Good Morning.

Ended up going to Applebees for dinner w/DH last night. I had a glass of wine before we left and 2 captn and diet cokes while we were there. :eek: I only ate 1/2 of my dinner though and had absolutely no appetizers or anything else to eat even when we got home so I feel good about the food intake! Regardless though, there was no work out y'day so I NEED to get my butt whooped good today just to insure that it doesn't back up on me. Rotation calls for MMA: Kickbox. Bring it on Cathe! :D

Good Morning!

Quick checkin....still need to catch up on personals:eek:. We went to a house party last night and we didn't get home until 3'ish...and I have to work today:confused:. I am going to be soooo sleepy later! So of course there is no workout to report today! Maybe later though...I will see what time I get home.

Yesterday's workout was MMA boxing and DWP. It was a good workout, glad I did both. My UB is majorily fried from that workout though. I always wrap ankle weights around my hands b/c I don't have weighted gloves. I think my back is the most sore and I didn't even feel my back while doing it! LOL I felt my bics during the first punching section though.

I don't know if I told you guys but my new plan for the NY is to get in wicked shape...LOL. I told DH my plan and he was confused....Im guessing he already thinks I am in awesome shape. Or maybe its the fact that he is getting skinner by the minute and he doesn't want me to have anymore muscle definition. So I guess my over all goal would be to weigh about the same, get leaner but with more muscle. In my arms, legs and abs. I am guessing the first thing that will have to go is the sweets, so I will have to have a super clean diet. Anyway...that's my plan so now I need to figure out a "plan" LOL

Wendy** Enjoy your your workout! Hopefully you will get the same amount of DOMS as ME!

MMA: Kickboxing is done including the core/ab work at the end so I didn't have to add it on on my own today! :)

So I'VE COMPLETED THE ROTATION! IT'S A MIRACLE! :p

Tomorrow I have decided to commit myself to attempting to do 6 week six pack in full..both complete workouts back to back. The question is...in what order? Get the harder one over with first or do it second so that I know when it's over I am completely done?? :eek:

Lori:: I get tired just reading your posts at times between your work outs, training, your DS, your social life, etc. You are an energizer bunny in every sense of the word! I am hoping to have some wicked core DOMS after tmrw's work out! I will get back DOMS from a good k/b or boxing work out. Love it when that happens! :)
 
Let's see how far I get with this before my manager returns. If I knew he was gonna be gone this long I would have posted LONG ago!

So no workout of course. I did contemplate running for 20 mins but I didn't bother. Maybe when I get off I will do something...or maybe not:p

Wendy** I can't believe you guys have so much snow and yesterday it was crazy mild for us. Normally it would be the other way around. It as been a weird winter for us so far. Its snowing right now but it won't last b/c the ground is to wet. Sounds like you had a relaxing evening with DH. I had 3 drinks last night and that was it for me, if I had anymore I would have been three sheets to the wind! And I had to work this morning...although I should have gotten hammered and called in sick!

Diana** Are the girls there yet? I bet DS was exhausted! But excited at the same time! You are gonna enjoy them so much!

Laura** Nice workout yesterday. Hope you having fun being back to work today!

Hi Ladies,

My girls are here!!!! So happy. They are still sleeping and I expect them to sleep for a couple more hours probably. They had a very long day yesterday. We did get to play with them for a while when they got here. They remembered grandpa's worm dirt (chew) and his truck. As soon as Rylee saw the truck she said "that's grandpa's truck".

I may try doing circuits this week, to get off some of the Holiday fluff. My upper body looks okay from keeping up with upper body, but abs and lower body definitely need some hard core calorie burning exercise. Unfortunately I'm stuck with low impact, today will be LIC and I may go for Drill Max in full tomorrow. I usually do premixes of Drill Max so it will be a nice refresher for me.

I started tracking on WW yesterday. I meant to weigh this morning but totally forgot. I could still take my measurements though.

Wendy-nice job at dinner last night. What do you have planned for the next few days if your not starting STS until Jan 3rd? We are supposed to get 5-7 inches of snow Thursday night, the first real snowfall this year. It did snow once before but there wasn't much and it melted by the next day.

Lori-You are very determined, I have no doubt you will get in "wicked" shape if that's what you want to do. Do you have Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto? This ebook is full of useful information. I actually pulled it out the other day, along with Precision Nutrition to review.

Laura-Hopefully it is pretty slow for you at work today and you can get caught up from being on vacation and the holidays. I have 6 new w/o's and wanted to check them out while I'm off, but don't want to miss my own w/o window so I decided to give them a try.

Jacque-hopefully work is slow for you too. Yesterday I came across my review from last year and my increase sheet-a measley 2.25% increase. My review was average as I "met" all the objectives. Of course they have 3 boxes to choose from, Meets, Exceeds, Needs Improvement.

Well I should probably finish up my coffee and go w/o before the girls get up.

Good morning ladies !

Ugly night in the sleep department so need to get in here and get outta here . . . Did Intensity Step + HiiT (Hi) last night - whew for me. Was tired and not fully energized through the whole thing but did finish. Tonight will be another 4DS segment. My shoulders are not as sore as my tri's from the shoulder work the other day ? :confused:

Wendy - Good Job finishing your rotation. I see what you did with your STS rotation - remembering you don't have the time in the AMs to do the long weight workouts. Interesting . . . I'll probably be switching a few around also. UGH for all the snow y'day - hope today is better for you.

Lori - good job making it through the day y'day ! Great plan for the NY - I'd love to do the same. Perhaps you can be my inspiration - I can't fit in the amount of time you give to w/o's but maybe it will be a guideline. Will you be doing STS with us then? :p

Diana - yayayayayayaya the girls are here ! You are gonna have so much fun. Have you thought about LB workouts with no weights ? Those tighten up my quads pretty quickly. Well the Sharks bit it big time while your Avs played well but lost in OT. We had a zippo game - they just were not playing like a team.

