ZWOW was fun and a killer!! luv that workout! Tonight will either be Warrior .. or another ZWOW mixer!!

Wendy - we are JUST BELOW the line i mean hairline fracture below the mess that is gonna hit .. we got a MONSOON of rain last night . the high today is 34 w/100% rain .. and to get a mix of sleet/ice and rain tonight .. low around 30 .. but right now they are not predicted it to ice over where we are YET!! they are watching it .. the county above us and to the East of us are predicted to get iced over .. soooooo??? that is how close we are to it .. ?? but no the northern part of our state is getting pounded as we speak!! I am afraid my Valentine stuff i ordered for everyone is gonna be delayed b/c of it too :mad::mad::mad:

Old Man Winter can kiss my rear end!!!! {{ humph }} this is ridiculous!!!

Di -Hope your household is feeling better - mine isnt .. he is horrible sick .. he started new antibiotics last night .. so hoping they kick in .. they are as big as horse pills they should do SOMETHING!!!

I am spending this snow storm in my house! No work for me! That being said, I will work out again today, do some food prep and study.

Laura:: Glad you are escaping the horror show that is the ice storm down there! We are getting pounded with snow right now. FUN! :p

I'm back! :)

I did the first metabolic workout from DROP TWO DRESS SIZES and it went like this::

15@30/30 of prisoner squats, squat thrusts, reverse lunges, prone hand touches and kb swings.

It was challenging but not overly taxing. Exactly what I was looking for!

The warm up for these workouts are long! Between all of the rolling and stretches I was warming up for about 30 minutes to do a 15 min work out! Of course that included reading time too so I knew what I was doing. A little time consuming but considering I am supposed to be doing yoga regularly and haven't been :eek:...I'll take it! ;)
 
Hi ladies,

I made myself finish the last disc of this STS rotation this morning! Now to figure out what to do next. I'm on day 24 of my 3rd round of the BR 30 day challenge (2013). I'm also on Day 8 of this years challenge. I just don't want to have to decide what to do in the morning. It's so much easier to just look the rotation and throw in the right disc.

The cleanse is going well. This is day 5 and I'm still going strong! I do grab a handful of nuts or eat some fruit if I get hungry and that seems to help.

I was down again at this weeks weigh in and have met my 10% goal. On my scale I have 11#'s to go to reach goal. It's a bit higher on the WW scale, clothed and everything.:confused: My jeans are loose and I've had to buy a smaller size. :D

Wendy-did you buy the TT book? That's what I have, but I haven't looked at it in a few years. Bad, I know. Sorry about all the snow. We are finally warming up and are in the 50's and should be 60's this weekend. What is the Spring Break Challenge entail?

Laura-my DH is feeling better, although he's been struggling with bouts of gout over the last 3 weeks. Stay warm and safe. I saw on the news they were already sending 60 crews from the Houston area to assist with the impending power line issues and power outages.

My son has a delayed opening this morning so if I am staying home with him I will exercise in a bit. If he can go over his friends house until school starts so I can get my arse to work on time, I'm calling it a rest day so...

:D So I started the OFFICIAL detox/cleanse thing on Monday and the scale is already down 3.6#! :D

Ok, I couldn't find anyone who was available to watch DS and get him to school so since I had the extra time I did the next TT work out. :)

5 @ 20/40 for each set of exercises with 1 min rest between each set.

set #1: jumping jacks, squats, t-push ups, squat jumps, prisoner lunges.
set #2: push ups, prisoner squats, in and out abs (they call them squat thrusts), duck unders, burpees.
set #3: seal jumps, spiderman climbs, tgu's, side steps, run in place.
set #4: split shuffle, side to side jumps, side plank r, side plank l, total body extension.
set #5: side step, close grip push ups, lateral lunges, mountain climbers, seal jumps.

I worked from home today and did my workout at lunch time. It was ano-ther of the BR challenges. I'm looking for a lower body rotation, any suggestions?

Wendy-sounds like the delayed start worked out good for you, or your workout anyway.;) Way to go on the weightloss. :D I'm only down 2.2#'s but will take it. I hope my BF% ins't going up though. I'm not sure how to maintain my STS muscle if I'm not eating much protein. We are adding in grains next week, oatmeal & quinoa. One of the local gyms in my area has a similar program that they run periodically throughout theyear. One of them is called Project Me, the other is more the format of your gym.

