Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was so busy I couldn't turn around. On Saturday I did SH Tricep & Bicep plus warm up of Imax2 and 2nd five intervals and Imax1 2nd five intervals. That was a lot of fun. Sunday was my rest day so I spent it walking around a fabric warehouse looking for some fabric for youngest DD's Renissance dress. We found some wonderful material and she will look beautiful.

Sandra, on Friday youngest DD only wanted to watch Lizzie McGuire on DVD, so she told me to go exercise. :7

I will be doing CTX Upper Body tonight

Happy Exercising!

Laurie Mac

GOOD MORNING!!! I survived Toy Clean Up 2005!!!!! Oh joy, oh happy dance! It took two adults 4 hours to do it, but every toy in this house has been found, reassembled, organized, and found a home! A lot went into the garbage, other stuff got put into storage, and all the new Christmas stuff was given a shelf or a box to go into. Our house looks soooo uncluttered and tidy. Phew! I even went through all of her clothes, putting away the "too smalls", and adding the new stuff that I've been waiting for her to grow into. DD was so excited to see her clean room that she gave me a huge hug and told me "Thank you Mama! I LOVE it!" Gotta love that :)

This morning I decided to give a modified IMAX2 a whirl, and had a ball. I modified intervals 5, 7 & 9, and kept my exertion levels for the entire workout at between 60-80%. Interval 10 probably winded me the most, and I may modify that one next time; going side to side over the step, rather than spinning around. I think Jes said she does this, and it sounds like a good idea. For interval 5, I did 4 plyo-two-jump jacks for all the plyo and airborn jacks. For interval 7 I did the side hops one leg at a time (as per her IMAX modification suggestion), and just kept doing the hop-hop-jump when she started tuck-jumping. For interval 9 I did 4 plyo jacks instead of 8 plie jacks. I gotta say, the entire workout felt much easier, and a lot of fun, when I didn't burn my quads, back and core out on those moves. I will do this again! Then I did CTX Chest, and LL abs.

Wendymin - good on you for trying Power Circuit! If you have found a way to do both 10-10-10 and Power Circuit at a comfortable level, then you are ready for Circuit Max. The choreography is very, very similar.

Kathy - I am so sorry to hear that your ankle, and now your tailbone, are causing you pain. I hope your tailbone does not take a long time to heal :-( I think you have a very good attitude about finding workouts that are doable without exacerbating your injuries. Many people would just stop altogether; but at least you figured out what you can safely do, even if it's not what you'd originally planned. If you aren't already doing this, something that might be nice for your tailbone is if you use your stability ball for a chair.

Jes - the dancing sounds like it was a lot of fun!! And no, no thesis work was done this weekend (frustrated sigh). I did housework all weekend. Grrrr. Good luck with that paperwork; it sounds like a tall mountain to climb.

Sandy - what kind of things did you buy from the Pampered Chef?

Carole - I'm really getting antsy for Stretch Max. Are you eyeing up another marathon any time this year?

Laurie Mac - your DD telling you to go exercise cracked me up. I'm sorry she wasn't into an evening of mother-daughter bonding. Did you workout?

Hi Smoogy Marla! - Yes, DD & I still have the same morning routine, which is lovely. Between Xmas and New Years' she was home for the week, and we didn't wake her up before she was ready. So for an entire week she came downstairs after I'd finished my workouts, and she actually complained!! She honestly asked me to wake her up so she could lay on the couch and watch me exercise! I'm starting to think she could actually be an oddball......This morning, btw, she told me that she thinks Cathe is the prettiest of the whole gang, and that she really liked the music in IMAX2, interval 10. So there you go; IMAX2 as assessed by a 4 year old.

Have a good day everyone!
Sandra

Hi all, I did Pyramids Chest, and back then did S&H incline chest press only, then onto All Step for cardio with abs.:D Nice workout, no heel pain, only general foot fatigue that I worked through. My dh is home today for the holiday and has help (a friend) with working on the house so that puts him in a good mood!!:7

Hope you all have a great day!!:7

And yes Sandra, my pregnancies were fairly un-complicated. Of course the pregnancies went fine but delivering was a different story,LOL!! I had 3 sections (so you can envy my pregnancies but when it came to delivery I couldn't do that part). How old is you daughter?

Have a great day!! :D

Sandra sounds like you got alot accomplished!! I remember those days...what always amazed me was the amount of dirt and miscellaneous items that would wind up being in the bottom of my sons toy boxx(

Carole, thanks for being so supportive in my 'reluctance' to get moving yesterday.....Next time though, just tell me to get my lazy A** of the couch! I did infact get up and do my exercise and was very happy that I did:)

Today I'll be doing Leaner Legs and abs

Have a great day everyone

Good Morning.

Getting ready to leave for my lunch now...but just wanted to check in.

I will be doing CTX: Kickbox (cardio only) along with upper body work from either CTX or BS/BF-not sure which one yet-depends on how I feel after those danged arm drills! lol

Ok, gotta go freshen up!

Talk to you all later!:)

Have a great work out!

Sandra: congrats on the clean up and your brilliant modification of imax2. sounds like a winner. how long into your pregnancy do you get to jump around like that?

Sandra,

My plan is to give 10*10*10 and power circuit one more go around each over the next week or so and then move on to Circuit Max.

I'll tell ya, I am really enjoying the variety in the ctx series. I think I'm gonna do a rotation in February of all CTX and see what that's like.

Ok, well, gotta run.

B Back later!

Have a great work out!

