Daily check-in Thurs 4-5

YAY!!! It's FRIDAY!! :7 It is for me anyway.... I'm off tomorrow. Three day weekend!! Somebody pinch me!

I'm getting a little concerned about Heather. Has anyone heard from her besides the check-in? emails, etc.?

Today is Step Blast and 10 minutes of Ab Hits. I'm ready to crank up the cardio. Havn't done cardio since Sunday with that mishmosh step workout.

Hi Jane!

I haven't heard from Heather but didnt' she say in a post that she wouldn't be around for a while??? Don't know if she said why not but I seem to remember her saying that.

Today is a 45 min. SS cycle ride. I'll do that while watching WORKOUT on Bravo. Does anybody else watch that?
I find that watching shows like that are motivating, so I like to have them on while on the TM or bike.;-)

It's sort of my Friday too. DD is off tomorrow starting her Spring Break. DH still has to work though, of course.:-(

I'm not ready for Easter. Just canNOT believe it's this Sunday already!!! I better get it in gear !

We had a little bit of snow yesterday. We were watching the Reds game and the announcer kept saying THIS IS SNOW PEOPLE! And yesterday here in Cincinnati it was 85 degrees!!!!

No, I haven't heard from Heather. Did you read that she said she would be off the boards for awhile? I don't remember seeing that. Maybe something is going on for her since it's Easter week.

I finished RS as a substition for the run. Look ahead to tomorrow WO, I got a combined time of 82 mins for GS BSB and SJP step only. Do I have that correct? I can't spend that much time in the AM. I'll have to shorten that step routine.

Becky, snow OMG!! I hope this week is the last of the cool weather.

I have some form of cardio, ARX and yoga on tap for today.

My lower body is on FIRE after Legs and Back y'day! I thought my back would be sore but it's not...go figure!

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today is GS B/S/B and the step portion from SJP ~ FUN! :7 We woke up to snow this morning....WTH????

I did hear from Heather. She sends her best to all, she is fine and spending this week deep in prayer in preparation for Easter.

My job interview went well. In fact, the interviewer matched me with a higher paying job. I have a 2nd interview tomorrow.

Jane: You sound so happy...enjoy StepBlast which will definitely bring some more sunshine into your life.

Becky: I love the show Workout! Have fun on the cycle!

Phyllis: C'mon...you know you really want to get up 30 minutes earlier tomorrow so you can fit the workout in.....NOT! Is it possible to switch the rest day to tomorrow and do the longer workout on your rest day?

Tig: Congrats on the chin-ups! Woo Hoo!

Conni: Continued thoughts and prayers.

Tammy - thanks for everything. You are so sweet.

DH is still in a coma, I am waiting for his doctor to call me, his in a meeting about my DH right now, so I am very anxious as to what is going on. I guess the best word right now is "scared".

Today was Frannys All Out Hi/Lo and the core section from Bosu Blast.

I will keep you all updated.

Tammy - thanks for the Heather update. I do remember she was going to be away from the boards but for some reason I thought is was only the end of last week and the weekend. I'm such a "mama"!:p
 
HI gals, I'm back!!! LOL!! It was a very long 3 days of orientation and training and I am NOT DONE YET!!!! UGH!! I am off today and tomorrow and work 4 out of 5 days next week mostly split shifts so my boys aren't home alone for more than 4 hours. I still have to do more training and orientation in the group home that I am working in.

Sooo this morning I did 35 min. of the Fat Blasting Cardio(taebo) no weighted gloves didn't want to pull something with not having exercised in sooo long. My cycle started so my weight dropped a little this morning so that is good and I hope it drops more now that it has started.

Good Morning Ladies!

Just finished iTread 11/40 plus pulled out another of Cathe's stretch workouts with the ball - I feel pumped up from the run and nice and loose from the stretch.

