Good Morning!:)

I am hoping WENDY see's this thread today.....LOL. Poor thing, you must have had sleep in yours eyes yesterday morning!:p

O.k...so I am finally feeling like I am getting in the Christmas spirit...anyone else? I was stressed for a while b/c I was behind and even though I don't have much more done, I don't feel stressed anymore. This week is going to be a busier one!:eek: If I don't gain weight this week then I never will. I have my cookie exchange supper on Tues night,my work party on Fri night and DH's work party on Sat night. As usual for this time of year the number on the scale keeps getting lower. I think its weird that 5 lbs can make such a difference. If I were 125 my pants would be snug, I am now 121 and my pants are falling off of me and I don't really like it. Anyway....after Dec 25th that will all settle down.

I don't have anyone to train this morning so I get to spend some time with ME! Im going to do cardio and LB high reps. I am looking forward to it. I really enjoyed UB High Reps. I do have 2 training sessions later today. I hardly even know what to do with one lady anymore. She whines that the scale isn't moving but admits to eating candy and chips for supper:mad: What do I do about that? She knows deep down...she as to. Then my other friend who wanted to lose 12 lbs my Christmas :)confused:) is on a roll. She as been losing 2 lbs a week pretty much. I have been doing circuit work with her and working her hard. Yesterday I had her doing squats into squat jumps, then lunges into split jumps...her poor legs were on fire.

It was quiet here yesterday...Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Ok, I'm back.

So as I had said in my lonely thread y'day :p, I did 4DS Legs/KB/Core. I went heavy and really don't have any DOMS to speak of yet again! What's up with that!? STRANGE!

Today the rotation only calls for 4DS Bootcamp cardio. I'd like to add on one of the Jillian 6 week/6 pack segments to it. This is my plan.

This afternoon we are heading north for a little pre-Christmas celebration with FIL and his gf. They do not spend holidays together since they have their own families they want to be with so we GTG with them every year before Christmas to celebrate with her. DH's sisters will also be there. It'll be a nice afternoon I am sure.

So we got a "big boy bed" for Joey. We took DH's nephew's old twin bed. DH brought it home after work y'day and Joey was ecstatic! Sooooo excited! It was very cute. :) Knowing this was the plan, I ordered him a Transformers sheet set w/comforter for Christmas. Right now he is using his old blanket (which is really an unzipped sleeping bag but he took a liking to it!) and sheets that my SIL gave us with the bed since she doesn't need them anymore. Hopefully he loves the new stuff. He is a Transformers nut so he should! LOL

Diana:: I cook, but it's usually under protest. LOL And I don't get creative at all. I cook basic meals that include a protein, carb and veggie. That's usually it. Very rarely do I go for a new recipe. Can't be bothered. DH likes to grill once in a while too. Makes it easier for me so I let him do it. I just make simple sides and my job is done. It's usually the protein that is the most work or takes the longest anyway. He will cook entire meals too if he is home from work at a normal time. That is the best. I will come home and dinner will be minutes away from being on the table! Unfortunately though, with his overtime as of late, this hasn't been happening. *sigh*

Lori:: IKWYM about very little weight making a big difference but I only find that on the GAINING side. Seems to take more a of a LOSS to make a difference for me. :confused: Actually though, the scale has been up up up lately and, unlike when I tried doing STS, it's not affecting me negatively. It's odd. I like what I see in the mirror (I've been seeing IMPROVEMENT despite the scale!!!) and my clothes still fit fine or a little loose a lot of the time!!! WIERD but I'll take it! Yes, Joey is excited for Christmas. I am getting there too but our tree is still not up. No decorations at all yet. How sad is that!? :rolleyes::eek::eek:

Hey Girls!

As anyone done the HR UB premix yet? I did it yesterday and am POSITIVE that I didn't do any back work. I thought that back may have been with the legs premix but still no back work. I previewed and I know I have never seen it before. The only thing I may have done is skipped it when I skipped the warm up. I didn't need to do the warmup b/c I had done cardio before. I was going to do back but I had to rush to work for something that never paned out.

So....my workout was 2.5 miles on the TM (22 mins) and 23 mins on the bike, then HR LB premix. Im not sure if I will get DOMS from that workout....I guess I will have to wait and see.

Wendy** We bought a twin bed for DS right away b/c I didn't want to bother with the toddler bed. I think his bed is called a "tri" bed (not sure why) but there is another bed in under it that pulls out. We bought 2 mattress's to go with it. We pull the bottom one out in the night time just in case he falls out of the bed. Its also useful for when he is sick and we have to sleep with him. Hope you have a good day with the fam and get those decorations up!! Before you know it christmas will be here!!!

