Good Morning Girls.

I decided to take my rest day a day early in favor of sleeping in because I was up for a bit in the middle of the night. Hopefully I am not wiped out today for it. :rolleyes:

I can feel a twinge of mild DOMS so far but nothing bad. As the day progresses though one never knows what will happen! :p

I was the last to post yesterday so I have no personals to catch up on. I'll BBL to see what everyone is up to...

Good morning ladies !

Last night I did the first 7 intervals of IMax 2. Sharks were on TV, needed to review my ballot to vote, go vote and so w/o was from 7:45 - 8:30. Figured that was late enough to be working out - still had to eat dinner after that. Tonight will be PS legs & abs. Boy oh boy do I have DOMS in the bis/tris from 4DS the other night ! Legs were a bit DOMy too - can really tell I haven't done much of anything for a while ! :eek:

Wendy - Good deal about the scale and loose pants ! Way to go - nice when a rotation works well. We are startng to cool down here at night, gonna have a mild "heat wave" in the 70's for this week at least. I'm not ready for cold yet ! Takes me a while to get used to putting clothes on ! :p

Diana - Woo hoo on one of your fav classes starting again. Do take care though . . . sounds like you need to be careful and not push too hard. I know it is hard . . . but we just don't heal as quickly as we used to - fact of life.:confused: Let's not go there with bf% ! My Ormron doesn't change more than a % or so no matter what my weight or fitness level. The calipers don't work well for me since I don't have any fat over my hip bone - it totally underestimates - there is so much 'extra' in the legs and back end that doesn't get measured !:eek: Heck ! My computer at work is even names "pear" ! No kidding ! :rolleyes: Meso 2 is my fav also . . . might be fun to do that one again as a stand alone. Hmmmmmmmm . . . I still have 2 more weeks of this rotation to go - not sure how far I'll go - I really like your idea ! ;)

Laura - Way to go taking your frustration out on the weights. Same for me - my w/o's are the stress reliever and I can grunt for a good reason! ;) Hope today goes by fast for you at work - doesn't it seem like the first of the month comes every week lately??? Good to hear the shoulder is doing better - just doing light deadlifts the other day tweaked my back out again. I know better but . . . somehow feel if I strengthen the area I'll be better off. Guess I need to find a different way - even coughing hurts as I tighten my abs ! :( Oh well . . .

Lori - hope yesterday was not too bad for you . . .

Hi Ladies,

I've been tossing and turning all night long, UGH. I finally just decided to get up. I'm enjoying some coffee before I decide on a w/o. It's a cardio day and I'm leaning towards an Insanity w/o. Can't believe I just said that!

Loved STS disc 13 yesterday. I thoroughly expect to feel some serious DOM's. I'm doing cardio today and tomorrow and will hit Back & Biceps on Friday.

DH comes home today and I'm sure I will sleep much better then. He said him and the boys brewed 4 bottles (carboys) of beer. Not sure how long it will have to ferment before it can be either bottled or kegged.

Work has become quite stressful. One of the gals on our team is a manipulative, back stabing bitch. Harsh words I know..but well deserved. She's only been at the company for about a year and says she used to be a manager at her previous company. Well she knows how to play the game. She says all the right things and appears to be a team player...but she undermines her teammates all the time. There was an incident yesterday, thankfully it didn't involve me, but did involve another coworker that we all like. I've sent my manager emails regarding this manipulative employee, he probably thinks all us women are a bunch of drama queens! I'm hoping he will see that this manipulative gal is the bad apple, not the rest of us.

Wendy-enjoy your rest day today. What rotation are you following? Is the fullbody weights 2-3 times per week and cardio?

Laura-I'm giving my knee another week and if it's not better I'm definitely going to the dr. At this point I feel like they will just say don't exercise, or don't do anything that hurts it. It would be good to get a professionals view of what exactly this injury is and how long would it take to fully repair itself and stop hurting.

Jacque & Lori-What are you two ladies up to today?

It's hump day and I should be working from home. I have some unexpected meetings scheduled so will WFH tomorrow. I'm hoping to take a vacation day on Friday...and maybe shampoo our carpets with our new Kirby.

Jacque:: TY re the loose pants. I'm very happy. :) Good job with IMAX last night! Woot woot! Um, you will get no sympathy from me for having temps in the 70's. It's been freezing here in the mornings! :eek:

Diana:: Home made beer huh? That's right up my alley! I think that would be a fun thing to do! Do you ever drink beer? Glad you enjoyed your first meso 2 w/o. My rotation is 1-2 full body weight work outs per week (some are cardio/weight circuits, some are straight weight lifting) plus 4-5 days of cardio (mostly kickbox and step just cause that's what I am into right now) and 5 days of abs and based on working out 6 days per week. So sorry about the biotch you work with. I hate people like that. I've had to deal with that kind of cr@p and it's not fun. I too hope your mgr sees her for what she really is!
 
