**Damage Control** November

Hi ladies,

My body is so sore from class last night. We did a lot of track running, running stairs, pushups, dips, sqauts, lunges, ball exchange, it was tough but a great class.

This morning I'm hitting the legs again with STS. I need to be hitting the abs more frequently so will try adding those on after class at the rec ctr.

Unfortunately I didn't set the coffee pot to brew this morning so I'm waiting on that before I start my workout.

Wendy-Hope you are having a great time and winning at the casinos!

Laura-enjoy your day off!

Lori-it sounds like you and I are the only ones working today. I saw on FB that your ultrasound revealed that your baby boy is healthy! What do you have left to go, about 8 weeks I think.
 
Ahhhh....reading the thread makes me realize how much I miss you ladies:( And my normal life:p;) I don't know if I will ever get to check in like I use to. We will see how hectic life is once baby arrives.

Everything was fine with the baby. I wasn't really worried about it but I probably shouldn't have told my mother. It probably took another couple of years off of her life:p I received my dvds yesterday but I have no clue when I will get to try them. I worked for a coworker last night and I was in here twice. And I have more flights this weekend then I care for, its a good thing I don't have a hard job! I think this weekend is gonna seem long b/c no one is around today I am going to be thinking it is Saturday...

Wendy** Blowing off steam with drinks! I miss those days! The only way I can blow off steam now is to blow up or just lie down! LOL And if I lie down then there is a good chance I will get heart burn! :rolleyes: DH has it coming to him though. I think I am soon gonna snap.....I always do this, I let things build up until I lose it. I wanted to have a nap last night before I came to work, he was suppose to be getting DS ready to go out somewhere and the next thing I know he is gabbing on the phone and DS is running around with no clothes on and jumping from couch to couch. So I napped just enough that I didn't want anymore sleep. Meanwhile when he comes home from work and falls asleep with his tea in his hand, and we all leave him alone. Anyway.....I am just a ticking time bomb right now.
Did Joey enjoy Halloween??? I think this year was the most fun DS had.

Diana** Maybe you should schedule your surgery for Jan so we can get back to working out at the same time;) Im looking forward to running and doing a rotation again! Its gonna be so nice. I still have 11 weeks to go. Im around 29 week now, give or take. My date is the 29th, my first ultra sound said the 25th and yesterday's revealed the 28th....so not a big difference. I know when my last period was soooo.....and I am willing to bet this baby won't come out until Feb! I haven't had one early yet!

Laura** Happy to hear your baby is doing good. How are the injuries?? I guess you are enjoying your nice long weekend. I should do some studying instead of puttering around but its hard when I was in here at 3:30 in the morning and up again at 10. I find it really hard to focus!

Ok...so I don't really have a whole lot of news. I do have some but I don't want to post it here just because. I should said a private message but then I have to find all your user names:rolleyes: And well, we know how much time I spend on the boards these days.

I still need to get the baby's room done and DS is moving out into the bigger room I think, unless he changes his mind again. I have a fair bit of Christmas shopping done and gifts wrapped. I think the upcoming week will be filled with studying and decorating. I need to do it while I have the time! It won't be long and this month will be over!

Hey Lori-you are amazing. I never knew how you kept up with working out with an infant and then toddler on your hands. I'm guessing I'll be cleared for working out around the same time you are. The Low Impact Series seems to be pretty good. I haven't yet tried all the discs because I decided to do the STS rotation again.:confused: I may give turbo barre a try on Sunday.

Good Morning Girls.

I didn't win but AC was fun none the less. Got home around 3:30pm y'day and ended up working out after dinner. I did Low Impact Challenge in full except I bailed on doing all the combos at once. Too soon for me!!! I enjoyed it but combo 4? Um, IDTS!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek:

This weekend I have Turbo Barre on tap for sure. Toying with Upper Body Tri Sets for the other work out but not sure yet.

Today I think a trip to the laundromat is an order + food shopping and housework.

