**Damage Control** October

Good Morning Ladies.

Well y'day's double header was TOUGH but I did it! I think tho that the challenge was harder then the work out! Go figure! :p

I actually kept track of my numbers and times y'day. I don't often do that! Since I did though I will post them...

BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv (If you really want more work out):: Part 1- timed sets of a combo side lunge/push up exercise. I did the 12 sets in 5:09 mins...Part 2- intervals so nothing to keep track of....Part 3- timed sets of backward lunge w/sandbag & kick up combo. I did the 50 sets in 6:07 mins.

BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv (Do it Do it Exercise Challenge):: Max sets of 10 sandbag squats and 10 reverse push ups that can be done in 12 mins. I completed 9 sets which is 90 reps of each. My arms were more fried then ever before after this one!:eek:

So the whole thing took less then 30 minutes and kicked my azz. Now that's what I'm about!;):D Surprisingly enough though I am not sore today. Well, not yet anyway! I really thought I'd wake up walking funny or not being able to lift my coffee cup but so far I'm ok! Go figure!

Today is my rest day. It's over due. I worked out 8 days in a row! :eek: Got to sleep in til 5:30 this morning and considered pushing it to 6am! LOL

Diana:: MIC. Holy cow! I've only braved it a few times and it's been a while but one can not forget the experience! That's for sure! :eek: Yup, the roman chair and the dip station exercises for abs are pretty much exactly the same as far as I can tell.

Good Morning Ladies,

I got myself up at 5:30am for my workout....CCC this morning. Getting back on track with the earlier w/o's. I was doing great until DH went on vacation and it's time to get back on track. My weight is still up but I'm making a conscious effort to get it off. I don't like this extra fluff on my belly-yuck!

My lunch w/o will either be running/elliptical (depends on the weather), or hvy leg training..just can't make up my mind. There is some definition in the hamstrings starting to show..Yay! I've been doing some glute specific work and its starting to make a difference. Hip lifts with 50#, pizza press with 10# or 12# in the crook of my knee etc. Now I'm thinking I need more cardio to lose the weight...really I need to just keep my pie hole shut as Lori would say.:p

I'm seeing a chiropractor this morning. My shoulder is still sore and its affecting my neck and back too. Had my blood work done last week and should get my results later this week. It was at a work sponsored health fair.

Wendy-Nice job on the BR w/o's. How are the reverse pushups with the dip station? I love the sandbag squats. I improvise with a kettlebell but love getting super low like she does. Obviously I use a much lower weight than what I normally squat with, but it seems to be lifting the backside if you know what I mean.

Laura-Did you get all your chores done yesterday?

MON - UGH

OK .. so I was sorta lzy bum ystdy - they had AWESOME scary movies on LMN - so I watched movies as I cleaned .. man my floors have been NEGLECTED .. they needed it soooo bad - got some new Bath and Body wallflower scents - one is LEAVES - crisp autum smell - the other is Firside Marshmellow - UMMMMM ok it smells so good but makes me hungry .. that one may have to go .. LOL!!! My arms and core were not sore ystdy - but today my arms are!! I am going to make my own BR combo w/dip station to do every morning - :D - IF I can get used to getting @$$ outta bed early again!! LOL

Wendy - WTG on the w/o /// I was surprised how much the ABS on the station works your arms .. my arms give out b-4 my abs do .. :eek: ... I am loving it!!!

Di - the dip station put the reverse pushups at a different angle than the Cathe bar .. prbly would be good to do BOTH to hit different areas of the muscles!! the dip station is LOTS better than the chairs .. yikes .. surprised me for sure!!

