Morning everyone!

Is everyone sleeping in?

Yesterday I did a Powerstrike workout.

I'm not sure what's on tap today. It will be cardio, core and either biceps or back (maybe both if I feel ambitious).

Have a great day!

Good morning Shelley and all that follow!

Guess we are the early birds..:)

I haven't tried Powerstrike Shelley, is it fun?

I am doing a 14 mile or so part trail/part pavement run today.

Have a great day....

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today I'm going to do CC#4 and AbRipperX.

Shelley: Back & Biceps are my two favorite muscle groups to work out.

Carole: Enjoy your trail run.

Hello to all that follow...have a great day!

Good morning Shelley, Carole, and Tammy....

It's a beautiful cold (39 degrees) Sunday morning in North Carolina.

I'm taking a rest day today. Yesterday was my 7th straight day working out with cardio six of those days, so I believe I'm due. I ate too many hushpuppies at the fish camp last night and feel like I NEED to do something today but a walk will be the extent of anything I do. Rest is as important as exercising (I keep telling myself that).

DD is here for the weekend and she is out running now. She hates running outside (she's a treadmill runner) but she's out there.

Have a great day!

Hi everyone,

Today is supposed to be an 18K long run. But I haven't decided yet cause I'm not sure what's the right thing to do.

Yesterday in the swimming pool I had a major cramp in my right calf. The kind that is extremely painful and takes literally minutes to totally go away. Since then, I have this painful area right in the middle of my calf.As in the middle of the muscle. So I was thinking of skipping my long run all together and let my calf rest. On the other hand, I skipped last weeks long run due to the remodelling in my house.

What would be the better option. Run and stop when it gets worse, or not run and skip two long runs in a row? It's only 3:22PM here, I still have a little time to decide. AARGGHHH

Hey girls!

Hope everyone is having a pleasant Sunday!

I'll be going to the gym a bit later to try my hand at running.

Wish me luck!}(

Later!:+

Hi, ladies -
Yesterday I did Imax 2 and PUB - I kept all the weights at the moderately heavy range though instead of changing them, and that was quite a workout!

Today I'll do an hour of cardio, but I don't know which one. I was hoping to run, but it's all wet and yucky out, and I'm not as dedicated as Carole! I'll also do GS-Legs.

Dutchie - if you're still out there, I'd take a break today. Maybe do a shorter run, or something inside. That way, if your calf gets worse, you won't be stuck miles from home. I imagine it just needs a day or so of rest. I had one of those cramps before, and the pain afterward didn't take too long to disappear. Good luck!

Morning everyone! And a great morning it is! I just completed Step Blast (and had a Blast) while enjoying the gorgeous winter wonderland that is outside my window. We got dumped on with a ton of snow on Friday night, and it's continuing to come down. The only people driving around town are those that have 4x4's. But all that fresh snow really looks pretty balancing on the long arms of the pine trees out my window. And it's so quiet, as the snow muffles the sounds of the traffic that manages to get through.

I did Step Blast a bit differently today. I love this workout, but it needed refreshment for me, so I programmed my player to do this:
W/u;
combo 1;
full routine & blast 1;
combo 2;
full routine & blast 2;
combo 3;
full routine & blast 3;
c/d & stretch.

This was a lot of fun, and it dispersed the intensity more throughout the workout, instead of keeping it all at the end.

Carole - I love LOVED your mish mosh yesterday! I'm going to use my dvd/vhs combo player to take those three dvd workouts and record them into that workout onto a vhs tape. I will call it my Carole-Cathe-workout. :)

Jane - what's a hushpuppie?

Dutchie - lightly warm up your calf a bit, do some thorough calf stretches, then walk around a bit and see how it feels. If you can't tolerate the stretching, then I say don't do the run. I hope it's just a sore muscle, and not anything serious.

Wendy - have fun trying out the running!

Kali - tough workout you have planned! Enjoy!

Pamela - I find that I like SM3 more each time I do it. I think I'm getting better with figuring out how to use the band to enhance the stretching. We have SuperSets on tap for tomorrow - my second favourite total body weight workout (PP is my favourite!). We're into the home stretch with this rotation! It's been a fun one!

Hello to the rest of the gang! Have a great Sunday!

Sandra

Hello ladies. Quick check in today. Yesterday was L&G followed by 5 minutes of jump rope, 400 jumping jacks and sit ups. Today was MIC followed by PUB.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Hi girls.

This is what my time on the treadmill looked like today...

3.0-3.5 for w/u
4.0 for walking
5.0-5.5 for jog
6.0 for quick sprint at end

Did 2.3 miles in 30 mins not including the cool down. Yes, slow, I know but I'm just starting out and I am also 2 days past due for a rest day so I wasn't looking to push too hard. :)

So I enjoyed running. It was a nice change. I plan to stick with it and see where it takes me...:)

Planning on a rest day tomorrow finally and hopefully back to the gym on tuesday for either another spin class or the treadmill again...not sure which.

Evening all,

Didn't run today, not happy about that, but when I tried to do an easy yoga my calf didn'like the stretching in downward dog etc. So, a rest day for me. I cleaned out the guest room instead.

I'm on strike until I clean up my eating habbits. Today I only did 30 minutes on the bike. I will see if I can stick to keeping my eating habbits in check for 7 days and then I shall return to doing hardcore workouts ...

Hey again!

Okay, I ended up doing the mish-mosh that someone (I think it was Mattea) posted in the video and dvd forum last week.

Kickmax w/u and blast
SJP hi/lo
SB Challenge
SJP abs

Plus a bit of back work.

WOO HOO Shelley! You go girl! I may try that this week!

I ended up doing RS combos 1, 2 and the challenge and PLB up and abs. I was shaking like a leaf by the time I was done! For a while after too! LOVE IT LOVE IT!

Have a good night all!

Kali

Lots of great w/o's going on today. I'm going to try that mish-mosh Shelley did, it sounds good. Took my rest day today, DD and did a little shopping and did the Sam's Club thing. Had the in-laws, son and DIL, and DD here for supper.

Sandra - a hushpuppy.... it is a cornmeal based, finger shaped, and deep fried in hot grease until golden brown... and delicious, and not good to eat eight of them!!!

here's a link ....

Hi all,

Today was Step Blast. I like the way you "remixed" it Sandra. The original order seems to just build the intensity until you're ready to collapse at the end. (A good collapse :)) I really enjoy that one, but it definitely takes my breath away by the time I get to the blasts. I haven't done superset in awhile, so I'm looking forward to it tomorrow. Have a great evening everyone!

Pamela
