUST ME, it wasn't easy. Y'day was easier but I added in a wee bit more carbs then I had the day prior and perhaps my body was a bit more used to it by then?? Not sure. Anyway, I went to my mom's for dinner last night though and she made potatoes with dinner. I didn't do it purposely/consciously but I realized afterwards that man oh man did I INHALE those taters before I ate anything else on my plate! LOL Good job getting your w/o out in y'day!

Guess that's all for now. Thank goodness the week is coming to a close.

Good Morning!:)

I am up before anyone else....not sure why that is. We are going to the water park today so I need to get my workout in before we go. I will be doing hill repeats I think.

Well...the party was an absolute flop! Thought I had friends! I even woke up thinking about it. It was a joint party between my SIL and I and we ended up with 8 people! 8 PEOPLE???? Out of 44? Come off of it. I felt like the biggest tool known to man. I think most of the prob was that it was posted on FB and some people didn't see it and then other people probably thought b/c there were so many people invited that alot of people would be there. You have to invite 40 to get 15....obviously you have to invite more then that! Im rotted cause even people I consider friends didn't show up and they didn't even reply. My running partner only ordered one pair of earrings and then turned around and asked me if I could buy the hostess special for her??????:mad: She wanted a braclet that was $143 and I could get it for $22 but then that cuts into the cheaper stuff I get so she can whistle dixie. Anyway...the more I think about it, the more rotted I get. Even the people who said they were coming didn't show up:mad:

Yesterdays workout ended up being STS 14 and PCC!! I know! A Insanity workout and you know what? I enjoyed it!!! I haven't done one in so long that I forgot all about it.

Wendy** Are you done with low carbing it now? If you lasted this long then you did good!!! I wouldn't mind having a little car....I like cute little cars. But I also like having 4 wheel drive,especailly when its snowing out. We will see what happens, I will cross that bridge when I come to it!

Diana** Awesome results!!! Keep up the good work. By the time christmas rolls around you will be one hot mama!!! I can't believe the kids are back to school already!

Jacque** I would think that it would be a great place to buy gifts tobut apparently alot of people don't! LOL Oh well! What goes around comes around. Can you tell that I am the revenge kind of girl!! hehe!

I think DS is awake...I hear something anyway. I may bb tonight or may not until tomorrow morning!

Good morning ladies !

Awake at 3:15 - seems to be the favorite time for my brain these days ! :eek: DH has been up to get to work by 4:30 since they can only work from 6:30 - 11 AM (upitty town that will only allow them to block part of the street at that time of day!). You should hear the stories he is coming back with.

So I folded laundry, got my foffee in, swept/vacuumed the floors (birds are molting fluffy feathers and then they flap ! :mad: thus feathers flying all over the dining room and kitchen). Took me 10 min to figure out DH had so many cookies and temp internet files that I couldn't even get IE to open. Had to come to the other computer.

Workout this AM is HiiT 30/30 & Core Max.

Wendy - oooohhhhhh . . . I wanna go on your ride with you. That is why I loved my drives the other day - no top down by drove by the beaches/ocean. LOL - it is hard to eat protein only - guess that is the Atkins diet then . . . funny you inhaled the potatos first - exactly how I get too. Sounds like your energy is up if you did Imax ! Have a nice drive tonight.

Lori - What a total bummer last night was for you ! LOL at your 'revenge' plan . . . ITA that FB may not have been the best way to invite people. Don't like those that say they are coming and then don't. Happens to my DS & DIL all the time with the bday parties for the boys. Rude IMO but the world has changed for sure. Did you get your w/o in before hitting the water park? Hope you all had fun.

I'm working from home today so need to rush to get my w/o in. I'm leaning towards a step w/o, I miss them and Cathe. Imax 3 is in the back of my mind, but who knows what will actually happen when I get downstairs.

Wendy-Nice job young lady...and I remember when you said you didn't like stepping! What fun you will have tonight, enjoy! Most the carbs I eat are from fruits and veggies. I rarely eat potatoes, rice or bread. I do eat fiber one cereal for breakfast, but stick to salads at lunch and steamed veggies at dinner. I also stay away from dairy to help with my acne problem. I'm not sure it really helps though.

Lori-sorry about the poor turnout. I don't usually respond to facebook invitations. My sister sent out postcards invites for her partylite party and had 12 folks show up. Pretty rude to rsvp and not show up..I would be pissed about that for sure. The hostess rate is for you...sorry, but your friend wasn't the hostess, plus you get more stuff is she pays full price. I'm enjoying my weight/insanity rotation and will finish up mid September. Are you interested in a P90X rotation? Wendy, myself, and maybe even Jen are considering that.

Jacque-sorry you haven't been sleeping well. Have you tried using melatonin before going to bed? I have some here but haven't used them yet. Sounds like you need to do some cleanup on DH's pc or set it to delete temp files daily.

BM2 Cardio Blast completed! Burned 653 cals!!!

Not sure where I read it, but I read that you should do 80% longer cardio and 20% HIIT. The question was regarding if HIIT is so good, is it really necessary to do longer workouts. I'll check my browser history and if I find the article I send the link.

Well I had a sexual harrassment training meeting this morning for 3 hours! 9-12 which is why I haven't been around. OY. It's over now though. YAY!

Lori:: Sorry the party didnt' go as planned. Hate when that happens. It's hard to tell though how many people will show up to things like that. Even if they like the product being sold, lots of people hate those parties. I don't mind em. I view it as an excuse to hang out, be social and eat and drink with the ladies AND go shopping! How much more can a woman ask for!?!? :D Nope. Not done with the low carb yet! Since I messed it up at dinner last night I am doing it for one last day before I take a break for atleast fri/sat/sun. After that I am not sure what I'll do.

Jacque:: Hey being up at the 3am hour should feel like sleeping in to you after waking at like 1:30 so many times! :p So the weather should be perfect tonight for our car ride-70's with low humidity! YAY! Yup, I had plenty of energy for IMAX this morning after eating those taters last night! Too bad I didn't have time to finish it!

Diana:: When I eat normally it's close to the way that you eat though I will snack on some graham crackers during the day and eat oatmeal for breakfast. I also may have a sweet potato with dinner. I rarely make sandwiches anymore though and stay away from pasta. I try to get my carbs from veggies mostly and a little bit of fruit. Working from home sounds nice but I don't know if I would be disciplined enough to do it. Too many possible distractions for me I think. Glad it works for you though! Some say limiting or taking dairy out of your diet completely could potentially aid in fixing several problems including acne so it could very well be helping you. I adore dairy. I don't know if I could give it up! :confused:

Hi ladies,

My boss called a quickie meeting today, and we found out that several people have been laid off. Some of them are in the IT department but it didn't affect our team. Not fun news at all.

Wendy-Your body needs the carbs after a w/o, and oatmeal is probably the best choice. I switched to fiber one for the additional fiber and have been happy with it. In the winter I do like a nice bowl of hot oatmeal though. I've done 3 loads of laundry today and got a pedicure at lunch. It's really not that hard to work from home, and so convenient too. Dinner is in the crockpot and we will eat when I get back from a meeting at the high school. It's great....except I am missing bootcamp tonight to go to the high school fall sports parent meeting.
