Hi again. Jes I hope you will be OK soon. I hate the migraines.Again the migraine put ice in your forehead , put out the light of your bedroom and sleep. It is what I do when I suffer a migraine. If you feel you are not OK, rest. Anette happy 15 anniversary. Congratulations.

Thanks for asking. Volleyball was alot of fun but I think I'm getting a black eye-it is really sore- another woman ended up falling onto my face! Don't ask!

And Sandra, I don't think I am tired because of that and I think about the only calories I burned were from LMAO! It was quite comical and I'm quite glad no one videotaped it.;-)

Sandra and Carole, thanks for the suggestions! Because I am SOOOOOOOO damn sore and it feels like it's getting worse by the hour especially the upper body, I am going to just stick to step tonight...probably SB or combo of SB and step from SJP, I don't even think I can look at a dumbbell todayx( x( x( ! Perhaps I should have used lighter weights last night:eek:

Jes, oh no sorry to hear about your migraines, feel better soon ok and put that MIC away for today what are you crazy?? Ohhhhh, wait sorry look who I'm asking:p :p }( !! Seriously you better take it easy today, we want our Jes bouncing off the walls again very soon!!

Lisa, I am definitely on the mend, thanks! Although there are still some foods that make me queazy a week later can you believe that??

Sandra...I lift about the same. I use a weightlifting belt that I attach a 5 lb ankle weight to for the entire workout. I use 2 15 lb DB for the pre exhaust and a 50 lb BB for the squats and lunges, and lastly a 44 lb DB for the plies. I also add my own leg extensions and calf raises.

Carole, ONLY 11 MILES in frigid temps?????? Whoa!!! Hey are you along with Mariangeles the Bionic Women Duo or something???:eek: :7 You couldn't get me to run 11 miles non stop even in beautiful weather much less arctic conditions! You really don't fail to amaze me!! Be careful with all the bad weather out there!!
 
Well, sigh, i did attempt MIC and i made it half way through the HI/Lo and then i had to lay down on my step. #^&@^$**$(@@^($!!! x( No one say "i told you so" b/c i just read all the advice to rest a little too late... i am going to submerge my head in the tub and take a nap.

Carole, only 11? Shame on ya! i meant EFL.

Sandy....you are so sweet...:)...I do admit I have always had very strong legs, and I do feel fairly Bionic when I finish a mrathon! I was so cold I think I turned into a prune in the shower....x( I have absolutely no clue how runners in the east do it..????

Jes...nobody warned you about MIC }( that was not nice....laying down on the bench is acceptable though....:+ ;-) :D Are you interested in being a vegetarian?...I never thought I could...and now I remember the phrase..."Never say never"....:) ...Carole
 
Happy Anniversary Annette! Today is my 9th anniversary! I guess we just picked a great day for weddings!

Today was MIC. Try as I may to talk myself into another cardio I still did this one, not my fav but I did it and ab hits as well!

Probably no one will see thiss so late, but UGH what a day! My 4 year old daughter is sick so she was up at 5 watching me do PUB premix, no abs. It was very unsatisfying, as she was kind of whining and asking me if I was done yet, so then I felt guilty and tried to hurry.

Then I went to work by 7:30 while DH stayed home with DD. I was back home at 2 so he could go to work. I took one look at my DD and went straight to the doctors office. She has strep and tonsillitis. Now I feel like a terrible parent--should have taken her last night. So now I'm home with a sick 4 year old and a 2 year old who doesn't understand, and who will no doubt be next! I will also have to stay home with her tomorrow, at least part of the day. It's supposed to be my rest day, but I may switch it and have Saturday off, which is my birthday. I have a massage and facial planned, and DH got a sitter and is taking me to a nice dinner (miracle of all miracles).

Thanks for the laughs. I almost split my pants reading about the personal goal of lifting the same weight of a pg woman. I guess I could say the same. Some of you are in some unbelieveable shape--very admirable!
 
