Good morning!
Well! I'm very pleased! I did KPC and SH Legs this morning, and it felt great!!! I modified KPC by just overall keeping my exertions between 60-80%, which meant essentially just not putting as much "oompfh" into the moves. I gotta say - it's really fun when you're not trying to knock yourself out! I also substituted light shuffles for the "jump roping" to protect my pelvic floor muscles, which are feeling weaker right now. I lowered my weight in SH Legs by 5-10 pounds, so my heartrate wouldn't sky rocket, as it usually does. This allowed me to focus on my form, and I really think I got a great workout, even without the heavy weight. So overall I feel like I got a really thorough advanced workout, but am not exhausted from it. KPC is a great workout for being able to be done at different levels, depending on what you want to put into it.
Laurie Mac - glad you noticed the second check in thread. You appear to be doing a SH rotation this week, too! 10-10-10, ugh! It's an intense little workout, but possibly my least fav of the CTX series. The double ricochets are very tricky, and I'm not sure I do them very well. Do you like them?
Katie - I love the name Madison! Do you call her Maddie? That's really nice that your birthdays are one day apart; she'll never forget your birthday! What are your plans for her party? Small? Big? Your own birthday plans sound really nice, too. Is this the first time you've spent an entire night away from her?
Lisa - I would hardly say 42 is old! It's only 7 years older than me, so you're still a spring chicken. Hmmmm. 7 years older than me, your child is 20, mine is 4 1/2. My, peoples' lives take entirely different paths, don't they?
Wendybdh - you mentioned doing the Tammilee workout in the morning. I thought you didn't workout in the mornings? Are you starting to change things up a bit?
Sandy - Yesterday I meant to say (but didn't) that I did the yogazone workouts for you, because you were so nice about getting sick for me. I thought it was a fair trade

And? Did you do them? Am I right, or am I right?
Jes - if bad fashion taste is all you're after, then I've gone through my share of questionable styles. Probably the goofiest was when I had my hair done like Sabrina's on Charlie's Angels. At one point she had a hairdo that looked like on of those Russian fur hats; straight and flat on the top, parted down the centre, then really tight curls around the sides of the head. I was in about grade 2 or 3 when she did that. I got a perm around the sides of my head, but not on top, so I could look like her. At the time it was very hot stuff, but now I think it's just a ridiculous hair style! Sorry, but this is the best I can do. Sandy's hair incident sounds much more hilarious. What are you going to do with dead legs? Why, BootCamp, of course! Cathe purposely put this week's workouts in this order because she knew your legs would be dead by now - and she's challenging you to kick it up a notch. This is a really effective rotation for increasing your endurance, but of course you're smart enough to know your own limits and not push yourself into an unsafe zone. And when you think about it, there's only 10 minutes of cardio in the workout, and "you can do anything for a minute!" I've decided to respond to personal emails in the evenings, because it was cutting too much into my work time.
Marla G - CW and half of IMAX2 is a great workout! Jes's original hair story was posted on the open discussion forum, not on the daily check in. Somehow it crept over here.
Oh Carole!!! I would definitely want to strangle my husband if he asked me that kind of question after a race! What is it about men and their need to be so competitive with others?
Wendymin72 - oh, good, I'm glad to hear you like the SF stretching. There's nothing like a good stretch, is there? Enjoy PowerMax tonight!
I'm going to the doctors' this morning to find out why my fingertips have suddenly started going numb more often, and in more than just my one fingertip. I think it might be related to increased amounts of estrogen, but want to get a medical opinion. Then I have to go grocery shopping. The temp right now is -25C, with a -40C windchill. I'd much rather stay here in my cozy fleece pajammas and goof away the morning on the internet. Oh well, such is the life of a grown-up.
Take care!
Sandra
