Good morning ladies,

Thanks for getting us started Linda.

I started my day with another new to me Cathe: Gym Style Back, Shoulders and Biceps.

Now I am at work... Maybe I will be a bit more active tonight, maybe not. Either way, I will check in later to see what all of you get up to today.

Well I am back with a couple workouts to report. This morning I did a 30 min. PHA workout mix, then off to
The wellness center to the pool to finally do my "annual" Christmas aqua step workout which was approximately
30 min. I have been doing aqua step, probably 20 yrs + and to this day, I still get comments in the locker room
Like, "oh, that's what you were doing, that looks like so much fun!" So now its shower time and probably do some
Laundry....back to work tomorrow...I have been off 11 days, it's gonna be hard :(
 
Hi gals,

Today I taught my aerobic circuit class to 7 ladies for 50 minutes. Then I did 45 minutes of weight work including abs and legs. Going heavy on most things.

Felt good. The gym was packed this morning but thankfully thinned out some after my class was over.

I'm nuts, I know, but while laundry in dryer, it's like, what can I do? I read a little, got bored and decided to do
Another workout!! :). So....I did a 30 min blender mix of upper, lower body & abs with ball & wts. I kinda am
Tired now. Unfortunately, since it's back to work tomorrow, these days of 2 or 3 workouts a day will end. Hope
I don't have "withdrawal " symptoms:):)
 
Linda - I like your kind of nuts. Sounds like something I would do.

Tonight I was considering a night on the couch reading, but decided that would put me to sleep as I was feeling tired so instead I did an hour of Shine Dance Fitness.

I feel my upper body a bit sore from this morning and my back and legs are really tight. I have to be careful not to move/dance super stiffly as I have the feeling that could make it worse. I think I may be scared of making matters worse and therefore not letting go and moving freely. Mental challenge for me I guess. How to be careful, but not too careful as I then end up moving unnaturally.

Henriette - way to go on listening to your physical cues. Sounds like your therapy has been going well.
Hi Siobhan! Hope your day has been nice.

Today, it is an upper body workout of ice pick and shovel max. My shoulders and low back are SPENT!! Now trying to look for some ice melt where the city is in very short supply and I am stranded.
 
Elsie - my therapy actually hasn't done anything for me, other than make me aware that I don't just suffer from shin splints. I now know where I am tight, but not why, nor have I found a way to get rid of it.

I had a total of 5 PT sessions, each time dealing with a different leg or part of my back and then concluding I needed to rest the rest of the year. Needless to say, I won't be going back there.

Question is what will help?
 
So sorry, Henriette. :(This has to be a frustrating experience to say the least. I understand what it is like to live with chronic pain (although my own has been 50% less these last 34 months). I know that I have learned that I have to stretch different parts of my body in different ways and it is complex. I guess the body is just complex. I dunno.
The dry needling didn't do much for you? Acupuncture just about cured the numbness and nerve pain I was having down my arm...... I really had hoped something like that would have helped you out much more than it appears it has.
What other modalities of rehab have you tried other than PT? Also, did your Dr. order any radiology?
