Wow, my lower body is sore today from PCC. Guess that's what happens when you avoid Insanity like the plague! :p I decided that I am seriously going to try to include Insanity in my rotation 2x per week for a while. Today will probably be a Kimberly Spreen work out. I'm thinking Cardio Combat Surge but it's my perogative to change my mind so stay tuned....LOL! ;)

Laura:: Love you upcoming weekend plans. They sound PERFECT! ;) Good job with closetmax. Can't wait to hear about part 2 over the coming days! LOL How was the shower?

Diana:: I read about your BC class on FB. Glad it went well. WW is sooo not about exercise so I am actually surprised they offered any information on the subject at all. That being said, the thing about 1 and 2 pound weights doesn't surprise me at all!

Okay, gotta get moving but if you haven't seen it yet, I posted a link at the end of y'day's check in. It's an interview with Shaun T and he talks about Asuylum! :eek:

Criss Cross Cardio: first 35 minutes wearing weighted gloves.
Cardio Combat Surge: first med ball segment using 6# ball.

From w/u to c/d it took 55 minutes and my already sore core was DYING! :D
 
Woo Hoo It's Friday!!!

Had a great bootcamp class last night although I had to modifiy some of the exercises. It started off with 2 laps around the track, then 1 lap each of High knees, back pedal, butt kick, back pedal, cross overs. Then we moved to lower body circuit training using stability discs, mini steps and medicine balls and db's. The cardio segments were running stairs, jump rope, plyo jacks, and up and overs on the step (I did air jacks and jumps).

I have some nice doms in the back area from pullups/chins yesterday. I'm using my previous sts weight loads for this mesocycle and was pleasantly surprised I could do barbell curls will 41#'s.:D I should do cardio today, but will probably do STS legs instead.

I took a vacation day today, but have some work stuff I have to do this morning.:mad: It shouldn't be too bad or take too long. DH is also off and I'm hoping we can clean our carpets. If not today, then this weekend.

Has anyone heard when the new DVD's are shipping?

Wendy-I've been keeping an eye on the Insane Asylum from Sean T. Nice to hear you got some DOMs from PCC! I should probably check out KS Combat Surge..such and enabler and you weren't even trying. ITA regarding WW and exercise. They encourage walking, resistance training with 1-2#'s etc. For someone who exercises like we do, it would just be a waste of time.

Diana:: I guess WW doesn't have to encourage exercise heavily because their plan seems to work even if you don't exercise so long as you stay on track with it. I've never heard of someone NOT losing weight on a WW eating plan. Hope whatever work related things you are doing this morning get finished up quickly. Carpet cleaning? Nothing like a romantic day off w/DH, huh!? :D:p;) You are right. I was not purposely trying to enable anyone on the Spreens. What's catching your interest about Cardio Combat Surge? Just an FYI, it's comprised of 2 k/b, 2 combat and 2 med ball segments and has premixes of combat and med ball only I think. I have yet to do the entire work out as produced but I will get there! It's over an hour that way so I have to make sure I have the time.

:( has been me the last 2 days as all my hard work at work did not pay off like it should have. I think I am the first one to be the "example" at how they are trying to cut back on salaries ! :mad: The % increase is good but it put me to the 25th% which ticks me off 'cuz so many lately have been put past the 75th%, and, at this point the increase won't even cover the cost of my commute gas $. With the additional 25 - 35% hours I have been putting in I feel like I just got a 25% decrease ! Well you know the old saying "you get what you pay for?". That will be me now . . . I did talk to the bossman & President y'day and expressed my disappointment but said I'd do my best to continue moving forward with my learning. I got a promise that I'll get another salary bump when we move - boss told me afterward that he'll make sure that happens. Unfortunately my boss is the weakest of all of them and doesn't push back very hard. :confused: However, life goes on and now I'll get back to my personal life !

Wendy - I still have DOMS from the bis/tris on Monday ! Good to hear switching it up with Insanity did the same for you. That was the part I liked but my bod doesn't do the push ups for very long anymore and getting up and down doesn't work for me either. :confused: Probably once in a while like you have planned might work. I may try that again soon.

