Daily Check-In Tuesday, November 13th

Good morning Tammy and all that follow!

Have fun with BC... you are doing the original BC right? I love that workout too. I haven't done 4DS BC yet, but have watched it. It looks scary!

HIS/back/chest was fun last night. If I'm not mistaken, I may have posted LIS on my post last night after I finished it but it was HIS. Combo 3 still has me stumped. The wt. work was awesome though. I need some 25 and 30# DBs!!

Today is KB/legs/core. Really looking forward to this one! Love the cardio and KB and the wt work will be the first time for me on this one. I'm going to have fun doing all the wt work this week as I haven't done any of the wt work on the new ones.

Wendy - you asked about my vacation and where I went. We went to Oklahoma City for the AQHA World Show. Very strange weather out there. Except for one day (Tues or Wed?), the temps were in the high 70's/low 80's. All the other times we've been out there, it has been COLD and windy!

My contractor is coming back today to start putting together my master bath. I hope it doesn't drive me too crazy since I'm working.

Jane, I don't have that combo down yet either ! But we'll get it and then it looks like a whole lot of fun.:D

Today is KB/legs & core for me too. Looking forward to it.

I don't have 25 and 30 pound weights either but for now, 20's are JUST FINE!!!:p :eek:

I slept good too Phyllis! And I never answered your question about AIM. I don't have it right now but I will put it on and then, YES, I'd love to chat when we are having our insomniac nights!!

Today was Amy's Slo Mo Challenge, the bis/tris/chest split, and then I did the Dome workout. WOW!!! Great stuff, my arms can barely type!

Last night I made it through 4ds biceps, triceps, and legs. I also did MM abs. Feeling nice and sore, I will do Low Max 30 minute premix with shoulders from 4ds. I miss bootcamp, HSTA and all those but alas, I'm working on heavy now....and so dang hungry every five minutes!
 
Hi gals,

I did select exercises (most of the shoulders since that was my focus) off of Slow and Heavy Shoulders, chest and back today for my workout. I held my loss through the weekend but was us this morning so I am glad I got my workout in today.

Dh took the boys hunting so I only have one kid at home and yesterday my dh shot his first pheasant so he is a happy camper.

I did Kickbox/legs/core from 4-DS this morning.

Jane, I'm really anxious to hear what you think of the weight work on this one . I really like it and you KNOW legs are my least fav. body part to work.
The KB , I do enjoy. It's just the right length of time for me. And it's one of the best warm ups Cathe does IMO.

Anywho....can't wait to hear your opinion of this one....;-)

Hey Becky.... I loved the wt work on this one. I really felt it. I was sweating up a storm and you'd think I was doing interval work, my heart rate was that high! I went as heavy as I could. I opted for 15# on the leg presses this time and may bump it up to 17.5# next time. By the end of that workout, I was shaking. My hands were literally shaking! I read what Patty posted, about being hungry. Heavy weights or heavy on the cardio will do that me and I'm not looking forward to it!

My arms chest, arms, and back were so sore from chest and back yesterday, it wasn't very pleasant punching today.

I think these workouts are awesome. Just the right amount of cardio before plunging into the heavy wt work, love it!
 
Daily Check-in

Blessing my body with an earlier bedtime last night was a good decision. I had a little more energy today. Starting this day with Kickbox helped too! There is nothing like a burst of Cathe sunshine in the morning to add a big splash of joy to the whole day. The cardio kickboxing is fun, fun, fun. I am never ready for it to end, but it is just right for the lower body work that follows. The heavy leg presses are getting easier for me. I modified and started the low-plane lunges from the top of the movement and still felt them. Mercy! Yes, I definitely felt them! I am amazed that Cathe and her girls can start on the floor with heavy weights in both hands. The final round is still my favorite. I have fun playing with the band! I am loving the core work in this one more and more every week. Did I mention that I love, love, love this workout? I was tempted to repeat the cardio tonight, but I am determined to stick with Cathe’s rotation. I am planning to enjoy the cardio premix Friday morning for my optional cardio workout, so I will enjoy it again this week. Yippee!

My cycle started today too. That explains my craving for sweets yesterday afternoon and the blues I was battling last night.

Stretch Max is in my DVD player for tomorrow morning, which is another personal favorite. I am looking forward to recharging tomorrow so I can have fun with Lower Intensity Step Thursday morning.

My boss was out of town today, and I enjoyed a peaceful and quiet day at work. My meals and snacks are packed for tomorrow. It is time to enjoy a warm bubble bath and call it a day.

I just ordered my 2008 Cathe calendar! It will be fun to see pictures of Cathe’s first bodybuilding contest and beauty pageant!

Jane, heavy weight training makes me tired and hungry. Intense cardio energizes me and suppresses my appetite. I increased my protein a little this month (by adding a few ounces of organic air-chilled chicken on 4-Day Split days). That seems to be taming my appetite. I am loving Cathe’s November rotation, but there is not a lot of cardio for damage control. I am moderating my treats. By the way, I was sweating up a storm this morning during the leg work too.