Diana - see we were posting about the same time ! ;) I hit the hay about 10 and woke around 3 myself. Staying in bed an hour and a half (only to let the bod rest while planned my workday in my head). Up and at 'em to check in here and hit the emails. Sorry to hear of your "team member" but so glad you are pitching in to make your observations known. Do you ever cc HR on issues such as this? I know you are a much larger corp but I always tell my managers/employees to let me know "off the record" just in case anything comes up or I hear the same 'story' from multiple people. Then I know we may have an issue. Hope that goes well for you.

I see what you mean about not seeing a dr just quite yet. Are you able to go to a sports med person? If I had to, I'd probably head that way with something such as your pains. My experience with general drs or urgent care is that they just send my to PT, which, actually, has helped a few times.

LOL - I was just checking out beer making kits at BB&B the other day. Not sure if DH would do it, but we've had friends who made beer and it was quite tasty. Thinking a small kit for Xmas might be in order just for the fun of getting him away from Hot Wheels for a few minutes ! ;) :p :eek: :rolleyes:

Wendy - I'm not looking for sympathy . . . actually bragging a bit even though Laura seems to have my sunny CA weather lately ! :cool: I will be working hard to "loosen" my pants now . . . 3 days of workouts in a row so far ! Woot Woot for me ! Man do I realize how much I missed it . . .

Off to get ready for work (even though I just spent an hour on emails already!)

Busy, busy........


DS had his speech apt yesterday morning, then I had two sessions yesterday...when I sat down last night to get online, DH had his laptop left at work:confused: So no checking in for me.

Yesterdays workout 4 miles on the TM, mixed in with some leg work. The day before that I did UB and a 9k run outside. Today I had to meet someone for a workout so I only had 30 mins for ME!:eek: What's this coming to?? So I did 3.5 miles on the TM.

I have two flights tonight, one at midnight and the other at 3:14 (BARF!) so I am going to come back and just stay here. What's the point in going home? Not only that my coworker was sick yesterday and I have twice the amount of work I normally would. I am plugging through it though and am almost done. Good thing is the phone isn't interupting me.

Wendy** Crossing my fingers that you are in pain before the day is over:p I thought I was gonna have some DOMS from the last two workouts but its just been my chest. My legs aren't even really feeling yesterdays workout. Oh well.....

Jacque** NIce workout. Have fun with PS legs tonight. Some of her older workouts are still goodies!

Diana** Ugh...sorry to hear work is still stressful for you. That girl needs to be put in her place. I am guessing b/c she claims she was manager at her last job she thinks she knows everything? Thats usually the way it goes.

MANIC WED :confused:

hey .. well .. It is crazy insane in here .. third of month .. I am helping out on front counter .. DOMS report: :confused: chest, shldrs, tris, core, butt :eek: :D changed up and it I taught 4 step class .. YIKES .. forgot how hard that was .. yes I did do pushups .. but did modify them .. my shldr did ok .. just ached a bit last night .. so it is still not healed .. gotta keep icing and resting and ibuprofen regimen up .. sigh ..

Wendy ... today is my rest day too .. no class ... and I am going home .. I have a forced PROJECT I have to do .. my dang rack in my closet fell .. so I am going to clean out the mess .. gonna gather anything me and DH have not worn in a year and it is going to go to goodwill

Jacque .. I think I took out too much frustration... I am really sore today .. but it is all good .. i was cautious w/the shldr .. but glad to see it not paining me like it was ..

Di .. OMG .. I hate those kind of new employees .. we have one here like that .. she wants to be mngr and thinks acting like one is gonna get her the job .. it is only ticking others off .. :mad:.. good luck .. those are hard to take and harder to deal with .. Jacque gave some good advise!

Lori ... man your hours suck!! geesh I dont see how you do it .. so you never really have a "normal" schedule do you??

soooo .. better jet .. so today I have CLOSET CLEAN MAX .. that will be MY workout .. LOL .. I dread it .. have a great one!!! :D
 
So sleepy! I still have another couple of hours before I am outta here!:( I don't think I will be working much tomorrow...if at all. I was here until 3:30 today and back at 12 and probably won't get out of here until 5. I think I might throw up a little bit!:(:(:(

Laura** Nice workout as usual. I know my hours suck and I am getting tired of it. I don't think I can handle much more. I am willing to bring a 3rd girl in and give her a couple of my shifts but I don't know if my coworker is game. Then again, she doesn't have as much on her plate as I do on mine.

Oh...I ordered the new workouts on Sunday! Can't wait to get them!