Hello to Lori and Jacque -

Tonight is circuit class - think I am gonna do mish mosh of step, plyo and burpees!! I need to get back to the gym and do heavy legs once or twice a week - I can tell i have lost some definition. I cant wait for the new DVD's - I have not got my shipping notice yet :( but I dont think I did last time either .. ??? I know it is ordered tho .. so will wait patiently w/baited breath!!! :eek: :D have a great one!;)
 
Laura:: Yup the dip station sure does work your arms while doing the hanging ab moves! So did the chair substitute but my hands would hurt so much that they would give out before my arms did! I actually found a pretty good way to cushion my hands towards the end which helped but dragging the kitchen chairs in and out of the work out room, etc was a pita so that didn't last long despite finding a way to make it more comfortable! :p As for the shipping notice for the Cathes, you will only get one if you chose UPS as your shipper. They don't send one for USPS orders. Even some UPS shipping notices will fall through the cracks though so don't despair either way! Your work outs will come soon!!!!:D I am hoping mine are there waiting for me later!;)

Wendy - Zuzana and Freddie posted that they are seperating - and they are getting a new host for BodyRock :confused: :mad: UMMMMMMM sorry not gonna be the same ... wish Zuzana would put out her own DVD of Body Rock segments - sounds like the split was amicable .. but then again .. of course they would have to say it was even if it werent to keep the viewers .. but DANG!!!!! I hate that ..

It seems Freddie owns the rights to bodyrock.tv .. sooooooo ???? Hate to tell him the draw was Zuzana .. NOT HIM:confused:

I need to go and make a workout log of my fav exercises JIC .. I dont think this new host will be anything near like Zuzana .. she just exudes strength and grace and power and dare I say perfection ... UGH .. sad :(

No DVDs yet .. dang it .. but ya you are right .. think I get them thru post office .. maybe tmrw!!!! :D
 
Good Morning Girls.

So as predicted my Cathe's were waiting for me when I got home y'day. I was excited and wanted to try something this morning but I slept in and now I have no time. :( Oh well, I guess I needed the sleep? :confused:

Tomorrow though for sure!!!! Unless I skip the after work glass of wine tonight and work out instead. Hah! Fat chance!:p

Hi Ladies,

I crashed and burned last night and a struggling getting up this morning. I have time for a short w/o before DS's Dr. appt though. It will be some kind of cardio/abs for today.

The weather here is turning....expecting 6-8" of snow tomorrow. That's also when my dvd's are scheduled for delivery. I'm hoping Cathe's Nov rotation will utilize the new Low Impact Series.

Wendy-Enjoy your rest day. This will be a rest day for me if I don't go get something started.

Laura-Bad news about Freddie and Zuzana. I did see they were getting a new host....naturally assumed guest host. No one can compare to Zuzana.

Hey - last night - did a circuit mish mosh w/plyo and burpees and core work .. YIKES .. I am DOMSing bad this morning ... back and core!! OUCH.. had a packed class .. :eek: :D I was HOPING i would have my Cathe workouts .. but not yet .. DANG IT .. hoping and keeping fingers crossed I will get them today maybe!!

Wendy - I am jealous - I want MY DVD's - my FL friend did Afterburn today she said it was AWESOME .. and a sweat fest .. I CANT WAIT .. I am bummed about Zuzana .. BR wont be the same

DI - SNOW???? EEEEEEK!!! Are you KIDDING ME??? WOW ... it is to get up to 79 today ... but it is still in the 40's at night ... I wear a leather jacket in morning .. and short sleeves by afternoon!!! UGH ... I was thinking same thing about the BR host .. was thinking TEMP or FILL IN .. NOT PERM .. she is NO ZUZANA .. think that site will go down now!! Zuzana really should produce her own DVD's .. I would buy them .. would love a compilation of SHORTER kickarse workouts!!!

OK .. so tonight is mish mosh class .. I may do 4 step torture instead .. just for fun!!! LOL

Any Halloween plans??? I should get my costume today ... I am gonna be a VAMPIRESS ... complete w/funky black and red wig :eek: :confused: I tried on one wig .. I AM NOT MEANT TO BE BLACKHEADED > YIKES .. you talking about ugly .. ugh!!! Oh well that is sort of the point isnt it!~ LOL

Good Morning Ladies,

Well it's still snowing and will the rest of the day. There isn't much accumulation yet but they've brought the totals down for my area to 4"-8". It was in the mid 60's on Monday and 50's yesterday. Hopefully we won't lose any tree branches.