Tomorrow I'll be hanging out with a friend for lunch and then going to pick up my son from MIL's after that.

Lori:: LOL you sound like me with the heart burn. I had to keep tums by my bed when I was pregnant. Hey, I had 2 wine spritzers on NYE when I was pregnant and my son came out just fine! Joey loved Halloween. My mom took him trick or treating with my cousin and her son so the two boys had a lot of fun together. Glad your DS enjoyed it too! Sorry for your woes with your DH. I understand where you are coming from 110%!!!

Diana:: So what's up for your weekend work out wise and any fun plans? I finally joined you in that drink last night around 10pm. Captain n diet coke. YUM. I am out of wine. Need to buy more...probably today!

Hi Ladies,

I have work conference to go to today in downtown Denver. If it's boring I'll probably leave early though. My workout today should be STS Back & Triceps and that could happen when I get home today. My legs are still a little sore from class and legs yesterday. I want to give turbo barre a try tomorrow.


Wendy-oh no, the washing machine is still broken...booh. Is it fixable or do you need to get a new one? Usually when Cathe puts all the combo's together...that's when I finally "get it". Did you do the blast section...that's the one that seemed to go on forever and I was dying..is this ever going to end. Even with my Strong Mojito last night, I'm down a lb this morning.:D

Hi Girls,

How this for checking in AGAIN!? You should all be very proud of me!

My weekend is almost over...thank GOD! I have had 3 nights of broken sleep. Tonight (cross my fingers) should be a good solid nights sleep! Last night wasn't as bad as the night before but still, getting up at 4 is not my cup of tea. I had 9 call outs. I only used 4 of them on this pay sheet and will save the rest for next pay period.

When I woke up yesterday afternoon I decided to give Cycle max a try and I really enjoyed it. I had to take a couple of breaks and I couldn't stay standing for that long....but I am carrying around more weight then cathe and crew! I started to do trisets after but I wasn't that into it and figured I would wait until tomorrow.

Wendy** I thought your washing machine problems were fixed? I can't imagine going that long without a machine. If I go 2 days without doing laundry , its as if I went a month! Of course most of the stuff in DD's basket isn't dirty.

Diana** Im not sure how working out with a infant and toddler is going to go either. DS is pretty good so I don't have to worry about him, its the unpredictiable new born. Im sure I will figure it out just the same. Hope your meeting isn't to boring.

I will try to pop back some time this week. This is my week off so it will be filled with studying and decorating!

Morning Ladies,

I got home late afternoon yesterday from my work event. The evening was spent hanging out and watching a couple movies with DH, it was nice! Today...will be spent doing cleaning, more laundry, grocery shopping and working out. I'm doing STS Back and Triceps and a probably Low Impact Challenge before I get started on the rest of the day.

I got to video chat with my girls last night, they are so adorable. I was making brownies and they were eating brownies. It will be so fun having them here for Christmas.

Lori-got your PM...good luck! You always seem to take everything in stride. I was an emotional nightmare when I was pregnant. The constant broken sleep would probably push me over the edge. I'm a little jealous of your "week off" and having time to decorate your house for the holidays. I've really cut down on the house decorations in the past couple of years. Just doing the tree and some holiday tablecloths. As the kids have gotten older is just become less important to me.

Hey Girls.

This morning's work out was Turbo Barre ballet bar leg conditioning, floorwork + abs followed by the c/s/t premix of Tri Sets upper body. Wiped me out!!! My biceps are ON FIYAH from y'day's work out too! Holy cow! Can't wait to see what hurts tomorrow! :eek::eek::eek:

Aside from that I spent a couple hours hangin out and having a lunch with a friend and doing some housework.

Leaving in about 15 mins to go p/u my son from MIL's...

I am very tired today. Didn't get as much sleep as I had hoped to. Took a short nap but it wasn't enough. Maybe I'll be able to go for another one once DS is settled in later...

