Daily Check in Friday February 4

Thanks, Wendy;

My cat-(named BICHITO and means in English "little insect" wow what a bad sound in English -is also watching me workout but always it's very far from me and approaches when i make stretch. That means I am very dangerous with those jumps, kicks and punchs...

And it's 18 pounds becuase no workouts only watching, sitting or sleeping and eating.

Good morning!

This morning I did Step Works and the stability ball ab segment from High Step Circuit.

I am so glad I workout! Nothing feels better than a great sweat. I typically wake up feeling like I've been hit by a truck, but by the end of a workout, I'm feeling like a million bucks. It's a great way to start the day!

For the first time today I noticed in Step Works that Cedie drops down to a 6" step for the second combo. Never noticed that before. Also, Jai also wears a black wrist band, like Cathe does (in HSC). I'll bet any of Cathe's crew make great instructors in their own right.

I'm thinking that a great workout for down the road when I want somethng gentler, would be to take all of the lengthy cool-downs from each of the three workouts on that dvd (Cardio Hits) and put them together. That would be a nice 30 minute workout.

Wendymin - the first 7 minutes of Step Works combo#3 are a broken down version of the start of All-Step, combo#2. Pop your disc in, and practice from the start of combo#3, until 47:42, or when Cathe says "Now we've moved to a 6 inch step......."

Sandy - glad to hear you're back at the gym! Did you get a warm reception?

My poor stomach is so confused these days. I am finding that water and fresh fruits and vegetables in particular seem to aggravate it. It's like they heighten the stomach acids, or something like that. Foods such as refined bread, crackers, milk, eggs, and cheese seem to settle it down, so I find that I'm having a hard time getting all of my fruits & veggies in for the day, while easily going overboard on the starches and proteins. For anyone who knows anything about stomachs and digestion, does this make any sense? I also have a hard time getting enough water in me, because it just makes my stomach feel so awful.

Good workouts, everyone!

Hi, everyone. I am taking the liberty of joining you all here on the daily check in. I followed along and posted during the Januray Rotation, but have just been fluttering around since.

First, I am going to post a photo of me this weekend, when I find one I like. I hope nobody minds me putting one up with me and my boys!

I am babying my left wrist following surgery the end of December to remove a cycst on the top part of my hand and wrist. Doc has me in a 'wrist demobilizer' for another week and a half, and I have STRICT instructions of 'no weight-bearing activity' until then. SO...that means I am doomed to cardio, abs, and my weight bench to do lower body workouts. If anybody has any suggestions on how I can do ANYTHING for upper body while 'demobilized', please let me know. I've been thinking about strapping my 2.5 pound wrist/ankle weights on and doing some moves that way...can't really think of anything else.

I am PUMPED for Hardcore and should be getting it tomorrow or Monday...I ordered very early and am only in PA for shipping.

Sorry to babble...this morning I did Step Works for the first time in a long time. I love pulling out an older Cathe workout and realizing that her old ones are just as much fun and intense as her newer stuff.

Thanks for letting me join you all!

Gayle

Hi Everyone! Today is Muscle Endurance and two mile jog with the dog. I did C & W yesterday with a two mile jog added on with the dog! That was a great workout! The weather has finally perked up and its great to get outside! My dog loves it too.

Today I really really need a hardcore workout so I can get all my frustrations out! Job is not going too well, and it might be time for me to think about change and seriously do something..........

Good thing about the weekend is the weather is supposed to crawl up to 62 degrees! For Nebraska in February, I couldn't be more pleased!:D

Just minutes before I logged on I was seriously thinking about not working out because I am so frustrated at work, but when I read all the above posts ---------- I knew what I really needed was a good workout! THanks! :+ :+

Hey, all:

Today is a rest day for me, unless my schedule gets drastically altered this afternoon and I have some free time, which doesn't look to happen any time soon, sigh. :-( I work from home on Fridays, so you think that would make it easier to work out, but it's actually a lot harder because everyone thinks that since I am home they can visit, call, ask me to run their errands... also, work is very busy right now, ick!

I will exercise vicariously through your posts!

Cheers,
Marie:)

Oh I'm sure my PT didn't want to get in the middle of it. But he actually couldn't believe his friend or anyone would start a date that way. We had a good laugh about it though (I'm not a nice person, I know). When I told him that at the end of the evening my date actually complained of a back-ache from sitting on a bar stool for a few hours and I had bitched at him to go to the gym and do some dead lifts, my PT was laughing his head off :) Well guess, you had to be there to appreciate my sense of humour :)

Anyways, yes my date did call, apparently a couple of times but he got my answer phone and didn't leave a message. When he finally got hold of me, I had people over and I cut the call short. He will be calling again he said. Guess I have to be ruthless! That's what you get when you date...

Hi all, crazy day I did PUB and CTX biceps , I am beginning to think that I did not do abs when I had every intention of doing them. I may or may not get to cardio today, I didn't yesterday:+ :( and I felt bad. My cycle is on day 56 and it is no where in site so I had to go to the doctor to take a pg test before they could get me some provera to start it. Then they tell me that it still could take up to 2 weeks to start!!! I am sooo bloated and my weight is waaaaaaaaaaay up and I really need this thing to start. And yes the pg test was neg. It would have been nothing short of a miracle had it been positive:eek: !! I took my first one after I got the prescription filled so I can get the ball moving.:)

Hope you all have a great workout!!!:D

Hello, Ladies!
I am late posting today. Today I did Timesaver 1&2. It was a lot of fun. I love seeing all the pictures. I will hopefully get some up this coming week. My digital was packed up . We had to totally pack up our house to remodel from Hurricane Ivan. It was flooded. But it is finished now. So we are unpacking.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Sandy,
You know I really don't want to know what we're having. Which most of our friends don't believe since we are very organized anal retentive people. They are convinced we'll change our minds. I just think that its great if others want to know but for me I want the surprise.:)

I hope we don't change our minds.

Thanks for asking,

Hi Wendy,
Hey just think that will be the biggest surprise of your life!!! That's so funny that most of your friends don't believe you...but it seems like it's such a departure from how you normally are I guess it's understandable! Just get ready as you progress in your pregnancy for those thousands of people that can SWEAR they know what you are having by how you are carrying the baby:) That happened to one of my friends and it drove her nuts!!

Sandra, yeah it was good to be back at the gym and it was a nice reception, lol! I'll be sending you an email shortly!!

Hi all- hope everyone is having a great day!

Just a quick check-in. I went to the gym Wed. and did a rebounding class- ouch!! It was so much fun but not an easy class! I had a rest day Thursday and did Timesaver #3 tonight. I'm still wokrking back up to full steam but I can feel myself getting stronger every day.

Have a wonderful weekend all-
Jean
