***DAMAGE CONTROL***February

Hi Ladies,

I ended up doing a ZWOW-
Zuzana Light - ZWOW #4 2-9-2012 - YouTube

3 rounds-
50 Pendulums
20 burpees (I only did 10 each round)
15 ketllebell swings
10 twisted pushups
5 squats holding a broomstick overhead (used a 15# bodybar)
2 minutes jump rope (did high knees)

Welcome back Allee! Absolutely your are more than welcome to join us. Most of us are following the LIS/STS rotation, want to join us???

Wendy-P90X is a no nonsense, very effective program...I totally agree with you. STS is definitely more progressive (meaning you increase weights each week etc). I got good results from the X. The only thing I didn't like is theirs only 1 leg w/o and it gets old. I'm actually looking forward to my next rotation-P90X2.

1-8 with lots of modtifications. I didnt do Afterburn. Decided to save that for the weekend.

WED - hump day

Morning ladies!

WELL it was in full swing insanity at the asylum ystdy - YIKES whatta day .. I didnt leave to late b/c of all the drama .. UGH!!! but anyway - I managed to go home .. visit w/my DM, DA, DN, DB, DSIL and then go home to a mini date night w/DH .. :D .. yes it was NICE!!! DN was sooooo excited ... and was having a blast!!! DH cooked a nice steak and we had a little romance too!! {{insert satisfied evil grin}} :eek:

I am surprised I am NOT hurting today .. figured I would be from heavy weights - my arms are still tight from MY own torture .. well Cathe HR torture SUNDAY!!! :confused:

Wendy - I LOVE Tony - yes it is no nonsense (except his off beat humor) workout - no bells and whistles - and yes it is totally refresing when you havent done his workouts in a while - and me and SIL both had GREAT results w/p90x when we did it - I had great results w/STS too .. but yes totally different concepts of workouts!!

DI - WOW - you workout HARD when you dont feel good - crap girl!!! dont over do and get sicker!!!

Allee - OF COURSE - welcome back!! We missed you - hope your family drama subsided and everything is looking up for you!!

Lori - yes I may have slipped in a purchase of LULU :eek: and looking to purchase again :confused: :D

OK .. sooooo I MAY fit in a walk/run at lunch - it will have to be shorter tho b/c I didnt bring my lunch - and me and SIL are gonna do either AB or a short BR cardio and then tackle UB or LB tri sets (my stomach sinks thinking about working my arms again :confused:)

Diana:: I am doing very well w/not getting tempted to stray from LIS/STS by BR and Zuzanna so far so why must you post that you did one of the work outs!?! :p LOL Just kidding! Good job! Gotta love 'em! :) IIRC, I added in some extra leg work when I did the X as well.

Allee:: Great job with CSS! I wasn't impressed with that work out upon preview but quickly became a fan once I tried it! :D

Laura:: Glad you and DH managed a little romance last night. ;) I love Tony's sense of humor...Aww heck, let's face it! I just love Tony! :p Now I see why you are resisting my enable to buy a new work out! It's because you want more LuLu Lemon in your life! :D
 
Hi Girls

Im waiting for DH to arrive home..with supper. I think everyone is having mcds besides me of course:confused:

I had a good workout this morning. I did 30 mins on the TM and 4DSBC. I haven't done that one in forever! I also did some ab work. Im not sure what I will do tomorrow.

Wendy** I may have to look into those workouts then. I never did use Insanity much and I always fear buying something that isn't a cathe workout cause I tend to not use it! Everyone needs some lulu in their lives...have you bought any yet?:D

Allee** They took me back after my nice long break...Im sure they will welcome you back with open arms as well:) I use to check in a few months back but found out I was pregnant and didn't have much to report so I kind of disappeared. Now I am back in action!

Laura** Hope you got your workout in today!

Diana** Hope your feeling better! Nice workout today!

I wasn't having a very good day earlier. DD and I haven't really spoken since yesterday cause she chewed my head off for no reason. DS1 was being bad yesterday and today he wasn't good at preschool. So that, plus hormones, I felt like everything was falling apart. I feel better now though, even though nothing as been resolved! DS was in his room for a while today, hopefully he snaps out of whatever it is he is going through.

