**Damage Control** November

Welcome to our check in Allee Sue! Tell us a little bit about yourself? I'm a wife, mother of 3 sons ages 23, 21 and 15, and grandma to twin 3 yr old girls! I work full time and am a Cathlete to boot. I've had the luxury of going on 2 Cathe Roadtrips, one in NJ and the other in San Diego.

Hi Ladies.

No work out for me this morning. Day #6 if I had done one but chose to sleep in and that's OKAY. No guilt at all! :)

Diana:: How was BC class?

Good Morning Ladies,

I woke up at 3:13am ...not fun. Of course I was sound asleep when the alarm went off at 5:20. Intensity was not my best performance this morning but I got it done!

Bootcamp was circuits last night, similar to a BR w/o. We had 4 stations with 2 timed exercises at each station and we repeated them 4 times before moving on to the next station.
1. high knee jump ropes, pullups
2. burpees w/push up & jump, tricep dips or overhead presses
3. one long jump forward into a low squat, 2 jumps back, bicycle abs
4. jump lunges, ???? (I can't remember-oh no)

Wendy-your rest day is well deserved. I've only been getting in exercise 5 days per week recently. Some days I do get 2 w/o's in though.:D

Hello Diana: Nice to meet you! ;) Hehe...I finally found my way back to Catheland.

I am single. Started working out a few year ago off and on. I consider myself a newbie. WOW!! Two roadtrips that is amazing. Sweet, a 3yrs old twin...Nice!

Okay...off to get it done! Today will be BS. Yup back to basic...Wish me luck!

TUE that is my MON that could be considered my THURS

:eek: that was a mouthfull huh? :p First of all TB: yes Wendy I had DOMS .. but yes they were not as bad as I thought .. although .. my butt was FRIED!!!! then HOMECOMEING :eek: .. one word .. AUSOME!!! My DN had a blast and so did my DH .. was just a great family time!!!! Sad to say no workouts to report for SAT- SUN - or MON - :eek::eek: :eek: I KNOW .. I have canceled class this week - my DSIL had her thyroid surgery ystdy - and we were at the hospital all day - and DN stayed with me - so have been busy!!! DSIL is doing well - I am hoping this is first step to a GREAT recovery and she will be getting stronger every day! :D We HOPE she gets to come home today - so I am gonna try to find something she can eat .. and take to her for supper tonight - and something for DB and DN to eat too ... I am working today - so NO workout again today .. but I am not sweating it.. I KILLED myself last week - NOT sure IF I can fit one in tmrw either b/c I am supposed to have Thanksgiving at my house .. a major CLEANMAX has to be done .... plus grocery store and organizing plans to do be done!!! BUT THURSDAY - T-day .. YESSS .. I am thinking a run then tri sets :eek: that'll do it!! ;)

WELCOME Allee -I am happily married (25+ years) - no kids - except 2 huge furbabies that are my kids - and 2 more outside that are family - I work in collections at a large utility - and then teach a fitness class after work 3- 4 times a week - and of course a major CATHLETE!!!! and a HUGE SEC FOOTBALL - AUBURN TIGER FAN!!!!! and oh ya .. I am somewhat a GOOFBALL ... :p

Di - your bootcamp class sounds AWESOME .. right up my alley!!! WTG!!!!

Wendy - so you liked Tri sets huh? I will know THURS .. :D.. i was surprised I wasnt sorER from TB ... it was sure painful enough .. but ya .. you are right ... wasnt the level of sore I was thinking .. w/the exception of my EVER SORE BOOTY!!!!:p

Hi ladies,

Planning on going in to work for a short while in the morning and then working from home the rest of the day (and cooking). I'm off Thurs/Friday and plan on doing some Black Friday shopping if I can find what I'm looking for. I downloaded the Black Friday app for my droid...playing with that tonight so I can utilize it's full potential!

Laura-saw your football pic on FB, glad you had such a good time!;) So happy DSIL is recovering from her surgery. She is so lucky to have you in her life. Bet you had fun with DN too!!;) My booty is still a bit sore from TB too. I was expecting much worse too, since I struggled through the darn w/o.

Allee-everyone has to start somewhere, we all did too. We are all working on improving ourselves, so come kick some butt with us! :p I don't have basic step, probably only one of a few Cathe's that I don't own. Do you have the HIIT w/o's? You might like those, they are short but intense. I tend to use DWP the most since it doesn't use the step.

Good Morning Ladies.

This morning I did 2 BR's back to back. The first was 15 mins of intervals and the second was a timed work out that took me 13-14 mins to complete. Good stuff! :D

Then I got into work and a coworker had brought in dunkin donuts. I normally wouldn't partake but I figured, hey, why not start celebrating a day early and grabbed one!? LOL :p

Diana:: Nice BC class!!! Glad you got to WFH y'day for most of the day.

Allee:: I used to have Basic Step. It's what I used to help me learn how to do step aerobics. I sold it but do wish I still had it at times .l... Oh well.

Laura:: Best wishes for a speedy recovery to your DSIL!!!!!

