Happy First Day of March everyone! Back to work for me today but I have only today and tomorrow and then I'm off for the weekend.

Hang in there Annette, we all have off times, believe me, I've been there. Usually in life, all things run in cycles... you are due for an upswing:)

I saw the March rotation. I'm undecided about it but it does look interesting for a "recovery" month, and I may qualify for that now. I've done Cathe's rotations consistently now since September. I just started week 4 of the Feb rotation yesterday and won't finish it until next week, so I have time to think about it.

Today is Cardio and Weights day!

I glanced at the March rotation. It's not calling me so I'll poke around and pick something that does.

Jane, enjoy C&W. This is the WO that convinced my to buy a long step. I had been using a small one, but you can't walk the board on that!

Rest day for me.

DH's birthday is this month and I'm stumped for heis gift. Any ideas?

Good Morning on the 1st day of March!

Spring must be near , because I woke up to THUNDERSTORMS this morning!!! Connie, did you hear that ???:D

I looked at the rotation and it's perfect for me! I can do this one!! I am loving doing one body part a day though, so not sure yet, if I will start the rotation on Monday or wait a while. But it's already saved and I'm looking forward to it. :)

Good luck finding your DH a gift Phyllis....mine is so hard to buy for. He loves golf though so I usually end up getting him something to do with golf, or dvds (he loves to watch movies on the big screen).

Today is cardio and chest.

I forgot to ask, but someone yesterday said something about graduating to silver (and another color) bands. I was wondering are they harder than the green ones we got with the Cathe workouts? What do you use them for and where did you get them??
I need to buy some new bands, and want a "tube" too and don't know which ones I need or where to buy them.

Hi girls!

I was supposed to get up at 5am and do some Cathe cardio this morning but I rolled over instead. :7 I guess I will have to FORCE myself to go to the gym and try out one of the new ITread work outs I downloaded the other day!;) This evening I have yoga on tap.

Step class last night was fun. Two of my work buddies came with me. They aren't exercisers so they aren't familiar with step. I was laughing at them cause they were sooo confused. I know...I'm mean! LOL Well, I was "paid back" for laughing because I ended up falling on my rear during the class!:eek: We were doing a section that you are not allowed to use risers for and when I put my foot on the platform it shot out from under me and backwards and down I went!:eek: :+ :7 :7 I was a trooper though. I brushed myself off and went right back to it!

Sorry the March rotation isn't calling all of the rotation junkies around here! :p After following Cathe's new rotations for several months it's probably a bummer to have to either pick an old one or do your own thing. :-( Now that I am well on my way to completing the X with out screwing it up I have renewed faith that I can stick to a Cathe rotation so I will have to give one a try down the road!:7

The March '07 rotation isn't appealing to me, but the March '06 rotation is! So today is Slow & Heavy Chest/Back.

Jane: Enjoy C&W...that one is too much fun to be considered a workout :7 How fitting that it is on the IM#2 DVD! Congrats on the pikes:7

Becky: I recently purchased the silver and purple bands from http://fwonline.com/. The resistance is considerably harder with the silver being medium tension and purple high tension. The DOMS were incredible!

Phyllis: Enjoy your rest. I'm always stumped for birthday ideas. I got my husband a garmin GPS system for xmas and it is still in the box :(

Daily Check-in

February was an interesting month. I made a commitment to post my progress every month this year even when my results could have been better. Accountability is important. I experimented with doing my Cathe workouts in the evening instead of in the morning. This plan looked good on paper because it would allow me to sleep later than 4:00 a.m. and still have time for my Bible study. This was definitely not one of my better ideas. As soon as I started working out after work, I hit a plateau and started battling the blues. Morning workouts are far more effective and powerful in every way. Last week, my weight and measurements had not budged a bit since the beginning of the month. I returned to morning workouts this week and dropped 4 pounds. I recorded my results on my Cathe calendar this morning:

-4 pounds in February
-1" chest
-1" waist
-1" abdomen
-1" hips
-0" right thigh
-0" right calf
-0" right upper arm

-20 pounds in 2007
-2" chest
-6" waist
-6" abdomen
-4" hips
-1" right thigh
-½" right calf
-½" right upper arm

I am still loving my Cathe calendar. The picture for March is inspiring me to try the Gym Styles for the first time. I lost a few weeks of progress in February as a result of my evening workout experiment, but there is no time for down time this month. What a timely quote! Cathe is waiting for me, so I am off to enjoy High Step Challenge to blast off this new month. I am looking forward to a victorious March now that I am back on track with morning workouts.

Hi everyone,

Heather - You will love the GS series. It gets a little "heavy" in attitude after awhile, imo, but it is a good change from the other weight workouts, and the band work is priceless!

I have no idea what I am going to do this month. I asked Cathe to post an alternate workout plan for advanced exercisers in this new rotation, because otherwise it is just not going to do it for me. Bathing suit season is coming soon, and I need all the help I can get!

Today I did MM, which I had skipped last week, and now I am looking over some older rotations, primarily the Fat Loss and Definition rotation from July 03, but I am thinking I will update the workouts on it.

My workout was Cardio & Weights (you guys kept talking about it, so I couldn't resist!:D ) step premix & GS chest (omggg forgot about the endless pushups!!) For me all the bench presses and flies, flat and then on an incline get a little boooring.......I mean, there's NO DOUBT they are KILLERS,}( but I have to really focus as it tends to make my mind wander. I know I'll have doms tomorrow!

Tammy, are those bands the long ones like the ones we got from Cathe? All I see the website are much shorter, 3' and 4' bands.

Time for a yummy smoothie and shower!

Thanks everybody,

I took a rest day keeping with what my plan was for this week. I was back down this morning to my low on my new scale which is still high but a loss nevertheless so I was happy. Not sure what I did differently, wish I knew.
