Phyllis - I'm glad you got some rest.

Today is PUB and bonus cardio. Finally some abs! This is the 8th day without abs on the rotation unless I missed something.

I am going to try to do something today. I have alot on my plate after work today but I'll see what I can fit in. I was thinking of my Budokon vid. It's a mix of yoga and martial arts so there's a little cardio involved. I'm not sure yet...I'll see what I feel like once I know if I even have the time.

Good FRIDAY Morning Friends!

Today is KPC , which of course for me means SUB!!! I'll do step in it's place. Today calls for something fun.:D I'm not sure what yet, but want to pick something I haven't done for a while.
I WISH the new Tracey step workout had arrived, but I'm still waiting.

Jane, doesn't Kickmax have abs, or HSTA? I subbed them both and had abs in the workouts I subbed with so it's not been a stretch of 8 days w/o abs for me.

I'm so glad it's Friday. It's been a long week.

Tammy, how is your mom doing?
Connie, how is your DH?

Today is KPC but I still don't feel even 55% better at this moment so I'll be subbing for some other cardio just to keep my body moving (I actually enjoy doing KPC but just not today).

My head feels worse this morning :( and I just don't understand why. I need to drink more fluids to get this crud out of my system.

* Conni - yes, how is your dh doing?

As an afterthought, I may even take my cardio outside and do tommorrows scheduled workout of a 40 min. brisk walk today and leave KPC for tommorrow if I feel up to it.
 
I ended up doing Rob Glicks Amazing Step Styles (you don't want to abbreviate THAT one:eek: ) Combos 1-5 and Body Max 2 step and abs for a 70 minute workout.
LOADS of fun and the time just flew! Perfect for today!

Conni: Sending (((HUGS))) and prayers. I hope everything is going as well as can be expected.

Jane: How is you FIL? I love the new avatar. How are you liking this rotation? I'm not so sure about it. I found a rotation I like from '03 that is all circuits....I may start it this weekend.

Tig: Have a great workout...I hope work goes by fast.

Becky: My Mom is stable and making very slow progress. This is going to take a long time, but the good news is that she is continually moving in the right direction.

Annette: How is the job going?

C'mon y'all....I suffered through KPC yesterday and gosh darnit y'all are going to suffer right along with me....KPC FOR ALL;););)....LOL!
 
Hi Tammy, and others,

I did CTX Kickbox cardio only today.

About the job, I am now certified in CPR, First Aid and TIP (Therapeutic Intervention Program) in other words how to safely take down an oppositional patient and how to escort them and restrain them. So my training is over I am still orienting to the unit. I will be working with 6-12 year old girls!!!! I have only boys,LOL!!

I work today 12-4 to hopefully finish up some more paperwork that is done on the unit, then I work T and Th next week 2-8 orienting more on the 2nd shift which is what I will be working on the weekends. This next weekend (21-22) I shadow another staff for that weekend and I suppose start on my own weekend the next. I did find out my partner on the weekends will be a almost 21 year old college student.

So I will be the old fogey of the unit, LOL, old enough to be not only the girls I am working with mother but also the young lady that I am coworking with also.

It shall be interesting to say the least.

Good afternoon ladies!

Well, I was a tad sore and I am just tired, so I opted to go light today. Did an easy 30 minute cardio, and then did the 15 min bonus abs from BG, so I feel good about what I did.

Work is going well considering it is crunch time...I will be prepping extensions this weekend...don't know how many at this point...

I'll be back later to address some personals... need to get started on PUB.. I decided to wait until tomorrow to see my little pumpkin.
The waiting it driving me crazy but by the time I get ready (even if I don't work out), drive down there and fight that Friday afternoon traffic, it will be time to come back home (I do not like to be out after dark!)

Becky - When I did Rob Glicks Amazing Step Styles last week, I actually did abbreviate it and quickly spelled it out... LOL.... no, you can't abbreviate that one! BTW... I did the complete first combo with w/o and c/d which ran about 35 minutes (I subbed step only of SJP with this). I like him!!

Tammy - FIL is doing well. He may even get to come home tomorrow. I talked to him this morning and his plumbing is beginning to work again ;-) and that is what they were waiting for. He still has his epidural but they were going to try to pull that today.

ETA - I'm liking the rotation, it has the strength component that I really need right now especially UB.

Becky - KM nor HSTA have abs.... there is, however, a lot of "core" emphasis on KickMax due to the nature of the workout. I was still a little confused though as to why no formal ab work was on the rotation for eight days. Now we have three straight days of abs in PUB, CM, and KPC

PUB and bonus cardio is done!! I am so proud of myself!! On biceps on PUB this time I stayed with Cathe's weight (10/12/15)!!! I usually do 8/10/12... have I told you I am an UB whimp!!?:p I was having that out-of-body experience right there with her!! I pulled it out, did every rep and those 15 pounders felt like 150! I am determined to push hard on this rotation and up my strength gains!

Tammy - I am going to get CC PP, I haven't yet. I am going to have to start working OT again to pay for all that is coming up!!! So glad mom is doing better! When do you start your new job? I doubt you'll have much luck getting the troops to fall in line... LOL... there seems to be a kickboxing mutiny going on here! LOL...

Conni - How's DH?

Wendy - I did PUB abs first today and I think I like it better at the end.... I'm not sure why... I was fresh but I seem to do better when I'm all pumped up at the end.

Becky - that does sound like an awesome step workout! I will try that sometimes.

Vilma - I sure hope you feel better soon. I know it is hard to put the workouts on the backburner but don't push too hard.

Annette - good luck on the new job.

Deb - the end is near.... good job on keeping up the workouts!

Let see.... we are missing Colleen and Heather aren't we? Where is Heather? Did I miss something again?


ETA- how many of you have to open up a second window to do personals!
:) I'm afraid I have the memory retention of a gnat!


Oh and I've decided to be called nana by Joseph. That is what Becky's grandson calls her and I like it. I have got to start coaching him tomorrow to say nana!! :p
 
Jane (aka Nana) ~ Congrats on your personal best for PUB biceps! I don't start work until the 23rd, so I will definitely enjoy next week. BTW... I always open up a 2nd window for personals...another gnat brain here!
 
Tammy - I have it! CC PP... I went ahead and got it while I was thinking about it. Now we'll have to do it together sometimes (on a run day though, you know how anal I am about the rotations! :+ )

I meant to say way to go on the weights (biceps) Jane. I always do 8/10/12 too. Will have to try pushing it up next time. But I must be a whimp too because even at 12's by the time I'm reaching the end of the curls and hammers I am READY for it to be done !!!}( :eek:
