Good Saturday Morning Friends,

Busy weekend around here. Both DH and I are working half the day (private practices) today so we need to rope the kids into doing all the chores. Let's see how that goes over.

Lots of rest days yesterday.

Today I did Rippedism chest/shoulders + TT2 - lower body/abs workout. The TT2 workout was so touch I could barely get through the rippedism workout. I did my own weighted standing abs. My body is seriously changing with these methods. My body looks pretty amazing to me and I turn 50 in a couple of months. I might just wear a bikini this summer :)

P.S. I cannot eat dairy (only goat), soy or wheat without having some kind of reaction. Luckily, I am not affected by red wine!

This morning I did Hammer Power, which I should have done yesterday. Today was meant to be Chisel Balance, but I have already tried that one so I decided to do Hammer Power and I am glad I did. 38min of powerlifting, building up the moves. A very good workout and quite an impressive burn for lifting. My max and avg HR were also around the same as for more or less steady state cardio like the Stepboxing I did Thursday.

After finishing it and dripping with sweat I still had some time over so I popped in Turbo Jam Kick, Punch and Jam... The wrong dvd I had received in the mail yesterday. I did the first 40 min and then when she added tubing I ran out of time so that was fine. It was a good cardio, but you can clearly tell it is the older sister/brother to TurboFire. Not as good quality, studio etc, but the moves really aren't all that different. The warm up is even the same. So for anyone that owns TurboFire and was considering adding TurboJam to the collection, don't bother. It's not really worth it. I guess not all dvds can be winners and if I had never done TurboFire than TurboJam might have gotten a better review from me.

Back to H&C. Despite not being "Cathe Fun" I am really enjoying it. Part of me wants to try the meal plan too... Using the 7 colored containers so I can really get chiseled/ripped, but another part of me enjoys just eating regular stuff and with my busy schedule I don't really have it in me at the moment to do all that meal prep as well as cooking other food for the family. Maybe one day... Would be nice to see even more definition.

I actually managed a workout on a Saturday.

I did the first 26 minutes of Powerstrikes then the 8 Minute Taebo. So not bad for a Saturday workout. Have a great weekend ladies.
 
Good saturday all, today I did Cathe's High Step Challenge. Quite tough, with a lot of band work I don't like very much. I am true to Cathe, I am happy enough with the body results I,ve reached so far, allthough I don't always eat super clean. If I did I would lose those 1,5, 2 kgs still missing and that would be perfect. But with such a stressful life it is so difficult to give up some comfort food now and then!
Ceci I believe you could wear a bikini right now! I'm pretty sure, yes! Have a nice week end!

Yay! on loving that body you've earned Siobhan. :) You know what's weird? I have never had any weight issues but have also never worn a two piece? I ought to try it sometime. I am okay with nudity, but I dunno, never felt comfortable enough to wear a bikini. I think it's because of my blothcy skin and that my skin hates the sun.
Speaking of looking good, hope you had fun in your heels and new skinny jeans Annette! ;)
I agree totally Sandy, we have to indulge sometimes. Where is the joy of life without some indulgence now and then. I am going out for (vegan) ice cream tonight! lol. There are some things I cannot give up.
I've been ovo-vegetarian nearly all my adult life, although lately I have taken to goat yoghurt as I know where it comes from and I find it to be a really solid, healthful food. High in protein as well. Siobhan, sorry about the dairy allergy, but yeah, the goat yoghurt is great!

Today, I did High Reps LB & added in some of those T's with band + light weight to get in some back work. High Reps always makes me sweat!!
 
oooh look at us all working out! Elsie - have never worn a bikini - not even as a kid. I am too self-conscious. I wear tankini's 'cos they still cover everything. I would love to lose 10 pounds. It sounds like a lot but it would allow my muscles to pop out - right now they are hiding - except for biceps, shoulders and legs. Abs/chest/back need more work which I am just not doing. I can't be bothered :(

Today I did ICE Rock'm Sock'm Kickbox. What a cute name. I was bored by the last drill so I jumped to the blizzard blast (amazing) and finished with her abs (they were tough for me).

It is indeed great how we are all working working out and so consistently.

Today I did H&C Hammer Conditioning 30 min. Once again a really good workout. I am really happy with the H&C w/o. They work me real hard. Afterwards I wanted to do some additional leg w/o's from H&C, but turns out they weren't in the version I bought so I added KCM Split series w/o 2, lower body. It was one from the 30min series I had not yet tried, but it was only 23 min. Nevertheless, once again a good weights w/o and afterwards I had to rush to go to the bball game so it worked out fine that it wasn't 30 min.

I don't think my body has been bikini ready since before I had my son and then I was too self conscious to really wear a bikini. Now I wear one a couple of weeks each year when we are away, still not 100% happy with it... But I always look around and see the shapes of other moms around and realize I may not have a perfect bikini figure, but it could be a lot worse. I think I w/o enough to get quite ripped, but have a layer covering many muscles due to not eating clean.

Good Sunday everybody! Today I did Imax2 the step combos only, then I wanted to do one of the yoga max premixes but, oh my...., I found it so slow and annoying that I gave up. Yoga works like a stretching session for me but this one was really boring. Or maybe I was not in the mood for this one today, as I was short of time. From next week I would like to go back to my three days stength and three days cardio routine but I will have quite a busy schedule so we will see what comes out.
I normally wear bikinis, everybody does in Italy. I'm not perfect but as Henriette says, it coud be much worse.
 
I just walked today. Went to see Fiddler on The Roof ..oh what a performance full of heart it was!! Had a wonderful time & then went for Japanese Hot Pot.
Thought I might do a tabata workout tonight, but I am too tired.
