Good Morning:)

Today's workout is a long run. The sun is shining right now so hopefully it doesn't get to warm. Fall is setting in though so I'm sure I will be o.k.

I need to tighten up on this week. Not b/c I have gained weight or anything but I have a wedding on Sat night and I don't want to go bloated:confused: I just feel better in general when I don't eat to much.

I am not sure what we will do today. It was nice a quiet here the past couple of days cause the inlaws were gone next door. There were no kids running around and DS was whining to go over there.....that will all change today...sigh:eek: Gonna read yesterdays thread...then I will return:D

Lori:)

Diana** I am guessing I will be needing knee replacement at some point in time! I am sure she will be ok. I think we always worry about others more then we worry about ourselves. That's just the way it goes. I guess you will be excited when Dec rolls around. Time goes by so fast...before you know it we will be hauling out the christmas decor.

Jacque** Nice workout yesterday. Sad thing about back injuries is once you have one, it will always come back to haunt you. I don't have any issues with my back but sometimes when I am doing dead lifts I feel a little tinge of discomfort so I suck my abs in a bit more to protect it. I hate cleaning up unexpected messes!

Wendy** How was your day? Did Joey enjoy it??

Alright...I will bbl to report my workout. My UB is still sore from sat!

Lori:)

Good Morning.

We sat in MAD traffic to get to this wine festival yesterday. We took a highway and sat in dead stopped/crawling traffic starting at the exit and all the way to the entrance of the park where the festival was. It took us an HOUR to go 2 miles at the most!!!!:mad::eek::mad: We finally got there and took DS on the train ride first. He was unbelievably patient in the car so I couldn't not do something for him first. It was kind of a dud though, sad to say. :( After that we moved on to the festival. Had to pay $20 a piece (DS not included) to get in to cover the tasting part of it and we each got a wine glass to keep. Well, standing in huge crowd at these tents waiting for what is barely a shot of wine when you have a 5 year old in tow is NOT fun. I don't know what we were thinking. We tasted maybe 5 wines and I was done with that. It just wasn't fun. I must say that even if Joey weren't with us, it was just too crowded for my liking. :( So then we moved on to something else for the little guy. Well what I read made it sound like they had a decent amount of stuff for kids there (and there were A LOT of kids there!) but they had next to nothing. We paid $6.00 for him to make sand art in a bottle shaped like a dinosaur that he immediately messed up by turning upside down as we were walking. Next came food. It was tastey but we had to sit on the grass to eat it b/c they had no seating. Finally DH stayed with DS while I went to 3 of the wineries we did tastings at and stood in line to buy something. Came away with 4 bottles of wine...one of which was NOT what I had asked for as we came to find out when we got home. Yeah, NOT a great day. All I can say is that we we got to spend time outside in the gorgeous weather atleast. Oh, and we sat in about another 15 minutes of traffic to get out of the parking lot when we were leaving, had the GPS send us in circles and then almost ran out of gas!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP could it have gotten any worse!?!?!

Sorry but I needed to vent. I'll shut up now!:p

Lori:: Nope, can't say Joey enjoyed himself all that much either y'day. Feel bad about that but what can ya do? The entire idea was a mistake from start to finish. I would have rather taken DS to Chuck E. Cheese and then just gone to the liquor store and bought 4 bottles of wine. It wasn't worth the trouble. Enjoy your long run today!!!!

Diana:: Yes, the upper body work in that T2 work out is killer! IKWYM for sure! I'm glad you like it so far. The production quality is far from Cathe but the work outs are still good solid leg/butt burners!!!!

Jacque:: Sorry about that tree limb. Glad it was only a limb and glad it was on your fence! Could have been MUCh worse! Circuit Blast is a fun little work out. Hope you enjoy it!

So PS CST is on tap for today. I was going to do some Tonique with it instead of the usual cardio but judging from the DOMS that I still have, that is NOT happening! LOL

Good Monday morning ladies !

Well one of the happiest Monday's I can remember. Don't have to work ! The upcoming week will surely go fast ! Popping in while I sit in front of the TV catching up on the news and typing on a work laptop. :p Sure love this idea . . .

Lori - so you made it through the weekend with all your functions. Bummer about it getting cooler for you already. I hardly feel like we even had a summer here. Hoping it lasts a little longer so I can at least reap some of the rewards of my vegetable garden. Just now harvesting tomatos and I planted them in April ! Well ITA that a strong core is necessary for deadlifts and I know I have neglected my abs but when I do ab work it makes my back ache. I've been trying to do as much as possible to get back in shape. Did you get any studying in this weekend?

Wendy - Booooooo for you planned excitement y'day ! Festivals can be crowded - I love people watching so it doesn't bother me too much. Kinda sounds like our local Garlic festival but yours seems a little less organized. Ours is so old (30+ yrs) that they have figured out lots of ways to make it more enjoyable than the first one I went to 20+ yrs ago. We have shade tents, hay bales to sit on, the wine tent has misters (great in the 90+ weather) and a superb kiddy area. At least you got a few bottles of wine (crazy one was the wrong one!). Is it a newer festival? Well hope you got to take some of the frustration out on your PS workout.

BBL to report my workout . . .

