Today was KCM Meltdown WO2 (Air Jump Rope in place of Bobs) - 28m + Cathe Stretch Max #2 Stability Ball 20m

Linda, your jump rope add-ons inspired me to swap the Bob & weaves Kelly puts between drills for jump rope. It was perfect for holding my HR. Thanks for the inspiration!


Annette, saw the video you posted yesterday. I’m equal parts amazed and awed. Not sure I could push an empty sled.

Nora and really everyone, great workouts. It’s always inspiring to read about your accomplishments.
 
Great workout Lannette…..yep, that’s what I do, if I am doing a workout with hiit cardio
that I am not wanting to do, I pull out my ropeless rope and substitute that And still keep
it low impact. I really want CrossRope’s new Ropeless set, but geez, it’s like $100.
even with the 20% off….the ropeless ones I have are perfect, but of course there’s
always something better :)

I had to look that up. This is a fitness area where my knowledge is lacking. They sure do make it confusing, probably so you’ll buy the biggest package.
 
Hi ladies,

Empty sled is only 103 pounds not hard to push. Just remember that I am now pushing almost 100 pounds more than in that video.

Today I did a 55 minute elliptical workout because I have a doctor's appointment at 1, I will do floorwork after my appointment.

Raining, gotta change and run out again.

1st thing out of the doctor's mouth was 'your weight is up' , well let's see I am fully dressed (minus shoes), I just came from the gym and I was _______ weight this morning.

Anyway, more bloodwork done. Came home and did 13 minutes of floorwork for abs, legs and glutes.

Finally got in to see a specialist about my janky hip (that has been bothering me for three years).

I’ve been to PT once already — that Dr said it was “weak abs, hip bursitis, and lower back issues”. He was wrong and PT didn’t help.

I’ve been doing dead lifts (I max out at about 70lbs for three sets of 8-10), dead rows (similar weight and reps), scapular retractions, abs (which could always be better, but I’m not terrible), bent over rows, back flyes (with 10-12lbs per set), all kinds of sit ups and crunches and super mans and extended cobra poses plus every bendable pigeon pose variation you can think of. I’m not weak and I’m not inflexible.

This doc’s diagnosis? “It’s your lower back, not your hips”. He gave me a worksheet of stretches to do and sent me home. And I mean stretches like “knee into chest”, “bird dogs”, “L-stretches” (we do those almost every stretch with Cathe), and “cat cow”. Are you kidding me? So frustrated.

I will do them like a good little Girl Scout. But I seriously doubt they will do anything. There is something wrong with my hip and/or my tailbone. Period. I totally reserve the right to be mistaken — I do! But if things have not improved in 6 weeks, that Dr is getting an irritated phone call and I’m getting an MRI.

Getting a late start on my workout. It’s Low Impact Circuit, Total Body Sculpt (which includes abs). I’ll tack on the stretches I was prescribed and see if things improve. That should be about 60 mins in the books for today.
 
Keep praying, my creatinine level is down to 1.78 and my GFR is 33 which puts me back in Stage 3b kidney disease!!! Yay!!!

Sorry Anita about your hip pain. Could yours be nerve pain?? When I had nerve damage PT did nothing. If I tense my one hip I have radiating pain down the muscle into my leg. Rolling over in the bed hurts, walking up stairs hurt , and some general moves hurt. Hoping it works itself out, it has been a week and a half.

Today I did a mix of 2.0 biceps for 30 minutes (I didn't do the cool down or the reversed wrist somethings) and 20 minutes of BJ Gaddour bodyweight workout.

Annette - you have good news! yeah
Anita - I have lower back problems too and the ONLY thing that works for me beautifully is doing reversed cobra (hips and upper thighs off the floor, holding for three seconds at a time) 10 minutes a day minimum - two sets of 10 minute segments is even better. This move has cleared up spasms in my legs and feet, restless legs at night, soreness and stiffness in my lower back and mid back. How can one exercise be so effective?

Boy is it ever windy here today. Power outages in stores and lots of traffic lights out. I hope I make it to my play tonight. With traffic lights out I am not sure as it's not close.

Mine is lower back/hip/tailbone/left lat/oblique pain. Really hard to describe. But it’s tense and tight 24/7/365. If I sit too long, it hurts. If I stand too long, it hurts. If I walk uphill, it hurts. If I do split squats, it hurts. If I don’t lie down correctly, it hurts. If I drive for more than about two hours, it hurts. If I have a long session of step aerobics, it hurts. It’s annoying.
 
Annette, wonderful news! I know you are so relieved!

Anita, sorry about your back/hip pain. Have you ever gone to a chiropractor? I, too,
have back/hip problems and when it gets too bad, I visit my chiropractor…as a rule, after
a day or two, things start to feel better. I hope it feels better soon!

Just finished! Low Impact Circuit — Total Body Sculpt Premix about 65 minutes with all the interruptions. Done and dusted.