Laura - good to hear the holiday went well for you. No sunshine for us here - rain, cold and windy. Looks like the clouds may be away for a little bit this week and then another storm for NY's day. OK with me - I need to catch up on the housework!:rolleyes:

UGH .. reality .. NOT FUN .. but I have soooo enjoyed my time off ... it just went by too fast .. my big babies sure were not happy about going out this morning .. 24 degrees .. and their faces were all sleepy headed .. LOL! and DOMS :eek: OH MY LAWD ... chest, shoulders, bis, tris, hammies and just a bit into the quads :eek: STS TB kicked my arse!!! :eek: ... thinking today is gonna be my rest day!!!

Wendy ... congrats on completing a rotation .. better than I have done .. with exception of STS ...

Lori .. My guess is you are ALREADY in WICKED shape!! Your husband is probably right!!! LOL .. pass me some of your determination please!

Di .. have fun w/the DGBs .. I know you will .. good luck w/the WW ... I see the comercials and think I need to join .. but I eat good .. basically it is CABS being my downfall .. dont think they are on the WW eating plan :eek: :p

Jacque .. I havent watched the news since I have been off ..man CA getting mudslides .. the rain has been bad huh? and looks like more today .. and then blizzards in the western middle of country .. NE already snowed in .. but for once .. even though it was 24 this morning .. it is to warm to 56 today :D .. and sunshine :cool: .. and usually it is Lori getting pounded w/snow ... yikes .. this weather this winter is crazy insane!!

OK .. gotta get back to the MOUNDS of paperwork that was left for me .. ya'll have a great one .. and I will BBL to see what everyones up to!;)
 
Lori:: Yup, that's exactly what you should have done...drank more and called out today! :D IDK where the hell the snow storm came from but there better not be anymore in our future this winter! Last winter was horrible! We don't need 2 horrible winters in a row!!!! :eek:

Diana:: Yay for the grandbabies' arrival! (not exactly babies anymore though!lol) I am just gonna play around until Monday. I have all of 6 week six pack on tap for tmrw and then probably just a couple of cardios-one for Friday and one for Saturday. I am thinking Insanity for Friday morning and perhaps some kickboxing on Saturday. We will be in A/C this weekend and coming home Sunday so I really won't have time to work out that day before we leave and doubt I'll do it when I get home. Then Monday starts the rotation-3 days of cardio in a row-but it's still considered the start of my STS rotation! Enjoy LIC today. It's low impact but sure packs a good punch! :)

Jacque:: Funny you should mention your tri's being sore from shoulder work. You have shoulder issues yes? Well I have recently complained of issues with my left shoulder which has lead me to rest my u/b until I start STS. One thing I definitely noticed in the last few u/b workouts I did is that the tricep on the same side as my cranky shoulder seems to be majorly affected. It is weaker then it should be and burning and failing MUCH quicker then the other side. I mean the difference is HUGE! There's got to be a connection there! I would love to do both u/b STS weight workouts over the weekend b/c they definitely take me longer then the legs do but I don't want to do both uppers back to back. I think it would be too much and affect my performance and results. Getting 1 upper plus legs outta the way over the weekend is good though. Only 1 w/o to worry about during the week and then the rest is cardio which is no problem to fit in since I have cardios that fit every possible time frame from 20 mins to over an hour! :D

Laura:: STS is a much bigger accomplishment to complete then the rotation I just finished! I hope I am able to complete STS this time around! I have been heavying up the weights-specifically for lower body and seem to be doing okay with it as far as not feeling bulky and bloated. I feel really good and my legs responded nicely to the December rotation! This gives me hope that I will be able to make it thru STS! I have my cardio on back to back days hoping the continuous 3 day cardio push will help off-set anything negative that the weight lifting might cause. Here's to hoping! :)

Hi Ladies,

I completed all of LIC and tacked on SuperSets Lower Body Blast. I used a 50# barbell and felt good with that weight. The lunges hurt my foot, the top of my shoe was rubbing on the incision site so I opted for hip lifts with 2 25# plates on my abs. I expect my legs and glutes to be seriously sore tomorrow.

I'm off to shower and the girls are wanting to take a bath.

Wendy .. I hate to ask what is the six week six pack?? is that Jillian's new ab DVD??? I looked at that on Collage ... looks like ab w/interval burst in between? Do I DARE ask .. is it worth buying :confused: :p

Wendy** Maybe 6 pack abs can be bought at walmart? I bought a yoga dvd from Jillian there...never know. Then again, all the workouts are probably gone by now cause people have bought them up with hopes that their new years resolutions are gonna come true! I have done a little online shopping the last couple of days...I think I need to put my credit card back in my purse. I think its b/c I am use to shopping for the last couple of months and now I am going through withdrawl! LOL You can keep your snow!:D I know its just a matter of time before it heads this way.

Diana** How long are the girls with you for? They must have been just as excited to see you guys! DS was picking at the water cooler when I was at my parents house and it was driving my father nuts! My dad doesn't really do anything with kids...he just sits and sleeps! DH's father on the other hand could spend a full weekend with kids and be fine. Tell me more about these books. I don't like eating things out of the norm but I do need more structure.

Laura** How was work today!? When I told DH my plan he said that he was soon gonna have to keep me inside all the time! LOL He also just said that he couldn't believe that we had to wait another year for Christmas again...I think he's lost it!

Alright...I will bb in the a.m. Today was a rest day and I plan on getting a good workout in tomorrow!
