Damage Control on Friday....Insane or what?

Good Morning Girls.

Well even after last night's dinner and a half a glass of wine when I got home my weight is holding as of this morning! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Today's work out will be some speedy f/b work out plus CC&B or a run. Tmrw will be whatever cardio option I did not choose today and then Sunday is my rest day.

Lori:: My mom made lasagna. Not the healthiest or lowest cal meal on the planet but at least nothing was FRIED!:p When I make italian dishes I use low fat cheeses, etc but not my mom. I saw the whole milk mozzerella she used in the fridge! It was good though and I had her serve me on a smaller plate to control portion size. I guess it worked. As for the wine...I have no excuse...that was all me! :rolleyes: How nice that DH popped in on you at work last night. Don't let him make a habit of it though or else we'll never hear from you! :D

That's all for now. Workin' this morning so I'll be back this afternoon to see what's goin' on!

Oh my GOODNESS! I was soooo tired last night. My boss called around 9'ish and wanted to know what was on the go and I told him nothing. Then it all fell apart after that. I had a couple of flights and of course one of them had a mechanical problem and was there until I left. They were ready to go by for but I took off before they even did:eek: When i was in bed I could hear the plane flying over. Needless to say, I didn't hear anyone on the move this a.m. Then the stupid phone woke me up and even though I wasn't ready to get up, I couldn't get back to sleep. Im not sure if I will be able to push out 2 workouts like I want to.

Its cold here today so I won't be running with DS. Im thinking about doing an Insanity workout and maybe a run later, hills and intervals.I don't want to push it off to late though b/c I won't have any energy.

Wendy** Have a good day at work! Good girl and keeping that portion small. I finally found some wine that I liked:)

Good Friday Morning Ladies !

Man what a quick week. Tonight we're heading to a hockey game so thinking I'll just grab a quick sandwich at work rather than come home and leave early so I can hopefully get my workout in. Won't have Sunday to catch up this week since DS1 is moving that day. I guess that will be a workout of sorts since we are moving an entire upstairs apt. - though the new one is downstairs thank goodness.

Wendy - great idea with the smaller plate - lasagne sounds scrumptious. I usually do it a couple times during the cold winter but am not a fan of that much pasta at once. Well let me take that back - I am a fan but my metabolism tends to rebel ! :p Here and there doesn't hurt though. Hope you have a good day at work and great workout.

Lori - How sweet that DH brought the Garmin to you and stayed for a while. I was thinking that it must be kinda cool to have a job that pays where you don't have to work much ! ;) Have a sweaty warm workout to beat the cold.

Just finished my work out. Opted for 30 Day Shred (level 2) at the last minute. Short but tough! ;)

Gotta get cleaned up a bit and head out to pick up DS. I'll be back a bit later though! :)
 
OMG, I am so glad it's Friday! It has been a heck of week here at work.

This morning I was doing PCC and Jerod called me upstairs to help him with something (interrupting my w/o which the boys know not to do). I get upstairs and he can't get his homework (due today of course) to print out. After messing with it for 5 or so min I couldn't either:mad: Why didn't he ask last night when I had 4 hours to work on the stupid printer!!!:mad: It was 8:20 and I told him to go to school without it, that it wasn't my problem he didn't have his $hit together the night before like I've told him a million times.

Then I get to work and have to deal with an unpleasant co-worker. I was feeling pretty unpleasant myself so I had no problem getting in her face.

I did go down and finish my workout though! Only 6 more workouts until the recovery week. I'm just going to try to bang them out without taking a day off. I hate that Sunday is a rest day as that is a good day for me to w/o.

I'm heading to the rec ctr for some heavy leg work. I'm sure I won't be able to go as heavy as I was before. I'm feeling pretty soft all over from lack of weight training. Not a good feeling. Oh, and to make matters worse, I was up 1.2# at my weigh in this week. I'm back to increasing my water as that seems to work well for me..and is easy enough to do.

Wendy-I love lasagna. Nice job keeping the portion under control! I've only done 30 day shred once, need to pull that one out again at some point.

Lori-Sorry to hear you didn't have a good night at work..and then to be woke up by the phone. Maybe you could turn the phone off, is that an option? For some reason, I seem to recall reading that my garmin doesn't work inside, even to just track calories, like the polar hr monitor.

