Good Saturday Morning Friends,

Final weekend for personal taxes. My DH is exhausted!

Today I did TT2 - a leg/shoulder workout for 30 minutes + Rippedism Cardio Carver 2 - lots of up and down + plyo moves.

Henriette - I agree - gyms are all about sales.

Have a great day everyone. I have a couple of clients today and a mom's brunch with the church tomorrow. I just learned my parish priest is leaving. sniff sniff. love that guy! he is retiring.

Hi all!

I decided not to wait any longer with getting Cathe Live as I already spend so much time reading reviews and checking them out on Youtube and they all look so good.

I signed up and was good to go. I used my mobile and chromecast and it worked perfectly. Absolutely no hiccups whatsoever.

I did Steptastic as my first live w/o. A lot of fun and by the end I was dripping with sweat. The choreography wasn't too complicated so that made me happy.

As it's weekend and we have no kids here this weekend I decided to do a double class. The second w/o I picked was Bun burners barre and ball. Not entirely what I was expecting, but very good. My legs were shaking like mad during the barre section.

So in total I worked out for approx 93 min and burnt 800 kcal. I managed to get to replacement batteries for my HR cheststrap for 99 cents so I am good for years to come. I can't believe I ordered the one for the watch online and paid so much more!

After just 2 w/o's on Cathe Live I can conclude it is more than worth the money. I am not sure I will want to do any dvds for a while now when there are so many online w/o's that look great, unless I can't find what I am looking for of course. I still want to lift heavy and at least also do pure strength w/o... And I am not sure if the live w/o's incl. those w/o's. I will have to check that Cathlete's excel sheet.

I am already excited about w/o tomorrow again. So many new w/o's. Fun, fun, fun!!!

Hi everybody.
Henriette, such good news about Cathe live. Actually I don't know if among those workouts there are any splitting weight work among body parts, which is the way I prefer to work my muscles instead of with total body workouts. Please do keep us posted as you try more and more workouts.
Yesterday was a forced rest day for me, too many things to do. Today I did Hiit 40/20, some work with light weights to reinforce my wrist and forearms as I have a nasty pain especially on my left wrist when doing certain exercises such as hip thrusts, push-ups or when I 'm lifting heavy. Then I did Abs circuit with the medicine ball. So I can call it a day. We have a big thunderstorm going on just now and tomorrow should be cold and rainy as well. So I will most likely stay in.

Excellent workouts on this Saturday girls! :)
Sandy, take care of that wrist.

I spent over two hours doing fascial massage & release on the floor with balls and a roller and in restorative yoga poses this morning to try & remedy the left sided pain I am experiencing. It felt bad but good. lol.
This afternoon, tried 'Death by Thrusters' a 35 min workout from RIPT90. DH took this one and MH60 out from the library. Nice, quickie workouts, but boring. I like MH60 better than RIPT90 so far.

Beautiful, very warm day here.

Hope your Mom's Brunch tomorrow is lovely, Ceci!!

Wow - long workouts for both you Elsie and Henriette! What is going on in Belgium? Iodine pills for the nation? Is this true? Good Golly.

On a light note - today I did Amy Dixon Breathless Body 2 The Edge. I fast forward through her explanations on all her workouts as she tends to be long-winded. That said, the 6 minute finisher is brutal! I've always enjoyed Amy Dixon. She was the only reasons why I subscribed to Fitness Glo for a while last year.

Raining here too.

Sandy - I get the same issue with my wrists when I do too many push-ups (which i love) and lift heavy.
Elsie - glad you got the dvds. I have many more I would like to shed and would love to send to you gals in europe - it's the cost of mailing stuff that' is the problem.

Enjoy the day. See you all tomorrow.

Hi there. We had a long grey and rainy Sunday today. It has stopped raining now, but unfortunately we have not been able to take the dogs out for a walk.
Today I did cardio super sets as I hadn't been doing it since long, I skipped the step section but did Lower Intensity Step from 4ds instead. Well, I have to say the step portions of 4Ds have a super fun factor, while the strength sections remind me of STS, although they are shorter of course. So this dvd is really worth every penny.
Stay strong!

Hi all!

Shiobhan - you most be feeling good if you felt up for doing Breathless 2. I have all 4 and am not even sure I have tried them all... I know I tried a few when i got them and they sure made me breathless at that point.

Today was a beautiful sunny but not really warm day here so I didn't want to spend it indoors. We biked to the beach, taking the long way there going through parks etc for 45min ride, had a few drinks down on the beachfront and then biked bake the normal way, which is about 30 min.

I then did some more Live w/o's. I started with Ready & Gloved a 50min boxing w/o. I went into it thinking it was a kickbox w/o and hoping it would go easy on the legs, but it turned out to have no kicks, so I guess that makes it a boxing w/o, even with some heavy bag tabata's. It did however include some cardio burts. It was fun, different and a good sweat but not RWH hard. I think the live are more doable and definitely more breaks. I also like the modern and upbeat music. I am not picky about music when I w/o, I just find it very motivating and I like that each Live is different.

Afterwards I moved on to Upper Body express which is just 40min training back, biceps, chest, triceps, shoulders and core. Having said that, I guess I could have simply said whole upper body. Most of the time it was 2 exercises for the muscle group done twice.

So another two good w/o's... And so many more to try!

I hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Sounds like you all are having busy workout days. :) How was your week of 4DS Sandy? Looks tough for sure. Another one I will work up to sometime!!
Henriette, glad that Cathe Live has been working for you! I am getting better recepetion now with fitnessGlo. although I am running out of videos to do. (when the Canadian $ does somewhat better, I am considering Cathe Live as well)
Yes, Ceci, Amy Dixon is great. I like how she focuses on functional strength. I also really enjoy Denise Klatte's stretch work and step programs. You are so kind to share your dvds!! I am happy. :)
Henriette, I have worked in sales myself & sounds like you were getting the sales pitch from the gym fellow. He is bad at it though. You don't crap all over what someone has been enjoying! lol. My bullsh^tter radar goes on when people tell me that what I have been doing for health is
"ALL Wrong".

Annette, hope your weekend has been nice as well. *waves*

This morning was more on the floor stretching, massage etc. Today I went to a yoga class. It was nice.
