Good Morning Everyone,

I am back from my trip down east. Dropped off my eldest DD at a french program where she will be for 5 weeks! She is slowly starting to have fun but hates the food. She needs this trip to toughen up a bit.

I have not worked out since Friday. Today I did a TT workout + two tabatas + my own deadlift sequence.

I have the day off - yeah.

Sandy - I am sorry you are still having issues. I hope things sort themselves out soon

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Ceci,

Glad you had a safe trip to drop off your DD.

Today I did the Taebo Get Amped workout holding 3 pound dumbbells instead of the bar they use (or nothing), over 80 degrees in the house so I was sweating buckets. After that I went to the gym for 40 min. of weightwork, including legs and abs.

It is a hot one today, so stay cool if you can.

Hey.

Ceci, your daughters are so lucky to have you as a doting Mom! :) Whereabouts in NS is the program, if you don't mind my nosiness?

Excellent workouts these past few days again Annette. Way to rock it! Do you find that with the kickboxing, you do not have to do isolated oblique work? How have your senior's aerobics been coming along? Hope you have a good time at the postponed fireworks! ;)

Enjoying riding the trails with your new bike Henriette?!

Sandy, best wishes for your healing body. Chronic pain is just a bish! How did you find ICE Upper Body with the shoulder & wrist issues? I am a lover of ICE, although the Upper Body and most of the Abs didn't agree with me at all. In fact, the floor Upper Body section gave me neck issues. So, I don't really do that one any longer.

Last night, I got in an Essentrics (pvr'ing from PBS) & added my own stability ball lower back. My shoulders respond so well to Essentrics and I do not have the stamina for a lot of other stuff right now. Tonight I am hoping to get to another low impact BoxerFit class.
After my medical appt this week, my physician is referring me to an endocrinologist. Turns out that my hormones are all out of whack & she would like to figure out why. She says it might be prolonged sleep issues, but also likely to be something different. Testosterone is normal, and that is often the one that shows when the body has been distressed. I also have severe iron and riboflavin deficiency which I am sure has probably made my malaise worst. This is the first time I have had an iron deficiency since university.
We looked at a place/rental in a much quieter area yesterday. Hope they pick us!!
I hope you girls don't mind my sharing.

Share away Elsie.

I don't start teaching the senior aerobics class till next week when I am filling in for the regular teacher.

As for oblique work I still do ab exercises for all of the ab muscles.

Hope the 2nd doctor can pinpoint what is going on with you.

Hope you get the quieter place.

Hi ladies,
I have been MIA for a few days now. I have been working out and have caught up on all your posts, just with all the changes with Summer I hadn't gotten around to posting. Sorry, once school starts again I will do better.

Sunday - a 45min dance w/o. Pure fun. Followed by BodyCombat which I love.

Monday - 7min Autumn Calabrese ballet w/o. The first time I did it a while ago I really enjoyed it, now that I have tried other barre stuff I was not as impressed with it. I then did a 10min PopSugar barre w/o with Tracey Mallett. That one I sure felt! Later I did KCM TrimDown combining w/o 1 and 2 for an hour w/o. Boxing for 1 min cardio followed by compound weight lifting that is done fast! Means you can't go too heavy. Good total body w/o but nothing gets hit too hard... Do DOMS.

Tuesday - started a 45min dance w/o but stopped after about 20. It was too complicated for me. I am not a dancer so I need simple steps repeated many times and just fun music. The music was fun, but it was not fun being lost so often. I then did Michelle Dozois BodyFit 360 Athletic Conditioning. Hadn't tried that one yet. I had hoped to love it... Only uses a towel and moves to the music, but it was just plain hard work, not fun and I felt like MD was screaming the whole timw, maybe no mike. Nevertheless, it was a good w/o, I just didn't love it.

Wednesday - another 45min dance w/o which just flew by. So much fun. I then tried another new to me dvd. Jillian Michaels Killer Body Upper Body. Just over 30min circuit training... I think 4 moves followed by a cardio peak. I was huffing and puffing away and sweating loads. JM works you real hard, esp if you use proper weights... Not the light ones they sometimes use. By the end I told my son she isn't giving me a killer body, she's just trying to kill me. So next time I am in the mood for short, but tough I will try one of her others on that dvd.

So no... No biking yet and once I bike I am not sure how many trails I will do. May just stick to what I know... Bike paths and roads, but you never know.

Thanks kindly Annette.
As for oblique work I still do ab exercises for all of the ab muscles.
You always impress me. I am lazy & try to get away with doing ab workouts for shorter amounts of time! lol.

Henriette, great job on your consistent workouts all week! I find Michelle Dozois w-o's are killer for me!
I think all of us have been checking in less often during summertime.