Jacque-I really want to go to the Oct. 1st Avs game, Joey Sakic retirement ceremony etc. I have a huge CC bill after buying the new computer, then my car broke down...I would feel really guilty spending the money. I bet you are so glad that DS is moving closer.;)

Hi Girls:)

Im still feeling o.k...although it is 5 o'clock and I am having a coffee! I never do that but I have a feeling DH isn't going to be on time for dinner so I figured I should get something to tie myself over. We are having takeout tonight. He wanted KFC but after the last experience I said "no way" I seen a flyer last night at work for bbq chicken pizza...and thats what I want...and what I want, I get:D;)

So I did PC again, CA and GS B,S&B. I guess b/c I was tired my weights felt like they weighed a cazillion pounds!

Jacque** I love my job for the simple reason that it is very laid back. I never have that much work to do that I can't get it done. BUt I have enough things to keep me busy. I don't really like working the night shift by myself but I do enjoy going in and knowing that there is no one around to talk to me and I can catch up on my Cathe time. Moving stuff is a workout IMO. Just remember to squat when you are picking things up:) Enjoy your night. I have a feeling DH may be having a drink or two tonight, he as had a rough week.

Wendy** Good job with your workout. What are your plans for this weekend?

Diana** I hate it when people interupt my workout! They have caught on through out the yrs and they know that I am not going to answer the phone when I am working out. It irritates DH but to bad.
Your reaction to DS is the same reaction I would have had to DD. She often puts things off till the last minute. She will do nothing all weekend and then Sunday night she might have 5 hrs of homework:mad:

So I set my friend up on a plan..not sure if I was telling you guys. Told her what workouts to do and what day. And I also wrote up a nice few meals for her with the cals and told her what calorie range she needed. She came her to weigh in today and she lost almost 5 lbs in one week. Im assuming she did what she was told cause with this girl you never know. Her and her DH are also going through some stuff right now , so I don't know how much she actually ate. They have had trouble for yrs cause she isn't happy and he is in denial about her not being happy. I wonder sometimes how long something can be dragged out for? Its been 5 yrs already and she says that she feels nothing for him while he is still in love with her. They have 3 kids and a beautiful home and worries about money but I guess if you aren't happy, it means nothing. Hopefully she doesn't make some wrong choices but in the meantime I have no advice for her anymore. Ive said anything that I could say.

Hello Ladies.

I was just perusing around Collage Video and ended up ordering 2 Kelly Coffey dvds. She comes highly recommended and I had intended on ordering a couple of her work outs eventually but er...well...heheh...I just couldn't resist. Thought they might be good options for month 2 of Insanity. ;) If I have the energy for add-ons that is. :eek: I ordered 30 minutes to fitness and 30 minutes to fitness: muscle definition. They are both weight lifting but different from one another. :)

Lori:: Work wasn't fun but it's not as if I expect it to be! LOL So are you going to indulge in that wine tonight? :) I am tired today too. Definitely didn't get enough sleep last night though not nearly as deprived as those other 2 nights thank goodness! :eek: That's sad about your friend. :( One of my friends on FB has this as his quote on his profile: "Life is too short to be unhappy" and he is absolutely right! She needs to move on I think. She's given it more then enough time to make sure it's what needs to be done. It's not healthy for anyone if she sticks around. It'll be sad for the kids but they will bounce back and if he is a good father, his bond with his kids will not weaken due to the separation.

Jacque:: Hope the hockey game is fun! ENJOY! I *heart* italian food in general. Anything with pasta, cheese and sauce is like heaven to me. That being said, I don't eat it that often. :( On the rare occassions that I cook italian, I always use the lower fat options and eat very small portions. It's almost not worth it for me but my husband is Italian and enjoys the food so I gotta do it once in a while you know? :confused:

Diana:: I guess there are times that kids just don't wanna listen no matter how many times you tell them the same thing over n over again. I thought it was just my son cause he is famous for that but apparently it's not just him and may not stop just cause he gets older. Great. Now I have something to look forward to! :confused: LOL So instead of trying to do Insanity straight through, why not just shift your rotation by a day so that you have Mondays off instead? I did not start the rotation on the day it told me too either. I am actually starting Month 2 on a Monday but with the extra day I will add in again for a run (God, I hope I can handle it! LOL), I will be off track in the first week. No biggie. It's all gettin' done no matter what! :)

Thanks for listening to the rant earlier. I'm so lucky that you girls have my back when I'm having a terrible day!

So, I finally made it to the rec ctr today and did some heavy leg training. I did my usual and was surprised I could still squat 115#'s. It was pretty heavy and I was struggling a bit on the last set...but I made it through. I finished with a nice ab workout too.

Lori-You are the w/o queen today! Well it sounds to me like your program is working for your friend. Sorry to hear she isn't happy in her marriage. Has she considered counseling? Not sure that will help if she really doesn't love him anymore.
