I can finally say it: I've been there and done that..... yes ladies, I've done it, I ran a sub 30min 5K, and not just by a few seconds!

I ran on the TM with a 1% incline. I started at 9.5K/h for about 5 minutes. Then I decided to increase speed with every song. So I upped to 10K/h, then 10.5K/h. I was doing so great, I changed my mind and kept running at 10.5K/h. Just for 1000 meters. Well, I was going strong, so I can do another 1000 meters at this speed. I ran 3K in 18:02, oh my I was doing really well. And still going strong I stuck with the 10.5K/h. It's not even 6 minutes. I can do this for 6 minutes. Then I realised I only had a 1000 meters left to go. I can do this, I'm the best, right? 500 meters left, I can go faster can't I? 11.0K/h and still going strong. I watched the seconds go by, it only takes 32 seconds to run a 100 meters at this speed. I suddenly realised I was going to run a sub 30min 5K. YES, finished at 28:50! Last week it was 30:02min. :+

It must be the spinning that's helping with the running. I don't have any other explanation why I'm doing so well this month.

Anyways, I added MM-Legs and before my run I already done GS Ba/Bi premix.

As I came into work I told everyone I ran a PR. I'm the champ, at least today I am! I was so hyper when I came into work, even more then usual, that one of my colleagues said "I'm getting tired just listening to you".

Everyone have a great w/o and a most wonderful Tuesday.

Morning Dutchie and all who follows:)

Dutchie - WHOOT WHOOT!!! That's fantastic. Congrats! Don't you just love that endorphin rush?;)

Last night was GS Chest and Tris for me. Talk about BURN.:p

Tonight is cardio and core. Not sure what cardio. I think I'll do that mish-mosh of KM warm up and blast, SJP hi/lo and SB Blast Challenge, plus SJP abs.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today I'm going to do CircuitMax.

Duthcie: CONGRATULATIONS! That is SO awesome! YA-HOO!

Shelley: I hope you have a fantastic day today.

Hello to all that follow...have a great day!

Morning ladies! Today was SB followed by intervals 6-10 of IMAX 2 and then C&W abs and stretch. It's TTOM and I feel gross. My energy was really difficult to find this morning. I made the mistake of getting on the scale this morning and it says I'm up 2 pounds! Is that normal for TTOM? I know it's just water weight, but it's depressing none the less.:-(

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Happy Birthday Shelley! Have a wonderful day.

Congratulations Dutchie! Enjoy your high today. :)

Hi Tammy, enjoy Circuit Max.

Hello all who follow!

Today is Body Max.

Have a great day everyone,
Pamela

Good Morning Fit Friends!

Way to go Dutchie!!!

Katie, YES, weight gain during TTOM is normal and can vary from month to month. Sometimes I can barely snap my jeans!! ;( Hope you are feeling better soon!

This morning was a 45 minute interval ride on my stationary bike, and I'm still going to do stretching with Michele Lemay, taped off FitTv. I'm enjoying an easier day after doing The Viper yesterday!
}(

Good luck with BodyMax Pamela, that's always a tough one for me!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!!:D

Daily Check-in

Mercy! Oh my stars! That is all I can say right now. I just did High Step Training for the first time. I did the cardio premix once before and knew that I would be in for a challenge this morning after previewing the rest of it. This workout as a whole is a butt kicker! It is a good thing Cathe is so encouraging in this one. As far as I am concerned, High Step Training is way harder than Boot Camp. I definitely followed Cedie’s modifications for some of the upper body work. And all those leg presses! Oh my! I thought Muscle Endurance was tough. Can I have some chocolate now?!

Dutchie, you have inspired me this morning!

Shelley, I pray that you have a blessed birthday!

Tammy, I love Circuit Max. I hope you have fun with it this morning.

Katie, it is not unusual for me to gain 4-7 pounds before my cycle starts! Step away from the scale. It is not your friend this time of month.

Pamela, I do not have Body Max but am anxiously awaiting Body Max 2. I hope you have a great workout!

Becky, enjoy your lighter workout day.

Blessings to all who follow. Enjoy your workouts today! Now, where is that chocolate?

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hi everyone!

Please don't talk about TTOM. I am PMSing so badly right now I could chew on a tree! Does everything I see have to go into my mouth????
AAGGHHH!

Anyways, today was PUB. I keep telling myself I am going to do the ball work BEFORE I do the weights, but I never do, and my poor arms are dying by that time!
Lowered my weights and still felt toasty, so I am keeping up with that game plan also.

Have a good day!

RE: Daily Check-in

Hey girls!

Today will be SS Tone It Up and some cardio at the gym. I was supposed to take a 9:15am spin class today but my little guy was having a bad night. We were up TOO late to make the spin class in one piece...maybe tomorrow!:)

Dutchie: You are AWESOME!:+

Shelley: I just finished a go-round w/the GS series...you don't have tell me about the burn...I remember it well! LOL I had DOMS most of the week!}(

Tammy: Have fun w/circuitmax!:)

Katie: DO NOT take what the scale says during TTOM to heart!!! Like the other poster said...stay away from any kind of measuring device during this time...PLEASE!!!!;)

Pamela: WHOA! Body Max...better you than me, girl! :p

Becky: You deserve an easier work out! Good for you!

Conni: Glad to hear that the lighter weights felt good!:) How are you using SS in your rotations? I'm curious because I have a hard time integrating them w/Cathe. I am looking for some ideas. Thanks!

Heather: Good job on HSTA! Feels good to complete a tough work out, ey? I have HS Challenge...haven't done it yet though cause I'm chicken! LOL :p

RE: Daily Check-in

Mornin' gals -

I hope everyone has a great day... good workouts are going on! Today is a full-body weight day plus abs for me. I'm just going to plug some music in and go.

