Good Friday Morning Everyone,

It's a long weekend here. I am heading to London (not england) to see a family friend for a night. I also work tomorrow but have Monday to myself with the famjam.

Today I did Cathe Live - thursday's leg workout. I added on BJ Gaddour Delta Fit KB workout - one segment.

Sandy - congrats on Cathe Live! It's great to check out. I will keep mine for a month or two

Annette - keep us posted on what will happen next with your instructing (or not)

Everyone else - have a great day and enjoy your workouts.

Hi Shiobhan,

I did another 2 Cathe Live workouts today. I started with the 100th workout. Once again a really good one... First half or so boxing and kicks, then heavy bag, 100 reps, and then step/weights stuff... So nearly a bit of everything.

Afterwards when I discovered I had more time to w/o then I'd planned I decided to add on more cardio... Fun stuff. I picked Get stepping which was not too long at 45min. I started with 2 risers each side for the warmup and then changed to just one, which was what everyone in the class was using. Unfortunately I stepped off the step wrongly during the last run through twisting and landing on my left ankle (my weak spot). I decided not to force it and hurt myself further but to call it a day. Fun w/o. I think I am really starting to get the hang of Cathe Step w/o's and the Live ones so far are not super complicated.

Have a nice start to the weekend ladies.

Shiobhan - enjoy your long weekend and visiting your friend.

Hi gals,

My day was mixed up, this morning I got my hair done perm and cut, then I went to the gym for a 70 minute circuit workout.

Then came home and went grocery shopping.

The gym guy is supposed to call in about 10 minutes. I post again if I have news

Have a great weekend!

Hi fit friends. :)

W/O today: Warm-Up from HiiT Double Pyramid, Skogg KBell Ladders 1 (having fun taking out DVDs from Uni LIbrary ....can only keep them for 2.5 days) and 30 minute intense stretch session.

Yay Annette! I have my fingers crossed for you. :) Such a positive thing to be doing.

You are a Cardio ANIMAL Henriette! j/k. Regarding the foam roller, I just bought mine used years ago & it is something simple made from recycled styrofoam (I just had make sure it was long enough as I have a long torso and arms). I have seen the cushier ones around. I completed my training through Yamuna, so I use balls as well and the balls are softer. I do not use the roller around the intercostals at all or the psoas. I use the balls. I wouldn't advise anyone to use anything too hard around the ribs/intercostals. Jill Miller (Yoga tune-up) and Elaine Petrone also use balls. Cross Fit has popularized foam rolling I think their mentality is closer to "it has to hurt" to benefit me. (not everyone of course). I just don't roll that way. Plus, when dealing with old scarring, the body responds better to consistent and gentle, IMHO.

Sandy, enjoy your mostly rest day. Regarding Suzanne Bowen, yeah she is excellent! I have a couple of her downloads ...I do not have the DVDs. I would say that she isn't always as challenging as Sleek Technique or even many of Barlates/Linda Woolridge. These would also be cheaper on your side of the ocean as well.

Ceci, have a wonderful drive across Ontario. I hope the weather cooperates for you. Would this drive take you to any of the Great Lakes? My geography is rough here. lol.