Di/Wendy: great job with the wokout. Y'all rock!!!

I am sorting my dvd hoping I can come up with a rotation. Maybe I will do P90x /turbofire. What do you ladies think? I am just starting back so should I go easy and work my way up?

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I will be alone again this year. Its all good. I plan on watching movies. Any good ones?

Happy PRE Turkey day!!!!

AW LAWD .. where are these people coming from?????? I thought today would be SLOW . .. come on people .. you should be out at the grocery store .. gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr :mad: .. hopefully i made my last trip the grocery store today at lunch .. LOL!! If I dont have it .. tuff!!!!!!:confused: STILL no workout to report .. you know what that means????? DOUBLE trouble for tmrw :eek: :eek: gonna do 2 workouts tmrw - I will try to report and see what everyone is up to!!! My mother is working - my DB is on call .. FINALLY my DH is off .. woot woot .. I am cooking .. but I guess we will have to have supper - depending on how DSIL feels .. will be a small gathering this year!!!

Allee - ummmmmmm B&G is NOT starting it off easy :confused: :eek: :confused: that is my go to torture workout for my LB .. eeeeouuuch!!!!! I think if you can handle B&G .. p90X and turbofire will be just fine for you!!! ;)

DI - no Black FRI for me .. :confused: .. i would rather be beat in the woodshed than fight those crowds .. BUT I WILL be CYBER shopping ... I have already nailed some PRE black Fri deals!!!! :D

Wendy - thnx for well wishes for SIL ...I caved too ... I did have 2 donut holes today .. unusual for me ... we had a "tailgating" day today .. every one brought snacks - our big RIVAL game is this SAT .. AL v/s AU .. ummmmmm our chances are not good this year ... OH WELL .. I am still gonna be cussing the TV and yelling WAAAARRRR EAGLE anyway!!! :p (many CABS will be consumed tho :eek:)

No workout to report for today. No reason, just didn't do it. I do plan on w/o tomorrow though. I'm busy making desserts tonight so shouldn't be an issue to w/o tomorrow.

Laura-sorry work is so busy. It was pretty slow in our office today and they let us go around 2:30. I will look through the ads to see if there is anything I need to get. Hopefully my nephew's wife will be going with me and maybe my SIL too! It should be fun.

Allee-I'm more of a jump right in and do as much as I can kind of person. I love chalene but don't have turbofire...wish I did though! Why don't you try a couple weeks of P90X/turborfire and see what you think. If its not working you can always change it up. Wendy is pretty good with rotations so if you want to share what DVD's you have she could probably put a rotation together for you.

Wendy-hope you don't mind me offering your rotation help to Allee:p Nice job with the BR w/o's this morning!!!

Good Morning and Gobble Gobble to you, Ladies! :D

Ok so what was I thinking!?!? :confused: I did the Cardio Supersets Extreme Premix this morning! OH.MY.GAWD.!!!! I hadn't even done the darn work out as produced yet! Just two 30 min premixes and I decided to take THIS on! WOW! What a work out! Perfect pre-Thanksgiving meal calorie burn! YEOWZAS! No guilt about what I eat/drink now!;) So the dvd claims this premix is 64 mins long but according to my body and my clock (unless I am TOTALLY losing my mind!), this work out was much more like 74 minutes!!! Any opinnions here?

Diana:: So what desserts did you prepare y'day? What's on tap for a work out today? Nope, don't mind your offering Allee my rotation help at all. I'm here to help my girls! :)

Laura:: So you will do TWO work outs today huh? NICE! You are dedicated! Can't wait to hear what you did!!!

Allee:: Where are your family and friends? Nobody local you can celebrate with today? I thought I might be alone today as well and I was actually OKAY with it but now that I have plans to go out to eat with my mom I am looking forward to it. :) As for movies, I could go on for days if I opened up my dvd cabinet! LOL Drop Dead Fred, When Harry Met Sally, Brighton Beach Memoirs ,Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (original), Milo and Otis , Shawshank Redemption, all of the Transformer movies, Lord of the Rings Trilogy if you have like 2 straight days! LOL, Shrek, Marley and Me, Wedding Crashers...should I go on? LOL As you can see I have a wide range of tastes. :p

Have a happenin' Turkey Day and I'll be back tmrw....from work. BOOH! :(
 
Good Morning...well not for me since I'm at work :( but hopefully for the rest of you! :cool:

This morning's work out was a BR called Abs Now that was a time challenge and it went like this::

*Lunge Back & Press Up-50 reps
*Super Girl Plank-50 reps
*Sumo Squat-50 reps
*Reptile Plank-50 reps
*Jump Lunge-50 reps
*Santana Plank-50 reps
*Jump Forward and 2 jumps back-50 reps
*Mini Squats-50 reps

This took me about 20 mins to complete but then I added on

*Jump Rope for 50 reps
*Knee and leg raises on the dip station for 50 reps

which brought me to a 25 minute work out. :D

That's all for now...I'll post more later if anyone shows up today....:p