Good Morning Ladies.


I am going to be tired today. Slept fine until about 3am but then that was all she wrote. :( I stayed in bed until 4:30 when my first alarm went off and then figured I better get up coz with my luck I'll fall back to sleep 5 minutes before I HAVE to get up at 5. :rolleyes:


Today's work out will be Afterburn. Did this one last Thursday too. It's one of those work outs that I love to hate and hate to love! LOL


So no DOMS from y'day's P90X work out! What's up with that!?!? I'm actually disappointed that I am NOT in pain!:p

I received the X-train Fit program in the mail y'day. I want to preview it but I'm afraid the temptation to stray from my current rotation will be too great so I'm not going to look yet...I swear! ;)

Lori:: Go to www.xtrainfit.com to check out the program I bought. For $30 and free shipping I had to go for it!

Allee:: Yes-have fun shopping! :) Lulu is too rich for my blood. I buy my work out clothes at Target and Kohl's. :p

Morning Girls!

Now DH is sick too, poor guy. You know what they say, misery loves company!

I'm on schedule today and will be doing Athletic Training. Having not worked out for a while after my surgery I can't really remember these workouts. I've done this one at least once before, but it still feels new to me. Good thing it's not difficult choreography.

Wendy-sorry about your not sleeping...that totally sucks. The nyquil capsules seem to be helping me sleep through the night! I'm with you, my w/o clothes come from Target and Kohl's too! I'm guessing the DOM's will kick in soon enough, no fear.

Decided to change it up just a bit by doing an AB premix... Double Trouble (51 mins)...Wow. It kicked my butt just as hard as the original if not more!:eek: Loved it! ;)

Di:: Oh no! Sorry DH is sick now. Hope you both feel better soon! Enjoy AT. It's a goodie. This whole series is excellent! I am loving it more then the last several she's put out for sure and yes that even includes STS! :eek:

Lori:: Oh boy you are one of those "Cathe snobs" I see! :rolleyes::D Don't even pay attn to what I have to say about the X-Train system coz you won't like it anyway! :p Nope-I can't justify spending that much money on work out clothes but trust me I spend A LOT on my fitness habit! I just spread it around a bit more! :D Enjoy your Lulu Lemon and I'll enjoy my crazy equipment and all of my NON-CATHE dvds! :p LOL Just bustin' chops girl!
 
THURS - one step closer to weekend - woot woot!!

Morning Ladies!

SOOOOO ... last night I decided we would do a BR-ish/Laura cardio blast before doing Tri Sets .. I did 50 second rounds of:
High knees / ab knee lifts on station
High knees/Ab V lifts on station
High knees/reverse push ups on station
High Knees/Knee in altn down to side
w/10 second rest between
We worked up a good sweat - then we did TRi-sets - LB .. this was both our first times doing that workout .. WOW ... NOT what I expected . . it was different than her normal leg workouts and boy did we both feel it in our core too .. GREAT workout!!!!! We were pouring sweat - DOMS: core and butt :D

Di -man hate the DH is sick now - that is the way it goes tho - I cant believe the workouts you have been churning out while sick girlie .. geesh!!! Hope you both feel better soon!

Wendy - I KNOW you are gonna cave and have to preview those workouts ... of course from one enabler to another .. DO TELL!!!!! :D:D :p:p:p

Allee - yes LULU Lemon is athletic wear - yes it is more expensive .. but man the quality and fit is so far above anything else I have tried .. GREAT for running or athletic workouts .. the fabric doesnt bunch up or move ... and the fit is awesome!!!