Di:: Yeah, the late start was great for my work out but not for my planned rest day! LOL You asked about TT. It's not the book. It's an online format and it's called Home Work Out Revolution. It gives you material you can print out on exercises, rotations etc as well as videos of every work out. Lots of stuff for $27!!!! Love it! :D 2.2# loss in a week is great! Losses are always faster in the beginning and then slow down as you get closer to your goal. I remember when I was on WW, it was great until I was down to the last few pounds...OMG...IT...TOOK...FOR...FREAKING....EVEEEEERRRR for them to come off!:rolleyes:
 
Hi Ladies,

I'm going to take a stab at putting together my own Lower Body/Glute Rotation. The ones I looked at didn't include GS Legs, one of my favorite leg w/o's.

Today I did GS Legs, 100 Hip lifts with 50#bb: 50 torso elevated, 50 feet elevated, then 25 non weighted hip lifts feet flat on floor, 25 single leg w/ feet elevated, 25 both feet elevated. After that I did Core Cardio Circuit!

I purchased the week 2 cleanse foods at Sprouts today and only spent $57.70! Tomorrow will be prep/cook as much ahead of time as possible.

Busy weekend with no time to work out but I will definitely do something today. My only other plan is cooking for the week.

Di:: That's a nice small grocery bill! Love that! I shop at Aldi for as much as I can b/c it's soooo much cheaper then other stores. If I had to shop at Pathmark every week for all of the food for the detox/cleanse menus I'd be broke...and dead too coz my husband would kill me!:eek:
 
Hi Ladies,

My family is all off work/school today, but not me, not a holiday for me. I wrote up my rotation and feel pretty good about it. I'm already considering a few changes to it. There are 5 days left in the BR challenge and I want to finish. I'll be changing the rotation a bit to fit them in.

I'm back to wanting to purchase P9X3. I bought the oxygen magazine and there is an article about. I wouldn't be able to do the full 90 day rotation before tri training starts, but I could get in 2 months.

Hey ..

had a good weekend - DH finally getting a bit better .. I think I may have escaped getting it!! I HOPE!!! SAT I did Cathe tri sets lower body andwow .. FRIED my lower body .. I was so sore ystdy .. yikes .. we finally had a nice weather weekend and got some much needed yard work done!!

I had another dentist check up - my nontooth is healing good and jaw looking good they said ... scheduled for the implant/screw next .. :confused:

this week we should have mild temps .. and I am SO EXCITED .. it is such a nice change!! makes me realize I need to stop goofing off and get my @$$ together and loose my winter FLUFF/PUFFand STUFF .. :eek:

Wendy - WTG and the cleanse I have a coworker doing one.. she is on day one .. i have my doubts about her finishing .. LOL .. but wishing her luck!

Di - glad your DH is better ... no holiday for me either .. we are working and it is still busy .. I dont know where they come from!!

TT 18 minute bodyweight workout::
4@10/20 - Single Arm Elevated Push Ups
8@10/20 - Total Body Extensions
8@10/20 - Side Planks ...
4@10/20 - Jumping Jacks
8@10/20 - Running in Place but I subbed in Speed Squats.
4@10/20 - Spiderman Climb

Then I also did the optional bonus that was listed...
The Take Away Challenge:
10 reps of any squat and any push up...then 9...8...7...until you get to 1 of each. I chose goblet squats and 2 hand elevated push ups on an upside down bosu.

I was going to work out this morning but I woke up in the middle of the night not feeling well. It kept me up a while so I slept in this morning. Feeling Ok now thank goodness except for DOMS!

Hi Ladies,

I'm doing GS C&B this morning. I'm on day 10 of the cleanse it's still going fine. Although I haven't lost any weight in several days. Oh well. I normally eat plenty of fruits and veggies anyway, but not as much as this cleanse calls for.

I was reviewing my rotation and realized there are not rest days, working out 7 days/week. I don't normally plan my rest days, but try to get 1 day off about every 6-10 days. I fully believe your body needs a complete rest day or lose the benefits of all your hard work.

Wendy-I just checked out the TT HWR. I'm only finding it for $67. Perhaps your $27 was a typo. If not, can you send me the link. Definitely interested. :)

Laura-glad your DH is feeling better. I escaped catching my DH's cold too!:D Tri-sets, haven't done that one in quite a while. What is your opinion on P90X3. I'm considering buying it. I really like the 30 min format.

