GOOD MORNING!!! I survived Toy Clean Up 2005!!!!! Oh joy, oh happy dance! It took two adults 4 hours to do it, but every toy in this house has been found, reassembled, organized, and found a home! A lot went into the garbage, other stuff got put into storage, and all the new Christmas stuff was given a shelf or a box to go into. Our house looks soooo uncluttered and tidy. Phew! I even went through all of her clothes, putting away the "too smalls", and adding the new stuff that I've been waiting for her to grow into. DD was so excited to see her clean room that she gave me a huge hug and told me "Thank you Mama! I LOVE it!" Gotta love that
This morning I decided to give a modified IMAX2 a whirl, and had a ball. I modified intervals 5, 7 & 9, and kept my exertion levels for the entire workout at between 60-80%. Interval 10 probably winded me the most, and I may modify that one next time; going side to side over the step, rather than spinning around. I think Jes said she does this, and it sounds like a good idea. For interval 5, I did 4 plyo-two-jump jacks for all the plyo and airborn jacks. For interval 7 I did the side hops one leg at a time (as per her IMAX modification suggestion), and just kept doing the hop-hop-jump when she started tuck-jumping. For interval 9 I did 4 plyo jacks instead of 8 plie jacks. I gotta say, the entire workout felt much easier, and a lot of fun, when I didn't burn my quads, back and core out on those moves. I will do this again! Then I did CTX Chest, and LL abs.
Wendymin - good on you for trying Power Circuit! If you have found a way to do both 10-10-10 and Power Circuit at a comfortable level, then you are ready for Circuit Max. The choreography is very, very similar.
Kathy - I am so sorry to hear that your ankle, and now your tailbone, are causing you pain. I hope your tailbone does not take a long time to heal :-( I think you have a very good attitude about finding workouts that are doable without exacerbating your injuries. Many people would just stop altogether; but at least you figured out what you can safely do, even if it's not what you'd originally planned. If you aren't already doing this, something that might be nice for your tailbone is if you use your stability ball for a chair.
Jes - the dancing sounds like it was a lot of fun!! And no, no thesis work was done this weekend (frustrated sigh). I did housework all weekend. Grrrr. Good luck with that paperwork; it sounds like a tall mountain to climb.
Sandy - what kind of things did you buy from the Pampered Chef?
Carole - I'm really getting antsy for Stretch Max. Are you eyeing up another marathon any time this year?
Laurie Mac - your DD telling you to go exercise cracked me up. I'm sorry she wasn't into an evening of mother-daughter bonding. Did you workout?
Hi Smoogy Marla! - Yes, DD & I still have the same morning routine, which is lovely. Between Xmas and New Years' she was home for the week, and we didn't wake her up before she was ready. So for an entire week she came downstairs after I'd finished my workouts, and she actually complained!! She honestly asked me to wake her up so she could lay on the couch and watch me exercise! I'm starting to think she could actually be an oddball......This morning, btw, she told me that she thinks Cathe is the prettiest of the whole gang, and that she really liked the music in IMAX2, interval 10. So there you go; IMAX2 as assessed by a 4 year old.
Have a good day everyone!