Hi folks! I'm a little late reporting in. Today was supposed to be MIC, but my shins and feet were still feeling the impact of Boot Camp yesterday. So I decided to make my own mish-mosh day. I felt like this week's rotation was a little light on the abs for me (a focus area for me this year), so I did a 30-minute abs marathon (KPC abs, ME abs, PUB abs subbing all knee-ins for the pikes -- too spent at that point -- and finally CTX All-Step abs). Then I decided to put on CTX Power Circuit, intending to do an intense 30 minute circuit and follow it up with a 10-minute cool-down on my elliptical trainer.

Clumsy me, I got 14 minutes into CTX PC (just after the hi/lo and a couple of minutes into the first step circuit) and (I still don't know how) I tripped on my step doing the "skip over the top" and fell backward. I really didn't see or feel this coming, so I landed hard on my tailbone (on carpet, but still YOWZA) and I twisted my ankle. :-( I don't think it's broken but boy, is it sore and swollen. My hindquarters don't feel great when I sit down, either! I've been icing and and taking ibuprofen and will keep doing so. But in any event, my workout for today was abruptly halted! I felt like a complete moron.

Tomorrow is CTX UB Split, thankfully, and I can do that, I think. I'll work around the ankle. Then I'll just have to take it a day at a time. SIGH!!!!

OK, so I planned on doing just combos 1-3 of SB w/out the challenge as I am still recuperating from my own "unfortunate event", and I was doing really well until combo 3, all of a sudden I completely lost my zip and couldn't continue...however, not happy with that I told my body ok, you don't want to do any more step fine, but we are just going to have to do something else then so I pulled out L&G and did a few select exercises including the dreaded outer thigh sweepers...Good god I almost couldn't walk out of the basement after! I didnt realize how pre exhausted my legs were from BC yesterday because I"m a lot more sore in the upper body so basically I am now a big mound of Jello}( :eek: I just hope I can get out of bed tomorrowx(
Then I think I went and ruined it all by gobbling down my dinner in less than 10 minutes...I guess my appetite has returned!! Then again I didn't eat a whole lot during the day so Cathe probably just helped get my appetite back up and running!

Ok ok, so I lied...I pushed it! lol I did Leaner Legs for the first time (no weights tho) and the the upper body split from ctx as well but I left the chest work out. OH MY! :eek: I had to leave out one or two exercises on almost every body part during upper body split...and I was using LIGHT weight! Better off though...I DO have to be careful not to upset the "little one" in my belly!:)

BTW-I found the upper body split to be much more difficult than LL...but that could be because LL was weight-free!:D

I'm feeling good. I really can't complain about much. Sometimes the belly already seems to get in the way-LOL-but I guess that comes with the territory! I have also been dealing with hip pain while sleeping...trying "creative pillow placement" to ease or eliminate it and it's been alot better than it was. The only other thing "wrong" is heartburn...That's it! So really, I am doing fantastic I guess. I hear so many horror stories about pregnancy I was expecting the worst! I have been more than pleasantly surprised!:D Thanks so much for asking! Hope all is well with you! Have a good night!:)

Oh I'm so glad you are doing well so far:7 :7 !! Have you tried the body pillows?? When my best friend was pregnant she SWORE by those things! Is everything in the belly so far or have you noticed weight gain in other places? I think you mentioned you lived in Monmouth county and I am wondering how you like living there so far. I am looking at Ocean township, Eatontown, Tinton Falls and Long Branch as possible places to move to in the next year or so. I like these areas so far and am wondering if you have any opinions if you are familiar with these towns. Thanks!! Have a great night:)

As far as weight gain in any other areas of my body...it has been extremely minimal from what I can see and I am soooo happy about that!:) I have a body pillow that is currently at my mom's house. I keep meaning to go pick it up to try it but I keep forgetting to take it every time I am there! lol I have definately heard tho that they do wonders for a comfy night's sleep when one is pregnant.

I am not truly familiar with any of the towns that you mentioned. I am fairly new to the area...only moved here about 1 1/2 years ago and haven't done much "exploring". lol I am originally from middlesex county and my hubby is from union county. I work in union county as well so most of my time is spent traveling north.

My DH and I are looking to move to a bigger home in the next year or 2 and we plan to stay in Monmouth county. Generally speaking, it IS a nice area.