Lori .. dont listen to Wendy ... :p .. WE know our lulu is worth it .. problem is i buy lulu AND every knew exercise DVD that comes out :confused::confused::confused: :p:D

OK .. better run .. we are having a LASAGNA lunch to raise money for Cancer Societ today .. OH YA .. you know I will be eating that!!! :eek: Tonight will be another BR-ish/Laura cardio blast then we will do Tri SET UB
think tonights blast will be rounds of:
Plyo lunges/Knee Ins station
Plia Plyos/Alnt knee over station and lunge back (repeat 2 times)
Jump squats/V knee ins on station
Ski jumps/Knee in – then down to side

All Front Knee Raises broken down into the following 6 sets for a total of 60 reps:

15 reps
15 reps
10 reps
10 reps
5 reps
5 reps
 
Hi Ladies,

Let me just say I thought I was going to DIE doing AT this morning. OMG, the cardio kicked my a$$...no joke. Some of it was due to my cold and some due to not having the cardio capacity....but I'm working my way back up. I hate to admit but I had to take a few breaks to catch my breath and was quite happy when the weight work started.

Seriously, all of you with your BR type w/o's...way to rock it!!! I need to focus on my lower body and may give this BR w/o a try tonight after bootcamp class: BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv
Not sure I would do the whole thing, 10 reps, 9 reps etc until you get to 1, but definitely need some lower body work. Not to mention, Sean is pretty easy on the eyes if YKWIM!!

Wendy-Nice ab work missy!!! I love the dip station, it is much more versatile than I expected.

Laura-I see you are taking full advantage of the dip station, nice job. How is DSIL since her surgery? Hopefully she is doing great! Love all your w/o add-on's since you are super woman!!!:p

Allee-sorry you hate Thursdays...booh! Sorry I can't remember, what kind of work do you do? Look on the bright side...Tomorrow is Friday!!!

Diana:: AT is a tough work out and you are starting behind the eight ball since having your surgery as you said. Don't get discouraged. Keep up the good work and you will get there! Love the looks of the BR you are considering doing! Let me know how you like it! I will not be doing it though! Not for a while anyway! :p Thanks re my ab routine this morning. I love my dip station! I use it when doing Turbo Barre instead of setting up my tower. It serves the same purpose and saves set up/break down time! :)
 
Hi Girls:)

Been kept going all day. Im sitting here nursing DS while waiting for DH to come home so we can go out for supper.

I had a good workout earlier. I did 40 mins on the TM and the 4DSKB. I am going to my parents tomorrow so it would be nice to get a FB workput in and cardio.

Diana** Sorry to hear DH is sick. KB kicked my butt today but not b/c I have the cold:( Just cause I have some getting back into shape to do!

Wendy** LOL...I havent had a chance to look at your workouts! Stop over reacting:eek: I did look at the butt lifting workout again last night and was gonna order it but then I started reading the reviews and couldnt decide what to do. So I held off.....maybe I will order another tank top instead;)

Allee** Hope today wasnt to crazy for ya!

Laura** So you have two bad habits;) Lulu and new workouts! TBH I have to many kids that I shouldn't be buying either one of it! LOL But hey...mama gotta look good!!

Good Morning Ladies and Happy Friday!;)

Gearing up to knock Slide n Glide outta the park, finish packing and hit the road! Gotta drop my son off at my MIL's and then we are outta here! :D Going to hit an outlet mall on the way down to the casinos (Atlantic City) to do some shopping at the request of my DH of all people! Just one reason why I ADORE this man! :D;):p:) May also hit a winery we like to stock up since we will be in the area. Final destination is expected to be reached between 3-4 this afternoon. Good times ahead! :D

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I'm coming home Monday but you may not hear from me until Tuesday morning since no more work outs are planned until then anyway...

TGIF!!!

Hi Ladies,

My body is so sore this morning so I'm taking advantage of the scheduled rest day. Yah know how I said I needed to work legs, well the glutes, hammies and calves are pretty sore this morning. I think all this soreness is a combo of Zuzana, AfterBurn, firewalkers from Athletic Training and bootcamp class last night. On top of that, this cold is moving into my chest making hard for me to breath.

I took a vacation day for Monday and am getting a hydrafacial. The rest of my family is already off work/school.

Wendy-have a fun long weekend! I've never done slide n glide yet, but see that its in the rotation for next week. hmmm-spending time with DH, shoppping, wine, gambling, sounds like making for a fab weekend!:D

Lori-I'm trying to get back in shape too....no cardio since mid December and my cardio endurance is shot. I'm working way back up to it and so will you!!

Hi Allee & Laura, do either of you have plans for the long weekend???
