MM upper body premix and abs today. This is my only upper body wo this week. I feel like I'm cheating!

The entire family went to Red Lobster for DH's dinner last night. My meal wasn't too bad - salmon, crab legs, broccoli, salad - it was the dessert that hurt me - apple turnover with ice cream. Oh, and I had to taste DS's chocolate cake. So, my stomach feels yucky now. I was bloated to begine with. (TTOM)

Annette - you go girl - keep it up!

Heather - so sorry for your loss. How old is your friend's son?

Phyllis, I'm sure you'll survive last night's meal!}( Up until y'day I was eating pretty poorly for days myself as the day I was going to go food shopping was the day the storm hit!x( I just hadn't had the chance to go after that! I am definately suffering the consequences of the bad eating. It's amazing what cr@ppy food will do to you and you just don't realize it until you need clean for a while!:)

I am on a short break from the X right now. I have a cold so I just don't have the strength to be X-like at this time. LOL Y'day I did Step Blast. Today I am considering a spin class but if I go I will take it easy...

Jane, where are you? Hope you are okay this morning.

Phyllis, I wish I'd been to Red Lobster with you last night. Your meal sounds fantastic! No guilt, just a cleaner eating day today.

Ha! Listen to me, I've been eating bad for days! PMS and I am craving carbs and junk food.

Heather, how awful about your friend. I'm so sorry for your loss.

How bad is a cardio and weights type workout 2 days in a row? Yesterday was SJP & SS and today I'm thinking of doing something similar again just to get back on schedule on the rotation?
Is it okay to do??
And any suggestion on a workout other than C&W or LIC ? That's already on the rotation several times. Has anyone been creative and made up their own? (I'm thinking Step works, pausing to do CTX U/B in segments or something like that)

Wendy I so admire your sticking with the P90X workouts like you are! I have them all and have never done a rotation. Just can't stand the thought of that long away from Cathe! Do you miss her workouts and her smiling face??

Well for some reason I am chatty today.
Guess I was recharged by watching my GS yesterday. What a bundle of joy and energy that one is !!!

Becky, Yes, I miss Cathe but I am actually doing a Cathe leg work out once a week with the X so I am getting a "fix". }(

Hmmmm.....that's a good idea Wendy. I like it.

I wonder if there's a way to do the X that is like I am doing Cathe's workouts right now.....
Mostly upperbody, cardio and no heavy leg workouts.
I want to do legs with no weights or floorwork only.
My back can't take barbells on my shoulders, squats, lunges and deadlifts .

That's not so bad for me anyway, as my leg tend to be bigger and gain muscle & bulk easily. A lot of the heavier weights made them bulk up even more, which isn't the look I'm going for !

The X's leg work out is not done with heavy weights. In fact...several of the moves are done with NO weights at all! I think it's a perfect work out for someone who works legs light! I work 'em light as well. You can leave out the weights on any leg exercise you wish. I think you should go for it!}(

Phyllis: Dinner sounded delish!:9:9 Now, get back on track! LOL...my eating has been a train wreck lately too. I think we all have the end of winter blues.

Becky: I think two circuit-like workouts back to back would be okay as your not lifting heavy.

Annette: Good job on the consecutive workouts!

Conni: I'm still debating if I'm going on the road trip. Great workouts for you as usual. I always love your creativity.

Heather: (((HUGS))), (((HUGS))), and more (((HUGS))). I'm so sorry to hear of your sad news. I will say a prayer for you and your friends' family.

I bought the Ripped workouts based mainly on your enthusiastic posts about them (and yes, I love them too!!) and now I am being swayed into starting the X !!!}(

Of course, I have to finish this rotation and then .....ugh, yes, I will see what Cathe puts out for April. That's what always gets me. But I'm going to seriously give this some thought. I HAVE P90X, now maybe I should consider USING it !ha:eek: ;-)

Good morning ladies!

I'm off today hence my late post. I slept until 7:35 this morning after going to bed at 9 last night and I feel much better. Thank you for your prayer for my FIL and friend. FIL goes back to the doctor on April 2nd to find out when his surgery will be scheduled. My friend.... well....she has went through a life-changing event and her life will never be the same. I'm going to stand by her and do what I can but really nothing will fix the situation she is in. She is just going to have to learn to live the life she has now. I don't want to give details but the situation is of her doing and she is paying a heavy price.

Phyllis - it sounds like you did an excellent job at RL even with the dessert. Hey it's DH's birthday!! Live a little. Now if I could just convince myself that everyday isn't someone's birthday, I'd be in better shape!:p


Wendy - hope you feel better. I have P90X too, but like Becky, I've never used it as a rotation. Only done a few workouts here and there.

Becky - I think SW and CTX UB mixed together as a circuit is an excellent idea. I believe Cathe has used circuits back to back before, and I believe this is okay as long as you are keeping it light and not sore.

Tammy - I thought I saw you in the train wreck;) ;) My eating has been all over the place... good for a couple of days and then down in the pit again and I am paying dearly for it. I need to gain control again and actually keep it. It is so hard when you are an emotional eater though. What a beautiful name! Congratulations

I did a hodge podge today for my workout. It was my lower body day, sooo I did 24 min. of Billy's Lower Body Bootcamp with ankle weights on, then I did PLB floorwork with ankle weights then I did MIS abs with that wonderful cross leg stretch that I LOVE!!!:D

It was a good workout.

Hi everyone,

Better late than never, yes? I didn't have much time this morning so I wanted to do Pam Cosmi's step tape. The darn dvd stuck in the middle of the warm up, I was furious. I had to think quick because I didn't have alot of time now so I grabbed Amy's ASC and jumped to the first combo, did the rest of it and did ab hits. I hate those kinds of mornings!!!

We've all had workouts like that and I hate it too!!
I think you made a good save though.;-)

My workout turned out to be totally different than I'd planned too.
I was looking at the rotation thinking it was Friday.....so that messed me all up.
I ended up doing a walk/jog for 45 minutes on the TM while watching the (taped) season premiere of WORKOUT. Anyone else watch that??
 
Evening folks... even though I had the day off for working this weekend, still had to go in for a meeting today because of a demo they had on the new system we are getting. That meeting ran over two hours!! I was paid for it but I'm use to those 30 to 45 minute meetings!

Heather - I just read your post from last night. Thank you so much for your unending prayers.

I did about 70 minutes of a Rob Glick's Amazing Step Styles(or something like that;-) too lazy to go in there and look at the cover again). It runs 75 minutes but I just did the w/u and combos 1 and 2 continually backing it up until I had those two combos nailed. I haven't really got into that workout since I got it and glad I had the opportunity today. I really like his style.

I still have Core Max and TBS to do and I'd better get at it. It is 10 til 8 and close to my bedtime!