My work out is done...PS: CS&T and abs only from PS: SL&A. Opted out of cardio today and don't feel bad about it. Just finished a 10 day stretch with no rest day! Definitely resting tomorrow!!!!

BBL!

Hi Ladies,

So nice to have another day off. This is my 6th day off in row and sad to say that I did not accomplish much. Today is cleanmax and the kids will have plenty to do. We are cleaning all the light fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms.

For some reason I did not sleep very good last night. I fell asleep around 11, and woke up at 12:45. DH was still reading. He finally turned the tv on and we watched tv till about 3:45. I slept off/on until about 6:30, DH didn't sleep at all, found him on the computer this morning.

This morning will be Max Cardio & Abs, and tonique premier. I'm surprised my legs aren't more sore today. If there is UB body work in premier I won't be using any weights. My shoulders are still sore!

Lori-enjoy your long run today! We are still having temps in the mid 80's to mid 90's. It should be cooling down some this month though. The reason I'm so concerned about MIL's surgery is because I lost my died after he had surgery.

Wendy-sorry the festival was a bust. 10 days without a rest...you are crazy! You deserve a rest day for sure. Are you still considering P90X? I'm thinking I'm ready to take that on as soon as I finish Insanity in the next 2-3 weeks. Are you in? Not sure I would do it on my own though.

Jacque-so you got your w/o in yestd'y afterall. Nice job. I loaned a bunch of my cathe dvd's to a coworker, including the mma's and hiit. Hope to get them back this next week. What about you, are you up for P90X?

Time to get going on Max Cardio.

Diana:: There was a combo of things that caused the 10 days of work outs w/no rest and I would have preferred that it didn't happen cause I've felt it the past few days but hey, what can ya do, right? :) So your legs aren't SCREAMING from Tonique? That's awesome. They stopped screaming after I had done it consistently for a while but I know when I go back I'll probably suffer for a bit again. ;) I was actually considering an STS rotation but I've decided against it for now and am hesitant to start P90X for the same reason...THE NEW WORK OUTS!!!! I KNOW me and once they come out, whatever rotation I am doing will go to hell so I can try them. For this reason I am going to keep any rotation I do after PS short so that I am free to play with the new work outs when they arrive. I think I will definitely commit to something longer once I've had my fill with them though. :)

Jacque:: We had never been to this wine festival before so we had no clue but people bring chairs and blankets and stuff and set up an area on the open fields amongst the tents and that's where they "hang out" for the day when not walking around. It's a great idea and if we go next year (but only sans child), we will have to do that. Would be much more fun that way with just a small group of adults I think.

Hey Ladies,

Whew...I got it all in! Max Cardio, Cardio Abs and Tonique Premier. Oh my, the lunge segment in TP goes on forever. It even had a mat segment at the end...didn't know about that. I did the whole thing (exept the stretch at the end) and it was 1:15 mins. I started the stretch but it was going on too long for me. My glutes were on fire during the mat work.

I got most of the light fixtures cleaned and put back up before working out. The last 3 will get done probably after dinner. Some time today I need to log into work and see what's on my schedule for tomorrow.

Wendy-I'm actually tiring of Insanity. I see the best results with M1 anyway. Probably just because it's such a huge change from what I normally do. Not sure what I will do after Insanity though.

bbl

Diana:: I've decide (I think!LOL) that I will do a very lower body and cardio focused rotation once I am done with PS, lifting for upper body only once a week, working lower body 3-4x per week and doing cardio 4-5x per week. I'll have to see what I can figure out...

Hi there chickadees !

Well read and read and read today - finished a book that I started y'day, taking notes and then began, yet once again, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I have started it probably 3 or 4 times but always end up ditching it for a fiction novel. Time to get up to speed on what all the others on the Lead Team have finished.

Finished Circuit Blast a little while ago, hit the spa for a bit and then logged in, yet again, to work on some interview questions for a co-worker and our 2nd interview for a potential candidate tomorrow. Man oh man - couple of the guys sure threw me a few when I was checking out emails this AM ! Doggone them - I wanted time off this weekend ! Thinking they have sabotaged much of my time this week - will be bouncing around back and forth between sites quite a bit next week ! UGH !

Wendy - nice job on the workout today - wow, 10 days in a row, huh? Very unlike you young lady. You deserve a day off tomorrow. Yep, sounds like you have a great plan if you attend the festival next year !:p

Diana - well you did well being productive today. You have been off for 6 days? Hmmmmm, I think I missed something along the week . . . I liked P90X but am having too hard of a time with push ups these days and don't want to do pull ups on my new door jams so not thinking it would work for me? It has been a long time since I have done it - am I remembering it correctly? I do think I remember the yoga and cardio was not that great for my liking - you planning on doing it 'verbatim' or making adjustments to the plan?

I kinda want to do Bob's new vids for a while and, like Wendy said, will def want to do the new workouts when they arrive. I am having a hard time focusing on much more than a month at a time right now. See if you can convince me otherwise !:p ;)

Will probably not be checking in in the AM as I am being summoned for some quick issues prior to heading out to our other site mid AM. Enjoy tomorrow since it won't be Monday. (Wendy - guess we missed the Monday blahs this week, huh?;))
