Hi Ladies,
Good workouts!
Elsie - I agree.... vertical loading looks really good. Perhaps it is soon time to do Cathe Live again, but I may just have to wait until I can do more cardio as many of the Live are combinations.
I am a little late with the check in for Thursday, but I did w/o. Wohoo!
I biked back and forth to my physio aptmt, 2.5km each way. Going there was no biggy, but biking home after dry needling was painful! It's tricky to bike if you only want to put weight on one leg. Yesterday my right calve was the tightest, it had been massaged a couple of times but the dry needling was only done to the left one last week, so this time my right leg got the dry needling in 3 places. Ouch! I managed not to scream, but I did grunt quite a bit. Not sure if the pain was less than last week or if I was just more prepared for it. I discussed with the physio what kind of exercise would be okay to do... like whether I could ride my bike in the evening and he agreed we could put it to the test.
So in the evening I rode my bike to the parent teacher meeting, so 9km each way. Biking felt a lot better than driving. I had done the same trip to the school in the afternoon by car and that was super painful. Every time I moved my foot on the pedal (gas or break) the cramp got worse. Biking in the evening ended up soothing the cramping feeling.
Later in the evening I did 2 EDT sessions, one for shoulders and one for bi's & tri's. The bi's and tri's one is the one I have done the most often now, and I can see I am beating my PR, so that's good, but after the way I hit my legs last monday with Split Squats (I still feel my quads!) I am more cautious with going up in weight too soon. Don't need my arms being sore for 4 days!
Now it's time to work and finish the afternoon with a basketball training, so I hope the cramp in my right calve disappears before then. Last week the cramp in the leg that had been needled was practically gone by morning. No such luck this time though.
Have a good Friday.