Diana - so is your knee OK with all the legwork you did last night? Hope so ! Man I can't believe you lifted so heavy with STS - I totally doubt I could do my wts from the last round - Good Job ! Hope you have a nice day off and don't work too hard. Clean carpets is something I need to do again already ! Think we may do a little refresh in the family room this weekend - at least that is what I'm gonna push for. Sharks game again on Sat - they are not doing too well yet, still under 50% wins. Maybe that will be better than being ontop all year? How are the Avs looking?

Laura - Clean clean clean. Great for you - perhaps it will motivate me ? A girl can always hope, right? ;) Sounds like a great few days you have planned . . . have fun and GOOOOOO WAAAARRRRR EEEAAAGGGLLLEEESSSS ! ! ! ! !

Lori - busy busy lady, huh? :p Hope you are still getting to do your own workouts - I found myself cutting those out rather than other things and it is not a good thing ! Pinky swear that we'll take care of ourselves first . . . one of my biggest downfalls. Seems you are kinda the same.

Okie dokie . . . time to jam to the shower and make it through another workday. And . . . guess I need to take some PTO days so I can stop losing them. Not worth it anymore ! ! !
 
Jacque:: Sorry about the raise issues. That stinks. :( I hope that additional bump in salary that was promised comes thru for you. Insanity work outs rock but they take major motivation to get through. I hope, some day, to be able to find that motivation to get through an entire rotation again but I am having way too much fun with all my other new finds to do that right now so a couple times a week will have to do for now! :D

I just finished disc 14, legs. It was tri-sets and it moved along at a quick pace. It was tough for this gal who hasn't done any leg work to speak of for almost 2 months. My legs definitely need work though, not working them has taken it's toll.:mad: I'm finding that weight training is not hurting my knee like a lot cardio does. I also did STS Stability Ball Abs.

DH just took our cable boxes back to comcast. Hopefully we will get a huge credit next month as we've been overpaying for 2 yrs. I guess we're getting new cable boxes...not sure why..something to do with HD. We have HD already, but for some reason the network the AVS play on is not in HD..for us anyway.

DS has his last football tomorrow. We are playing a top ranked team which means DS probably won't get much playing time. Pisses me off! Also, we a getting him signed up for Driver's Ed over xmas break. Yikes!

Jacque-so you got a 25% raise??? I would be in heaven. We've been getting measley 1.3-3% raises the last 5 years. It does not keep up with inflation or cover the outrageous medical insurance rates. My take home pay has gone down year over year for the last 5 years. It's a joke. Why not just work your 40hrs and let things be late. Obvioulsy they are asking you to get more done and have less time to do it. If you continue working over 40 hours your bosses will never see that they are expecting too much work and not providing the proper amount of time to be completed.

Wendy-Insanity takes major motivation for sure. I hope to have some serious leg doms tomorrow!

Wendy - I could never do another Insanity rotation - as much "fun" and intense at it was, my bod took a hit. Could have been the other stress at the time, but I just don't move from standing to floor quickly enough any more. :p Good to hear you are having fun with all your new workouts and I expect that will last for quite a while considering Cathe's new ones should be on their way soon and your Xmas list which sounds pretty lengthy ! :D

Diana - Good to hear LB weights doesn't hurt the knee. At least you feel like you can get an entire w/o. You haven't done legs for 2 months? Wow, I though I was the only one lagging lately. Guess you have been doing more cardio than wts. No my raise was not 25%, my increase put me to the 25th percentile on the salary survey. Wow did that make me feel good - like my efforts are not even up to par . . . You got it right, instead of 50 - 60 hours a week it will be 40 from here on out. And I'll stop giving up PTO days too - I've lost about 4 or 5 full days off by not taking them - I'm at the max I can "bank", 320 hours on the books. So no more get added in until I use some. Guess what - I'll be taking off next week for sure ! :p

Hope Jerod gets to play more than you are assuming at this point. And, you're like us, our local cable company doesn't have the option of watching the Sharks . . . we need to go satelite - still trying to get DH to take care of that one ! :mad: Listened on the radio last night. Would have made him take me out but I had a headache and fell asleep early.