Good morning ladies !

Well I didn't check in y'day cuz I didn't do a workout . . . :eek: (I do admit I read Wendy's thread and missed Lori's since I trusted Wendy! :rolleyes: LOL). Did get a couple things done - did some personal finance stuff and planted some winter crops in the garden after I cleaned it up a bit. Then Sharks game last night - yippee we beat one of the top teams from last year ! Barely, but I'll take it. :p

HR is on tap so will do this AM. After seeing y'all post about it, course Lori did UB then LB so saw it twice from her . . . it sounds like a goodie.

Lori - I'm still not planning on decorating for Xmas . . . got a couple of poinsettia plants at OSH y'day . . . but smelled the Xmas tree at the credit union and it had me toggling as I 'lurve' me the smell of Xmas tree when I come home. May run out today and get a small one ? ? ? :eek: Sounds like the kids will be down at some point and DS1 & GS's might not get one since they are moving on 12/18. Decisions, decisions. Good to hear you got loose pants (course you do lots of cardio - perhaps that should be a hint to me?;)) and that you are feeling better about Xmas getting accomplished.

Wendy - LOL is all I can say . . . ;) Fun for Joey and his new bed - I'm sure he'll love his new bed ensemble. I remember my step son (who is now 33) was a Transformers fanatic. Funny how they have come back around. Even DH loves it and we saw Transformers II and missed my Harry Potter last go round!:mad: Have you done Jillian's 6/6 yet? They seem to be long, 30 min each - so do you do portions or the whole segment? Have a great time with the IL's tonight.

Diana - sounds like the work week went OK for you. IKWYM about people not wanting to change their software. We switched to a manufacturing system and the 'old timers' still groan about it 4 years later - they refuse to use it to it's capabilities. I'm living proof that OLD DOGS CAN LEARN NEW TRICKS ! :p Life must be about flexibility, right? Hope you get your full workout in today and find everything you need during your shopping spree. Will you be able to let us know how things go tomorrow or will we be waiting until Tues? GO AVS ! ! ! Way to kick the Caps ! ! !

Laura - what did I miss about Auburn? Was it on FB? Hope your weekend is relaxing after last week at work.

4DS bc cardio only DONE

me...sucking wind, exhausted and...you guessed it...DONE! :eek::D;)

It was awesome! Jillian's work out was incredibly intense. WOW! And having to tackle BC right after it made it even more intense! AWESOME work out. Looking forward to my rest day tmrw. When do I EVER say that!?!?! :eek:

Hi Ladies,

Well I ended up not working out yesterday as planned. DS1 and I went to Kohl's and did some xmas shopping. I also went to work for a few hours trying to finish some stuff up since I will be out for so long. One of my coworkers invited me out for karaoke and DH and I went to that. Although I didn't sing, the rest of the folks in our group did...even DH. It was pretty fun but we didn't stay out too late.

Today will be original BM so I can hit all bodyparts and cardio to boot. Actually, when I had my last surgery on my foot..I did this very same workout the morning of my surgery. Being I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am, I'm not working out in the morning. I probably won't be able to check in tomorrow. DH is staying home all day and he will make sure I don't do anything. If I had my laptop, then I could. My laptop should be ready in a couple days and one of my boys will go pick it up for me.

I'm really stressed out thinking of everything that needs to get done today. It's not like I'll be totally out of commission, but not being able to drive for 2 weeks at this time is not going to be fun. I'm sure my kids and DH will not want to be bothered hauling me around everywhere.

Lori-I haven't tried any of the premixes on the new w/o's yet. Sorry you missed back, hopefully you just skipped it and its not a defect on the w/o. I did not get DOMs from HR either. I actually think Power Hour is harder. Did you explain to your trainee that exercise is just one facet of the weight loss process? Managing the food intake is just as important if not more so. It's easy for me to say since I struggle with it, but it is a work in process. Glad you are back in the xmas spirit and not so stressed out.

Wendy-Nice w/o! My boys got full size beds when they turned 1. They were literally climbing out of the crib at 9 mos. and I was so freaked out about. I would rather they fall from a bed height than over the top of their crib. We just them in the middle of the bed with pillows on each side of them. Joey will love his new transformer sheets, all boy he is!!!:) Have fun with the inlaws!

Jacque-you don't have to do a workout to checkin with us, silly girl. Is DS moving to Arizona, or just a bigger apartment nearby? Did he get the promotion/raise he wanted. If so, at least it's working out for someone. It's so hard for kids these days to move out and get started living on their own. DH and I bought our first house when we were 24. Oh yeah, the avs have been doing pretty good lately.