BEen on interview panel all day today .. boy that makes for LOOONG day!! Ystdy was ZWOW #14 - a doozy~~ thinking tonight will be combat or Warrior!

Di - I LUV P90x3 - you know I luv the 30 min workouts .. but unlike the other P90x he does not waste any time in these .. he packs a LOT in those 30 minutes - it is very controlled and very organized .. and it is a lot of balance moves - core stability moves - a lot of combo moves - to me it is the best P90X ... and especially love it is only 30 minutes!!

Wendy - great TT workout .. looks awesome!!

Hi Ladies,

Leg day is upon me. I'm doing one of the BR Leg w/o's today since it's a circuit and I like to get in some kind of cardio on my weigh in days.

I fell off the cleanse wagon a bit yesterday as I was starving all day. I'm going to attribute it to bootcamp class Monday night, weights Tues Morning and a blood donation that morning. I ended up eating a granola bar (not terrible) and some m&m's.:confused: I also added half an avocado to my dinner salad last night. I'm not that upset about it though and I'm back on track today.

Well Laura, that seals the deal....definitely ordering P90X3 probably next month.

We owe on our taxes this year, ugh, first time ever. We lost the child credit since DS is 17. It's not terrible, but definitely want to make some changes so we come closer to breaking even next year.

Di:: $27 wasn't a typo. I got it on sale. :) They run sales pretty frequently I think so bookmark the site and check back often. Sorry about your tumble off the wagon but you have the right attitude! Get right back up, brush yourself off, climb back on and keep on goin'! :)

Hi Ladies,

Rest morning for me today. I'm so exhausted and have been for the last couple days. Probably due to a combination of the aggressive rotation I put together and blood donation.

My weight was up a tad yesterday, .4, not terrible, but not the direction I want to be going. This is day 12 of the cleanse for me. I haven't been tracking on WW while doing this cleanse, but I may try to get the points values of some of the meals this weekend and update my online tracker. I do want to know if I'm within my points value.

Wendy-thanks for the info. Definitely bookmarking the site and checking back. Who doesn't want a great deal!

Morning Ladies ..

Yesterday was day from H### - all the looney toons came in the office yesterday .. yikes!! TUE ended up doing Combat 60 - last night we did Warrior from P90x3 .. AWESOME!! DOMS: lats and into tris! and core is "twingy" ... today is heavy weights at the CC at lunch .. I have been trying to get there all week .. I am trying again today!! Tonight will probably be a premix from flextrain or combat Hiit ..

DI - dont mention taxes .. I hate to see what ours will be .. :( :mad: :( .. we are to get some super bad storms tonight .. we went from winter storms straight to warm summer like storms is is a humid 77 today :confused: go figure .. warnings of 60 mph straight line winds - hail - and tornados :confused:

Wendy - so you are loving the TT ??? yes go ahead and bite the bullet on P90x3 .. it is worth it .. there are prbly only 2 workouts in it that are "so so" .. how is your PT going??

Hi Peeps. :)

This morning I did an optional TT work out::

Ladder Circuit of Goblet Squats (I did these weighted), Close Stance Push Ups and Skaters. 8 of each exercise (16 for skaters to get 8 per leg), then 7-6-5-4-3-2-1 and then go back up 2-3-4-5-6-7-8. Minimal rest/as needed only. Took me 17 mins to complete. :) I used 30# for squats on way down the ladder and dropped to 25# on way up.

Laura:: I hear ya on the weather. Warming up majorly here too and we are supposed to get heavy rain and T-storms tmrw before it gets cold again next week with a chance of MORE SNOW!!!!!!!!!:confused: I am going to ask for P90X3 for my B'day! ;) Yes, loving TT but it only has one more week (4 weeks total) because I want to try Drop 2 Dress Sizes. Heheh. But hey, at least I am sticking to 4 week rotations as of late! I am doing extremely well for a person with Exercise A.D.D.! :p Job driving you crazy huh? I think you should consider a PT cert and then that paired with some group exercise could be a full time job for you and you can leave that insane asylum you work for! That's my plan! ;)

Di:: So are you going to purchase that meal plan thing you posted on FB? Sounds like the grocery bill could get expensive but I'll bet the recipes are delish! It definitely takes more planning/prepping but I gotta say, this style of eating is pretty darn tasty! I'm liking it a lot and think I will stick with it for the most part aside from the occasional splurge! :)