Lori:: Good job with CM. Let me know what you think of Tri Sets. I am really liking that work out!!! Yeah being w/o a working washer stinks but I've been dealing. A couple laundrymat trips and washing clothes by hand a few times and we've managed to make it through. I will wash a few things by hand later and hopefully it will be enough b/c the guy is coming to fix it on Tuesday! YAY!

Diana:: So what movies did you and DH watch? I watched American Wedding last night with my dog. :p I have never been big into decorating for holidays. I do what I do for DS mostly and that isn't even much. Christmas I will do more for then the other holidays. Most of the others I really won't do anything but help him put those stickies on the windows. I enjoy the holidays, just not into the decorations mostly b/c I hate taking them down! :rolleyes:

OK .. soooooo i was in a decent mood this morning - had a great FUN time in Biloxi this weekend - we both LOST .. :( .. oh well we still had great food - fun - laughs - and CABS :p .. but i get in and my old PIA .. is still a PIMA!!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: too much to get into .. but CRAP I was hoping I was done w/that B### .. and what is bad .. nothing like an PIA auditor w/a grudge :mad::mad::mad::mad: my blood pressure was prbly sky high .. I FEEL SOOOO SORRY FOR MY CLASS tonight - after a weekend of indulgence - then having to deal w/PIA today I am NOT IN A VERY GOOD MOOD and feeling the need to WORK OFF SOME STRESS!!!!!

ON that note - I will be doing a combo of reg step - 3 step torture - and high rep weight and paper plate work :mad::mad::mad:

Lori - glad your baby is ok!! sorry about whatever is stressing you - and glad to hear from you girlie!!! Cycle Max .. preggers .. sounds painful to me .. LOL!!!

Di - that was sweet - both you and your GDs were having brownies at same time ... awesome!!!! I am putting off going to dr about knee .. I know what he is gonna say .. either 6 weeks of NO WORKING OUT - or surgery - ummmmmmmm no thank you ... not now!

Wendy - I watched "The Change Up" last night w/my furbabies (dh crashed had to go to sleep) - OMG .. that is a HOOT of a movie .. I love both Ryan and Jason .. two funny funny men!!! great laugh .. and has some sweet spots too ..

OK .. soooooooo better run ... have a stack of paperwork to do .. have a great one!

Ended up working out after dinner last night more for a stress release then anything....I did BR's Six Pack Abs 2011 work out: BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv (18 mins)

This morning I am leaning towards a little Cardio Super Sets but don't hold me to it quite yet coz there's still time for me to change my mind!;):p

Plan on trying Tri Sets Lower Body...probably tmrw so long as I have the time...

Laura:: Sorry PIA can still make your blood boil. :( I hope your class appreciated what it did for them. ;) Never heard of the movie you watched. I'll have to check it out for future use! :)

Hi Ladies,

Today is STS week 3 CSB. Yesterday I did Cardio Supersets, and honestly it wasn't that fun to me. However, I did the step segment and loved that part. I think it's because the discs don't work well on my surfaces. I need just get some regular gliding discs and see if those work any better.

I missed class last night to go to the football booster club meeting. We are deciding if the boys will travel in 2012 or 2013. Usually they have a trip every 3 years but if they travel next year it will only have been 2 years since the last trip. They are looking at going to either Washington DC or Orlando.

I also missed Amanda's call to videochat with the girls last night...booh.

Have either of you looked at Jamie Eason's 12 week program? Eunice got great results from this program. I looked at it briefly but wasn't ready for a long rotation....uuummmm...then decided to do STS again. Here's the link so you can check it out:

Wendy-DH and I watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Day's, Couples Retreat, and Fast Five (love this movie)!! It was nice to just hang out and relax with my honey. I just previews your BR w/o, love those short intense w/o's.

Diana:: We saw Couples Retreat a while back. Cute movie. I love Vince Vaughn! ;) Other two I've never seen. Must check em out now! :D Sorry you missed Amanda's call. Bummer. I'm sure you will catch up with her and the girls soon tho. I saw Eunice's pics on FB of her results but had never even heard of that program before. If it looks doable then go for it. Why not, right? :) Funny, the BR is all about ABS yet there's not a stitch of actual ab work in the work out! It's mostly lower body! Zuzanna says you have to work legs to get a six pack (promotes fat loss) so I guess that's why...

