Damage Control ~~~ TGIF!! 7/24

Good Morning darlings!! :D

Soooo happy it's Friday! This morning I did PLB standing leg exercises, no cardio. These pyramids are fryin' me. I think tomorrow will be a rest day.

Diana: Those Insanity workouts sound aptly named :eek: I'm not surprised at all that you'd be interested in those :p;)

Laura: Is today your anniversary? Or yesterday? Either way, hope you and DH have a great weekend.

Jacque: I've learned to embrace my OCD :p And the people at the office are starting to accept it, too ;) I've been wearing the GWF with short sleeves. Everyone has inquired, I tell them it's a fancy pedometer, and that's the last that it's talked about. My boss actually joked that maybe everyone in the office should get one and we can have a step competition. Not sure she sold the others on it, but I thought it was a fun idea! Anyway, don't let that hold you back.

So it's end of month and I have a few things I need to get done, but otherwise the boss is out of the office for the most part today, so I'll bbs for sure!

Morning ladies !

No workout to report this AM but wanted to shout out HAPPY FRIDAY ! ! ! :D

Jen - I'm caving in here. I don't really want the questions at work since I already get the "oh look how skinny you are - you can eat anything you want" or "look at Jacque being good again". Most of them either don't eat, eat just junk or are chunky and I have just been around them way too long. I'll figure something out though. Already dreaming up a skin toned "sleeve" to cover it ! Ha ha, kidding but did think about it ! :p Well I did do the Pyramid last night because you reminded me of it. You reminded me that they cut out the standing leg work. Perhaps I'll do that today before my cardio. Hoping I have the gumption to do a 6 mile run again today to try to combat the Festival this weekend just in case I am a "bad girl". :rolleyes:

Wendy - I did check out the website and you receive the set for $250 and commit to a year's online subscription but that cost is in addition to the $250. At amazon it is $260 for the set and you get 3 months free subscription. I figure that is a $10 savings and I know it's free shipping on Amazon if you can wait a few days. Not sure about the GWF website's shipping costs. By the end of 3 months I'll know if I want to continue the subscription or if the display will allow me to track my own stats and whether I really need the graphs or not. Then I'd probably do the 6 month or 12 month subscription from there. So I am a bit worried you weren't here first this AM cuz by the time I get here it is nearly 9 AM for you? Hope all is well with you.

And so when I'm taking a walk for an hour every day or wearing an armband, I can practically see them rolling their eyes :rolleyes: That's why I don't tell them exactly what it is...to them it's just a fancy pedometer and I just want to encourage myself to move. For some reason, that doesn't seem unreasonable to anyone. I've also said the reason I walk everyday is to help control stress! As long as they don't think I'm doing it to lose weight, nobody thinks what I do is crazy :p
 
Hi Ladies,

Yes HAPPY FRIDAY to all!!!! I am so sore this morning. Bootcamp was so tough last night, lots of running, hill running, pushups, situps etc. Our class was being filmed and will show on our city station at some point. I can feel my back from PUB and assist. pullups. I actually took some ibuprofen this morning.

I slept so good last night....finally. No workout to report for this morning. Lunch is a date with a co-worker who moved to another building...shouldn't be any problem keeping it clean at the deli we are meeting at. However, I'm supposed to go out with DH and some of his work friends tonight for Mexican food. Not sure what's healthy their and I will say I plan on having a margarita or mojito...at least one.:)

Jacque-You shouldn't let others keep you from doing what you want. You work hard and the others are just lazy or jealous. I do understand about it though but be strong!

Jen-I've really been struggling with running and bootcamp was a lot of running last night. Lots of suicides-from the 0-20yd line and back, then to 30 and back, 40 and back, 50 and back. Oh....and we did this 3 times! I will probably spring for Insanity this weekend.

Jacque-Congrats on your CATHLETE status!!! I too had to start over at square on when the new website launched. I was quite annoyed at the time but quickly got over it. Glad your hair turned out great. Compliments are all good!!

Lori-Where are you missy? Hope all is going well with you and you are looking forward to your race on Sunday.

Jen-There is a guy I work with who has been wearing the body bugg for a couple of months. He said he never got into tracking his food though. He's a muscle head and loved that I encouraged him to add a little cardio now and then. He said, cardio is just so hard!

Wendy-you must be working this morning or we would've heard from you by now. Hope you are having a great day!

Laura-you could be off on another one of your long weekends...Happy Anniversary!

Hola Chicas!

Took me long enough to get here today! Jeez. :rolleyes:

Yesterday I did SS Shape It Up and CLX Fat Burn Challenge back to back. It was fun! :D

Today called for Firm It Up which I did before dinner and I just got back a few minutes ago from a brisk 40 minute walk. I must have walked 2 miles if not a little more. I'm happy.

Tomorrow will be Mix It Up and another short (20-30 minutes) cardio of choice I think.

Jen:: Thanks for the GWF "push" though I rarely need one once I set my mind on a fitness purchase. ;) Good job on the PLB standing work today. That's a tough work out. I find myself doing PUB far more often the PLB. :p
Anything fun planned for this weekend? DS is sleeping at my mom's tmrw night so that we can go out to dinner with another couple. DH has known and been friends with them since he was about 15 years old.

Diana:: My friend from the cheetah thread said she'd probably join in this coming week I believe. She's been busy but intended to pop in after her life settled a bit. So exactly HOW close are you to ordering Insanity? As close as I am to ordering a GWF? ;) So what did you have to drink at dinner tonight? Mohitos are yummy! I am not a margarita girl though if you gave me one I don't think I'd turn it down! :p

SS is primarily endurance weights with short cardio spurts here and there. Some work outs have more cardio then others but none of them have enough for me to say "I got in cardio today" if that's all I do. Congrats on your new posting status! I never got my old moniker back when the new website launched either and look at how many posts I already have! :eek:

K, that's all until morning. DS and I need to have a snack before he goes to bed and then DH are going to have a couple of beers and play a game or something. Should be fun. :)
