Hi girls!
This summer, since we got back from Spain it has been 14-18 degrees celcius. Now this week it was suddenly above 30 degrees. Summers can be warm in the Netherlands, but there is no guarantee and if it is warm it never lasts more than a few days. So the only places with AC are gyms, offices, shops and cars. Just about no one has AC at home for those couple of days each year and sport complexes used for bball etc also don't have AC.
Yesterday the women's 2nd team were training at the same time as my son's training and as they were short on players I decided to train with them. Boy was it hot?! I tried training a few years ago, but suffered from too many shin splints meaning I was limited the rest of the week in my w/o selection. I now told the coach, I cannot commit to anything and do not wish to pay for membership, but I wouldn't mind occassionally joining the training as it helps as a youth trainer to also still work a bit on my own game. She seemed ok with that.
It's such a different w/o... Doesn't feel like a w/o as such, just fun and sweating big time. Plus I can push myself sprinting, which I obviously don't do when working out at home.
