It is a slow Monday morning here - don't ya just hate Mondays? The weekend went by WAY too fast....

MuscleMax is on the rotation for today...I don't think I will ever tire of this one.

Good morning Cathy, Tammy....

It's Monday but my work week started yesterday since I had to cover for the second shift person who is sick. Worked 10:30 a.m. til 7, but it was better than 2:30 til 11. Can't handle those hours and get up the next morning!

Yesterday was a 2 mile run with a 1/2 mile w/u and cool down.

Today I think I'll dust off BodyMax and give it a whirl. Haven't done it in a while and been seeing it on the checkin. I need a good circuit w/o today.

Sandra - I hope the little one is feeling better today. Didn't she have a birthday party? Was she better for that? I hope so. In answer to your question the other day about recovery weeks, I never have actually taken an whole week off from exercising in some form but I've noticed this term used here. According to my calendar, my exercise regimen has been pretty accelerated since mid to later part of May. I am doing something a bit different now.... four days on, one day off... hopefully this will help prevent burn out. I am doing an interval/anaerobic w/o, then strength, then steady state cardio, then circuit, rest day, then starting over. We'll see.


ETA - I am a little off schedule on the above due to last week and not getting in what I needed to due to RA. Hopefully will be back on track later this week. There is a lot of flexibility in this also, if I want to do two steady state cardio days back to back, two strengths of different body parts, etc., I'll do that.

Good Morning all.

Yesterday I was supposed to do the Pyramids but I was having a pretty awful day (really bad mood) and just didn't have it in me so I didn't do anything. Should I do them today or do the next thing on my rotation which is cardio? OR, I can do Imax Extreme!!! Decisions decisions! lol Anyone have a suggestion for this indecisive chic? :p

Happy Monday...if there's any such thing!lol

Good Morning Fit Women,

Yesterday was PUB and Core Max 2. Used our Smith Machine for lat work plus Cathe's lat work. Now have major DOMS in my lats!!!

Today will be PLB using Smith Machine for as heavy as I can go for squats! YEAH! Won't have time for anything else so will have to keep it short today.

Hi there - my first time to check in! This weekend, it was Imax 2 and PUB on Saturday, then Step Blast and PLB Sunday. First time I've ever pushed it that hard.

Today, after work, it'll be a full body weight workout. Maybe freestyle, at least for the arms. I may try Leaner Legs for the bottom half - haven't decided yet.

Yes,it's Monday , but it's also my birthday, so I like today!!:)

I did all step today......just wanted to have fun!! I did the step from Step Blast and the step portion of SJP and it was a blast! Was exactly 60 minutes.
Now I'm off to do Coremax!!

Then it's off to have a late breakfast with my daughters! Strawberry crepes at Bob Evans.:p :9 ;-)
That's what birthdays are for!

Also got the Troylite Barbell from my husband !!! Got it early , so I've already started using it and I love it! Can't believe I waited so long to get one!!!

This is a quick hello. I am back from vacation, and while I was away no one did my job when I was gone. I am going to be very busy for the next couple of days just catching up. Hope you all had a good week. I can't wait to look at all the past posts.

Today will be GS Legs and some type of cardio.

I think today is jump rope intervals with pushups between sets. I usually do 30-40 min of jumping (10 min segments) with sets of 30 pushups in between. Then some core work I think.

Good Morning Fit Ladies,

I went to the beach all weekend, Fri., rest, Sat., walk/run 70 minutes, Sun., rest. and bad eating.

Back to business, this is week 12 on P90X, I am getting tired of it.
This morning, I did chest, shoulders, triceps, the ab ripper, and added KM blast only. I will eat super clean to undo the damage.

Today - Bootcamp and ME premix combo. First time with that one. Can we say LEGS???? I was shaking on that last set of low end squats!

Hey Shannon! Glad you checked in! You really were pushing it this weekend! You'll fit right in!:D

I did 30 min. of SB & RS, I only have the Fittv versions these so I did both to get my hour in. Then I did an old body sculpting tape from Sports Illustrated, UB,LB,abs. I didn't add weights to the leg work so if I don't have DOMS later I'll do my scheduled PLB.

Hey ladies,


Yesterday, did twenty minutes of LM step only, MM legs only and MM abs. Walked 45 minutes outdoors last night.

today, kpc w/u through intermeditate, MM chest, and stretch Max.

Had to modify some of my workouts yesterday, but it felt so good!

Where did the weekend go? Wish the week would fly by as fast as the weekend.

Today is treadmill run day. Then later I will do PLB and some ab work. Yesterday instead of doing abhits I did abs from me, bootcamp and pub. It was a nice change from doing the ones off of abhits. I just hate changing out dvd's though :) Maybe I shoud look into a multi disc player. Any suggestions on one?

Good morning,

This morning I did SJP Step & Weights Circuit premix. I've decided it's time to scale things back a bit more, because my stamina is declining and I've started to get ligament pain in my lower belly when doing longer cardio workouts. Seems like my body is telling me something, I think. So, a small group of us on the pregnancy/fit moms forum are doing Cathe's July '05 rotation.

Jane - yes, we had the b-day party yesterday. And thank heavens, yes, DD was feeling almost back to her normal self. She's still reluctant to eat/drink very much due to her sore throat, but otherwise her mood and energy levels were fine. Funny how she found her breakfast cereal too scratchy for her throat, but had no problem with candy, chips, and cake!! I really like your workout schedule. That gives you great cross-training variety, decent rest/recovery, and flexibility of choice. Have fun with BodyMax today!! That's a thorough workout!

Wendy - IMAX Extreme really is pure cardio. The short compound weight segments from CW don't really do much for your strength, and they keep your heart rate up. It's a fun workout! You've been wanting to try it for a few days, so I say, today is the day to give it a whirl! :)

Shannon - welcome to the check in! Wow! Those were intense workouts you did this weekend! You're going to fit right in here LOL!

Becky - happy birthday!!! It sounds like you have a terrific day planned. Enjoy!