RE: Daily Check-in

Good morning ladies...

Way to go Dutchie!!!! http://bestsmileys.com/excited/3.gif[/img] A PR is one of the best feelings!!

Shelley...GS chest is a burner...aren't there like 500 push ups????

Tammy..have fun with Circuitmax

Katie...you never weigh during TTOM! The scale always lies then...:)

Bodymax is a long one Pamela, but I do like the upper body section ALOT!

Becky...sounds like you did a good workout, especially after the Viper!

Conni...its those pikes on the ball that seem way hard after all that upper body lifting! You did great!

Heather....I think chocolate would be a great reward after HSTA!!

Sorry about your little one Wendy. I bet you will still get in a good workout...:)

Shannon...enjoy your full body weight workout...

I'll be doing S&H legs and a 5 mile run

Have a great day...:)

RE: Daily Check-in

Thanks ladies! I feel so much better now. I usually don't weight around TTOM, but for some stupid reason just jumped right on this morning. UGH! Plus, I feel more bloated than normal this month. It needs to be next week REALLY fast!;(

Katie

RE: Daily Check-in

Morning Ladies o)

This morning, I did Legs & Glutes. Tonight, hm…………For some strange reason, I feel like doing a cardio w/o. I'm thinking bout doing Imax (1-5) MIS UB Chest, Triceps & ABs.

I don’t NO I’m still tripping. I shall see how I'm feeling by the time I get home tonight.

I wonder why I can not use my smilies, what's up with that........

Teddygirl~

Hi everyone,

This morning I did StepMax. That's a great workout for the choreographically challenged.

Dutchie - Congratulations on the fast run!!

Shelley - how's your hip? I'm giving you a "hip hip" horray for your b-day!

Tammy - CM! Fun! Are you going to do the monkey sounds? ;-)

Katie - tough workout!! Good job on doing it on a day that you're feeling gross. Of course it's water weight! :)

Pamela - I'm not surprised you had a hard time with SW yesterday. The last week of the Nov rotation really burnt me out. I needed the rest. BM is really gruelling. Good luck!

Becky - An easier after the Viper is always necessary. Tough workout! Good work!

Conni - I've always wondered what possessed Cathe to put those planks and pikes in at the end of the workout! IMO, if you can do all those planks and pikes, then you're not lifting heavy enough during the weights.

Heather - yup! You deserve chocolate! I really enjoy HSTA. Those hover squats really burn out the quads, don't they? Fun workout!

Wendy - I hope Joey isn't getting sick or anything. Is he teething?

Shannon - enjoy!

Carole - Have a good workout!

Teddygirl - here's a few smilies for you :) :) :) :) Use them at your discretion :)

Sandra

Hi everyone, Vilma here - new to this thread but not to Cathe :)

I'm just getting back to working out consistantly and this thread was mentioned in my post earlier today.

Just trying to find my way around the forums since it's been about a year that I've not posted. Believe me I was an active participant around here once upon a time ago.

For work outs I'm easing my way back using Low Impact Step premixes; I can not wait until I can go back to my all time favorite Imax2.

For now this DVD is working for me. I can't believe how out of shape I've allowed myself to get; thank goodness that I can still fit into my jeans though but my toneness is all gone :(

My goal for myself is not to lose weight but to tone up & gain back my endurance and strength.

I'm a married sahm to 3 kiddos ... two teenagers and one hugg bugg of a little girl aged 7 yrs.

Coming back to the forums here seem so alien to me now but I hope to get over that :)

Welcome ShyWolf, glad to have you aboard!!

I did Billy's Cardio Bootcamp today and because this has sooo much tricep work (that I am normally sore after anyway) I did not do any extra tricep work with it. I was wearing my weighted gloves and ankle weights.

Have a great day!!:7

Hey there.

I'm back from the gym...I did a 30 minute "random" program run/walk on the treadmill and then a 20 minute "interval" program on the eliptical. Nice work out and burned 557 cals! WOO! }(

Welcome Back ShyWolf !!!

I'm with you on the Imax2. I LOVE that one ! But I don't attempt it on days that I'm feeling sluggish , haven't slept well or dont have a lot of energy. It requires a LOT of you!;-) Don't worry.... You'll be back to doing it in no time.

I too am a sahm to 3 kids. Two are already grown and out of the house, my youngest daughter is 14.:)

It's nice to meet you. :D See you here tomorrow.

Hello everybody!! I was on here briefly this morning to wish Shelley a happy birthday and then by the time I got my coffee and came back, my internet was down. When I placed the service call, they said it would be tomorrow before it was fixed which is not a good thing since I work using the internet (I'm off today but have to go back to work tomorrow).... anyway... they fix it just about 10 minutes ago. YAY!!!

I did the Viper today and I love that workout, love it! Of course, I was soooo tired when I got off work yesterday and after working the weekend, I had one of my "eat the kitchen" moments.... I vaguely remember lots of PB&J sandwiches and Shrimp and Orzo... more than one serving, we won't discuss how many!! Needless to say my muscles had glycogen to burn and then some, so no problems with The Viper today... going to do abs and a stretch.

Good to be back in business, I hate being cut off from the internet world!!!

Great to see you here Vilma...:)...this is a fun check-in. Good idea easing back into it with Low Impact Step premixes. I bet in time you'll be able to do Imax2...

Annette...good workout with Billy using hand and ankle wights!!!..:)

I was dead after my run this morning....so hoping to eat some good food and do S&H legs this afternoon...
