Good morning,
Today I did Step Blast with low-impact modifications and skipped over the blasts during the challenge. It was a good cardio session, and about as advanced as I can handle right now. I love that workout. My lower body is quite tight and sore from Push Pull yesterday; on obvious indication of how much conditioning I've lost.
Reba - PP and SS are fun!! IMO, they are Cathe's most "fun" weight workouts. If you do them as produced, they probably qualify as "intermediate" workouts, compared to her others. Before becoming pregnant I only used them occaisionally, when I wanted a quick and fun total body weight workout. Now that I'm half-way through pregnancy (and unconditioned), they are ideal for me. But the dvds have a plethora of premixes on them that take them to quite an advanced level. In the premixes she has programmed various sections to repeat 2 or 3 times. If you don't mind the repitition, you can get a great strength workout from either of these workouts. I *love* the SH series, btw. They are extremely effective for creating muscle definition, especially if they are rotated with the Pyramids.
Dutchie - you cracked me up y-day with your road-bewilderment, and today with your perfect hair! That was funny! I've had great experiences with CK Sales. One year I ordered so much stuff they actually sent me a Christmas present!
Jes - two workouts is better than none! In the very least, it will prevent you from losing any conditioning.
Suzanne - that's very impressive that you can do all the cardio you do each day, given your previous back surgery. Do you ever take a "rest" day?
Anja - I'd be happy to help you with WeedMax, but, oh dear, I'm pregnant and wouldn't want to come across any buried cat "treasures". That can be very hazardous to baby, especially in the second trimester. So, I'm with you in spirit! Go Anja go!
Terri - feel better soon! And yes, I do workout when I'm sick, unless I'm vomiting/diahrea (sp?) or have a high fever. I tone down the workouts, though. The exercise usually makes me feel better and helps to clear any mucous from my chest or sinuses.
Shelley - excellent mish-mosh yesterday! And you were still able to get up and run this morning? Nice!
Carole - a 50k!! In the July heat?? Oh my! So, marathons are too short and easy for you now, huh? You'll be doing the IronMan next year, won't you?
Wendy - 40 minutes on the gazelle sounds like a great workout!
Tammy - GS and PS biceps in the same session would kill me. You must have some stamina!
Charlotte - I've never thought of combining SS and ME! Can you give me some details about your mish mosh? It sounds interesting!
Carla - good luck with studying for those exams. I don't miss those days one bit!
Laurie Mac - I agree with you about the BC cardio premix being brutal. Are you mortal like me, and have to pause a couple of times to reoxygenate?
I'd best go shower. A friend and I are taking our kids to a river valley park today, for a picnic lunch. I love spring!
Cheers,
Sandra
