Last evening: Step Blast and abs (tough to do with temps still around 90 at night and high humidity... I was drenched)
Tonight: on schedule is shoulder work and floor leg work.

Good Morning Fitness Friends!

Today I'm crunched for time in the morning due to a dentist appointment, so I will do Cardio & Weights.
Finally the heat and humidity has lifted here and it's going to be a lovely 75 degrees, so I will also get out and mow the yard. That takes right at an hour, and I push it so I count that as a workout. Also plan to wash my car and pull weeds......anything to be outside after 2 weeks in the a/c. YEAH!!

I plan on heading out for a 30 min run as soon as the boys leave for their exams, and then come home and add on some ab work and stretchmax#3.

Becky: I know what you mean about being stuck inside. It was so hot/humid here that I didn't want to be outside at all - yuck. Our weather is supposed to break later today too.

Cathy: Awesome workouts as always.

Yesterday was ME leg segment only, Boot Camp Cardio and Garden Max.

Today will be PP and SS upper body segments only and Core Max. I will also be mowing today, it will be another hot one.

Good Afternoon fit friends,

Nice w/o's people, hope everyone has such a good w/o.

Did a 7K run in perfect running weather and 40min yogazone w/o.

They're filming right at the corner of my street (about 10 paces away) All the big trucks are in front of my house. They had me move my car so they could park there. TV people.... think they're so important :D Haven't got a clue what it's for. I'm not into Dutch tv or anything. Though I used to work for the biggest Dutch tv production company (the one that invented a.o. Big Brother). And I used to run into the big Dutch TV stars all the time.

Well, gotta run, again :)

Good morning fitness buffs! Wow, I just love reading all the stories about fitness & the workouts you started back in the day. You all are truly an inspiration :)

Rest for me today. Major DOMS from yesterday's workout: PUB/PLB 3/4 of each, IM3 blasts, LM on FitTV & CM2.

Last evening- PLB with abs and stretch off of TimeSaver #5

Today, some upper body work. I just received the Boot Camp/ME DVD, so I am going to see what is on ME for upper body. Plan on a Core Max, probably session #2, and if time, a StretchMax.
 
Good Morning, Ladies!
Well, I am doing something different this month. I started with a trainer, and I am not allowed to do any cardio for 4 weeks!:eek: This month I am only allowed to do lifting. I have a rotation put together where I work a body part to absolute failure. Of course today was legs!! When I was doing deadlifts on the step my legs were shaking so bad I thought I was going to fall off!

Sounds like some great w/o's as usual!

Can't work out this morning...have a doc appointment-I should get OFFICIAL clearance to exercise again. YIPPEE! When I get home though (if Joey cooperates. lol), or after dinner when DH is around to watch Joey, I want to do the ankle weight work from L&G and the first upper body part on UBS and hopefully some cardio too...we'll see how I feel.

It seems like everyone is feeling very aggressive today! Maybe it is the lower heat for some of us? Anyways, I did Seasun's RSS, a nice change of pace today.

Why are you not allowed to do cardio? What is the goal there??
I don't need to lose weight but would love to build muscle and tone up triceps & a little around the middle. Maybe that's what I need to do also....? but I am an admitted cardio junkie and even on the toughest weight days, feel like I have cheated if I skip cardio!
I'd love to hear how it's going for you and how you like the current rotation....if you don't mind sharing it. Thanks!!
 
Logos....I'm not quite wonder woman...:)...it takes me a couple of hours to workout usually, but yesterday I did run out
of time (Which happens) and I'll have to do my triceps today!!

Carla...that is cool you are working with a trainer. It'll be fun seeing what you will be doing now!

Wendy...hope the Doc gives you a big YES!!!

Becky...I am also a cardio junkie (must be why I run so much) but, there has been talk for a few years about cutting down on cardio and adding more weights for better results. I can get results either way but for some cutting back the cardio has really helped.

Jane...tha core only premix on the Bootcamp/ME DVD is a fun one...great DVD...

I am doing my Freestyle Leg workout, abs, Shoulders, Bi's, Tri's and a 5 mile run.

Our weather will change a bit too. They are calling for rain tomorrow!!!....:)...Carole

Today will be PUB and a run. Also have the softball game on tap for tonight. Of course we have rain in the forecast again. Must be a Wednesday thing. :)

I am a cardio junkie also. I did 1-1&1/2hrs in the morning and ran 3x's a week in the evening. I was having trouble losing that fat around my middle, so I wanted to get some help. I was told I wasn't getting near enough calories. So my body was feeling starved. Right now I am focusing on adding as much muscle as I can to my body, and I am increasing my calories. SLOWLY! I am conditioning my metabolism to work properly again. So when I get to fat burning phase I will increase my cardio. I will also zig zag my calories. Example on higher days I would do more cardio. I was eating between 1000-1300 calories, but I am supposed to be eating about 2600. I have seen others success, so I want to try because I have tried everything. So we shall see. I am only in my first week in conditioning. Yes, I do feel bulky, but they say that is normal.
 
Good Morning Ladies,

It seems that everyone is getting a great workout today!

I felt some muscle soreness last night from Imax and PLB on the same day, but it is not as bad as I expected. This morning I did P90X back and biceps, I am doing the back exercises on my cross bow with 120 pounds, and biceps with 20's and later 15th. I am going to have a nice breakfast with a lot of protein and go to work.

Thanks Carole... I will try that premix. I am still learning about using different workouts together off the DVD's. I get a lot of great ideas from what is posted here on the daily check-in.

I doubt my problem is not enough calories, as I try to eat smart but do have a large appetite, so I eat alot!
I'm sure part of the problem around my middle is age.....I'll be 42 next month and have 3 kids. Also the triceps seem to be heredity , as my mom quit wearing anything sleeveless at age 30 because her arms had that "jiggle" whenever she waved them around.
I do see an improvement in my arms since I've been more seriously working with weights. Have done cardio for years & years, but regularly working with weights is just in the past 6 months.
My weight is okay..... I'm 5'5" and 118 pounds.
Good luck to you and reaching your goals, and keep us all posted on your work with your trainer. I'm really interested in how you are doing it. I have never counted calories and wonder how time consuming that is...... ?

Wow, y'all are doing some pretty challenging workouts today! Way to go! :)

I did PUB and PLB this morning - the Pyramid Up premixes of both. I REALLY need a barbell for PLB - it is not very comfortable resting heaving dumbbells on one's shoulders. At least not for me. *whips out debit card* Okay, shopping time! :D

I'm with you on that Emily.... I had a time last evening with 15# and 5# dumbbells, holding a set of those in both hands. I just about dropped them when I was taking them off my shoulders. A barbell set would be a lot less expensive than an ER visit and a fractured foot!!!
 
Morning everyone - been a while since I have checked in - once again the boss monitors where we go on websites, but he is gone right now :) I am following the August 2004 Fat loss and Legs and Glutes rotation. I am one day behind - so today is Imax!!

Last night was Legs and glutes and 20 min jog - wow - jogging after working the legs is really really challenging!!!

Great workouts ladies! I really want to get the SB and SJP!:9 :9