OK .. so today's goal - is to COME IN - PUT IN MY 8 HOURS - and get teh H### OUTTA HERE ... last night >>> YOWZA .. it was awesome .. the added stress added a LOT to the intensity .. we were sweating buckets .. combos of 2 step shaping - 3 step torture - paper plate work - weights - and core work - DOMS: core - shoulders and bis!! :D:D yup I am happy!!!!

Tonight is mish mosh - thinking some light plyo work - some weight combos - paperplate work - then finishing w/floor work - have not surprised them w/floor work in a while .. LOL!!!! after last night .. think it will be great addition!!!

Di - sorry your missed Amanda's call - I know you wanted to see/hear your GB's!!!! I wish I didnt let PIA get to me .. but damn .. she does .. :mad::mad::mad:

Wendy - souns like your Monday sucked too huh? sorry girlie!!!! hey both those movies are great movies How to Loose a Guy in 10 days .. one of my FAVORITES ... and Fast Five .. AWESOME adrenaline rush ..

Laura..Gonna see if either of those movies are available on PPV for this weekend. No late night partyin' since I'll have my son so it'll be a perfect time for movies! LOL :D I'll keep ya posted! Good job on the self inflicted DOMS! You sure know how to work it girly! ;) This day is draaaaagging. Can't wait to blow this popsicle stand!!!! I want my wine!!!!:p
 
Good Morning:)

Feels like old times, Im sitting in front of the computer with my coffee!:) Gotta love it. Hoping this is what my life will consist of in a few short months.

I worked out on Mon and it may have been my last time. My back starts acting up after a workout. Im lucky I made it this far. In saying that, I may try another workout later:eek: If I take the rest of the afternoon to lounge or I lounge all morning and then workout later, I may be fine. I did however to UB tri sets yesterday....can you say modify?:rolleyes: Jump'ins.....I can't do half of those moves now. I can't do a push up any sense cause my belly touches the floor before anything else. I do feel a little sore though.

Wendy** Glad you have your washing machine problems fixed;) Doing laundry is bad enough...nvm having to leave the house to do it!:confused: I think I will like these workouts more when I can actually do them or attempt to do them. Right now I can't even try just b/c if I did lose my balance, it wouldn't be nice. Like the plank tricep extensions....wouldn't be a good scene if my arm gave out;) Although...I am sure the baby is well protected!

Laura** LOL at you taking your fustrations out on your class:) That's funny! As long as they didn't know and they just thought you were giving them a run for their money, who cares! Sorry the PIA is still being a PIA! I forgot about her. I hate going to work after one of the other girls I work with. She as been back with us since early this year and I tell ya....the girl makes more mistakes then I thought even possible. Its almost as if she is talking to someone or thinking about something else when she does her work. My mornings are usually filled with fixing her errors:mad:

Diana** I did most of my decorating Sun and Mon and I think that's why I was still tired yesteday, minus the fact that I didn't sleep well the night before. Last night I got a wonderful sleep though. Once my head hit the pillow I couldn't keep my eyes open and I didn't get up until 8. I think I had a good 9 hours.

Alright...I am going to get DS some breakfast and myself. Then settle in for some reading. He is suppose to be at preschool but he has a pretty nasty cough and I don't know if I should be sending him. Im home so why bother!

Good Morning Ladies,

DH has had an awful cold for the past week or so. Last night he was up coughing a lot. He finally got up at 4am, took a shower and went to work. I didn't get much sleep either and woke up late. Barely got up in enough time to get DS to school.

My workout plan was BM2 Cardio Blast. I'm drinking coffee right now and will probably have to pick a shorter w/o for today. I'm happy to say that I'm down 4lbs since going back on WW and daily weighing, about a week and a half.