My new dvd's should be delivered today!;):D UPS doesn't deliver til late afternoon, but I should be able to preview and pick one out for tomorrow mornings w/o.

Wendy-This BR w/o looks right up my alley! The front/back lunges really make me sore in S90 so I know those are definitely good for me. I saw the halloween pics you posted on FB....ooohh and Joey asleep with his dog, too cute!

Laura-we don't do much for halloween anymore...boring I know. Are you and DH going to a Halloween Party? You'll have to post pics of your costumes! Amanda posted some pics of the girls at the pumpkin patch, they are so cute. I will ask her to tag me in some of them so all my friends can see how beautiful they are.

Working from home today, time to get logged in. Not sure what/or if I will get a w/o in today.

Well .. I had a great class last night - a real sweat fest - did circuits of jacks, KB swings, light plyo, paper plate leg work, UB work then core plank work .. :eek: :D .. Today is forced rest day - no class - getting hair done after work!!! It needs it ...

Wendy - TWO whole rest days .. WOW .. have you got your DVD's yet??? Do report when you do one!

Di - I got mine ystdy - I had a bunch to do last night when I got home .. so havent previewed them .. may try to get arse out of bed FRI morning and get one done!!! :) going to do AFTERBURN SAT for sure!

I will have to get over to FB to check out pics!!

We have a big Halloween party SAT - complete w/haunted hay ride in woods .. should be fun .. temps are to drop tho .. I WILL BE FREEZING in my outfit .. DH has to work but getting off early .. so he will be there too but he wont dress up .. OH WELL I am .. I love Halloween ...

Laura:: I've had the new vids since Monday night. Wanted to do one Tuesday morning but ended up taking an unsched rest day. Wanted to do one this morning but I lost my motivation after previewing a couple of them last night. :( Hopefully some of the others will excite me a bit more...

Diana:: It was definitely a good work out. Kicked my azz for certain! ;) Still snowing by you? So what work out, if any, did you or will you do today?
 
Hi Ladies,

No workout to report for today, but I did get all the laundry done.:D The UPS guy stopped in front of my house around 3pm but didn't bring me anything. UGH. I went to the UPS site to track my package and it had been updated to arrive tomorrow.:mad: I'm guessing he couldn't find it in the truck.

I have an early meeting tomorrow so not sure If I will get a w/o in or not. If possible, it is heavy leg day so hopefully I can get to the rec ctr. I'm not doing very good getting this weight off. Holiday meltdown starts on Nov. 7th so that should definitely help.

Wendy-the new dvd's aren't motivating to you. Oh No, hopefully its just because you have the BR bug! The snow has stopped and the temps are supposed to be 50's tomorrow, 60's through the weekend, and even low 70's on Monday!

Laura-I was hoping to be previewing the new DVD's tonight. Oh well, guess tomorrow will have to do. Sounds like you had a kick arse class! Hope your hair turns out beautiful!

Hey Ladies ..

well my hair is wonderful - did low lites and high lites - awesome!!! Got the news one of my uncles died ystdy - my mthrs brthr - he had been battling lung cancer. I wasnt really close to him - even had my run ins and major issues with him .. sooooooo it is going to be a very stressfull weekend. Funeral is SAT at 2 - 2 hours away - and I have a Halloween party that night :( ugh!! wish funeral were tmrw instead of SAT... UGH ... CABS will be flowing freely.

Di - I have got to get myself back on track too.. been caving in on some treats .. ugh .. and DH been cooking up a storm .. crap ..

Wendy - I have not had time to try the workouts yet .. not that I havent wanted to .. man i would love to do one of them today instead of teaching .. but I have to teach ...

Tonight is plyo - I obviously need it - THIS MORON JERK co-worker just asked if I was PREGNANT :mad::mad::mad: WTF?????? b/c I was getting GRAPES out of the fridge :mad::mad::mad: frnkn IDIOT!!!!! OMG .. he has PI$$ed me of .. and I am ILL as H## right now ... Hi Ladies,

I'm so off track this week. No workout wed or thurs and probably not today either. I got up late, took DS to school and now I just have time to get ready for work.

