Good morning!

Beavs! Welcome back! I hope things are starting to improve for you.

Today is an HIIT workout. I think it's 30/30 so here I go! If I have the energy,I'll add some ab work on to it. :)

Phyllis, I haven't even previewed 30/30 yet . I hope it's easier (and should be !!) then 40/20 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think abs are on the rotation too. If not, I'm adding them too !

30/30 HiiT and Ab Circuit Pilates based abs for me this morning.

Good morning ladies - I have 4DS Bootcamp in its entirety scheduled for today. I'm glad I need something to counteract all that chocolate.

I will be ordering the Jillian DVD trio and scheduling the 30 slim down for February rotation.

30/30 is MUCH easier! The only thing I didn't do were the squat thrust jumps. I don't like changing my height like that. I added on CM 2, the one with the SB. The rotation calls for STS abs - the pilates based ones - but I lent my DVD to someone.

Any warm weather to be found?
 
Phyllis- thanks for that ! I'm on my way to workout now, so it helps to hear you think it's easier !!!
We are going to finally reach FREEZING tomorrow ......for the first time since Jan 1. So , I usually don't think of 32 degrees as "warmer weather" but now it IS !!!!
Will report after workout.......
 
I can't wait to get my mitts on Shock cardio but in the meantime I'll have to live vicariously through y'all. I'm still recovering from my cold but everyday gets better and better. I am planning to do some yoga this evening although I may work up the energy to do one of my faves.....4DS KB.

Carmen--I love 4DS, especially bootcamp! Could you tell me more about the Jillian Michael's rotation. I keep hearing about but I am not really familiar with her (other than to hear she has some tv show---about the only "prime time" tv I watch is L&O). I assume she is more advanced than most of the DVDs floating out there.

Phyllis--Do you find that just getting right down to business, but for only 30 minutes, is a little easier than going the full hour? I am a fan of shorter workouts.

Becky--I recommend a Hawaiian shirt and a margarita before the freeze is back!

Tammy--what time do you do your workouts?
 
omg ! NOT to scare you off Beavs.......but I did not get through 30/30 !!!!!!

I feel like I just had a VERYYYYYYYY off day and I don't know why. Yesterday's workout ROCKED !
But I got through maybe half (and yes, it's very short) and just checked out.
I was gasping, sweating and felt like I was going to be sick.
I went through the motions of a few of the remaining exercises, but mostly just gave up at that point.
NO WAY was I going to be able to do tuck jumps and air jacks at that point !!!!!!!

Anyone have a day like this ?? I don't feel like I'm coming down with anything, and I slept good last night . I can't figure out why I just didn't have it today AT ALL !

:(Any suggestions on what I do at this point ? Think I should jump on the bike later, or walk on the TM to get my cardio in ?? Or call it a rest day ?

Hi everyone,

Glad to see you Beavs - Jillian is more advanced than alot of instructors, and her dvds are really a great bang for the buck. I love adding her to my rotations at least twice a month.

Becky - Call it a day, girlfriend, your body is trying to tell you something!
Break out the summer clothes for the big thaw, lol!

Today was 4DS LIS. This split series is kind of boring to me, maybe I am just not into it.. I may change up tomorrow...

You can see a video clip of each DVD and download the plan to follow. If you have demand TV you can see the workouts for free. I bought the Trio because I thought she'd be a good change up from Cathe. I love my Cathe though. Currently I'm following Cathe's Jan 09 rotation. I hope to do this one in Feb. Should be a good mix up for me.

Becky--Sometime you just have an off day. Don't worry about because there will be another day when you will nail it. I also do believe that winter sucks the life out of people. Margaritas can help. I know this to be true!

ETA: I found all three of the JM workouts on Deep Discount so I bought them. Buying new videos will often spur me into action.

Welcome Beavs.

I took a rest day yesterday it was just too hectic to get a workout in.

I, however, did cardio and weights today to make up for it. I did a premix off of Amy Bento's Kickbox Surge then did the warm up, (no push ups) the rest of the chest work, and shoulders work off of PSCS&T. I will do triceps, back and biceps on Thursday.

So I am happy with that workout especially since for the life of me Amy's workouts seem backwards to me. When she goes left I want to go right and vice versa and she starts opposite of what I think we should start with, am I alone or do others find her workouts like this?!?

Had a good workout this morning, but ran out of time again and only managed about 15 minutes of the pilates abs.

Annette ~ Good workout. I don't do any Amy workouts. I tried one of the advanced step dvds and I couldn't get even figure out the warmup, so I gave up on her.

Beavs ~ I work out approximately 6:30 - 7:30am. I received the Jillian's a few days ago as I wanted to do the rotation posted on exercise tv, but I started Cathe's January rotation. I'll save the Jillian rotation for another month...maybe it would make a good summer rotation.

Conni ~ Change it up! You are after all our queen of substitutions ;)

Becky ~ Some days it just isn't there...take a rest!

Carmen ~ Can't wait to hear how you like the Jillian workouts.

Becky, I agree with Carmen. Call it a day!

Beavs, it really depends on my mood for the workout style. Today I did like the shorter workout even though it was intense, but sometimes I like the steady state longer workouts.