We got some bad news about Rylee last night. Apparently she has fluid behind her ear drums and they did a hearing test and it looks pretty bad. Amanda is kicking herself cuz she took Rylee to the Dr. a month ago because she was complaining that something was in her ear. At that time the Dr. said there was nothing in her ear and everything was fine. The Dr. cleaned out a bunch of gunk out of her ear yesterday and gave her medication to dry up the fluid. The next stop is an Ear Nose and Throat specialsits to determine if the hearing loss is short term due to the fluid in her ears or if its irreversible.

Lori-Glad to hear your pregnancy is coming along smoothly now that the morning sickness is gone. I'm becoming more like Wendy, and not decorating as much as when the kids were little. Have you tried Low Impact Challenge or Slide N Glide? I like Low Impact Challenge but haven't tried Slide & Glide. The discs don't work very well on my puzzle mats and seem to drag a bit on my carpet. Hope Rylan feels better. This nasty cold is going around my family, but so far I'm immune!

Wendy-Yay for your washing machine being fixed. I felt your pain. If you listen to Jamie Eason's program it focuses a lot on healthy eating. Eunice said she would cook for the week on Sunday's. You should definitely try to watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 days. It has the Hunky Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson.

Laura-I love that you take your frustrations out on your class. They probably expect it from you anyway! It sounds like they love a hard sweaty workout just like the rest of us.

Morning.

No work out for me today. Scheduled rest day. I woke up earlier then usual so I ended up intending to work out anyway but it just never happened. No big deal ofcourse. Just figures. :rolleyes: Judging from the way my day is going though I may be doing another evening work out tonight to relieve stress. :confused: Either that or drink some extra wine!!!

Lori:: I had sooo much fun doing laundry last night in MY washing machine! LOL :p I fell once when I was preggo. I was doing a Firm "step" work out and lost my balance and then tripped over the step. I scraped my leg on the step and fell but thankfully on my backside, not my belly. You are off balance when pg so it's tough. Yeah, the balance factor in the new work outs probably makes them an unwise choice for you unless you can manage to take it out of the equation when you are doing them.

Diana:: Oh poor DH. Nothin' worse then goin' to work when you feel like dog poop. :( Great job with the weightloss!!! Now keep it up girl! :D Sorry about Rylee. Amanda shouldn't feel bad. She took her to the doc. Not her fault the doc was wrong. How cld she have known?? I never saw the Matthew McConaughey attraction w/the exception of one movie he was in that I've seen. I can't even remember the name of it right now (grrrr!:rolleyes:) but I think he looked really good in it. Hubba hubba! ;) Hope you had a good work out this morning!

Mish mosh class last night was great - added some new LB stuff in - everyone was soooo sore from MON .. now my hamstrings are SCREAMING at me .. eeeeeeoouuuuuccch!!!! :confused: today is total REST day - we are having a GGT after work .. woohooooooo .. come on CABS ...

Lori - slide and glide is fun workout .. but man it is tuff on the core .. and IDK about you .. but when moving w/those disc .. I have to see my feet and knee placement to make sure I dont push to far ... so your baby may interfere w/your line of vision .. you are getting close tho girlie .. soooo dont push it too hard!!!

Di - Hate that about Rylee - will pray that is is not perm damage - wonder why kids have such trouble w/their ears .... pitiful .. and they really dont know how to tell you waht is going on with them!!

Wendy - aaaahhhh go ahead and join me w/the CAB stress releiver today!! :p yes I am bad influence!!! :p but sometimes it is just even better than working out .. ..... sometimes!!! I lurv Mathew McConaghey ... and 10 way to loose a guy is prbly my fav movie he has had out. You are prbly talking about Mississippi Burning?? w/him and I think it was Sandra Bullock .. he was AWESOME in that movie .. and oh so yummy!!!! 10 ways is pretty funny movie!!!!!

OK .. better run .. it is lunch already .. eeek .. gotta jet .. will BBL to see what everyone is up to!!