My new DVD's arrived yesterday so I previewed AfterBurn and LowImpactChallenge...they both looked good. Then I came upstairs and reviewed Athletic ??? and thought I would do that one this morning...UGH...no time. I will definitely be spending my weekend with Cathe and am looking forward to a LIS November rotation.

DS has a football game and choir concert tonight-yuck. The game starts at 4pm and the concert starts at 7pm. DH and I will be spending our evening at the school.

Laura-so glad your hair turned out beatiful! I'll never understand why people have to be so rude. Have you decided which new w/o you will be doing first? I didn't realize so many of them incorporated weights. I'm not a big yoga fan either but will give them both a try at least once.

Wendy-I previewed the Set Fire w/o yesterday, it looks awesome. Glad you are enjoying these shorter w/o's. I'm wondering if your endurance will suffer or how hard will it be to do a longer w/o. I would love to look like Zuzana though!

TGIF - HAPPY HALLOWEEN and WAAAARRRRRR EAGLE!!!!!

This has been one insane week!!! Good Gosh I am ready for some relief!!!!! Class last night was awesome - PLYO full out w/repeat sequences ... w/WEIGHT WORK in between segments :eek: - ochie wawa!!! I was gonna try to get up this morning and do a LiiT workout .. BUT me and DH had great conversations last night .. drank some CABS and I just didnt want to get up - said screw it .. :eek:..

Today is FORCED REST DAY - errands at lunch - have to get stuff for the party and for the family after the funeral. THEN after work I am going over to help decorate the cabin for the party tmrw - it is to rain today and to turn COLD - in the 40's tmrw night .. I WILL BE FREEZIN in my my little outfit .. at least the wig is warm .. I will try to snap a pic of me .. LOL .. DH said he "may dress up" .. maybe I can talk him into it ..

TMRW will be full speed ahead - gona TRY to get up early and do Afterburn - I will have to get arse out of bed tho .. b/c will have to be in shower by 11 to get ready for funeral . UGH .. then funeral .. then rush home get ready for party .. then PARTY TIME .. WOOT WOOT!!!

Di - seems I am struggling also fitting in working out EVERY day here lately .. life is getting in the way .. gotta get back on trakc .. and add getting up early to it!!! GOT TO .. next week I am gonna make a consertive effort to get arse out of bed and do a morning workout.

Wendy - any Halloween plans? Do let us know when you do a LiiT workout .. want full report!!

Ugh. No work out again this morning! That makes THREE days this week!:eek: I overslept!!!:mad:

Tomorrow I am planning on doing Athletic Training (as per Jen! LOL) and then Sunday I'll probably take a crack at Low Impact Challenge. That's my plan....so far! ;)

The BR that I was going to do today will probably get done on Monday if my plan stays in tact! LOL

Good Morning Ladies,

Jerod's team lost bad yesterday. We were ahead 13-6, 4th down in the other teams 20 yard line and the coach had the kids try to run it to get the first down. Needless to say they didn't make and the other scored right away. The game went downhill from there. It was there last regular season game but they should have 1 more game next week.

I need to get back on track with my eating and working out. Football being over will help, but I have just been out of sorts lately. Holiday Meltdown class starts on Nov. 7th...yaaayyy.

No workout for the past 4 days....ack. Today will be one of Cathe's new w/o's....leaning towards Athletic Training. I'm also considering doing a 90 day challenge that a BB coach is starting up on Tuesday, Nov 1st.

Laura-how was the halloween party last night? Looking forward to seeing some pictures soon. Speaking of pictures, DS showed me some pictures of the girls at the Halloween patch. I'll post them on FB if he shows me.

Wendy-I saw on FB that you did AT yesterday, how was it? Sounds like yesterday was a fun family day. Did Joey like the movie?