Laura-Is the dirty santa party tonight? It sounds like a ton of fun. Hope you are enjoying your weekend lady!

Lori:: Ok girl. You need to start keeping up with the forum goings on outside of your check ins! If you did, you would know that the topic of no back in the HR upper only premix has been beaten ALMOST to death! :p It was left out purposely. If you want back in a u/b premix of HR then do the Full work out-u/b first premix and just stop when Cathe moves on to lower body. :)

Diana:: My son was always an excellent sleeper and a bit of a chicken. He never tried to climb out of his crib so we were able to leave him in it longer. I was worried when we moved him to a toddler bed b/c he was going to have the freedom to get up as he pleased and I didn't know what he would do! :confused: Thankfully he never got into any trouble. PHEW. Sorry you are stressing about what needs to get done today but remember that your boys are there to help you so let them! ;)

Jacque:: Yeah so I didn't have my glasses on y'day morning I guess! LOL You should know better then to trust me w/that! :p Yup, Jillian's work outs are 30 mins a piece. It's a good mix of cardio, core and abs. It's killer. Definitely what you would think of as a cardio/ab/core circuit. Not just a bunch of crunches and the like.
 
Hi again ladies !

Well HR done except for ab work. Perhaps I'll attempt Jillian's #1 workout later or in the AM. Am behind in the Dec rotation having taken half the week off - but . . . my back is feeling better. Today when deadlifts came up I did supermans. Will see if I can strengthen my core (have been a really bad girl on that front for months ! :eek:) and maybe my back will heal enough so I can return to deadlifts. Everytime I do them, even with 20 - 30 lbs it ends up being too sore. You'd think I would learn, huh? :rolleyes:

Wendy - sounds like a great workout doing BC after Jillian. Guess so if you're taking a rest day tomorrow! Aha, that is what happened . . . I wondered why Lori said that cuz I did back this AM . . .

Diana - good job getting your shopping done y'day . . . I have to say that the guys may not want to cart you around, however, haven't you done it for all of them in the past? Time for them to return the favors (which I know they'll never catch up) and for 2 weeks they should be able to handle it so you can do what you need to ! Don't let them take advantage of you missy ! DS1 and family are just moving across the apartment complex. His district mgr didn't want him to leave so he said he needed a 10% raise and got it ! Yes ma'am, someone around here is doing well for sure. I'm happy that he is so DIL can stay home with the boys - they are very lucky. Soon they should be able to start saving for a home, though in CA it is quite expensive ! So here is me . . . :D My kids will all still be close for now. Woo Hoo. Good thoughts for tomorrow - we'll be waiting for a report come Tues then.

Hi ladies,

BM original completed! My foot was killing me by the third interval section but I managed to finish it. Love the upper body in this workout too. As far as workouts after my surgery, I will have to stick to upper body only for a bit. I'm leaning towards the GS w/o, or other upper body splits so I can try to w/o every day and lets not forget core work. Of course, DH won't let me do anything while he is here so it will probably be a few days before I do anything.

Wendy-thanks for the tip on HR. I too didn't know that back was left out of the UB premix. Oh, I just checked out Jillian's ab workout and think I need to order it. If they have it at target I will pick it up there.

Jacque-I would love a 10% raise, basically that's what the promotion I want would give me. That's not happening this year. Glad DS was able to get the raise and stay in town, and allow his wife to stay home with the kids. We didn't have that opportunity when my kids were little, it took all we had with both of us working just to get by. We managed, but it was quite stressful as I've mentioned before.

Off to run errands.
 
Hey Girls,

While I was out, I picked up two Jackie Warner DVD's-Crunch Free xtreme abs and Power Circuit training and Jillians Shred it with weights. I was looking for Jillians 6 weeks to 6pack abs but they didn't have that one. I don't think DH and I are exchanging gifts, but will give him the option to give them to me for xmas.

Spidey webs (that I could see) are gone and floors/carpet vacuumed - bird cages de-pooped ! Garden de-deaded some more and I'm tired of workin' round the house for now! :p

Diana - sounds like a couple of good DVD's you picked up. Jillian's is cheapo on Amazon - let DH know . . . course if you want free shipping you'll need one or two more . . . ;) :p :rolleyes: Good job with BM outta the way. What will your restrictions be? If you can't do weight bearing, there are still some floor exercises/lying band work you could do for LB . . . :p ITA with DH that you should take a few days off regardless of how you feel. Let your body use it's strength to heal first, then work it out ! Woo Hoo I'm so jealous you are off for so long but happy for you that some good is planned with the healing too !