* Jane - you almost got me there when you said it was Friday - I was like "Did I miss a day?" LOL

* Becky - My kids get a half day off tommorrow so I guess you can say they start their Spring break on Friday afternoon ;) , I can not believe Easter is this Sunday and I have yet gone out to get my youngest her basket from the Easter bunny...and she is expecting one too plus an egg hunt LOL OY! Guess I have to get in gear also and go out shopping for her stuff.

* Phyllis - Oh I didn't even time tommorrow's workouts yet and I'm doing the same thing - oh sheesh! Guess I can't putz around too much in the am tommorrow ... ack!
I'm going to do it as my goal is to stay consistant with my workouts which means staying as true to the rotations I'm following - I'm a bit OCD about that LOL.
I need to get back to where I was before I took my hiatus from working out x( Looking back I wish that I had not done that; now I'm half of where I used to be ;( but that's okay because I'm doing it now right?:)

* Conni - please keep us updated - I will continue thinking of you two and praying that your hubby pulls through all of this okay

Tammy, being that I'm still new to these guided workouts, don't have much expierience with them yet and this was my 2nd time using any iTread - I thought it was pretty good.

I liked it :), music was nice and she talks to you letting you know what to expect next.

I switched between the walkers & joggers cues throughout this workout and I was hitting my high zones quite a bit, the workout itself is pretty flat running but she has two hills; the 1st was small about .5% then halfway through towards the end she added a 6% incline, you end the workout on the hill. It was high intensity for me. My glutes and hams definitely felt that bigger hill :eek:

So for Cathe's rotation today I thought it fit in perfectly.

HTH, I'm not really good at describing and breaking down workouts but I do plan on doing this one again for those steady state runs and alternate it between the other two iTread's I have; 2/40 & 3/40
 
Hey Everyone.

I did IMAX 3 all step combos + half of IMAX 2's step combos for my cardio today. What a fun and light work out that was!:) I still have ARX and Yoga left to do...it never ends! LOL

Jane: I'm doing the labor dance for your DIL!

Conni: Sending hugs and prayers for your DH!

Tammy: The X countdown started when Phase 3 started girl! LOL I am on day 4 of week 12!!!! WOOH! :D :D :D I loved it but I need a rest. I am exhausted! :eek: How's your mom doing? I read something about a 2nd job interview? You go girl! I hope you get the job!
 
Afternoon ladies!

It has been a BUSY day...right about now is when ALL the clients start coming out of the woodwork...phone is ringing off the hook, nuts.

Anyways, I got some new dvds in the mail yesterday, and the 2007 calander...I did the step cardio premix from cardio fusion this morning...WOW. Flubbed up a few combos, but that was fun, and I worked up a great sweat!

Hope all is well with everyone else!

Tammy, good idea about the rest day, but I don't want to give up my Sat rest day. So...I may do KM tomorrow. KM is also long, but not quite as bad. I don't know - heavy sigh - I'll see how I feel tomorrow.

I'm glad Heather is OK. I thought she might be out on a shoe buying spree ;)

Vilma, are you going to do tomorrows wo as written?

Conni, is the hospital close to you?

Wendy, I like your choice of wo. One can never have too much step:)

Annette, it sounds like your job is quite versatile with the hours. Thats great:)

Step Blast is done and I tell ya... I forget how tough that SB Blast Challenge is!!}( Did 10 minutes of Ab Hits... planks from Power Circuit and Step Heat abs.

Awww Tammy:) ... I don't think my kids appreciated my mothering tendancies during the teenage years... well my son at least, my daughter wasn't as bad. Those transition years when they get their license and aren't home when darkness falls... ohhhh that was a very bad time!! I found it very hard to rest when all my chicks were not in the nest!!


Annette - good to see you back... I did remember you were in the throes of orientation. I'm glad things are settling in for you.

That's the plan ;) I already have the dvds lined up and mentally I'm getting ready. I hope to start by 8 am tommorrow - it'll be a long workout but it's gotta be done ;)
