Good Morning Ladies.

Today will be a short Cathe cardio and Yoga. I am starting Phase 2 Recovery already!:)

Have a great one!

Good morning Wendy and all that follow....

Bootcamp for me today and that finishes week #3 of the rotation. I am missing ME but will get it in with next week's rotation. I had a thought last night though that I might do.... it has been a while since I've done the BE/ME bonus combo and I may do it today if I can talk my OCD self into it. I'd feel like I was cheating somehow rolling both workouts into one. Sometimes being crazy is pretty inconvenient! :p

Have a good one guys!

Good morning Wendy, Jane, Phyllis and all who straggle in later! }(

I was horrible all weekend and didn't workout at all !

Was just feeling sluggish, it's TTOM, and the weather was rainy, cloudy and dreary (even some SNOW and ICE Sat. night;( )......and I couldn't get myself moving.

Today I WILL work out, but haven't picked today's workout yet. I am leaning towards maybe Cardio & weights , since I need to do both, but we'll see.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We kept our grandson (who's now 13 months old!!! :) ) overnight for the first time and had a wonderful, fun time with him. He is such a good baby and we loved every minute of reading , playing , dancing and singing with him.
Jane, you have such joy ahead for you!!!!!

Have a good one ladies!!

Okay, I am back with great news to report!!:D

Proudly I say that I did IMAX2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:7 }( :D

I did motify several of the blasts and I totally skipped the genie hops, fast straddle taps and ski hops due to my back, but the rest I completed .........very HAPPILY! I love that workout and haven't done it since probably August of last year !!!

I am going to add a body part (wanting to work one body part a day for a while) and call it a wonderful day!!:D :p

Have a good one everybody!!:7

Good morning!

Way to go Becky! You are really working hard, and your fitness level seems to be reflecting that! Good Job!

I had to do Imax 3 today, I had subbed for it last week, and I needed some interval work, so I did it. I only modify the jumps off the step, I don't like that much jarring on my knees, but I made it through. I also did abs from MIS. I am proud of myself!

WOOHOO way to go Becky!

Conni - I did IMAX3 last night. For some reason, I didn't dread it as much as I usually do, maybe because I haven't done it in a while.

Hey,everyone,

I did the 49 min. premix off of Amy Bento's Xtreme Kickbox today for my workout. Took me forever to decide what to do, I honestly don't know what is wrong with me here lately when it comes to working out. sigh. Thanks for listening.:)

Annette, I think we all go through these times when nothing seems to jump out at us...I will sit and stare at my collection and just hope one will leap onto my lap! This is when I try to go back to something I haven't done in a long time, just to jar myself out of my slump!:)

Annette,

I did that this morning. I was waaaaay late in starting my workout because I just couldn't think what I wanted to do!
I ended up going for fun factor since I needed to be motivated. That for me, was going to be straight cardio (no blasts) from Imax2. Then once I got going, I ended up doing it in full AND had fun! I added some shoulder work (from GS & DM) and felt much better once I was done. But I DO know exactly what you're feeling like .....I didn't work out at all over the weekend for that very reason. Couldn't get going, couldn't make up my mind what workout to do....etc...

Just don't feel like you're alone in this. I'm sure we all go through times like this with our workouts and/or our diets.

Thanks Connie for the kind words.:)

I've decided to lock my OCD self in the closet and do the BC/ME bonus combo... that'll catch me up and I'll start week #4 on Wed not behind. Off to suit up....

I did the 4 step combos from LIC today and Baron Baptiste's Long and Lean yoga.

Tomorrow is a 20-30 min run and Core Synergistics.

Jane, so did your OCD self survive in the closet while you did your work out!? :p

Chow!

Wendy - yep... and I thoroughly enjoyed myself doing the BC/ME bonus combo. It has been a long time since I've done that one and it was so much fun, just a great circuit workout!

Daily Check-in

I had a delightful Sunday. I bounced on my rebounder yesterday morning and did all three segments of Stretch Max. My flexibility was so much better when I was doing Stretch Max on a regular basis. I am hoping to do the whole workout twice a week. The first segment is not my favorite, but I enjoyed it yesterday morning. I skipped a few of the poses that are not comfortable for me. I love the music during the floor stretches. This is a relaxing and restorative workout, and I am looking forward to enjoying it every week.

My feet were starting to hurt, and I knew that it was time to replace my beloved Nike Shox cross training shoes. I went to Academy yesterday afternoon, tried on countless brands and styles of shoes, and settled on pretty pink and white Reebok cross training shoes. They were $49.00 as opposed to $99.00 for Nike Shox. They are cushy, and I am hoping that they will work for me. I am trying to save money for the Cathe Road Trip. No matter how expensive my shoes are, I still need to replace them every 3-4 months. My Nike Shox Turn and Go cross training shoes survived 4 months of intense use. I have an extra pair of those that I bought last year. I am hoping to extend the life of the new pair by alternating them with these new shoes. I want to save my Nike Shox for workouts like Drill Max. I have a pair of Nike Shox Rhythmic studio training shoes for Rhythmic Step and a pair of Nike Air Max Hava dance fitness shoes for IMAX3 and Low Max. IMAX3 has some dancy choreography with pivots and reverse mambos, so I need dance shoes with pivot points. I have a different kind of Nike dance cardio shoes for Kari Anderson’s dancy hi-lo workouts. Can you believe that I have special shoes for special workouts?! I need an intervention!

Glory! If you heard a shout of joy coming from Central Texas this morning, it was me! I am finally back on track with morning Cathe workouts! After pondering the Psalms, I did the boot camp challenge premix on the Kick Max DVD for the first time. What a blast! This is definitely a feel good workout. I was higher than a kite after the blast challenge (which I did on my rebounder to protect my joints). After the warm-up, Cathe launches right into the high intensity blast segment (like a mini IMAX without a step) and wraps up the workout with the kick and punch combinations followed by a soothing stretch. This is my favorite kickboxing workout. It is one of my favorite Cathe workouts of all time. It is fun, fun, fun! I am pretty much alone in my love for this workout, but it makes me so happy.

I felt so good after my first intense morning workout in almost 2 weeks. I had a song in my heart as I was driving to work, the grass was greener, the sky was bluer, and the sun was brighter! Intense cardio is the best antidepressant I know.

My eating was clean today. I started packing my meals and snacks again and replaced the soy protein with an organic yogurt smoothie this afternoon. I am planning to eat an organic boiled egg tomorrow night. My energy was consistently high all day. I am definitely in tune with what works for me and blesses my body.

I enjoyed a peaceful day at the office with my boss out of town. I went to the club after work and jogged in the pool with Rebecca. We had a powerful prayer time together in the steam room. That is our prayer closet at the club.

Cathe shared that she is planning to film more than one series of new workouts this year! I need to start saving my pennies if I want to preorder new workouts and attend the Cathe Road Trip.

My meals and snacks are packed for tomorrow. It is time for a warm bubble bath and a restful night of sleep to recharge for Muscle Max.

Blessings,
Heather B.
