Good morning fitness folks...

I just finished a light run, 1.5 miles with a 1 mile walk, about 37 minutes. That all for today. I liked working the one body part a day this week.

Hi Jane.

I have a rest day on schedule for today but I may not take it...I just feel like a work out today...and I have lots of time for it...maybe I'll hit the gym again! }(

Hi Ladies! I wanted to walk today but it is too fricking cold outside! So I am going to an Imax I think. I think I might be crazy, but I'm in the mood to jump.

DH and I went out last night to see my DC's band at a local club. Had a great time. I posted some pics on my trail.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Kali

Jeez, is there noone around? It's already 7:11PM overhere people.

Well, today I had a swimming lesson... I learned the breaststroke when I was about 5 or 6 yo. Most Dutch kids learn to swim at an early age. And Up till almost 6 years ago I would go swimming 2-3 times a week. Then I had a car accident and a whiplash came to stay with me and I just couldn't do the breast stroke anymore cause my neck would just hurt too much. Since then I've been trying to learn how to do the crawl stroke (is that what you call it?). But I couldn't find anyone to teach me, till two weeks ago. On a birthday party I talked to this friend of a friend about it. And oh my, she's a swimming teacher (??). Today she taught me how to do the crawl stroke.. I loved it, loved it, loved it!!! And I'm so proud of me for not sinking to the bottom. I even managed to swim a couple of laps.. I did swallow half the water in the pool though :D And I most certainly wasn't the most elegant swimmer in the pool... more like a neantherthaler trying to stay afloat :7

And I was so pooped afterwards. Man, I'm a fit person, but I needed a break...And we were only in the water for like 45 minutes! If I didn't know any better, I'd swear I was sooooo out of shape.

And yesterday I ran 5K on the TM in 30:02min. I was so hoping I could run a (sub) 30min for the very first time, but alas, 2 seconds too slow. But it only means that I'm so close I can taste it ;) Ofcourse, running this fast on the asphalt is a whole different ball game. Oh, and i did S&H legs afterwards.

Anyways, I like the variety I'm having right now, running, spinning and now I can go swimming again. I promised the teacher I would practice every Saturday. So now you know what I'll be doing every Saturday afternoon :) If I get to be any good, I may do a mini-triathlon. What do you think? Don't tell me, I know... you need a lot of practice my dear?!

Have a great w/o and a wonderful Saturday.

Oops! I posted in the wrong check-in thread. Anyhow...

Good Afternoon Fit Chicks!

Today I wanted to do a full body workout and some cardio...so I decided on BodyMax as that should cover all the bases! I can't wait for BodyMax#2!

Hello to all that follow....have a great Saturday!

Hi fit ladies!

Nice workout Jane...cardio by itself is nice!

Glad you liked spinning Wendy! So maybe you'll go back to the gym??

Kali...have fun with Imax...:)

Dutchie...I have no doubt you could do a mini tri...:)

Tammy..I am with you and can't wait til Bodymax2 myself!!

I am doing a circuit with PLB, KPC and Kickmax punching and kicking drills. Maybe some abs too...

Have a great day...:)

Hi! Small group today. This morning I did IMAX w/u & mini-step routine followed by MIC step and c/d (this subbed for a 40 min ss run). Then I did CM3 & SM3. A very satisfying workout.

Jane - I enjoy one-body-part-a-day workouts, too. They "get in there real good!" as Cathe says.

Wendy - have you morphed from a bouncing tiger into a sweaty gym rat? :) I think it's wonderful that you have relatives who like to take Joey for a few days at a time! That's a luxury we don't have. But I certainly understand how you can miss them so much. My 5 year old DD goes on the occasional sleep over at a friend's house, and while I enjoy the break, I'm always so happy to have her home again.

Kali - you all look like you're having a great time! Nice pics!

Dutchie - Ooooh, swimming!! I used to do fitness swimming, and I miss it so much. Just this morning I was sitting on the couch, prior to my workout, imagining that I was diving into a cool pool of water. I love being in the water. DD wants to take swim lessons again, so I may sign her up for some when I can make use of the lap pool while she's taking her lesson. And yes, we call it the front crawl stroke.

Tammy - BodyMax is one of those rare workouts that leaves you feeling like you've gone to the max in every area, isn't it? I'm looking forward to BM2, as well!!

Carole - you have me very intrigued as to what you're doing today. More details, pretty please?? And, do you have a multi-disk player?

Cheers,
Sandra

Good subbing Sandra!! Yes...a very small group! No, I don't have a multi disk. I fo have a DVD/VHS player that works well for this, I have PLB on VHS and KPC & Kickmax on DVD. This is what I have planned:

PLB w-up
Kickmax P&K drill #1
PLB Leg presses
Kickmax P&K drill #2
PLB Static Lunges
Kickmax P&K drill #3
PLB Squats/Plie Squats
Kickmax P&K drill #4
PLB Deadlifts
KPC P&K drill #1
My own Leg ext machine in pyramid style
KPC P&K drill #2
My own Leg curl machine in pyramid style
KPC P&K drill #3
My own calf raises in pyramid style

Think I have time for abs???...:)...

Okay so I decided to work out at home today after all...I got as far as getting dressed for the gym but then decided the better plan was to go tomorrow instead so I took those clothes off and put on my "rags" for working out at home!;) LOL:7

I did GS Legs Floor Work, part of PUB abs, CTX Biceps and a rebounder work out.

Tomorrow I am going to the gym and will hit the treadmill. That's all I will do. Monday will be my rest day.

Sandra, LOL You are too funny!:7

Carole, that's one heck of a leg work out you have planned! OUCH! }(

HEY Wendy! How the hec are ya woman?

CAROLE!!!!!!YIKES!!!!!!!

Swimming is GREAT for you! Sure you'll need a lot of practice but you can do it my Dear!!!

Thanks Sandra. Nice workout!

Well I opted for StepWorks which is my FAVORITE step workout and I was feeling good, and after seeing what my arms look like last night decided to do GS BSB's. Feeling a bit jiggly but great! Think I may have some DOMS going on tomorrow.

Have a good evening all!

I have to admit....my arms gave out before my legs!!! Could have been the 1.5lb hand weights...so I cut out the last KPC P&K drill (or combo)...I know...wimpy....:)

As if you ever had any reason to feel otherwise?

You are my idol!:+

Hi everyone,

Today was a 40min run (3.5miles). I did CC#3, but it was too short so I tacked on a 10min steady state run at the end. Fun! Also, as Sandra mentioned, CoreMax#3, which was surprisingly more doable than the other two segments (Maybe it's because I used a 3lb ball and an 8lb dumbbell instead of an 8 lb medicineball. ;)), and Stretch Max#3. I didn't care much for SM3 - I think segment 2 with the ball is my favorite. I kept feeling like I was tying myself up. :)

Sounds like everyone had fun workouts (what a rest day Wendy. :)).

Enjoy the evening!
Pamela