Jeez, I haven't been on since Friday. Saturday I had a lovely birthday, thanks for the well wishes. I also had my rest day that day.

Sunday I did Body Max for the first time. 92 minutes from start to stop. That seems a bit extreme. I did like that it had 3 distinct segments. Easy to combine or do by themselves. I slept like a baby last night!

This morning I did PLB premix up. My legs have been grumbling all day so far!

Have a great day!

Susan

I didn't realize that some of you in the US had the day off today! Wow! V. nice! Also explains why the list is kind of quiet today.

Wendymin - A CTX rotation sounds like a great idea. You are really going to love the Timesaver, I think. Have you ordered the BB series yet?

Annette - ultimately it doesn't really matter how the little critters get out, does it? As long as the GET OUT!!!! :)

Lisa - yes, it is an "adventure" going through all the boxes. Fortunately we didn't find anything that had created its own ecosystem. A while back DD was playing in the living room when she game into the kitchen looking very green. She informed me that she'd found her purple cup! It had been missing for a month. It had milk in it. She'd tasted it. x(

Jes - enjoy RS!! I get to jump around like this until I feel like I just don't want to anymore. I'm really loving this "modification" business. It's making my workouts really fun everyday because I never have to work hard. No turning purple allowed :)

Foodie Sue - PLB premix the day after Body Max in its entirity? Yeah, I'd be grumbling too, if I were your legs! Jeepers, good work!

Getting back to work,
Sandra

I did Body Max today. It's on the rotation for tomorrow, but I'm home alone today and thought I'd take advantage of the time I had. That's just one heckuva long workout!

Hi Sandra!

Thanks for the encouragement, little mama! I am trying very hard to keep my attitude positive and creative. And speaking of creative, WOW did you have a creative and productive day! There's nothing quite as satisfying as cleaning out kid stuff, is there? ;-)

My ankle is MUCH improved today and my tailbone, well, I don't know because I'm not risking that sharp pain again! It's not bothering me even in the slightest in my everyday activities, just on roll-ups or roll-downs. So I'm hopeful it will heal fairly quickly because it doesn't seem like a huge injury.

I actually haven't worked out yet today because it's the MLK holiday and son #1 had some doctor's checkups, so we just got home. Yesterday I finally was able to do CTX UB Split (I had to take Friday and Saturday totally off), and I also did LL abs (which I'd forgotten how much I like, BTW). So today my options are fairly limited, but I'm thinking I'll try something different for abs (some ball work, maybe -- GREAT idea to sit on it!) and maybe just a little trial run on the elliptical trainer, with my ankle all taped up. I actually think it'll be okay on that. I REALLY wish I could do LL or L&G or the like because my legs and glutes need it, but I think that may be a few days off. But some leg floorwork may be on the agenda, minus ankle weights and minus those hamstring lifts that require you to brace your heels on the ball or step -- those require too much ankle work for stabilization.

I'll report back in later! Have a great day!

Hi ladies....I did a 3 mile run this morning and now off to do Janis Safell kickboxing, and some upper body (shoulders, bi's tri's)...

Sandra....good job you did with Imax2!!! Not sure of another marathon but in March I am doing a 50K (31 miles) on trails with alot of hills!!

Lisa...okay, next time I'll be harsher...:)...j/k! see, you got back on track with Meaner, oh I mean Leaner legs...

Jes, is this the first time for RS? I like it alot.

Foodie Sue...way to go with ALL of Bodymax!!

Enjoy whats left of the day...:)...Carole

Hi Everyone,

Not much workout yet today - I woke up exhausted and I ended up basically watching a workout instead of actually doing onex( .

I have taken it easy lately and I just want to do a KICK ME IN THE A$$ workout but I'm hoping that I am pregnant so I don't want to mess anything up now. I really miss IMAX 2 so I may do it like Sandra suggested (Thanks Sandra:)). Hopefully, I'll know this weekend-Waiting sucks!x(

Donna, you look great! Your daughter is absolutely adorable. It's nice to see pictures to go with the names-maybe someday I'll add mine.

Carole- I wanted the Colts to do well and the Jets but so much for that, huh? My DH swears that NOONE will beat the Patriots-he's not really a fan but he just thinks noone will be able to beat them. It'll be a good game this weekend. Who are you rooting for?

Well, my DH is making dinner right now so I should probably go help.

Wendy

Hey all! i have had one hell of a day, but i did manage to get RS done with out screwing up once!!!! it was my second time to do it Carole!! Only 3 miles today? SLACKER! :p

Wendy, keep us posted! i have my fingers crossed! your dh cooks! Lucky girl!

Donna, great to see you post over here!

jes

Sandra-

Have not ordered BB yet...debating on wether I should hold off and ask for it for my B'day in April. I didn't buy CTX too long ago and I also just ordered a stability ball, and tubing that I am waiting to get. Plus I keep batting the barbell idea back and forth...even if I don't use it until post baby I think I have decided that I definatley want one! I also still would like the classics dvd as well. So...with all of that on my list...I think it best to ask for some of it for my B'day so that my poor credit card doesn't spontaneously combust on me! }( We shall see if I can hold out...

Have a great work out!

Jes-

Yes my DH cooks but nothing too fancy. Tonight was cheeseburgers and fries-not exactly healthy food(at least he baked the fries:))But heck, I didn't have to do it so no complaints here.

He even makes the bed as if he worked at a hotel-the sheets are tucked in so dang tight it's like crawling into an envelope!

Oh and Jes- good job on RS-the 3rd combo can get a bit tricky.

Wendy
